Use what you have near you, if you are wildcrafting inputs, be sure to not take from nature without giving back. Recycle, use less chemicals, pour your extra compost tea in your community. We can stop this wild climate change, but we can seriously slow it down, almost completely if we all do our part. Kinda a rough week, everyone. I’ve been battling the flu all week and my energy is zapped. So firstly I had been growing increasingly annoyed of leaf clawing. I addressed overwatering and started only watering every 4-5 days and the girls responded well. I researched defoliation as much as I could and gave it a go because the plants weren’t getting optimal light. Might’ve overdone it, I’m not sure. Then came lowering the screens to begin scrogging. I’ve read probably every forum and article and looked at dozens of diaries; but it feels like when I’m tying branches to the screen it’s just stacking them on other leaves and blocking more light. I hate my LED, it’s probably only good for one plant. But today one of the bulbs went out, brand new light. I decided to buy a 315w CMH Light should be here next week. Live and learn. Should have done a single plant grow. It’s a new week though it will all work out. 🍁

6/29/2021 - New mains for quadlining growing out nicely since topping. - Watered with un-PH'd de-chlorinated tap water. - Foliar fed with DIY kelp extract. - She's jumping out the gym, very excited. - It's been 5 weeks of alternating DIY nutrient teas (coconut water + kelp extract + neem & karanja extract + water) and un-PH'd Toronto tap water, and I've seen no signs of deficiencies or lockouts. - She's taking well to the various DIY foliar sprays as well, no burning. 7/1/2021 - I think one of my bottle sprayers is infected with butyric acid, 'cause it stinks in here, loll. - SHE WANTS TO GROOOWWW! 7/4/2021 - Growth a week after topping is strong. Hoping the auxins in the kelp foliar, and nutrients in coconut water are responsible. - I barely need to train her right now, it's as if she wanted to be topped. Besides some periodic light bending, she seems to be leveling out her branches herself.

Apr 11 The plant is now actively sacrificing lower, less important leaves. I've used flexible garden wire to separate the side colas from the main cola to help light get in. Things are fattening up and trichomes are developing.

FB is getting phat and healthy , just keeping up the defol and trying to get my bud sites organised , the next week should see her stretch out some . Same same next week

Baked bomb is doing great. She got a few spots on the leaves from getting wet. It is not anything I am worried about. She will only get so big in this potter. I imagine she will still turn out nice size if I keep up on her. She got her first lst and selective defoliation. She has been getting fed about every other day with ph water put on to keep wet between feeding. She is good to go. Branch broke off, but I actually decided later to put the rest of the plant back for ripening. When I pull the rest I'll update the diary with a new week. Then when I press rosin I'll see if ripening made the yield better or terps improved, etc.

Dear diary, Week 3 done! Was away for the end of the week so hence why there are not as many photos this week, but my flatmate was keeping up with the feeding during my absence. G.C #2 kept looking weird with spots and “mutated” growth, but looked a bit better as the week progressed and I gave a calmag watering, lowered the EC and lights to address what I thought might be causing it. 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀 ⏰ Day 18: Gave another foliar of calmag plus a watering of calmag water at 1.35ms 6.3ph as G.C #2 looks a bit better and I want to make sure the new coco has all the calcium it needs. On top of that I backed off a bit on the light to 290ppfd as I’m seeing some signs of light stress. Lastly I later feed regular nutes at 1.35ms 5.8ph. ⏰ Day 19: I am seeing some more “burning” on the new growth tips so I feel happy about the choice to back off on the EC and lights. A feeding was given at 1.35ms 5.5ph. G.C #2 is looking better so that’s a good sign, so I lights dropped a bit more to 250ppfd. ⏰ Day 20: The regular feeding was dropped again slightly to 1.26ms and 5.6ph and light increased to 270 ppfd. G.C #2 keeps looking better and the damage seems to not be getting worse. I can see signs of the same thing on the others as the older growth comes out more, so hopefully it’s all good now. ⏰ Day 21: Feeding given of 1.26ms 5.6ph. All of them look fairly okey, raised lights to 52cm and set ppfd to 300-305. ⏰ Day 22: Away from home so the flatmate is feeding them from the premixed bucket. ⏰ Day 23: Away from home so the flatmate is feeding them from the premixed bucket. ⏰ Day 24: Away from home so the flatmate is feeding them from the premixed bucket.

12/12/24 Short Facts: Watered: 1 x 2.4L, 1 x 2.5L, 1 x 2.5L — Total: 7.4L VPD @ 1.4 Light @ 70% (~700 to 950 PPFD) Stopped watering with fertilizers, only water, CalMag and Silicia Force --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I’ve stopped watering with fertilizer because I’m planning to harvest her in the coming days. You can already see that she’s slowly dying. I hope she’ll put all her remaining energy into her flowers in these final days. I’m going to dry her, but only because there’s a new method I want to try. You can now place the harvested buds into a special plastic bag immediately after harvest. These bags are designed to let water out while preserving the terpenes almost completely intact. One of the German grow shops selling these bags tested different samples in a lab, and the results seem to support their claims. If it works, great! If not and the harvest ends up molding, I don’t mind. 98% of the harvest will already have to be trashed due to the legal limit.
