Made some defolation, also got rid of some lower buds

Finally got a ppm / EC pen , my 50/50 mix of well water and RO water read 174ppm so not bad what i was doing. I will adjust a bit lower tho. Around 150 or a bit lower. Flowering development seems good. Bubba kush plants are just under 7 feet tall about 80 " noticed a tiny green worm may b a catipillar. Might use a catipillar bacteria spray. Altho everything looks good.

Très belle plante je l’adore .le bois de santal est une plante tropical . à cause de ma région Je n’ai pas de souvenir de cette odeur très agréable et qui me fait encore plus l’apprécier . Elle est vraiment pas difficile à gérer .

18/08/25: Last update before harvest, just about a week to go! Both plants are nearly ready and the differences between them are really starting to shine. One has taken on a stunning red hue over the past days, while the other has faded almost completely, signaling that it’s in its final stage! 😍 The aroma in the garden is intense now. The reddish, Indica-leaning pheno is absolutely dripping with resin and carries a distinct spicy, earthy scent. In contrast, the second plant has focused heavily on bud growth, with a massive main cola and a sweeter, more tropical fragrance. The bud-to-leaf ratio isn’t ideal, but I think that is to be expected when running autos outdoors at 52° latitude, where the climate can be a bit cool and unpredictable. Still, I could not be happier with how they’ve turned out! This being my first time growing autos, it’s been a really rewarding experience. 😁 Also so far I didn't encounter any pests/mold, no issues at all...fingers crossed it stays that way for this last crucial week before the chop! 🤞🏼☀️

The mold thing is really sad. We had a super wet and humid summer so I added a fan to my setup. (12/18-12/24) Days 15 to 21 Hope everyone enjoys the pictures. I will try to add a video and black back or cover pics by end of week every week. Week 1 Notes & Observations: Plant 1 and 2 have been showing nice steady growth. Both seem to have similar phenos so far, so Im looking forward to a nice straightforward grow and training with minimal variants. They will be kept in these containers until week 4+ 12/24 - fed both plants 4 cups purified water. I added 100ppm of veg mix concentrate (recipe above) added .25ml of CaliMagic (General Hydroponics 1-0-0). PH balanced water to of 6.55ph. I got about 2 cups of runoff from each plant and it was 6.25ph. I will be topping next week. I also topped the first set down to the 3rd node on each plant.

8/10 - In prep for flower I've got some Compost Tea brewing with a little Terp Tea Bloom by Roots Organics. .Also did a little selective defoliation 8/11 - Flipped the ladies to flower today! And all is good in the 8x4. 8/12 - Watered all the ladies with the Compost/Terp Tea. Also did some more defoliation and added some mosquito bits for added pest prevention.

I veg them for 10 weeks. The two on each end are Blue Dream, the back left is Purple Urkle, the back right is Grandaddy Purple, and the one up from in the middle is Wifi OG.

The fungus gnats are getting a little better. To bad they already did a lot of damage. Plants 3 and 4 have now caught up in height with plants 1 and 2 which are a month older. The buds and plants 3 and 4 are way bigger too. Flowers are starting!!! Loving it!! Defoliated at the end of the week.

