Steady growth this week :) Noticed a funky split branch that looks kinda like it topped itself, though that was pretty cool! Been trying to keep the lower part of the plant clean but since I have space I'm not being too brutal with chopping lower bud sites. The HPS gives good penetration and I'm keen to see if I can maximise the yields - not sure this craziness is the best way to achieve that but gosh darnit I'm gonna do my best

Put the seeds into the soil about 1cm deep, mist sprayed. I've put them on a window sill as it's predicted frost tomorrow and the day after 😳 in the middle of May! Transferred outside to the pollytunnel after 48hrs on a windowsill. Watered with rainwater.

With the new netting up, I switched on the red lights along with the blues to help the plants stretch a bit to reach through the screen. It looks like it is taking effect, so late in the week (Friday) I trimmed some of the lower branches. Last week I FIMmed Zoe and Grace to give River a chance to catch up, and I expected 1 of 2 results: 1) FiMming will encourage growth in the cut plants causing them to grow taler than River, or 2) Things will stabilize and River will be on par with her siblings. But instead, I discovered a 3rd result: River is continuing to grow bigger and thicker each day and is even taller and fuller than her sisters. In addition though, the trimmed plants are developing nice, strong, sizable leaves, and most of the new growth is coming from down below, rather than near the top. Oh, and this week I added a new camera (Wyze) to the time lapses so I can take my pro camera out.

It was a week with a lot of activity. First of all, she had her first full week of flowering and did a bit of a stretch. Also I switched her to the left side of the tent, to space the plants more evenly. We are getting to a canopy, although one of her roommates probably is male and will be removed. More about this when I update my Xtrakushh Diary. Also had time to fit the scrognet. It fits way better than last grow, much tighter. We had some problems with the lighting. I probably hit my timer with one of my sausage fingers, making my lights turn on in the middle of the night, thank god I found it out in time. They maybe had an hour or two of light for one night. Still something she really doesn't need with this strains tendency to hermie under stress. She still looks happy. Did some gentle leaf tucking, some LST under the net, and a little defoliation. The branches might be short but they are very sturdy and should be able to carry large and heavy buds. And we had won the @Sweet_Seeds Halloween give-away and got to choose three of their legendary strains: Tropicanna Poison, Red Hot Cookies and Runtz XXL auto!! Thanks guys!!! Hello everyone! Things are growing great! The scent is becoming more like weed and less like trash. Every time I check in on her she seems to have grown. Since I harvested my other girl last night, my six shooter has the whole tent to herself. Thats 3 fans, 2 × galaxy hydro 300 w leds, and an increase in airflow and drop in humidity. One week from today she will be much bigger. I have been feeding her every other watering. Got some nute burn but she seems to like the heavy feeds. I may go water,water, and then feed until harvest . I'm guessing between 2-4 weeks left. I can't wait to grow this strain again!

D71. Week five of flower and the girls are simply doing their thing. I scouted the plants today and found thrips on the second girl. I was hoping the lacewings would have gotten them all by now, but no such luck. I'll give them a week before ordering another batch. For some reason, the thrips avoid the first girl. Visually, there's also a clear difference between the two girls, with the first girl being darker and having more buds. ------------------------------ D73. I brewed a short (6 hours) compost tea today consisting of worm castings, kelp meal, neem meal, humic and fulvic acid, rock dust, biochar, and molasses. After the brew, I added homemade Bokashi juice, which lowered the pH of the tea to 6.6. Each girl got 2.5 liters of tea (5% of pot volume.) I also did another light round of defoliation, down low on the plants. ------------------------------ D75. Each girl got 2.5 liters of water @ pH 6.5, with 5 ml of FFJ. The plants stretched SO MUCH after flipping them into flower that it's challenging for the light to penetrate the canopy, and it's pretty dark further down. I bought some LED grow light strips and installed them in the tent to provide additional side lighting. It's only 36 W of extra lighting, but I hope it will help to develop the numerous buds down low. I put the lights on the left side of the tent, around the first girl, since she has a lot more buds, but now that it looks like the concept works, I might get another set of lights for the right side of the tent. ------------------------------ D77. We've reached the end of the fifth week of flower, and all is well in the tent. Ahem, almost all since I still have the thrips to contend with, BUT I just put a bunch of Cucumeris predatory mites in the tent, so the war rages on. A friend suggested adding white cloth below the plants to reflect more light toward the lower buds. Sounds plausible, but I didn't have any fabric, so I went all ghetto by simply putting strips of kitchen paper on top of the scrog net. Not the most fantastic reflector material ever, but it's what I had at hand. Plus, it's easy to work with and costs next to nothing. I doubt it will make a big difference, but even a slight increase is still an increase, and I could see a visible difference in the amount of light hitting the lower canopy. Finally, each plant got 2.5 liters of water @ pH 6.3, with FFJ and Bokashi Juice. ------------------------------

