Welcome to week 5 of my white truffle grow! What an eventful week! After I installed the trellis last week one of the tips of a branch cracked completely. Luckily the crack was in the perfect position, so the plant just topped herself another time 😄 Nevertheless I’m defoliating a lot because of the small size of the box and trying to keep the plant as low as possible. I needed to defoliate twice this week because she’s building up a lot of biomass. I’m wondering why I’m still not seeing any sign of pre flower yet, but let’s wait and see what’s coming up in week 5. End of week 5- no sign still.

Finally flipped the lights over to flower mode and took the humidifier out of the tent. So far so good we are gonna keep watching to make sure we didn't over do the nuts. Don't want any Nut burn that can be annoying. make sure you hit the follow button

Three of the four original seeds have sprouted and are growing well. I planted the fifth and last seed as an replacement.

---GENERAL COMMENT--- Girls are at day 4 technically, but i like to update Sunday always, so keep that in mind, is 1/2 a week now. From germination to soil emerging took 3-4 days, no issues at all. 100% germination rate from multiple breeders till now. I will try my best to do a stress free grow again, so will grow mainly naturally. ---RQS EASY BUD--- Ironically the Easy bud is developing better and growing faster than her sister. ---DAY 10 UPDATE--- Over some days she got volume, just started to use RECHARGE, and wow, that thing works, 48H you could tell something is different, since watering with it the stem is thicker and is growing more vigorous, lets see how it will impact overall! ---DAY 14 UPDATE. WEEK 2 FINAL--- This is the last day of this week and this girl is absolutely amazing, she grew a lot, showing already the intension of shooting up more stems, i'm very happy with her, it has been a delight to grow, response in very good. Voodoo juice is of by now, will keep the recharge maintenance every other watering as i'm loving it. Feeding program will start soon!

This week she was transplanted into her forever home. A 38 litre airpot. The timelapse is the whole week except a few hours when I was repotting.

Girls are loving the light! I was bit worried with the smaller gal and leaves pointing up, but with no sign of light-stress or anything else negative I've taken it as a good sign and they are just thriving so yesssss! I'm prone to want to defoliate as I'm use to growing in a much smaller environment (5 gal bucket lol) but I've been good and have only snipped a handful of leaves that were either blocking other bud-sites or restricting airflow. I cannot wait to see what this harvest brings in, I'm hoping for 3-3.5 oz (85-99grams). Now that they are flowering nicely I'm no longer using Gro, just Micro+Bloom with some calmag and silicate. Good week of fattening up , temps are on the rise by 2 degrees in the tent as summer gears up I would of liked to have had these done by now as the next few weeks are hot and humid . Just gotta keep that air flow up and cop the wind burn on the fan leaves . Started feeding every day last week instead of every other day and they are hooking thru their feeds . Will feed another week then a 2 or 3 week taper to flush . The smell from this purple punch is so strong and the leaves actually taste like blueberries , home stretch now

Buds a bulking up, getting sticky, frosty and stanky!! Do-si-dos is a bit behind the other ladies as this strain will take an extra week to finish, but she's also packing on size, frost and stickyness. This week the new growth of the plants transitioned from looking relatively healthy to droopy and yellowed. I wasn't sure what the issue was at first and thought it might be light stress. After more research, I determined that I had what looked very much like a zinc deficiency, which is almost always a symptom of over-watering, which is the most common mistake for new growers, i.e. "Me". I had assumed that adding a good amount of perlite to my soil and using smart pots would prevent me from running in to any drainage issues but I guess not. I was up to 1.5 liters per plant when I realized that it was too much. I also realized I was misreading my syringe which I use to mix nutrients, and that i had been giving only 1/10 of the liquid nutrients that I thought. I'm super embarrassed about the mistake but I'm going for full transparency here, so there it is. Course correction takes places after day 31.

About 3 more weeks on that girl shes nicely stacking on the buds, smelling lovely but as you know I fcked her up bad😂

Week 16 Everybody is on Flower! End of August: daylight 13h20: 7h20/20h40. Day temperature max: 26°C - Night temperature : 17°C Sunny weather - 2/3 rainy days in 2 weeks Enriched the soil with seaweed powder and bat guano. Continue to add flowering nutrients: Grower Master I added some Calmag one time. Watering 2L/plant every 3 days (2 days would be better) With humidity growing and the relatives hot temperatures: the predators are attacking plants. Everything appears so fast: Aphids, caterpillars, leaf miner flies. Did a general defoliation before spray my mixture Garlic + laurel (12cl Garlic juice + 5cl laurel infusion + 1L distilled water: beware PH!!). I sprinkled diatomaceous earth on top of soil to protect and minimize the infestation. Brake Pad Breath: still deep green and bushy. Flowering since 4 weeks. The most advanced, pretty good flowers with long pistils are growing. Spared until now: the plant is victim of Aphids, miner leaf flies and caterpillars in a « reasonable way »….try to eradicate the problem without shocking the plant at this stage. Flash Back#2: around 2 weeks flowering, stretched a few centimeters more, well developed plants with lot of blooming sites. Relatively spared by pests, just some aphids. GMO X Zombie Kush: some difficulties to recover….just engaged the flowering process, not to bad if she resist to the second pest’s wave. Royal Moby: uncertain destiny….recovering good, sativa style: 155cm, just starting the flowering stage…super late! Harvested a pretty auto flower: White Russian by Serious Seeds. Well developed plant, a little bit long to be ready but resinous and meaty buds.

So I made a totally noob mistake. I can't believe I didn't think about how fast the males would spread pollen. I was still trying to figure out which male I wanted to use for selective pollination on a specific branch. So I pulled the males and I'm attempting to collect pollen using a trim tray screen. Its working quite well and I'll make a video with that as well. I'm not even sure if it's viable or if my attempt and mistake of leaving the males too long will work. So anyways I realize now how delicate it is to have males. They start popping fairly quickly. The gelato female is praying hard. Super happy it seems Come check out my YouTube y'all
