🌸 Week 6 Flower – Gelonade Diaries The Gelonade girls continue their elegant dance into flower, both Pheno #1 and Pheno #2 shining in their own unique way. Their structures remain remarkably similar, tall, strong, and full of energy, while each holds onto her own personality, expressed in leaf form and flower shape. This week we noticed a few small spots on the leaves. Nothing dramatic, nothing to sound alarms about, but enough to remind us that plants, like people, sometimes whisper when they need something. It could be calcium, it could be another minor imbalance, but the key is observation. We’ll keep a close eye, watching for patterns, listening to what the girls want to tell us, and adjusting gently if needed. 🌱 Quick Recap (For Those Just Joining) From the start, this run has been about detail and care. • Germination was clean and quick, the girls leaping from seed into life. • Veg was marked by strong branching, healthy leaves, and the unforgettable funky unicorn foliage of Pheno #2. • Transplanting into super soil and fabric pots gave them the room to spread their roots and breathe. • The shift into flower was smooth, guided by careful lighting, steady feeding, and a balance of Aptus and Plagron nutrients. • Weeks 4 and 5 saw sativa-like stretch, white hairs bursting across every cola, and canopy lights filling every corner with photons. Flowers are swelling, resin begins to sparkle in early traces, and aromas start to hint at what’s to come. What to expect: denser buds, richer pistil coloration, and a canopy that will soon demand defoliation for airflow. What not to expect: miracles overnight. This is the stage of patience, where the magic brews quietly within each calyx. 💚 Closing Thought The Gelonades remind us that growth is rarely flawless. PS: Understanding Foxtailing One of the girls, our Pheno #2, is starting to show signs of foxtailing. For those new to the term, foxtailing refers to when buds grow in elongated, irregular patterns instead of stacking neatly into the dense, conical shape we often expect. The result is a flower that looks “spiky” or “funky,” almost as though the plant is growing multiple little towers from a single cola. Why does this happen? There are two main sides to the story: • Genetic Foxtailing: Some strains naturally express this trait, especially sativa-leaning hybrids. In this case, foxtailing is simply part of the plant’s personality, often leading to extra surface area for resin glands, which can even mean more trichomes and aromas. • Environmental Foxtailing: Stress factors can also trigger it — high heat, intense light (too much PPFD), or shifts in feeding can encourage buds to keep stacking in odd ways rather than finishing their round formation. In our case, the temperatures have sometimes pushed higher than ideal, and the lights are running strong, so those factors might play a role. But genetics also carry a heavy influence, and Gelonade — being sativa-leaning, can naturally lean toward these elongated flower expressions. Is foxtailing a problem? Not at all. While it can look unusual compared to the “textbook” cola shape, it doesn’t reduce quality. In fact, it can increase flower mass and surface resin coverage, giving us more material and potentially more complex aesthetics. Some growers even treasure it as a unique expression of their plant’s individuality. So while Pheno #2 may look a little funky, we see it as a gift, more fruit, more character, more story to tell. Hi! I switched the light schedule to 12/12 and did a heavy defoliation on both plants. They were really bushy and filled with fan leaves, I was bending and adjusting the bigger leaves daily, to leave space for the bud sites to get more light, but now they can really see the light. I didn’t amend the soil with more nutrients, as I said on the last weeks report. The humidity and temperature are pretty stable, I just watered with 4ml of compositing juice on 1L of water to try to eliminate the dry spots on the pot. On September 18 (21 days from the 12/12 start) I’ll do a final major defoliation. I’m hoping that they stretch a lot on the following weeks, I have plenty of space for vertical growth. That’s it for now, let the pistils begin!

Hi everyone :-) This week a lot of nice things happened in the flower tent :-) Everyone looks super nice, and is growing stronger and more beautiful week by week 😍👌. The blue cheese smells like a dream ;-) As usual from this variety 👍. The kosher tangie is also very, very tasty 👏🏻. Both got Pk 13/14 this week for the last time :-) Everyone else is developing very well 👍, That will be the last diary with several strains together :-) In future everyone will come individually 👌. Week 8 done, going pretty well I’m happy. 1 of the Runtz has got huge colas already and quite frosty. The other 2 Runtz - much smaller buds 1 quite frosty / smelly the other hardly at all. Both the Fastbuds although much smaller than the Zamnesias are way way frostier. And so undecided what I’ll run next time. Will see how these zamnesia genetics smoke before I decide. Issues have been these fecking fungus gnats that I can’t quite get rid off. Seriously winding me up prick little things. And maybe mistiming my final top dress for some of the girls as 1 or 2 are looking a little hungry with c3weeks to go. Also about to run out weed so will probably have to chop one of these earlier than I’d like. Still next grow starts in 3 weeks when I’ve moved into the house I bought with the money growing has saved me. Will have a 2 tent setup plus a bitching new led… Lean times soon to be thing of the past..! So all good. Thanks for reading have a great week 😊

Beginning of flowering phase and they already stretched 7 cm in 3 days only. The topped one reached 38 cm and the LST only is 42 cm . The smell is strating to come out , smell quite nice. Not intense yet. Fertilizers Top Vulcan 1 table spoon each. No more repetition Plagron alga bloom 4 ml & power bud 1 ml power roots 1 ml , alga grow 4 ml and vita race 4 ml. I Will repeat the same every 4 days for the for 1st two weeks of flowering . As you can see I am growing other strains but the lemon orange stand out for now. They are larger, busher and smell amazing 😍

