Week 8

Since this diary started in the middle of Week 4 of flower, many of the details about how we got to that point have remained a mystery. In previous updates I mentioned how my last attempt at growing this cut resulted in a plant that outgrew my space. I had a long veg time and used a 5 gallon pot. That information allowed me to exercise caution on this grow because I knew how big this plant can get when given an opportunity. With that in mind, I only gave her 9 days after transplant from the aerocloner before moving her to the flower tent. My pervious experience dictated that this plant exhibits significant lateral branching. I top most of my plants to encourage this kind of growth, but due to the short veg time and for the sake of experimentation, I decided to not top her this time. You can see that this has resulted in a large main stem cola, but also (thanks to knowing her growth pattern) several rather large secondary colas as well. As an aside, some may look at this and wonder "yeah, but what about the yield?" I have never weighed a harvest. I grow for myself only, therefore yield is not something I concern myself with. I just don't care. I fill one quart mason jar and the rest is given away or turned into hash. My scheduling is such that I harvest approximately one plant a month; therefore I have enough smoke to last a VERY long time. While this plant will probably go 12+ weeks, with only 9 days of veg, it’s still comparable to a 10 week variety that would require a longer veg time to produce a similar yield. And, frankly, I have close to a dozen cultivars in my ‘consumable’ collection and this is the only one I reach for prior to 9 pm. She has a very clear and motivational high. Not overpowering, but I never test her ceiling, so she could get one blasted if necessary. This would also be a great plant for someone having trouble eating, because my appetite is essentially limitless when I’m smoking this. Perhaps it’s no coincidence that I have put on a few lbs since I’ve had her in my collection?

Flush time

This week was absolutely torturous had an accident in which one of my plants was damaged fortunately I do not believe that all is lost I will just have to hold her back on sending her into flour with the rest until she is completely healthy I have sent one into flower a bit early just to see if I could and seems to be working swimmingly

Day 43 - First day of week 7 today and she looks really good just not sure if she’s really starting to flower yet. I’m hoping this is just typical of the GC strain. Day 44 - No major changes, she’s growing and I’m loving the looks of her. Will continue uploading daily pictures. Day 45 - She’s looking really good and budding more and more each day. Gave her straight pH’d water today and tomorrow and will give her another feeding on Saturday. She’s drinking almost a gallon of water a day. Day 46 - Things are looking good with this girl. Bud sites are growing daily and this thing is a beauty. Gave her another feeding of just pH’d water and will “feed” her tomorrow. Day 47 - ALL is looking good and she’s looking purdy. Gave her a feeding with the foxfarm nutes today. Did a true measurement to the biggest branch and she’s at 25.5”. Will continue to measure each day to see how much she’s growing in a 24 hour period. Day 48 - Looking gorgeous and still stretching. Grew another two inches and is sitting at 27.5” right now. She’s really starting to fill in now and looking forward to the next few weeks. Day 49 - The way thing thing is growing, she’s gonna be a beast. Gave her straight pH’d water tonight and will give her a feeding tomorrow. Looks like she finally stopped stretching, sitting at 27.5” still so hopefully she’ll start putting on the weight.

We will learn per day better .

9/15 Beginning third week things look well. Getting time to make decisions on training, but not today as we have other matters to attend. 😏 BTW look at the last vid from the previous week and compare. The only change is the four hour dark period was added. Rest period, It matters 9/18 Decided to stick with bend and secure this grow, will begin in a couple days just letting them stretch out for now. 9/19 Corrected nuet list, no way I would give a plant that much big bloom :) tried the Fish Sh!t on the girls in a .25 gal feeding for each ... FS 3ml/gal - Fish Mix 5 l/gal - Big Bloom 1tbs/gal - CalMag 5 l/gal - Si 3ml/gal overnight results are explosive 9/20 Mostly all is well in the garden but I am concerned with Jen. See her pic going to list as a problem as I am out of ideas. Training begun recovered nicely feed tomorrow On Jen... I am thinking just because... separate feeding at 6.5ph, a drench to 10% runoff with 10ml/gal kangaroots and 5ml/gal bio-grow removing the Fish Mix. Thats pretty much it for my guess. Something is afoul in the nuet uptake Watson... the game is a foot! 😉

She is looking beautiful and smelling up the place, lol, she is pretty much finished will be harvesting her in the next week when am free, I'll try to not miss that Windows because I like that sticky sticky hate when you pick late and the resin turn like dry kief lol.

