may 11: start of week 7

It was a good week the buds are already getting more dense. 3 out of 4 pots had some slight stretching issues, the last pot I transplanted had the most even canopy. Probably mixed the wrong ratio of amendments in the beginning . Looking forward to second half of flower!

Hey again my fellow growmies, Tomorrow being the 13th will be my last water change before i harvest on Sunday 17th. Then she would have been flushed for 14days and should be clean and nutrient free! The discoloration to her leaves show me that she is ready!!! Her smell is absolutely amazing I can't explain it. Apart from she smells like a candy store! Absolutely beautiful! Once harvested she will go into glass jars to be cured and then I can place a review and pics etc. Cannot wait!! Excited 😁 😄 💗 💖 😁 😄 Till the next time peace and love to you all 👍✌️🤜🤛🌱

Hi everybody week 1 into vegetation stage started feeding expert nutrients the whole line for the grow stage I use 0.3 ml to 1L of everything witch gives me a nice 320 PPM I have found perfect for their first feed. Can't wait how to see she goes and thank you for looking at the diary there will be updates every week and always remember it's 420 somewhere 👍🌱

Hello everyone. Update on the Banana Runtz F1 Hybrid part two diary. They are officially in week one of veg! Temperatures are perfectly in check, and humidity is sitting on the lower side, between 58% and 68%. Right now, my vegetative plants are playing hide-and-seek under the canopy of a flowering plant, which means they aren’t getting as much light as they deserve. That’s why these little rebels are stretching for the sky like they’re trying to escape. To fix this, I’m setting up a dedicated veg tent so they can finally enjoy their own personal day in the sun. Hello guys I’m sorry that I missed one week, the last week when she turned pink! Day 101 - harvest day, I had to wet trim my plant because i have problems with the humidity, it’s 98% rh outside and raining like hell. I haven’t invested in a dehumidifier yet didn’t think I had to use one🤦‍♂️🏽 Day 103 - day 3 drying Day 104: today I hade to cut the buds from the branches because my rh is to high hahaha! 😃 Day 105: I put my buds to jars today. I had a total of 124g trimmed buds! Day 106: had to put my buds outside the jars for 12hr for now to start with, had them over night and rh was 70% in the jars… having them now for drying again in 55%-60% rh

Everything is going well, the plants grows fast and got a good size. The temperature are starting to get higher, I hope I will manage it.

Sorry guys, cause of noo time this week i was not able to make normal pics. It was last week, so i just defoliated and flush 5days with ph'ed water and a bit of molasse. Last day 24hrs of dark. Cya after trimming and then after curring.

This strain gave us no problems, very simple to grow! The plants both stayed small and bushy until flower, then they took off. We will be back to adjust the weight and add more comments. 8/14/21 - The buds are done curing and it’s 🔥 Smooth and flavorful 💨 We finally smoked it and couldn’t finish a joint lol. It’s a lot stronger than we anticipated. I love indica strains and this is now one of my favorites. Next up we have 2 Lemon Kush and 2 Gelato growing outdoors as a side project in between indoor LED grows. Blueberry from seedsman was so simple to grow. We messed up on a few things but we got plenty of nice buds and made 2lbs of butter for edibles. -FIN-

🌱 Day 8 — Veg Nutrient strength kept light (≈180 ppm) for root development. Water level just below net pots; bubbles lightly mist the bottoms. Reservoir and pH stable throughout the week. No visible roots yet. Will transfer the 4 best plants into the alien aero system when: Roots are long, white, and branching — at least 4–6 inches hanging freely into the SuperPonics reservoir. Root tips are firm and bright (not soft or brown). The plants have at least 3–4 sets of true leaves and are starting to accelerate growth. 🌱 Day 10 — Veg Roots have finally reached the water. Will look to transplant in the next 5 days or so.

She is recovering well since the transplant. She is much bushier and greener than last week and I am happy with it. Yesterday I gave her a Bio Fish feed at 2.5ml per liter and next week I will slowly increase it by 0.5ml or as needed. The scrog net is still just being used to keep the frame of the plant down and the 2nd screen will come as soon as I start seeing those 5 and 7 bladed leafs.

