Today I’m officially launching the grow diary for this run! The three girls have already been under the lights for two weeks and are looking strong and healthy as we enter proper vegetation. What makes this grow extra exciting is the three-way soil & fertilizer comparison I’m running side-by-side with identical lighting and genetics: One plant on BioTabs One on my own custom supersoil mix One on someone else’s supersoil recipe all of them will recieve just tapwater and 0.3 mL/L sysMag from my brand to correct the Ca:Mg from my tapwater to 3:1. I can’t wait to see which approach pulls ahead in growth speed, color, and overall vigor. All three plants are sitting in black trays topped with a generous layer of Miscanthus wood chips. The shredded mulch looks fantastic — it gives the whole setup a clean, professional finish while helping retain moisture, keeping the surface free of algae, and letting the roots breathe properly. Under the lights it has this nice warm, reddish glow that really ties the tent together. The full-spectrum LED is running an 18/6 schedule with a dynamic spectrum that starts blue-heavy in the morning and gradually shifts toward red as the day progresses into the evening. The plants are already responding beautifully to the changing light — nice deep green fan leaves, strong stems, and that early “jungle vibe” is starting to show. Everything feels stable and dialed in. I spent the day organizing the trays, double-checking connections, and getting the diary properly set up with baseline photos and data. Goals for this run: Track the three different soil/fertilizer approaches in real time Document weekly progress with photos and notes Keep the environment consistent while the spectrum does its thing Rainbow Melon, Nectar, and Something Good — three completely different genetics under the same roof. This is going to be fun. Let’s grow! 🌱✨

Oct 12: super warm still so the season is still going. In previous years we’ve had a -10 C sort of hard frost by now. Anyway, Bruce here is taking advantage of the warm weather. Sunlight is weak so not producing as many trichomes as she could under stronger light, but she is still putting on weight and the buds are decently firm. Most fan leaves turned purple at which point they’re no good for photosynthesis so I figured it’s better to remove them here in the home stretch. Might harvest in a few days, or might not… Oct 13: first round of 940 g wet buds, mostly as fresh frozen, with 80 g of that hanging. Buds are less dense than the Gorilla Cookies so despite Bruce being the bigger plant, it looks like the final yields will be similar. Left biggest cola on plant to see how much further it can ripen. Oct 14: watered with 26 C water with some potassium sulphate. My TDS meter has been broken all season so was estimating. Oct 15: nice weather continues. Oct 16: +4.2 C temperature anomaly over last 30 days, and this is “extremely hot”. Yay. Oct 18: sun is so low now that I lose direct sun by late afternoon. Weather turns soon and there are just four more days to go. Bruce will be harvested this weekend.

Photos from Day 1 to day 7 Sprouted 2 days after planted them. More or less I call them "B" and "S" because at some point, I guess in this first week, I may have overwatered a bit, one of them, and I think it made her grow slower during a week or so, before it got up to its growth again. I was only spraying them with water but I was doing it 2-3 times a day and may have done it 4 times once or twice... My first grow, I may have studied many videos and foruns, but somethings are only learnt when tried. And this "try" went juuust a lil sideways. Its ok Lights were at 50% I guess from the moment they felt earth. I found it fascinating how fast they grew in just 12 hours give or take. Check the photos I also used plastic bottles on tip of them in the first 3-5 days. Temperature inside it was from 22-28°C. RH 70-90%.

Hey there! So week 2 came with a couple of issues, my hometown (Wich is in Argentina, southern hemisphere) went through a heat wave, I did my best to try and keep the temp down inside, but my indoor was in a room without ac, so off to a slow 2 week too... This seed and most of the grow equipment was given to me and my intention was to made more seeds out of it and gift them for the second cannabis expo in Argentina.

