🌱 Sour Diesel — Week 8 (Flower Week 3) — Strategic Reset Week ⸻ 🔁 Quick Recap — Where We Are • Genetics: Sour Diesel • Timeline: Week 8 from seed • Flowering: Week 3 • Height: ~60–70 cm (compact structure) • Room Temp: 28°C • RH: 65% • Feed EC: 2.9 • pH: 6.5 (kept above 6.0 intentionally) • Lighting: LED • Action this week: Strategic defoliation This plant is not tall — she’s compact, dense, and structurally tight. Which means airflow and internal light penetration become critical early. And that’s exactly why this week mattered. ⸻ 🍃 The Defoliation — Not Aesthetic. Architectural. This was not cosmetic trimming. It was: • Removing large fan leaves blocking interior bud sites • Cleaning inner congestion • Opening airflow channels • Resetting light distribution across the canopy • Helping the entire room environment (not just this plant) The room needed air — this plant was advanced enough to handle stress. That’s key. Week 3 of flower is the transition window: • Stretch is slowing • Bud sites are set • Energy shifts toward stacking At this stage, a strategic defoliation: • Improves transpiration efficiency • Reduces microclimate humidity pockets • Prevents internal leaf-to-leaf condensation • Encourages bud site activation below the top canopy This was structural architecture. Not haircut vanity. ⸻ 🌡️ 28°C in Flower — “Too Hot?” Let’s Go Deep. People panic when they hear 28°C in flower. But here’s where most growers confuse: 🔥 HPS vs LED Heat Behavior Under HPS: • Radiant heat warms leaf surfaces directly • Leaf temperature often equals or exceeds room temp • 28°C air under HPS can mean 30–32°C leaf temp • That pushes VPD dangerously high Under LED: • Less infrared radiation • Leaf surface temp is typically 1–3°C LOWER than room temp • So at 28°C room temp, leaf temp might be 25–26°C And VPD calculations depend on leaf temperature, not air temperature. ⸻ 🌿 What Is Leaf VPD? VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) measures the difference between: • Moisture inside the leaf • Moisture in the surrounding air But if you calculate VPD using only room temp, you’re missing the real transpiration dynamics. With: • 28°C air • ~25–26°C leaf surface (LED) • 65% RH Leaf VPD sits in a very workable mid-flower zone. Not extreme. Not stress-inducing. Not shutdown territory. We’re driving metabolism, not cooking terpenes. ⸻ 💧 Why 65% RH Isn’t Dangerous Here Context matters: • Good airflow • Opened canopy • Compact but cleaned structure • Early-mid flower (Week 3, not Week 7) At this stage: • Pistils are forming • Bud density is still moderate • Transpiration is active High humidity becomes dangerous when: • Bud mass is dense • Internal airflow is poor • Late flower resin traps moisture We’re not there yet. And we just improved airflow with defoliation. ⸻ ⚡ EC 2.9 — Aggressive but Intentional That EC is strong. But: • Plant is compact, not oversized • Sour Diesel can eat • pH 6.5 keeps availability wide (Ca, Mg, P balance) The key will be: • Watching leaf tips • Monitoring runoff behavior • Watching for clawing or salt stress Right now, if she’s praying and stacking, she’s handling it. ⸻ 🔍 What To Expect Next Week (Flower Week 4) After defoliation: You may see: • Slight pause (24–72 hours) • Increased vertical bud push • Better lower-site activation • More defined pistil clustering • Stronger apical dominance response If recovery is clean: • Buds begin early stacking phase • Internodes tighten • Resin production initiates at bract level If stress appears: • Slight leaf droop • Tip burn acceleration • Reduced upward leaf angle But based on structure and timing — this looks calculated, not reactive. ⸻ 🧠 Why This Week Matters Long-Term This week determines: • Airflow pattern for late flower • Mold resistance later • Bud density uniformity • Final trim efficiency • Light-to-bud conversion efficiency This wasn’t about now. So far so good. Like how big the leaves are getting. Slowly introducing more nutrients to these babies. We've ordered a bag of CO2. Can't wait till it arrives. 🙏🤗 Day09 - Foliar spray. Nothing special. So far so good. Day11(May06) all good so far. Both plays at 7cm tall. Day13(May-08) did LST on both plants. So far so good. Day-14(May-09) nothing to report. Additional Notes: - Making 1 liter batches with water which i give every day about 100ml. - Using Alg-A-Mic 0.5 ml/l as a foliar spray.

