It’s going good !

Mendo Frost is looking extremely healthy going into week 3 of flower. The stretch has mostly settled and the plant is now sitting at around 55 cm with a fairly even canopy. Bud production has increased noticeably over the last days and the first visible trichome coverage is already developing on the sugar leaves and early flower sites. The structure is still quite unique compared to my other plants — instead of building large side branches, she stacks many smaller flower sites directly along the stems. This should create a lot of bud coverage, although it already looks like harvest day will turn into an absolute trimming nightmare. Despite that, the plant currently looks vigorous, happy, and fully dialed into bloom mode.

Week 11 Journal Update: Northern Lights 1 & Strawberry Nugget x Pink Panama 2 * Overview & Stature: Week 11 brings an update on the new batch of autoflowers—Northern Lights 1 (NL1) and Strawberry Nugget x Pink Panama 2 (PPX2). Both plants are exhibiting an exceptionally small, miniature, and compact stature, sitting tightly packed low in their fabric pots. When scaled next to a standard lighter, their micro-sized build becomes fully apparent. * Flowering Progress: Despite their tiny frame, both specimens are actively pushing through their flowering phase. Bud development is dense and tightly clustered around the miniature structures, with early trichome coverage and pistils forming nicely on the compact colas. * Feeding & Water Management: The nutrient and watering regimen remains steady, with both plants receiving regular doses of Cal-Mag. Irrigation water is being treated with pH down, successfully bringing the overall pH level down to a balanced target of approximately 6.2. * Harvest Expectations: Given their unique micro-stature, the final yield is shaping up to be extremely modest—at most, maybe a single satisfying puff will be harvested off PPX2 once they cross the finish line.

By the looks of things they appear to have two weeks to go more or less from now on no nutrients will be put in the water only the right pH. I want to see some yellow leaves meaning the plant is start to consume the nutrients from inside their nutrient Bank resereserved meaning all extra salt nutrients don't go into your buds creating a smoother smoke. The plant has been a joy to grow and there buds look incredibly dense and heavy as well as very nice smell a whole bunch hard balls all over the branches what's a great plant to grow. thank you for reading I will continue to update have a happy grow.

********** Week 2 of flower - Sept 26 to Oct 2/20 *********** It has been an exciting week with finding a crack in a main stem and started new supplemental nutrients as well. On Sept 28 I found a crack and had to do some repairs. Gorilla Girl was better off than one of the Cream 47’s with a cracked stem. GG4 was caught early enough that she didn’t separate much at the base. Looks to be as though I have caused the issue by topping the main stem a little too low😢 Coming back though and when tied together and looked after, its crazy how these plants can heal themselves😀💪👍 Took the tips from fellow growers and decided to try and fabric something with some cushion so that the straps holding the branches together don't cut into the branches. Needed another tool of the trade.......DYNAVAP to calm the nerves😀 because the grow has been going well and this set back has me pissed off as it is grower error😡 Seems to have worked out pretty well. Switching the PK booster at the end of the week to Big Bud and started to add Rezin from Green Planet. Not much for Bud Factor X left so will run with Terpinator and Rezin as a replcement. 2nd layer of SCROG netting added early in the week, Sept 27/20. They are pushing out a good amount of leaves now and stretching so need to provide that added support for down the road. IPM spray again this week, last opportunity, with Plant Therapy. There has been something in the tent and I think I have killed them. One more shot though to make sure and before there are too many bud sites. Love this product!!!!!! Works so well at getting rid of thrips and mites. Really good growth this week. I need these girls to stop now though!!!!! They getting really tall and have roughly 12” above the canopy now. The node stacking is really good and they are forming a number of colas. Looking very positive so far! This strain is so vigorous and she just want to go👍 They have gone from 18” tall to 34” in a week......crazy good growth. Little more detail........ Sept 26/20, Day 8 - Little heavier feed as they have not been watered for two days - 4L - CalMag @ 2ml, Sensi Bloom, B52, Bud Candy, Bud Ignitor @ 1ml - 830ppm and 5.7pH - will start to let the pH rise bit now over next couple of weeks - side branching doing very well and coming up. - GG4 a little bare in the middle of the plant with just four colas. Sept 27/20, Day 9 - 2nd SCROG layer added. - GG colas getting long........need to add more Silica as well. Sept 28/20, Day 10 - more microbes today - 4 L - Microbial Mass @ 1.5ml, CalMag @ 1ml - 290ppm and 6.3pH - pH was a little high but left it...wasn't moving and then boom,,,,,,,oh well. - Good amount of runoff today. - GG4 has one cola leaves not happy. Not sure if its light or wind. Moved the closest fan to her today. - GG1 shooting lots of branches right now. - GG4 bud stacking is happening already and doing very well. Sept 30/20, Day 12 - Heavier feeding today - 5L - CalMag, Vitathrive, Rezin @ 2ml Rhino Skin, Bud Candy, B52, Sensi Bloom @ 1ml. - repaired the cracked stem a little better tonight......not as bad for this girl. - Try and keep the paper towels wet now so the humidity is high around the wound. - Should have left a little more branch from the node above when cutting the top. Oct 1/20, Day 13 - Switching PK booster today to Big Bud......these two girls are past bud ignitor.....already stacking. - 3L - CalMag, Sensi Bloom, B52, Bud Candy, Big Bud @ 1ml - 665ppm and 5.9pH - Since these girls are so tall I am not going to give them Green Planet Massive. I find they get quite a bit taller with that product. I am looking for chunky and not tall so I will keep up with Advanced PK boost. - IPM spray tonight again with Plant Therapy. Think I have seen some bug damage on Cream 47 girls. That takes us to the end of week 11 in growth and week 2 of flower. Time will go quick now that we are off and running. Will be done feeding by early week 7. Want a good flush and leeching on these girls to get all the nutes out. I have been missing it by a few days on the last few auto runs and want this photo run to be better as I have a better track of weeks and when she will be done..........should be the end of week 9 to first days of week 10 of flower, about 7 more weeks. It’s the last week of flowering, and I’ve moved the plant into 48 hours of darkness to help boost trichome production before harvest. ✨ The plant has developed an incredibly deep purple color and is covered with trichomes—so much so that it sparkles under any light. The scent is amazing, filling the room with a sweet, candy-like fragrance with a touch of diesel. 🍬 When I trimmed a few leaves to prep for harvest, my scissors actually turned purple from the resin! That’s a first for me and shows just how rich and sticky the trichomes are on this plant. 😮✂️💜 I’m so excited to see how it looks and smells once it’s fully dried. This grow has been unforgettable! 😁🌿✨

