Today marks day 21 girls are looking great! They are stacking beautifully. Finally starting to get some smells very weak though. But I am seeing frost on the runts layer cake and the rucu cucu og. It’s gonna be water based not this week sense I’ve gone heavy the last few weeks Day 19 girls got some recharge and 10 ml of surge. Threw in a tbs of the terp tea bloom but I don’t think it did anything since it’s was a small amount and I diddnt aerate it. Day 16-17 small defoliation with a lollipop

Hello Growmies, Week 3 for our Watermelon Candy by Zamnesia is unfolding with promise as we observe their transition through pre-flower. Opting for low-stress training over topping, we're guiding their growth gently to maximize their potential. The plants have gracefully reached our SCROG, and with two already skillfully trained, they are demonstrating adaptability and robustness. Through the canopy, we see an even spread of foliage, indicating that our LST approach is on point. The structure of the plants is sturdy, showing that the careful maneuvering through the SCROG mesh has been well received. The greenery is lush, leaves are perked up, reaching for the light—signs that our Watermelon Candy plants are in their element and thriving. Our environmental management has mirrored the successful strategies implemented with our Epic Buzz and Red Banana Pudding strains. Daytime conditions are meticulously controlled, with the Tent-X system maintaining VPD within the ideal range for healthy plant activity. However, as we've noted with our other strains, our nighttime VPD control presents a challenge. The data indicate a discrepancy in maintaining optimal humidity levels when the lights are off, suggesting that our current setup is not fully regulating the environment during these crucial hours. The intention to integrate the Smart Mars Hydro fan into the Tent-X system is a move towards rectifying this issue, with the aim to achieve a seamless 24-hour environmental control. The transition to this enhanced system will ensure that our Watermelon Candy plants receive the same level of consistent care throughout their entire growth cycle. Their current robust state and the proactive steps we are taking to fine-tune their environment have set a strong foundation for the weeks to come. Despite the leaves 🍁 turning yellow, the buds are still fattening up nicely, so I’m not worried at all. I’ve read that this indoor strain tends to sacrifice the fan leaves pretty early and yellow out (a pattern I’ve seen in other grow diaries and even on the RQS website!). I removed the dead or almost-dead ones and I’ll keep doing it gradually throughout the flowering. See you in the next episode! 🌱💨

Finally got my buddy to come out and add in a 20 amp outlet so I can fire up a better light. Still using quantum boards but with a 4500k spectrum. Got in a foliar with the Growzyme from green buzz liquids. Fed them right before I took the pics they look a little sad but hopefully they bounce back quickly. Not much else going on. I started germination of 5 Royal thai regular beans on 01/01/2021. HAPPY NEWYEAR! I am germinating them using rockwool cubes and a humidity dome. I pre moistened my plugs with ph balanced water to 6.4 . Than enlarged the pre made holes using a wooden dowel. Than sowed my 5 beans into the holes. I then ripped a small piece of rockwool off each plug and mulched it up. Than lightly filled in the holes using the mulched rockwool. Than it was into the humidity dome to marinate, and complete the germination process. Will likely take roughly 4 days to get some sprouts. Starting my adventure with Spliff Seeds Royal Thai. After they emerge I will get the plugs planted into 3 gallon pots to rock and roll. Cant fucking wait! Spliff Seeds Royal Thai is a cross of a Early Thai mother and a Skunk #1 father. This mashup produces a lanky, stretcher variety signature of classic sativa strains. The strain gas a roughly 12 week flowering time. There is 3 distinct phenotypes from these genetics. One with fluffier sativa signature bud structre. One with chunkier, bulky bud structre coming from the skunk #1 father. Lastly but definitely hope to get me one of these!!! Is the phenotype that Carrys over that signature thai chocolate terpene pallet. Though it takes the longest to mature... Best believe it's well worth the wait. Considering the natural plant stature and stretch. This will be a short veg, faster flip run. To keep these ladies tailored and suited for a indoor grow. All things considered... I'd probably get best results throwing these beans out during outdoor grow season. Letting them beast out and become trees. Mabey we just might try that with another batch. But with the research into the variety I've done I'm sure I can make em work some magic indoors. I'm amped for this.

It has now been 7 days since switching the light schedule to 12/12. The plants received a compost tea feeding, and the wick irrigation system is working exactly as intended. So far, it has been performing exceptionally well.