This week, such a decision could no longer be delayed. Plant #5 — The Red One — has departed the garden. She is eliminated. For many weeks, it remained the strangest of the chosen. Its curious mutations, pale foliage, and impossible floral formations made it a source of endless fascination. It never resembled its sisters truly. Following the great heat wave, something within the organism changed. Its thirst vanished. While the others continued to draw deeply from the soil each day, Plant #5 scarcely drank at all. The once-promising aroma faded into silence, leaving behind only a faint memory of the sweet diesel whispers that had once filled the chamber. Even the resin told its own story. Compared to its companions, the trichomes lagged behind, as though time itself had slowed within its flowers. The final transformation never truly began. The garden had spoken. The decision was not made in disappointment, but in understanding. As the remaining giants expanded, the chamber demanded more air, more space, and greater circulation to protect the swelling flowers from the unseen dangers that thrive in stagnant warmth. Every branch mattered. Every current of moving air became sacred. There was no longer room for hesitation. So The Red One was returned to the darkness. Now only two remain. Plant #1 — The Fat One — continues to swell with astonishing determination, its colossal colas growing denser by the day beneath a shimmering coat of resin. The fragrance has become richer still, an intoxicating union of ripe fruit, pungent gas, and strange chemical notes that linger long after the chamber is closed. Beside it stands Plant #2 — The Battered One — unwavering and formidable. Towering over the garden with its dense architecture and unmistakable diesel perfume, it has become a monument to resilience, its flowers stacking relentlessly as the harvest draws near. The chamber feels different now. Quieter. More focused. The remaining two have inherited the space once occupied by their fallen companion, allowing fresh currents of air to move freely through the canopy. Light reaches deeper. The flowers breathe more easily.

Alright, so she had a rather traumatic week. The pics won't show it, but here's what happened. I was supercropping her at the beginning of last week and all but snapped one of her lower branches, off. I taped it up and prayed... full recovery as of this post! The branch was wilting all week and all of a sudden the break point knuckled up and she began carrying on with bud development. She's been drinking nutes like a fuckin' fish. I've been watching the tips for burn, but it seems to be my nutrient regiment is right on the money. No burnt tips, just happy plant. Cheers all! 🍻 5-6 weeks until the chop! Ya gotta give Ethos a chance. Stellar run, EVERY time.

Week 8 Day 5 Hello GD Fam 🖐️🏻 Plants are looking SWELL They have packed on a lot of weight and some pistils are turning but there is still a lot of new white pistils. Trichs are still pretty clear too. Was going to use Dragon Force in week 9 and flush with plain water for week 10 but now I'm wondering whether to push an extra week through them, what do you think GD community? How do you all predict when to prepare for flush? I find it difficult, it's easy enough to spot a plant that's ready based on trichs and pistils etc but how do you predict it 2 weeks early to know when to start using your final additives followed by just water in the final week? I know dragon force and similar products push the plant to do so but if I can get more weeks out of a plant then I shouldn't I do so for a benefit to yield? I seriously flushed her a couple of days ago to dissolve any trace of fertilizer left in her and in the soil. To make her ready !!!

Hello Folks 😎 7th week of flowering,I'm really amazed by these girls ! They are very productive, the smell is powerful, and look at the size of these colas ! 💪 They drink 4/5 liters every 5/6 days, for the last watering with fertilizer, I reduced the dose about 650 ppm my plan is to start the flush from day 50 until day 65 and from there, I'll see if I have to push a few more days while checking the color of the trichomes I think I'm going to enjoy this strain, already like the smell a lot 😻 Follow, like and comment if you enjoy it I also have a second diary with 2 Remo Chemo Peace Love & Weed 😍👊

Day 200 18/11/24 Monday It's her last day today of light, no more watering. She will then enter 48 HR dark period. Her trichomes have reached a nice amount of amber's, and flooded with cloudy trichomes... The end is so close 🤤😋😂 The smell is intoxicating, sweet pungent guava fruity smell. It's amazing. Seeing her colours fade out on the fans is like watching a sunset. Deep oranges radiating against her red veins, with purple and violet tipped buds, engulfed in trichomes and orange pistils, but she holds a deep dark green underneath in the core of the buds. She is a menace to look at 😈💞 It's been fun to grow this, and I won't lie, trouble free. Easy with nites she took what I gave, next time around I'll be lollipoping a shit load more to encourage them fatter tops 💪💚 Sorry for the shit quality video this week so far, soon as she enters her dark period I'll get some nice flash pics and video tomorrow and upload 🙌💚 Day 201 19/11/24 Tuesday She entered her dark period at 5am this morning. She is still relatively moist so the next 48 hours should be fine to dry off in the dark too. Noticed a couple more mildew spots on leaves, removed these now. Don't want it wasted in the last 2 days 🤦‍♂️😅💚 Next update will be the chop on Thursday. Updated pictures 📸💚 Day 203 21/11/24 Thursday Its finally time 🙌!! She has had 48 hrs of dark and more mildew started to set in so thank goodness I chopped her today!! Have not had time to weigh her yet, but wet trim, and deeper wet trim of sugar leaves affected with mildew have been removed. She is now hanging in tent to dry, with heat mat, and extraction on low. Humidity is 66% and 18'c. Her colours have deepened and her aroma is potent!! Strong sweet floral smell , similar to the perfume 😍 Uploaded pics and a short vid of before the chop. It seems like she needed to be closer to the light so I moved her a closer. She is growing very tall and fast. I water her once every two days or when I see the soil is dry. :)