Week 6 of flowering 10/23/24 Changed nutrients to fit week 6 Buds are getting even bigger and thicker. Defoliated a little. Noticed a PH of 4.8 in runoff, same as the late stage of flower in my previous grow. After lowering feed EC, CalMag on max strength, flushing with 0.8ec nutes for 3 days in a row, nothing changed and PH stayed the same. Read in a forum thread about constant low PH in the rootzone when growing in coco. Got great info about CEC, water, nutrients and little chemistry from a detailed explanation. (https://www.icmag.com/threads/recurring-problem-with-low-ph-in-coco.338385/page-2#post-10843765) Flushed plants with tap water + calmag, PH 6.5. Used 120L total for 4 plants in 2 days. 1st day: flushed after lights on, did not water until 2 hours before lights off and flushed again. Runoff PH went up a little, but not to the correct range. 2nd day: flushed after lights on and checked runoff EC + PH, of each plant. Fortunately, PH got corrected to 5.8, and I returned to automatic watering 4 times a day (with 10%-20% runoff). Thoughts: In the last grow, I thought I had a problem because of salts buildup in the media with constantly low PH in late flower. I didn't fully correct the problem till chop day. Same problem here in the same stage of flower without the salt buildup. After reading every forum I could find about the problem, I understood that my bloom nutes were the main problem because of their chemical composition. The coco ability to exchange ions lead to the low PH in the rootzone. It got worse quickly because I did not use any tap water with the feedings, so the PH could swing easily and drastically without resistance. After I looked online for the T.A. feeding chart, I saw they used TriPart Grow till week 7 of flower, the Nitrogen type they are using will up the PH. CocoForCannabis chart that I'm using, has not enough nitrogen to combat the bloom nutes PH down effect in flower. It gets even worse with RO water because there are no minerals that can resist PH down. Now I'm using 30% tap water with rest RO water, T.A. TriPart feeding chart with calmag and silica. Hopefully I have corrected the problem for the rest of the grow. It wasn't easy, because there were lots of variables that worsened the problem quickly. Now I'm checking runoff PH and EC daily. Update on next week :)

The week went again pretty uneventful, other than me not getting the tip burn under control. I have further reduced base nutrients, removed the green sensation (simply because I ran out ;)) and increased pk 13/14 further. The buds continue to develop new pistils and continue to swell. The trichomes look mostly milky at this stage, I will however wait until I have around 20%-25% amber. I have cut a bud from the lower canopy (pictures attached), which is quite solid to touch and had a wet weight of roughly 1,2 gr and is currently drying. Overall the bud structure on this plant looks amazing the buds a re super dense, nicely clustered around the stems and she looks like she'll be a joy to trim.

I started brewing a batch of Compost Tea today which should be ready in 24-36 hours, after which I'll give the GG4 Sherbet FF a treat! 5/18- Yesterday, I gave the GG4 Sherbet a healthy drink of the freshly brewed Compost Tea which will benefit the microbes in her soil greatly! My Compost Tea recipe is as follows: In a doubled up mesh bag I put in 2 cups of wiggle worm castings, 1 cup of Alfalfa Meal, 1/2 cup of Dr. Earth 4-4-4 dry amendment w/beneficial mycorrhizae, 1 tbsp. Stash Blend, 1 tbsp. Plantonics Amino Bliss. Then in a 5g bucket filled with 68-74℉ non-chlorinated well water (which I do not adjust ph on, if it's good enough for me to drink... it's good enough for my plants) I add 4 tbsp. of unsulfured black strap molasses and 4 tbsp. of liquid Kelp Extract. I then aerate the water via a pump and large round air stone and hang the mesh bag so that it stays suspended above the bottom of the bucket and so the air bubbles can surround it. I then cover the bucket and leave it alone for 24-36 hrs after which there should be a generous layer of foam in the bucket which indicates that your tea is ready to serve! 5/20- I'm almost certain that slugs are the culprits of all of the leaf chewing that has occurred on the GG4 Sherbet FF. I only wish I had figured it out sooner but, on the bright side, this is a photoperiod and she has plenty of time to recover so she'll be just fine. Yesterday, once I figured out that I was facing a slug attack, I immediately deployed my favorite defense against slugs and other little soft bodied buggers and their larvae... Diatomaceous Earth. This stuff is death to fungus gnat larvae, along with other pest larvae and will ruin a slugs day quickly! If you look at diatomaceous earth under magnification, it resembles shards of glass and acts as the same on the soft bodies of pests either repelling, or killing them! 5/22- Our weather has dried out and warmed up so I'm watering daily with well water straight from the garden hose. With seven weeks of growth now for the GG4 Sherbet Fast Flower, she just keeps looking better by the day and in a month you won't recognize her! These ladies have grown amazing this past week. I took of a few of the bigger fan leafs of but other then that just feed this week. The flower sites are starting to form. Definitely starting to smell stronger. All in all Happy Growing.