When I open the tent in the morning, the first thing I notice is the absolutely overwhelming smell that hits you in the face like a baseball bat. Every neighbor can probably smell it, with no filter to contain it. The buds have become so heavy that they're now bending the stems. This might be my biggest harvest yet. I'm visiting my girlfriend over the weekend, so I won't be home until Sunday. However, I'm fairly certain I'll be harvesting on Sunday.

Auto Northern Dragon Fuel is growing really well. The only issue is I need to go to twice a day with water. She has been drying out she is drinking, and absorbing a lot. Everything is growing great. The colas should be developing more very soon. This is the end of week 1. First time grow. Plant on the right was a little stunted, I think due to the taproot curling before being planted in the soil. Plant on the left seems to be growing steadily every day! (L for Left, R for Right)

D57/FD29 - So, at the last few days of week 4, the SCP had a good push to itself...put on about 6-9" so had to do some bending/leaning of some pretty stiff stems. Unfortunately the only way for them to go was towards the tent walls so drops the light but they're getting WAYYYY over the DLI they should be getting without supplementation of CO2 but its not doing them too much harm. They're drinking a ton but not taking on as much feed (as I've come to expect now in flower) so dropped the base and bloom by 10% (same recommended ratio of 1:1) and kept the PK9/18 booster in there at (what would be recommended) strength for this week...its the same as last week but week 1 (week 4 of flower) of PK9/18 should have been double...didn't want to overdo it as when I used recommended strength 1st time I got it, it created some serious root zone acidification (Which could have been all the K getting used up but was a mare getting the pH up from 4.something every day!!!). Did my usual root flush/wash before adding feed as the EC had crept up to 2.2 (and I know from experience, that starts messing with your numbers if you don't wash that out right) and took about 50L-60L to get the tank to 0.3EC (base is 0.2) was was a lot of salt sitting on/in the roots. Had a ton of underscreen dead leaf to pick up and just cut some wee straggly offshoots (I know, bad idea in flower but they were basically dead/no nutritional value left so basically a bug magnet). Still waiting on Bluelab to send me the RMA approved pH pen...been 2 weeks now since the RMA was approved and still no postage - using an "essentials" pH meter and just dipping in Calibration Fluids between each feed add to ensure some accuracy (As you can see from my recipe page, I like to know what the feed does to the pH - also gives an idea on what they're feeding on when you see pH swings in a different direction that expected). Geekbeast also got back to me. In all fairness, I've been dealing with them direct (Got the light fixture from Alibaba, direct from China - big gamble, right???) and they have been more than helpful. I have been telling them about the light randomly coming on at 5% (lowest brightness) and provided evidence; turns out someone else now noticed the same issue with the Remote App controlled variant and they believed it was a loose control board/wire. They said they did some stuff and that fixed it but I also thought mine was fixed by forcing the dimmer to 0% and it still randomly happened (even though it didn't do it for weeks) so the other person may still get a surprise!! 😋 So, I took out the driver today, pulled out the control board and all wires seemed good and no looseness in the control board (although it does look slightly bent as the Spade for the IR/UV switch isn't fully bedded in). But, like I say, in all fairness to Geeklight, they're posing me a new control board tomorrow from China AND giving me the longer driver cables so as I can put the driver outside of the tent! Give me a bit more room for my Flower Initiator and great to see them honouring the Warranty. Apart from that, wish the SCP would start to set flowers better, they're still looking a bit weak up top but stems appear to be stacking. Hopefully now that last push happened (and hopefully all pushed out!!!!), they will concentrate on buds only...this may be a 10+ week-er - which again, cant really afford as growing tent is drying tent!!! Its supposed to be a 75% indica so would expect bigger/quicker flowering but not showing too many symptoms of being mostly indica...maybe not quite a fully stable genetic line yet?? I dunno but its running slower like a sativa - even with the flower initiator and the late push would maybe imply that too??? Funnily, its tent mate, Red Hot Cookies is 60% sativa and has set flowers quite well so far - showing colour to the tips of the pistils...just wish it would start turning pink!!! Trying to keep away as I fear my meddling caused my hermie's. I found a light out, luckily I have 2. Looking for an upgrade now. Will use the remaining light as a backup. End of week, I have 3 x "600w" LED lights. Total draw is about 360w. 2 white (with added red) and one blurple in between them. I need to fix hanger system to keep them close, but not too close to affect cooling.
