Last week was very challenging, two girls got really tall below the white light, while the other two below the blurple spectrum ended up being smaller and bushier, both looking fantastic. Last week I also probably went too far defoliating the shaded smaller girl which stunned it a bit for a day or two but its flowering vigorously again. Although the unexpected stretch which led to uneven light coverage overally the platns are looking solid, smelly and sugary :)

All went smooth this last week. The leaves started turning yellow recently. I'm not sure if it's natural or not, but it seems pretty healthy other than that. Still waiting to fond some amber in the trichomes.

She getting chopped today and hanging the whole plant, just trimming the big fan leaves and putting her into my drying box. She's down, had to split the branches as they were very tightly packed and not much room for air circulation.

Our Buddy Buddha from the start to the end lived its life next to Powell, they were close! Now that the final curtain has been drawn.. or tent flap, it is with a sad heart that we at the "In the Closet with Two Strains" Studio will be saying goodbye. She was never the most impressive plant, kept feeling like she would bloom more but the conditions were never truly right for her. Both plants had their branches sliced at the stem and large leaves removed, this purposely slowed drying down to maximise end flavour. They were both washed in cleaning pools to prepare them for their final journey in the tent. With a sad heart we wish you farewell Buddy, we will see you and Powell soon... IN OUR SMOKE REPORT! Another week, she is growing great and its time to clean the bottom part of the plant. I remove leaves and branches to focus the energy to the top and not waste it on the lower branches.

The grow was a complete success I am so happy and have some great quality product at the end of it. First things first the important bits the weights of each plant and what was done differently on each during the grow, plant colours can be determined by looking at the colour of the pipecleaner hooked over side throughout the grow. Pink - Wet = 548g | Dry = 106g Pink didn't have any defoliation or trimming throughout the grow, she was the untouched girl, looked the biggest at the begining but the other girls overtook in flowering in a big big way! She looked like she got root rot close to the end of the grow potentially, her leaves turned on me very quickly and I harvested her early, she wasn't quite as dry as I liked and during drying more mould occurred on some of the buds, I was left with a good 85g after being very fussy and wipping lots of buds out to protect the rest of the harvest. You can tell she was harvested a little early as doesn't taste as good or smell as good as the rest. Her buds in the jar are more compact as been curing for a week on the rest. Orange - Wet = 416g | Dry = 120g A little bit trimming/defoliation. Stripped of fan leaves on last week for flush. Blue - Wet = 466g | Dry = 121g She was smaller at the start, and I flushed too early as she had a late growth spurt and became massive, think she also developed a late root rot but caught it before any harm was caused to the buds but the leaves are a bit yellow as you can see from the final trimmed product! Also potentially so tall she may of been a bit close to the light and got a little hot. Yellow - Wet = 508g | Dry = 132g The abosolute star of the grow! We grew her originally as a backup in a spare container that is awful for growing, we ended up needing her and transplanted her in the early weeks when we broke one of the other girls. She had a good trim/defoliation throughout grow to ensure she was getting good light coverage. So from this grow I have learnt alot and will be taking the information to try and create a perfect grow next time! My plans are to use perlite to help prevent root rot in the later stages and increase air flow through the soil mix. I will also use a 9cm pot to start the grils off and transplant when they have grown out of them. I will place the scrog net in the tent early on so can use it to train the girls, probably around week 2/3. And I will do a light trim late veg and last couple weeks of flower will get a heavy defoliation. Keeps your eyes open for my pineapple express growing coming soon! Day 40 of flower and I'm pretty impressed. Once again I wish I had trimmed the undergrowth more. I can see light through the canopy so it's far better than last run, but there's going to be a good amount of LARF down there. When I'm done working in the tent the trichromes are visible on my gloves like sand so I'm getting really hopeful it'll be a good washer. As your can see plants One & Five are the quickest of the Pheno's, they received their last watering today & once they dry back 50% of todays water they'll be into 24-48 hours darkness before the chop. As for Plants Two & Four are they Longest running of the Pheno's they will likely receive another watering, & run another 7 days. Plant Three is the one i'm watching closest ! this plant is SHOWSTOPPING... Grape Candies Dipped in Gasoline floods the floor, the moment I open the tent.. This particular pheno may go 7 more days maybe not.. Its very close to the finish line either way... I'm Drooling. The most exciting part about starting to pull plants is the ability for my to take some better isolated Bud Shot photo's ! :)I wish I had the funds to keep upgrading my photography gear but its an expensive hobby...maybe ONE DAY lol!💪 The Boys Club saw a little bit of action this week as well.. a long over due hand job for the jizz monster. So we did some defoliation (finally 😂) of the ladies. killed a few brown stink bugs and a couple caterpillars. Getting them ready for next month when time while start to wind back down to 12 hours a day.

This was a fun week. She continued to stretch and started to show some flower at the end of the week. I popsicled her to clean her up under the canopy. I'm trying to avoid getting a lot of popcorn when she finishes. I don't want anything under the trellis. She is really showing good growth, and will need some defoliation soon.