Switched to a lighter feed this week, leading into flush. Did the lighter feed for 5 days, and have been flushing for 2 days now. Will play by ear this week, but I see 1 more week of straight PH'd water and then it may be time to cut them down. Very pleased with their progress. All the plants have stacked flowers, which have swollen nicely and are coasted in resin. The fade is kicking in and the flowers are starting to get some beautiful colour to them. Should be interesting to see what they look like in a week.

I might switch the lights in the next days. Depending on her growth. Day44: Added some water and moved the camera a little further away. Day45: She felt lonely, so I got her a friend... Theobroma Cacao. New seedling that needs the warmth + humidity. Hopefully surviving winter. Day46: I decided to take some zoomed in stills of her. To show off her beauty. The purpling of the branches really make this lady something special. In some of the shots it might look like her leaves are yellowing, but it's just the angle of the light. You can see on the photo that I took from the top, that all leaves are a healthy dark green. At least I now have proof that she's a lady. She's short and stubby, but I'm not really growing for amount. I just neeed 50g, after all (hehe) Day47: She grew like a demon overnight. I'll check the height tomorrow.

Smells and tastes straight like a banana smoothie

1/22/24 day 24 flower. Growing good, one pheno is growing into the light and into the fan but not too worried about it. 1/25/24 day 27 flower. Added another trellis because one pheno grew past it and is getting some burned hairs.

DWC Grow #3 - Flower Week 1 (Week 6) | Stretch Begins + Trellis Work + Reservoir Stabilizing (Jan 1–8) Day 35 (Jan 1) - Flip day Came back after being away a couple of days for New Year and she had absolutely exploded. The tent was suddenly feeling small. Water level had dropped a lot, and the readings were pH 5.98 / 705 ppm. I decided to flip to 12/12 and set the schedule to lights on 00:00-12:00. The mix was still in a conservative zone, and I focused on keeping the system stable rather than overreacting to the speed of growth. Day 36 (Jan 2) The canopy was getting dense enough that I started removing a little leaf mass, including one hilariously large fan leaf (it looked like a solar panel). I’m trying to stay controlled with pruning - just making room and visibility. Around this time I also logged pH 5.63 / 632 ppm (00:25). Day 37 (Jan 3) After a top-off I landed at pH 6.02 / 582 ppm. Still seeing how sensitive ppm is to top-offs because reservoir volume isn’t huge at the moment. The plant kept pushing hard. Day 38 (Jan 4) Did another small prune/tidy-up. Logged pH 6.15 / 601 ppm (00:30). pH drift upward continues to be the recurring theme in this run, so I’m trying to correct without swinging too aggressively. Reservoir temp has been staying cool, which I’m happy about. Day 39 (Jan 5) After adding 1 liter top-off water, readings were pH 5.85 / 610 ppm (around 11:45). Waterline was about 7 cm below the net pot, which I’m comfortable with as long as roots are well established in the solution. Canopy management is now a daily reality. Trellis work / canopy shaping During the week I also did some leaf tucking and weaved two tops sideways under the trellis, just to keep the canopy more even and avoid everything stacking straight up into the light. The plant is clearly in “fill the tent” mode now, so a little daily steering makes a big difference. Mid-week res swap + lighting change I mixed a fresh reservoir batch (9 L), dialed it to around pH 5.78 / 833 ppm, then did the res change. I also bumped light intensity up significantly (went to 75%) to match how aggressive the plant has become. At this point the plant is vigorous enough that the limiting factor is becoming vertical space and keeping a clean, even canopy under the net. Day 43 (Jan 8) 00:30 readings: 753 ppm / pH 6.38, so I topped off about 1.5 L and rechecked after mixing: pH 5.86 / 709 ppm / EC 1.418 (res correction landed cleanly and EC/ppm lined up perfectly). Week takeaway First week of flower has been all about managing momentum: she’s stretching, drinking more, and thickening up fast. The plant looks vigorous and the system is behaving predictably when I keep changes controlled. The main “project” this week has been balancing pH drift + top-offs while keeping the canopy open enough to actually work in the tent.

The watermelons are around one and a half week in flowering an they stretched a lot more than the fat banana, this is obviously a personal experience, but let see, at the moment we have quite some bud sites around the plant and she's nice and green