Weekly update on these lovely ladies. This week has been fun to watch the flowers form and swell. They definitely are starting to smell, as soon as you open the tent it hits you like a ton of bricks. I'll be doing my final dedoliation this week taking off some of the bigger fan leafs allowing more light to the lower flower sites. All in all Happy Growing

Les chiffres dépassent toutes mes espérances : ​Poids sec total : 231 grammes de têtes dures, lourdes et parfaitement maniables. Un ratio de séchage excellent par rapport aux 694g humides du cut ! ​Branches monstres : La structure de Spirit était tellement dingue qu'une seule branche pèse à elle seule 40 grammes secs, et deux autres branches secondaires ne sont vraiment pas loin derrière sur la balance. ​Contrôle de qualité : Le séchage s'est déroulé sans encombre grâce au combiné de mon ancien secteur et du test sur le DryRocket. Aucune trace de moisissure malgré la densité extrême des buds. ​👃 PROFIL AROMATIQUE & QUALITÉ DES BUDS ​Odeur / Terpènes : C'est une explosion aromatique. Ça sent très fort le citron vif et acidulé, accompagné de ce profil mythique à l'ancienne type Amnesia Haze très reconnaissable. ​Aspect & Résine : Les têtes sont denses, ultra-lourdes, bien compactes et littéralement blindées de trichomes. Sous la loupe, c'est une vraie mer de cristaux. ​Graines de sauvegarde : 3 graines ont été trouvées isolées sur la structure (pas directement enfouies dans le cœur des buds, donc la récolte reste impeccable). Elles sont précieusement gardées en réserve pour une prochaine session en espérant retrouver ce phénotype d'alien. ​💬 MON MOT DE LA FIN & REMERCIEMENTS ​Pour une simple autofloraison, sortir 231 grammes secs sur une seule plante sous tente avec des têtes de cette qualité, c'est une performance complètement hallucinante pour moi. Spirit aura repoussé toutes les limites du début à la fin. ​Un grand merci à Growers Choice pour nous avoir pondu cette magnifique génétique Alien, stable, ultra-vigoureuse et monstrueusement généreuse. It’s growing really well and she is tall enough for her 6/7L pot,I give her half of royal queen organic nutrients and the plant next day was happier than ever,I think she will be tall and fat NOTE:I’m not using all of them,some times I’m using half dose biobizz and half from royal queen,some times only biobizz..

Day 57- doing well 2500ml heavy pre-flowering blend Day 58 - Great! 5000ml - Flush with Plain water, getting ready for the Late Flower blend tomorrow Uploaded a video Day 59 3000ml Late Flower Blend - amazing foliar helath and bud development! We will have a great yield Day 60 1500 plain water, then later in the day 1500ml Late Flower Blend, flowering is going very well, light at 100% Day 61 1500ml Late Flower Blend, will folllow by 1500ml plain water Day 62 1500ml Late Flower Blend, will folllow by 1500ml plain water These are going to be super powerful buds! Day 63 1500ml Late Flower Blend, will folllow by 1500ml plain water - growing very well!

Day 9 above soil: The Dreamgirls have been slow and steady this week but at least steady.lol They are the smallest of the strains in general size and there is a noticeable difference. They are not concerning me at all just a lot smaller at this stage. All the factors are identical within the crop so I am sure they will take off soon enough. They had a small feed today too so hopefully will start fattening out

Going into week 9. Weirdo stopped dying back and pumped out another set of bracts. I guess she has time, maybe this week. I just dont know anymore.. Plant 2 has atleast another week, stacking buds well. Increase in mass is apparent now as the buds sway in the wind. Something must have happened for weirdo to die back like that. Not quite sure at this point as I haven't changed anything in a few weeks. Maybe a little pk boost. Looks like the symptoms I had when the plants suffered a drought but my system has been operational the entire time, as far as I know. I'll update if weirdo gets the axe this week, but I'd rather pull them together if I can.

Doing great. Bottoms cleaned, waiting for a day or two to do a major defoliation. 17.11 Vast defoliation. All the bottom leaves and mids. Left around 4 top fan leaves On every branch. 19.11 Plants recovered perfectly, light is back to 100% . Unfortunately my Bluetooth app for mars hydro stopped working. Light cannot pair anymore with the app. Also irrigation is changed to vegetative crop steering.
