Grapefruit is developing a lot of new internode fan leaves, but she's too late into bloom now to defoliate etc. and don't want to stress the GG XL either. Latest GG XL photos are in Week 5. Microgreens are also coming up fast. 17/07: Forgot to take Day 42 photos for both girls, my apologies as my wrists have been giving me hell but will get some more up soon. I've been keeping with the same watering schedule, some bud sites are being shaded by fan leaves so I'm trying to VERY carefully bend them down to prop up the little bud sites better. I've rubbed my fingers on some of the fan leaves to get rid of whatever weird white dust is ending up on my leaves, probably just debris from the air and the fan might need a cleaning soon but holy shit my fingers smell strong like Pomegranate and fruits. It's getting quite addictive to smell the bud sites and rub that resin of her fan leaves, I wish I could describe it better but damn it smells good. If the resin is any indication of the final smoke I know that the Grapefruit is gonna be dank. Can't wait till drying + harvest time :)) 18/07: Plucked off some lower burnt leaves that were really old, snipped off two more big fan leaves shading new bud sites and removed the stumps from old leaves rather making those closely cut down stubs instead so no bug invaders can get a free home. :P Humidity has been ridiculously high today >~65% and dropping now in the evening after the rain has stopped to <~60%, I added some Sodium Bicarbonate in plastic jars around the tent to help pull out water from the air. (18/07: Seems to be helping, I'm seeing about a ~2-5% drop overnight and this morning, usually the humidity in the morning before+after rain is ~60-65%) 20/07: The paper ref regarding RH and Bicarb. of Soda: W.-Y. Kuu et al. / International Journal of Pharmaceutics 166 (1998) 167–175 / PII: S0378-5173(98)00049-0 - I don't know how or why but keeping temps at ~21-23C drops the RH down to a stable mid-low 50's range. Thank fuck now I don't have to drop tonnes of money on a huge dehumidifier... Occam's razor baby :) 21/07: Had to move the light, fan, carbon filter and literally everything. Some minor shit for the cover broke on top of the CaCl -RH% and the bicarb got knocked over. Wiped, sprayed down and cleaned out the fan filter as well. What a fucking start to the day... 31/07: GG XL is in Week 7 now, so getting well into flower, growing at an exponential rate and starting to give off a very subtle smell, Grapefruit smells quite noticeable now too. 03/08: GG XL ending week 7, getting massive. ~77-78CM now. Had to defoliate the Grapefruit since leaf miners were still assaulting her, hopefully this helps get more light and airflow into the bud sites, been having humidity issues but can't do much.

Once again these girls don’t really need much just watering when dry but other than that we are on cruise mode. I have been checking trichomes for about a week now and man is she almost there I should be giving them lights out with in another week or two can’t wait

Week 3 has been fairly good. It started off with my trusty humidifier biting the dust and finding my humidity down to around 35% 😩 So I quickly purchased a replacement, which increased my temperature to 79 degrees but also brought the humidity back up to 73-75%. The first day of higher temperature had a leaf or two get some slight wilting, but the following day they went back to normal and the explosion (explosive sound) started! I also upped the nutes on Monday, bringing my PPM up to just under 600. Gotta say it’s been pretty smooth since then as the girl has reacted positively. I literally topped this morning, although yesterday I wasn’t sure if that 5th node would come out before I posted. Overnight it granted my wish of being big enough to snip! Again, this is my first experience, so although my feelings may be good so far.. I’d love to hear back from you guys about what you see and if I need to change anything or implement any cool stuff. Speaking of cool stuff, I’ll be putting together my top hanging 2 net Scrog this weekend. So wish me BIG luck on getting it right! PS. I forgot to get pics of the roots, but they are long as crap and all white (h2o2 once a week). I’ll include them next week.

At harvest day I just cut off the stem and let them dry hanging over as complete plant and will trim them afterwards. Smell is killing me, whole house is smelling like haze. Had a lot of work to separate the roots off the soil.

Im Moment verlaufen die Tage sehr ruhig und die Blüten Reifen wirklich schön. Die Trichome sind sehr beeindruckend und die Calyxe bildet sich aus. Mikroskop kommt bald zum Einsatz um das THC Level zu ermitteln. Allen Growmies eine mega erfolgreiche und schöne Woche gewünscht! 😉 VG

June 13: cool and rainy this spring but she will grow quickly over the next few weeks with warmer temperatures and long days around the solstice. June 17: no watering with all the rain lately. Missed day on the pics but fast growth is happening. 👍 June 18: more rain so no watering in nutrients. Did a foliar spray of Extreme Blend. Good stuff and cheap so highly recommended.

Hello Growers & Tokers! Roots, roots, roots. At the beginning of the week they got transplanted into their final pot, 11L fabric. Medium used was Light Mix from BioBizz. Synergy from Grotek nutrients was blended in the medium to help out the roots. They were a bit down after transplanting but by the end of the week they were doing better. I'll leave her be for a week then I'll be topping to spread that canopy out and have loads of colas. Or at least that's the idea but two of them seem to be growing faster than the others so I might have to die those tops down. Take care out there and happy growing!

Welcome to the end of Week 7, Day 49 of the Fast Buds replenishment grow. The Lemon Pie Auto strain is turning out to be a beauty as usual with the Fast Buds genetics. The tallest two plants have topped out at 28 inches or 71 cm tall. I believe this strain grows anywhere from 70-120 cms tall so I am on the low end of what these plants can do. But the bud sites are decent and the buds themselves are putting on steady weight weekly. I have increased the fertilizer again in Week 7 to five (5) mls per gallon and they are tolerating it incredibly well. I rarely use this much fertilizer when growing autoflowers but Fast Buds strains are notoriously greedy and I love it! I can smell the plants starting to ripen and I can’t wait for this harvest- almost there…until next time. 🔜

Yoooooo! It’s somehow healthy again?! Since I’m at 63/64 tops, I’d say that this experiment was a success! I’m still debating whether to let this girl flower or not. Super fun technique. I feel like I would be comfortable doing this on a main grow and not an experimental one.
