## Week 6 Update: Strong Vegetative Growth Continues ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’š ### ๐ŸŒฑ Preparing for Flowering ๐ŸŒฑ Welcome back! In Week 6, all three of our plantsโ€”Greenhouse Super Lemon Haze, Humboldt Seed Bubba Kush, and Blueberry Muffinโ€”are still in the vegetative stage. They are thriving, and this extended time in veg is allowing them to develop robust structures, setting the stage for a strong flowering phase later on. --- ### ๐ŸŒผ Vegetative Progress ๐ŸŒผ **Greenhouse Super Lemon Haze ๐ŸŒž** - Growing vigorously, with significant height and branch development. - The plant is responding well to LST, creating a wider and more even canopy. **Humboldt Seed Bubba Kush ๐ŸŒฟ** - Compact and bushy, with strong, dense growth. - Ideal for smaller spaces, this plant is developing a solid foundation for flowering. **Blueberry Muffin ๐Ÿฅž** - Showing lush foliage and thickening stems. - The extended vegetative period is helping to ensure a healthy, resilient plant ready to support heavy buds. --- ### ๐ŸŒฑ Vegetative Techniques ๐ŸŒฑ To maximize growth during this stage, Iโ€™ve focused on several key techniques: - **Low-Stress Training (LST):** Continually training the branches to spread out and create multiple bud sites. - **Topping:** Applied to promote bushier growth and enhance yield potential. - **Defoliation:** Light defoliation to improve air circulation and light penetration to the lower parts of the plants. - **Nutrient Management:** Maintaining a balanced nutrient schedule with an emphasis on nitrogen to support healthy vegetative growth. --- ### ๐ŸŒฟ Looking Ahead ๐ŸŒฟ With all plants still in the vegetative stage, the focus remains on building strong, healthy plants. This extended veg time will pay off when we finally transition to flowering, ensuring that the plants are well-prepared to produce large, high-quality buds. Stay tuned for next week's update as we continue to nurture these plants and prepare for the eventual switch to flowering! Happy growing! ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’š

1/9/2023 - Day 7: did a very light foliar feed with some Pure Protein Dry organic fish fertilizer 15-1-1, fresh aloa, and ThermX-70. Mixed this up for some other plants but figured I'd give the girls a light misting. Other than that I have not done anything else, other than moving the plants back into my 2x4 to veg in here for now. My 4x4 is in my drying room, so temps are lower than I'd like at this stage, so this will be there new home for the next couple weeks. 1/13/2023 - Day 11 veg: All plants are coming along nicely. Cups still have some weight, so I still haven't watered, other than the real light foliar feed the other day. Temps have been about 80ยฐ during the day and 70ยฐ at night, with humidity holding steady around 85%, which is probably the main reason I haven't had to water. So far so good! 1/14/2023 Day 12: noticed a few fungas gnats flying around, so I sprayed everything down with some Dr. Zymes Eliminator. I'm assuming the gnats came from the Earth Box I recently added to the tent for a few more auto's i started. Sprayed the soil and the leaves, so this was the first watering since the seeds were planted.

Finally starting to see some roots underneath and some decent growth up top. Iโ€™ll update again after changing out the reservoirs to see if that helps with some of what I think is a nitrogen toxicity.

Week 12 - Mehn Oh Mehn - The Purple Is Really Starting To Come In Now I Think Last Weekโ€™s Cold Temp Situation Really Unlock The Purple Characteristics. The Scent Is Very High And The Trichomes Are Mostly Clear With A Few Cloudy Showing. I Am No Longer Using Nutrients Because I Will Start The 2 Weeks Now Because You Donโ€™t Want The Weed Getting Over Ripe Thats When The Scent Would Start To Face. So In Two Weeks Time I Will Have Mostly Cloudy With A Few Clear Or A Few Amber With Strong Aurora At Itโ€™s Peak. Tell me What You Guys Think In The Comments.

During week 8 the plants continue to grow nicely and devleop lots of side-branching and leaves. All 12 of my 'Fruity Terp'-babies have a nice healthy green color, which means the BIO NOVA nutrients are working well. I still follow the SOIL-CULTIVATION chart (at half strength of the recommended dose) when I fill up my 'FLEXITANK'-reservoir once a week with 100 liter of tap-water and add the nutrients from BIO NOVA in. The Autopot system with its 6 trays and 12 places (=2 per tray) is able to supply my 12 plants for one week from the 100 liter reservoir. The two SANlight EVO4-120 LED-fixtures are still hanging at 75 cm distance from the top of the plants and are tilted inwards by 11 degrees. This is the recommended way of hanging them and gives the PERFECT light for my Cannabis plants. At this stage I have the SANlight-lamps dimmed to 60% of power (=1 green light on dimmer ON), which is plenty of light and ensures a nice stretch at the beginning of flowering. I cant wait for the first female white hairs to appear on the babies...๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿ˜Ž

Started everything off by picking up 3 clones from a buddy and made a clone of each. I ordered a 3x3x6 spider farmer tent and a SF 2000 LED. In the meantime the ladies will hangout by the window. After cloning I started some LST to make an even canopy. Each original clone takes about 1 liter tap everyday or two with 25% run off and the babies have been getting ten spray bottle pumps of water at their base and about 4 pumps on top everyday. Ph usually stays @ 6.5. Fox farm nutrients came in on the 5th day after bringing the girls home and the grow tent comes tomorrow. I also ordered a Spiderfarmer SF 1000 which I havenโ€™t decided if Iโ€™m going to squeeze in the tent or just make a separate set up. Pretty sure Iโ€™m doing another set up. Currently the set up I have has a 3 inch fan pulling air out the top and 12 inch fan faced directly at the girls. Itโ€™s 2.5โ€™x2x4 I mixed up 4 Liters of tap with a half dose of Foxfarm Big Bloom and Grow Big nutrients. Each big girl got 1.25 liters and the babies shared the rest. Ph was @ 6.2 Ummโ€ฆ this is also my first grow after years of watching others grow Iโ€™ve finally found myself in a good spot to give it a try.

Runtz Automatic - Zamnesia Day 63 - This beautiful girl is less than a week from harvest, so for the past two waterings sessions, she has received just pain RO tap water, pH'd to 6.3. This process is known as "flushing" and it is essential to remove salt built up in the soil and plant. I will flush her over the next few days, allowing her soil to dry back to around 10% before I flush her again - I will do this step three or four times before I harvest. I've also removed a good portion of her fan leaves, to allow any bud site that might have been covered, to get a final weeks worth of direct light. Notes: - she is foxtailing in some parts, but not in others and the PPFD is in a normal range (800-1200) for this stage, so I'm assuming this is a genetic defect!? The Papaya Zoap and Do-Si-Dos, which are directly to her left and right, are a couple of weeks behind, and are not showing signs of foxtailing... Either way, she is just for me, so I'm not too worried about it, if anything, it makes her more beautiful! - her aroma is very sweet with some earthy undertones, very typical for Runtz. - the color on her cola's has changed in places, from green to purple, which is just beautiful! - around 90% of her trichomes are milky with around 2-5% being amber and 5% clear. - the majority of her pistils have turned orange, with some white pistils appearing from new growth only. - I could have started flushing her a few days earlier, but she still looked like she was bulking; that has now stopped.
