Harvested choc 5, not a great washer based off what I got from the trim and larf, all the big buds are drying, took a whole rack on the vcure.

Today is Friday, 24 April 2020. Harvest window is calculated to begin Saturday, 9 May and last through 19 May. Grace, the plant in the back to the right, is showing signs that she's almost ready to harvest. I will continue to monitor her throughout week 17, but believe she is just about fully matured: Leaves have begun to turn yellow all over, pistols are brown and starting to curl in, and trichomes are beginning to become cloudy. I will begin the harvest once the trichomes begin to turn amber.

What can I say—I absolutely loved growing this strain. The plant has a great natural structure and didn’t really need any low stress training. Even while staying relatively compact in height, it tends to spread out a lot, which slightly reduces g/m², but makes up for it with beautiful elongated buds. I harvested her on day 76, at around 5% amber trichomes, to preserve that uplifting effect I was aiming for.

I dried it in the grow tent for about a week at 57% humidity and 62f. I then hand trimmed all the buds and it ended up being just short of 4oz total. I then cured it in 3 quart sized jars. After curing the buds smelled a bit more floral and pine scented but the blueberry terps were still super strong. Me and my friends smoked through this stuff super fast, it was pretty good.

Hey now, this week went very well. I transplanted her on day 16 and her leaves were praying as soon as the lights came back on. I still have the Spectrum X in V1 at 30% which is doing an excellent job of keeping her low to the ground with nice tight nodes. She is only six inches tall and pushing her 6th node on day 21. I transplanted her into a mixture of Coco Coir and Perlite and set up an auto watering system that is currently feeding her 4 times per day, Once at lights on, and then every 5 hours thereafter until the 4th feeding, then it repeats at lights on. I will top her just above the 6th node as soon as I have room between 6 and 7, which will hopefully be in the next several days. I know some people don't agree with topping autos, and I would certainly agree it's not the way to go in all setups. However, when utilizing high frequency fertigation in coco coir it is absolutely necessary. The issue is vertical growing space if you are growing indoors, as outdoors this is not an issue. I use a combination of LST, topping, mainlining, manifolding, and super cropping to try to keep my plants from growing into the lights, but it can still be tough especially when growing Sativa dominant strains. Hopefully I can top her above the 6th node but that will depend on how many nodes she pushes out before starting to flower but I think I will be fine. I will begin LST as soon as she recovers from the topping which typically takes about 24 hours. I am definitely very happy with this medic grow led so far, I have not even started the UV/IR spectrum but I will be in about 1-2 weeks as soon as these last two seedlings hit veg. Day 24-31 (Day 25) The smell in here is absolutely ridiculous. My last grow didn’t smell even close to this bad in early flower. (Day 27) Stretch is finally all done. #6 in the back is very stout and barely stretched compared to everything else. I doubt it will yield much but I’m excited to see the nice tight colas on it. It seems to be still getting adequate light and raising it up is hard to do with a scrog net so I will just leave it. If it wasn’t getting enough light it would be stretching right? The early frost is really shocking to me. My last indoor round definitely wasn’t this caked and I’ve never had an outdoor plant on this level either. That’s also true in terms of smell too. (Day 29) I’m still debating whether I should feed anything in flower or just leave it. The only deficiency I’m seeing is purple stems from P def which could actually just be from light intensity rather than a lack of P. I’ve done some thinking and I’ve decided to only feed my small plant. What I’m most curious about is if a PK boost will actually make any kind of a difference in flower when it comes to bud size and smokability. So to test this theory I will be top dressing a teaspoon of 0-18-0 bat guano, a tablespoon of 1-4-2 Destiny launch and a half strength watering of 0-0-15 kelp extract. I’m trying to avoid N all together as I just toxed my guinea pig plants with another experimental flowering PK boost that had a very small amount of N in it. This plant in particular actually has very early signs of N def and probably will fade harder than the rest. (Day 31) Shit. Looks like #1 is starting to herm. It’s definitely not environment or light leaks so maybe it’s just genetic or the recent leaching stressed it out too much. Either way, it’s only a single lower branch and I’m prepared to cut her down if I start seeing anymore. I double checked every other budsite but couldn’t find anymore. In my experience true herms usually start pushing bananas out of the main tops and plants like mine can usually be salvaged with little to no seeded bud. But then again it’s day 31, when these things usually start to happen. I’m 50/50 on this one. I will be watching it everyday like a hawk if anymore show up. The breeder I’m using, ‘Jordan of the Island’s’ is notorious for having unstable genetics and this will be the last time I run any of his stuff. The quality is good, certainly better than most European and Dutch genetics I’ve run but I know I could do better where genetics are concerned. I can’t wait to start hunting my archive dosidos x gelato 41 and in house sugarcane.