AUGUST 24 to AUGUST 30, 2024 Sunrise 07:05, sunset 20:50 for total daylight of 13:45 hours. Specimen continues to push upwards, gaining approximately 13cm in height over the past week. Plant is taller than anticipated and planned for, which could present some difficulties as it's getting into the oscillating air circulation fan's wake. Was surprised to see the continued stretch, but there were two days of high heat that may have been the trigger, or, it may have been the result of defoliation and pruning, or it was simply the plant's final push, or a combination of all those factors. It appears to have crowned, or is close to being fully crowned, and as such I undertook a fairly heavy defoliation to improve airflow through the bottom of the plant, and strategically removed leaves in the upper canopy to improve light exposure. Fungus gnats did regain their hold, and so I decided to top dress with Bacillus Thuringiensis Israelensis (delivered via pulverized Mosquito Dunks) in an effort to kill larvae, treated with Soil Pest Defense (Neem Oil, Castile Soap and Yucca Extract) and replaced Bug Scan Yellow Sticky Traps at soil level. Effects were pretty immediate, but I will need to stay on top of this. Would like to cease use of Neem Oil in the soil, so considering acquiring some beneficial nematodes to combat the pest issue. Overall, specimen and its' "neighbours" in the greenhouse are doing well, and filling the room. When accounting for the bench and containers, tops of plants are over 152cm (5ft) from ground level. It is making management a little more challenging, and proving to be more difficult to find good angles to photograph (the space is pretty much filled up). The scent of citrus, skunk and spice emanating from the greenhouse is building, and at times quite strong. Still appears to me to be on-track for ripening the week of October 14, 2024. Day 120 - n/a Day 121 - Drip watered 5.0L of plain rainwater with pH of 6.7 Day 122 - n/a Day 123 - Defoliated specimens, focused on removing leaves from lower parts of the plant to improve airflow (lollipop), pruning hidden or non-producing branches, and strategically removing select upper fan leaves to improve light exposure and airflow. Day 124 - Top dressed with pulverized Mosquito Dunk (1/4 unit per specimen); 1.5L drip watered with plain rainwater in the morning; Hand watered 2.0L of Soil Pest Defense Drench in the afternoon; Hand watered 1.0L of plain rainwater about 30 minutes after soil drench; Replaced Bug Scan Yellow Sticky Traps (1 unit per specimen, cut in half and rested at soil surface on two sides; With defoliation from yesterday, room air flow seems adequate, after increasing speed of lower fans. Day 125 - n/a Day 126 - n/a Next week, planning to feed the rhizosphere with Compost Tea and continue efforts to control fungus gnat population.

Orange Bud is the best, fuck the rest! Normally i should throw all my other seeds away and grow only this one haha. I am in love with the smell, not Original Orange Bud, a little bit smoother because of the Mimosa. Shows some purple discoloration Edit: wow, the upper buds showed some signs of dark amber, so i did a partial harvest haha. Better to check the trichomes. .. I will leave the rest for 2 weeks and we are good to go! i am happy

AK 47 is not an auto so that was binned. But actually it was good because it was far too cramped. 2 plants tops next time. Added in overdrive as its 2 weeks out from breeders harvest timeline. The GSC really needs to fatten up in these last few weeks, not pleased so far seeing as it is in hydro with perfect ph the whole time. The glue and gorilla cookies are amazing. VERY thirsty averaging 2-3 litres a day of strong 1600 ppm nutes. It’s on a two a day watering cycle now. terpinator, rezin, overdrive, sumo active boost, nirvana added mid week. I was using bud factor X but it’s now so expensive it’s out of production so switched to terpinator. Ppm is a little high in the hydro but no burn or issues so far. Just a few heat stress curls on leaves. Should end up with very sticky buds with all those added.

Woche 10 Langsam kommt sie in Fahrt. Sie streckt sich etwas und auch die Blüte ist deutlich eingeleitet. Mal sehen was da kommt.

May 11th As you can see in the photos, we're really running out of space now. Spiderfarmer suggest going no closer than 30cm in flower for the SF4000, and she has grown so tall that that gap between the main cola and the light board is now 25cm. Uh oh. All I can do is bend her over a little with some string, but so far there's no sign of damage or stress... yet. This is what I get for not topping I guess, but we live and learn. Even once might have been enough to avoid this. I've added a second fan on the other side to compliment the first, blowing upwards to get some air circulating around the main stem. The flowers are really starting to come in now, and although I can't smell much when I'm in there, the smell follows me outside. My clothes pick it up and suddenly I'm getting whiffs of it while writing this entry. Other than the new fan and the quickly diminishing head-space, there's nothing else to report. She's growing beautifully and I couldn't be happier! Fingers crossed as always.
