This week I found fungus gnats I added sticky boards and mosquito bits. A small amount of fading on oldest leaves. I did a small defoliation of the yellow fan leaves. I added bone meal to the top layer of soil and worked it in. Water at 6.5.

Start of Week 9 - Day 57 06/28: The ladies are looking amazing! Aaliyah and Alexis have a lot of buds coming up. Annie is starting her stretch, so I’ve been moving around some of the leaves that are blocking the light to the cola branches. As of now she’s standing at 20” from the top of the coco. Alexis is now at 27” and Aaliyah has reached a height of 30” from the top of the coco. That height definitely caught me off guard! Still keeping waterings at every day and a half and EC and pH levels in runoff are good. A few of the lower leaves on the plants have yellowed and withered up, but I think it’s just the plants themselves getting rid of leaves that aren’t getting light. Overall the ladies are looking great! Can’t wait to see how much progress they make this week. 06/30: Checked in the gals and by my surprise they have all grown two inches. Aaliyah is now 32” tall and has pretty much grown into the light. Luckily I went with the LEDs so there’s not much heat. Hand up to the light is still cooler than the sun on some days. Her buds have started forming and are now covered with pistils. Annie is still creeping her way into flowering and is now at 22”. Hopefully she doesn’t get as tall as Aaliyah. Alexis is now at 29”. I have to admit, I was worried Alexis wasn’t going to do well. She didn’t look as healthy as the other two when she was a seedling. But that has changed. She looks extremely healthy and although she is in a 3-gallon pot and isn’t as big as Aaliyah, she still has a lot of buds sites coming up. I’m glad she made it. More for the yield. 07/02: Watered the ladies. EC levels in runoff are good. pH in Aaliyah’s runoff is a little low, so I’m going to keep an eye on her. She’s now at 34” tall, but I tied her down. It was either this, or no light. Hopefully she takes it okay. Her buds are really starting to grow. Annie is now at 24”. She is currently on her stretch. Hopefully she doesn’t get as tall as Aaliyah. Alexis is at 32” and looking great. As of now I’ve seen no pests inside the tent, or on the trap I put up. But I did see a few flies while watering that looked more like fruit flies than fungus gnats. Hopefully they are and the pest problem is solved. 07/04: The ladies keep growing! Aaliyah is now at 33” because of the new bending, Alexis is at 34” (I just bent her main cola down), and Annie is at 25 1/2”. With Alexis at 34” she has also passed my light. Since Aaliyah seems to be doing okay with the bending, I decided to bend Alexis down as well. Annie is going into her stretch. Found a dead fly in tray and a live one on the trap. I guess my problems continue. I gave the ladies a good amount of water (4500mL for Annie!) and am going to leave the next watering for two days now. Hopefully this can help. Hey everyone 👋 Back again for a week 2 update. Still not much to report really. The clones all seem to be rooting nicely. A few are yellowing on the leaves. But that's to be expected with very little nutes given to them. (very very small amount to avoid stress or nute burn) Other than the few yellow leaves they are all still very perky looking so that's a definite positive. All in all things are looking on track 👌🏻 If any pros ever see me doing dumb shit with my grow feel free to point it out and give any advice. Any feedback is great. Always room to learn right!? Oh, and the music over the vid is me. I was bored last week and recorded for the first time in yrs. Figured my vids could use some original music over them 😂. Thank you to everyone for following this journey! The results were nuts. Honestly, I would've been happy with 40g dry as this is my first grow. I DEFINITELY did not expect this outcome which is insane. This gives me so much confidence in my future grows and appreciation for the companies whose products I used. So, now to the point - Dry weight - Top class buds - 176g, smaller buds - 32g, larf/leaves/scissor hash - 26g. To sum up - 208g of product you can smoke and 26g that'll go to edibles. First grow, 2x2 tent, 100w light, three-part fertilizer and cal mag - that's insane, especially because I was expecting nothing more than 60g and like I mentioned, I would've been happy with 40g. I even thought my scale was broken or something went wrong, I still can't believe I pulled 208g of bud. It took 117 days from seed to smoke - that's disregarding the cure. Seed to flower in 42 days. Flower to harvest in 61 days. 14 days drying. Thank you to FastBuds, I've sent them an email about the grow with some questions and got a speedy reply with some pointers towards the end of the flower. Also, I don't have anything to compare this grow with but I had 0 issues with pests which I was really happy about. I didn't have to spray anything on the plants, didn't have a single bug inside the tent. They mention on the website that NL is a very resilient strain so that might've been because of this specific strain. Spiderfarmer light did amazing too - 208g of bud from 100w light!. General Hydroponics did way better than I expected - there's so many companies with multiple bottles of nutrients that expect you to spend ridiculous amounts of money on their products while I got crazy results with just 3 basic bottles. Cal and Mag by Canna worked with no complaints. Takeaways - seems like the runoff pH doesn't matter in coco - I could be wrong but I struggled with coco pH from the very beginning. Regardless, the outcome speaks for itself. Maybe the harvest would've been even better with an optimal pH but in this particular grow, I don't think it mattered much. Before starting this grow I've done A LOT of research and it looks like it most definitely paid off! I was panicking at first because of the slow growth. The plant also had some leaf deformities and the color wasn't as green as I've expected it to be. It was stressful at first, I think especially because I was constantly comparing my grow to someone else's. This specific LST method where I kept rotating the main stem clockwise every day or two paid off as well. The canopy was relatively even and new tops grew crazy fast. The only thing left to do is to cure the bud. I had two 1.5L containers ready for cure/storing since I didn't expect to pull much but had to go acquire a few more "big boys" to fit all the product in, which is a good problem to have. I don't think that I'll be updating the cure here but the plan is to burp 2x/day for 15-30min each time for the first week and 1x/day for 15-30min the second week. After the first couple of weeks I won't be timing the burps. As of now, I've placed boveda 62% packs inside the containers to maintain a RH of at least 58% in the jars. About the Northern Lights strain - the smell hasn't fully returned yet post trim, but it smells like sweet fruits with a hint of black pepper. You can still smell a bit of pine/grass but I think that'll be gone after the cure. Buds are covered with trichomes, they shine like diamonds when you take a better look. Also, the buds look a little airy but are still really dense when pressed. The smoke - It's a tasty, relaxing high. I get why people describe it as night time smoke but for me personally, it grounds me a bit and I can enjoy it anytime. Also, it burns white ash :)) P.S. This is a lengthy diary but I hope that people can learn some stuff from my notes shall they read them! Thanks to everyone that followed the journey, showed support or just browsed through. Week 18: Oasis Project Update Everything is moving along steadily with the Durban Poison quartet. The canopy management continues to be a priority, and the plants are responding well to the trellis setup, staying lush and vibrant as they continue their vegetative growth. The deck infrastructure is fully optimized. The sprinkler manifold and timer are installed and have been put through a successful test run, ensuring the garden remains consistently hydrated. Along with the photoperiods, the new relay batch of autoflowers, the marigolds, and the strawberry "security team" are all thriving under the current care routine. The garden is looking strong, and I feel confident about the current setup for the coming days.