04/09 - Started minor defoliation. Shes getting too bushy and blocking bud sites and causing moisture spots. Will remove a couple of leaves every other day for the next week. 05/09 - Full res change. Realised I mucked up the ratio. Went 35ml Micro, 25ml grow, (Shouldve been the other way around, so added an extra 10ml grow), 15ml Bloom and 15ml Silica. EC 1.4, PH 5.7. Will keep an eye on her and add some additional grow if she does alright. 06/09 - Minor defoliation. Removed about 12 leaves total so far. LST to spread the canopy a little more. PH stable at 5.8, EC at 1.4, Water level dropping. Seems to be stretching and pistils have begun to form! Responding well to the uptick in nutes from the res change. 07/09 - Leaf tucking, LST and took a leaf or two. Shes getting her stretch on for sure. PH stable at 5.8, EC stable at 1.4. Water level still dropping. 09/09 - After much deliberation, I ended up going for a fairly heavy defoliation session and am now going to leave her the hell alone until at least mid flower. I removed a large chunk of shaded leaves and bud sites and effectively ended up lollipopping her. I also removed all the old LST, and added a couple to pull leaves out of the way. The canopy remains largely unchanged, but shes much more airy now, and Im seeing far fewer damp spots where leaf perspiration has occured. Now to see if I can keep my hands off for a few weeks!

Week two of flower is here and the first pistils are popping out all over the place. I am pretty pleased with how the training is going and the grow overall. I will here give a report on each plant. 1) Back left plant. Growing very well, the most lateral branching of any plant of the four. multiple additional colas popping up to the canopy level. 2) Back right plant. Growing very well, however almost no lateral branching. Aside from the four main branches and the two lower nodes, there is almost no secondary growth at all, which males this plant a really bad candidate for scrog. To try to encourage more brancing I have topped one of the branches. I do my best. 3) Front left plant. Great growth here, very similar plant to the first. I did accidentally snap a cola off today while training. Whoops. 4) Front right plant. Very similar to the first and third, except she is four days younger so I'm quite pleased that she is holding her own in this scrog. How am I doing so far? This is my first time scrogging, and I am sort of winging it. If you see something wrong please tell me, or if you see something right! Day 8: Fertigated 5l each. Day 10: Photographed and applied defoliation and LST training to continue the scrog process. Day 12: Fertigated 5l each. I will do a final tucking and defoliation in two days, then I will let the girls grow from there in. Room setup rundown, examples of bud, et al in pictures... Seedlings/Clones lights - Viparspectra XS1500. Vege lights - Mars Hydro FC-4800 Flower Lights - 650w 3400K 1900umol/s PAR, (3) 226w DIY 2900K 630umol/s PAR (678w and 1890umol/s), Substrate - 50/50 sphagnum peat moss and vermiculite in 5-gallon pots Climate Control - Luckily, the lights, winter and normal furnace use all equate to a decent temperature, though a bit on colder side in in vege phase, sadly. Humidifier is needed early and later a dehumidifier is needed when canopy develops. I only grow in the winter months. Irrigation - do not use the emitters in this diary. They suck a big fat dick to skip a line to suck a bigger dick. They come in different shapes, too. Basic process The little light takes care of seedlings in 2.5" wide seedling pots until first up-pot. The 1-gallon pots fit well under the FC4800 in a 4x4 tent until day 21 after sprout. I plant 150% or more of what i need, so i can kill the weak without concern. The goal is for every plant that makes it to the 5-gallon up-pot being capable of producing a minimum of 160 grams with a maximum of a 35-40 day vegetative phase. Third up-pot is into 5-gallon nursery pots and now under the 3 DIY lights and the 650W light in the big tent for a couple more weeks of vege. An irrigation system in the big tent saves a lot of time. One scrog for training and another for support, just in case. Reverting back to a more systematic approach to canopy composition moving forward. About 2.3 colas per sq ft and 8 primary colas per plant. Yields were similar when over-crowding and being less systematic, but the proportion of less dense nugs is greater and trim time is needlessly elevated because of that fact. I was very controlling about this the first couple years but got away from it for far too long at this point. Drying / Curing - Into mesh racks for 9 days. I wet trim and cut down to similarly sized buds for even drying. Temps are controlled around 68F and RH is set to 60%. Then into some 5-gallon buckets with gamma seal lids and (3) 2-way 67g boveda humidipaks (58% or 62%) in each bucket - 1 at bottom, 2 at top. Temp/RH probe confirms that they hold the RH steady at 60-63%. Cost - 0.33 cents (USD) per gram produced. This includes an accelerated depreciation expense for all equipment used, fertilizer, water, electricity for all equipment used, new filters and other yearly purchases - bti, ph strips, sticky traps, etc. I'm a finance guy, so these numbers are comprehensively accurate and purposely err slightly on high side of cost. The only facet not included is the cost of my labor.
