Into week three of flowering: - Need to up CalMg this week cause all my last grows with this strain the plants were stressing and showing signs of Mg deficiency I think. - The buds are stacking up pretty tight. - The top of the plant is showing some red veins AGAIN, don't know if it is genetics? Or is it too much light? ANY SUGGESTIONS? - Usually what happens is that after week three top of plant will show red veins and some leaves will turn light green yellow. Since my plant is showing the following symptoms: - Slow yellowing of top of cannopy - Fan leaves pointing up in a steep angle - Leaves are tacoing up a bit with sharp pointy serrated leaves pointing up - Veins are turning purple and some leaves are showing green veins and yellowing of outer part of the leaf REASONS FOR THE SYMPTOMS: - Since the light is too close to the top of the canopy, although my light is running at around 60% and it is at least a meter away from the light. I think because this was a mother and basically she is accustomed to top canopy PAR of around 180-220 and she was measuring around 600PAR so that is just too much for the plant to handle. So I've lowered the light output so the top canopy is around 420 PAR. - Also my humidity is pretty high at around 72% so I lowered it to around 65% - The reason why the leaves are tacoing up to the light is because the canopy cannot take the high PAR, the temp at the top of the canopy is only 76F so that is acceptable, but the plant is trying the sweat due to the high PAR, but because the humidity was also too high it was not sweating as much as it should. - The reason why a light stressed plant shows different deficiencies eg. magnesium and phosphate is due to the "extra sweating" that takes place, cannabis plants don't choose what they intake, if they need more water to sweat, extra nutrients will be absorbed and this will lockout some of the other nutrients in the solution. **End of week update: Tried multiple changes but still no luck on getting rid of red leaf stem. - Added a 1 hour sunrise and sundown light regiment - Decreased Humidity to 65% from low 70's - Top of canopy PAR decreased from 600 to 350. Leaves red stems still not going away and top of canopy still trying to get rid of moisture with fan leaves pointing up. If anyone can chime in that would be great thanks.

I went away for a week and forgot to switch the lights over to 12-12. They had an extra 5 days veg! Things are getting too big for my tent now! I’ll top it and see how it goes.

How is it growing, my fun(k) loving friends? ***INFO*** For more on my setup, why it was monster cropped, and how I made the canopy, see Germination page and subsequent weeks. They had 48 hrs of darkness, and the time has come to say goodbye to my friends. I thanked them again, spend some time with them, and under the sound of Amazonian shaman's harvest and healing songs (will post link), asked for their gifts, and apologized for taking their lives. I do this while in contact with the plants, touching, smelling them, observing every detail, no thoughts, just in the present moment. I feel emotional as I do this and remember how they were a companion, a source of distraction in a time of worry, sadness, and loss. How they already comforted me and kept me company in a time of painful insights about honesty, commitment, and staying true to myself. I thank them again for their wisdom and gifts, viva Santa Maria, viva Planta Maestra, may the mother of all beings give us healing and protection. And I proceed with the harvest as I visualize my intentions with every cut. Branch by bud laden branch is tenderly untangled from the scrog net, taken with a clean-cut and immediately hung upside down in the grow tent, which will now double as a curing and drying room. So the grow had dried in 7 days, what I wanted to be 14 at least. Thankfully, its Sativa ancestry shines through, the smoke isn't harsh, the buds a sticky and smelly, no hay smell at all. We ended up at 246 grams, excluding a shitload of larf and popcorn bud, totaling at 310 grams all in, a first at a gram per watt for me, but for the Zambeza seed competition, I stated we would only weigh the quality bud. Overall I'm very happy!! Week 3 for the solo is officially complete. She's been growing with no trouble. Root development has been excellent. As you can see, I decided to mainline. Seeing as she's in a solo cup, I'm not too worried about stunting. I'm horrible at measuring the water intake, but the cup needs to be watered daily. It's as lite as a feather everyday.

I've owned this wonderful red lady for about six years. She was my first plant imported from the States, and to this day, she's one of the best genetics I have here. Very robust, can withstand anything, likes to be trained, and the smell is very strong even before flowering.

Hey guys, update week 2 this week I decided to do a video update to change it up, I also didnt take the plants out of the plant this week just gave water. They are all happy and grow at a nice rate, still no fertilizer just water in Sonnenerde living soil, even though the size of them compared to the pot size makes me worry a bit. Lets see what the next week has in store as we continue this journey together. I have to say I like these genetics a lot, all making nice trichomes and developing a beautiful aroma, solid plants, not one of the 4 doing funky things. Solid genetics !

This was the first run of a FastBuds strain and I appeared to have picked a strain that works well with my grow style. She had nice wide indica leaves at the start of her growth and by two weeks over the sides of the pot. 3 gal seems to be a good pot size given her life span and her size. She flipped to flower as expected in week 4. From there she steadily gained weight in flower and was a struggle to keep her tied down with LST. Removing the lower bud sites on the side branches would also have helped to fill in her top colas so don’t be worried that she won’t fill in and you talk yourself into leaving them......cut them off😃👍She sets into a nice yellow fade on the leaves and the edges take on a purple colour. Add in red and orange hairs with everything covered in trichomes and she is a beautiful girl🤩🤩 Flush was over two weeks so expect a smooth smoke 🤞 Will follow up with more as she progresses through drying. In the box with temp at 62 to 66 degrees and humidity at 60%. Branches are not that long so I am expecting dry should be around 7 to 10 days. *******Updated Mar 7/20********* Dry went okay and she was in there for 9 day dry, Feb 25 to Mar 5th. Will be waiting until she has roughly a three week cure before I sample anymore. Did a little for not just to test her out. Further notes from dry and trim........ Should have fed her another week for increased density. Smoke is smooth so far, I don’t mind sacrificing weight for smooth smoke but not sure it was a needed trade off with this girl. Find out next run of her, which will be very soon😀👍 Her high is nice and strong. Not much sampled so far........rather say more to come in a few weeks......sweet and impressive so far!!!! Again a real pleasure to grow and I see more opportunity to do better with this girl😃 Very excited to go again and will definitely be in the next auto run again. Love how she grew and looked! Already ordered more FastBuds genetics and will see Girl Scout Cookies with another Zkittlez for sure!!! In dieser Woche hat die Pflanze nochmals klares Wasser mit Flawless Finisch bekommen um die Blüten richtig zu spülen, was ich ca. 4 mal Wiederholt habe💧🍁 Die Blüten sind in der Woche sehr gut gereift und in den nächsten Tagen bereit für die Ernte. Der Geruch ist sehr stark geworden und die Blüten liegen förmlich in einer Harzschicht 👀 Das Terpenen Profil ist gleich geblieben hat sich nur nochmal deutlich verbessert. Es dominieren weiter Benzin, Zitrone und Süß-Fruchtige Noten ⛽️🍬🍋 An Tag 60 geht es Richtung Ende entgegen 🏁

Ginger Nut Cookies and Aussie music videos week six Thursday 6th feb 2020 Hi Growers well I decided to bite the bullet and attempt some LST and topping , I gently bent it over and tied each branch down to a predrilled hole in the pot with some soft wire. I then topped each node that was showing. If any one has any extra tips or advice on how I should go about my training I would welcome it as I am still learning . This girl is definately showing some Indica dominant characteristics about her and looks nice and healthy. I will continue to train the branches as they grow and tuck fan leaves that block light . Now for the Music Videos ###### This Week I chose two songs from two different Music Videos and two different artists both spreading the message about Reconciliation and land rights for our Indigenous Brothers and sisters here in Australia . This is something I feel is very important and is still a major issue over 200 years later.