Flushing using 10L of water with Flawless finish- I'll be using this every other flush. , getting 50% run off, I can't measure ppm, I have ordered the tool to start learning this way also. I haven't measured run off ppms before so will be interesting to see. Smelling pungent, deep greens of colour coming through, hoping over the next 2 weeks she swells as she is not as dense as I was hoping 😅 Day 10day 58 Flower 07/07/24 Sunday No feed /water today letting her dry off a little more. Updated with a short 🤩💚 Day 102 Day 59 Flower 08/07/24 Monday De-chlorinated tap Water 5L pH 6.0 + 3L Water +calmag 5ml to keep her from deficiency during 1st week of flush. Updated a short video 😁 She's getting there. Day 103 Day 60 Flower 09/07/24 Tuesday No water, letting her dry off again ABIT, noticing a huge amount of trichome production, updated a short to see 😍. Today i decided to heavily defoliate the plants. I also found a old feeding schedule from Green House with PH values, and it recommends that i should give an PH of 5.7 on coco. I thought PH 6 was good, but i was wrong, maybe this in combination with the plants being too wet, is the reason for the weird growing leaves, and the problems they show. I cleaned the reservoir and made sure there is no old water in the lines. I made a full strength 10L feed, and added it to the reservoir. I turned the reservoir on for around 3 mins, just to the point that the AutoPot trays are full of water and the valves are shutting them off, then i turn the reservoir off. I will do this every other day, so 1 time in 2 days. 7-4 Temperature: 25.7 degrees (lights on) 22.1 degrees (lights off) Humidity: 64% (highest) 50% (lowest) 8-4 Temperature: 26.4 degrees (lights on) 22.4 degrees (lights off) Humidity: 64% (highest) 55% (lowest) Today i turned on the reservoir for 3 minutes again, just till the trays are full of water. 9-4 Temperature: 25.9 degrees (lights on) 21.2 degrees (lights off) Humidity: 60% (highest) 51% (lowest) No pictures.

This is the 8th week. Thursday will be 9 weeks of 12/12. Some trichs are amber. They just added a good bunch of girth over the past few days, but most of the pistils are red now. The rest of them have been dropping leaves consistenly but the canopy remains full so they must be putting out more leaves. I just flushed to 80% runoff and found out that I had 1200ppm. I just got an ec meter but my last reading said closer to 600 so idk what happened there. I flushed until I had runoff ppm of about 150. Now they're back in the grow tent. I don't want to keep assaulting them with my microscope. I think they're ready. Just gonna let them settle another day or two to dry out a bit. I took one small branch off the small Wedding Cake plant on Thursday and I've just been watching it dry on my counter. It's been 5 days and the stem snaps but still leaves a fiber connecting. I put it into a small jar with a 64RH thing. I just want to try it. It already smells amazing. The leaves on the big CBD Blue Shark plant are going really yellow and some other colours are starting to come out as well. The buds all fattened up and got more frosty again. I was worried they were foxtailing but they got more calyxes underneath the peaks and have been making more of a pyramid shape. They're really close to peak. Harvest day will be March 17 or 18. March 17 1023pm chopped and hung after lights off all day. RH was 65% before I chopped and 50% after I closed the window and cut the plants off the saturated pots. I did a wet trim to prevent mold. The buds are sticky af. Gonna hang them to dry for 7-9 days before curing in jars :) March 18 : checked the RH when I woke up and it's chilling at 45% 😎 March 19 : just checked to see how they were drying. There are seeds in every plant. RIP I'll update when I put them in jars and again a few weeks later for final review. Overall it was a good grow despite the rocky start and a good introduction to the mainline technique and my new grow space. Next grow I should have everything pretty well dialed in. March 23 They were hanging for 3 days. Rh was around 45, then spiked to 65 overnight when I forgot to turn the fans back on. Temp was high at around 26.they felt wet after 2 days, and bone dry after 4 days. The stems still didn't snap but I put them in jars anyway. A day later, jar RH was 50%. I burped all the jars and there was a smell from the new jars. I took all the weed out, washed out the jars, and did a dry trim on the weed. One of the Wedding Cake plants must have gone hermie. I didn't see any bananas and didn't even realize there were seeds until the very end. The seed pods looked just like calyxes while the plants were growing. Many of the nugs are unusable. Under the sugar leaves are just layers and layers of seeds. Some weren't hit that badly. The CBD Blue Shark is much better off but still has some seeds. I'm trying to stay positive. It's a bit of a shock though. I'm anxious to try the finished product. If the flowers at least taste good and have a good effect, all is not lost.