Been a good week, haven’t done too much apart from try and dial in the lights and watering. I think I have the lights perfect as the leaves are flat instead of dropping down, but then again not sure so any comments are welcome 🙏 thanks guys I’ll see you next week… or next time I have a question 😃

I got a Mimosa to save! It is about 2 months old and is growing in soil and has only been illuminated in 18/6. It has problems as you can see I will try to get it under control in the next few weeks. Until then there will be a weekly update

Y Griega and Gelato Ice Cream are approximately 2 weeks ahead of the rest of the plants in flowering. Adding 1 teaspoon of Blackstrap Molasses every watering and fertilizer every other watering.

~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_ 8/28/21 😺 We decided to flower these a little earlier than we originally intended to make room for some new strains...I will never mainline a plant this wide again indoors lol, it seemed cool at the time but as you can see it just takes up more space 😑 👎🏻 ...we gave them their first shot of bloom nutrients yesterday (we typically do this 1 week before flower but things came up and we learned we'll need the tent available)...the calcium def spots seemed to have cleared up naturally on the mainline, the other plants are fairly uniform in color (not too dark anymore), and lower growth has been removed...all systems go for flower! 💪😺, I'm hoping for a significant flowering stretch, the new growth after the last mainline topping is approx. 6inches, if this stretches to 12-14inches it should build 8 really good sized colas per side.. thanks for reading!