Apple Fritter is growing good. I applied frest lst, and a defoliation. She is growing in a 5 gallon New Level Hydro bucket. Under a Spider Farmer SE5000 at 60 percent power right now. Dear diary, Week 4 almost done, but posting a day in advance as I will need help from the community! Something terrible has happened, and I am not sure what, so let’s jump into it. 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀 ⏰ Day 25: Away from home so the flatmate is feeding them from the premixed bucket. ⏰ Day 26: Back home! As they have doubled in size I am transplanting up from 3liter to 20liter airpots. The 75/25 coco to perlite mix was first run with 1.23ms 5.8ph calmag water followed by 1.33ms 5.8ph nutes before transplanting over. Light was about 305 so also upped it to 320-330ppfd. ⏰ Day 27: Feed the girls at 1.36ms and 6.0ph. Today was also the day where the mainlining begins! This was done by topping above the 3rd node, removing any growth below the 3rd and tying them down to start the manfold. Aiming for 8 or 16 tops for each plant depending on how the grow. ⏰ Day 28: Feeding at 1.36ms 5.8ph and adjusted ties. ⏰ Day 29: Checked in on them in the morning before lights off, and something is very wrong. All the older leaves show all kinds of issues like curling, brown and yellow spots, drooping etc. Might just be from the chock of mainlining and the lights being to strong so lowered them to 230ppfd. Later when lights turned on again, their state has not deteriorated during light off, so I’m fairly sure it is light related. But to be sure I also gave the girls 2 liter each of feed to make sure there are no dryspots, 1.36ms 6.0ph. ⏰ Day 30: I was away all day so they were watered by flatmate with 1.35ms 6ph. When I came home later in the night the spots and yellowing is still happening on the older leaves but much slower than before. I also checked runoff and it’s fine at 1.46ms and 6.0ph. ⏰ Day 30: Gave a feeding of 1.46ms 6.3ph in were I increased A and B nutes to 2.5ml/l from 2.0 and calmag to 1.5ml/l from 1.3. Someone suggested that it might be magnesium deficiency so that is why I changed the ratios and increased the EC a bit. Lastly I also gave a foliar spray of calmag water at like 12ml/l at 6.3ph to see if that helps so we can head into a smoother week 5!

Germination stage was kicked off fairly quick. After 1 complete day the seeds had cracked and produced small tap roots. The very next day(April 27th which was a Wednesday) I planted about an inch - inch and a half into the soil. A few days later (Saturday morning April 30th) the Lemon Shining Silver Haze was the first to come above soil. Bluematic came up later in the day/evening.

Ok this was my first grow and I made mistakes. -forgot to buffer coco - nutrient burn -started the manlining to early - probably worried to much about every stage these plants. -ended up with fungus gnats And probably appt more I can’t rmeber in the moment. But i learned so much from all of my mistakes and spent so much time researching and seeing in real time how these plants react and grow. I did do some experimentation just a normal top with one blue dream. I topped twice one another blue dream and did a 3 times topped on all the blue dreams and I see why you should at least top three times the eight main colas and spread out the plant I see some of the buds on the one I only topped once not matured at all because there was minimal light other buds were growing so fat it suffocated it basically. I could have probably defoliated and manliness better but ayy. Beginners wil make Mistakes and I’m happy with what came out of these girls. Not excited for trim hail but I am at the same time 😅😅