Week is going great everyone. The canopy allowed all the plants to green up. I guess they were getting sun/heat stressed and it caused them to yellow. At first I thought it was over watering, but not watering did nothing. I'm actually watering a bit on the heavy side this week. I'm also thinking it's about time to add some worm castings. 1 girl identified on DAY 57 (she's tall and leafy, has a little red on one of the lower leaves' stem). I'm going to bend her a little and have her angled across the pot. She has one companion that hasn't been identified. 3 males identified as of DAY 63 --all three tall--one thicker than the others--all 3 taken down--great roots--orange danky aroma--not planning on keeping males this year--but it still hurts a little to take a plant down. :-( Thank you to all the likes and everyone else viewing. Hello everyone 😎 Week 6 of flower for the Amnesia Zkittlez🍭 Only 1 plant left then finito✔️ Very nice smell super sweet🤤 The buds are super sticky🔥

Add slightly nutrients. Day Nr 16 doing topping. Nutrient tank with capacity 10L turning little bit in alkaline, at the beginning I added 3ml ph down and reach 6.4 pH, than now it’s inccrise to 6.6 on 5 days time. Same I can telling about TDS. At the beginning it was 350 ppm, but now it’s step up on 400ppm without adding nothing. Day 18 start moving out new branches from places around where was topping. Keep watering with 1.5L with slight nutrients dosage… Day 20 we can see how flower keep moving ahead after topping days ago…

Cut the net down now as all stems hardened in place. Had a reshuffle and as the Dos Si Dos much taller i have moved lights to top and propped my other 3 up on boxes to level the height more. Really pleased with this plant so nice and short but spread with lots of tops, smells really nice cant wait to see how this fattens up. Had to do a little late trimming to open up bottom just removing little bits and leaves well under the lights. Done this mainly to help with the airflow and just to give plants little more space as i suffered a little rot on my first grow as was cramped and struggled with humidity however got good dehumidifier and plenty of airflow so fingers crossed it stays well away this time. Overall plant looks really strong and healthy cant wait to see how these last 4 to 5 week turn out.

The little ones are developing well, unfortunately there are a few minor nutrient problems in the direction of Calmag with the Morello Cherries and also slight signs of this with the TerpyZ Punch. I counteracted this with a foliar spray. The pH value of the hydrosystem has unfortunately dropped a little to 5.5, which I have equalised with ph up from Plagron. The plants are currently getting light between 800-900 ppfd and as soon as the stretch starts, l'll increase this to 1000 ppfd. Both ladies are slowly starting to smell.

Bellissime,abbondanti e cariche di infiorescenze resinose e profumate! Dimensioni grandi e qualità altissima! È stata una settimana bella e calda e ormai siamo in estate quindi continuano a riempirsi di infiorescenze molto resinose e dure. Ogni varietà è una vera soddisfazione! Grazie a tutte le banche dei semi che hanno creato queste varietà magnifiche! Per alcune manca poco alla raccolta mentre altre ci vuole più di una settimana di attesa anche due settimane. Sono felice, bravissimi tutti.

Lookin good, no more herms so far as I’ve tightened things up hopefully that’s the last of them for good. I installed a 4Inch AC infinity fan and filter as an intake so I have been able to close all of the vents. At this point the leaf strip has proven to be a solid method, I have nothing to compare bud size at this point but just the extra space it opened up is a plus. I’m sure the lowers will be a little more firm and the plants obviously haven’t had to be fed as often as usual so its saving time, water and nutrients. The added microbes have also allowed me to keep my ppm around 1000 instead of 1080ish without any sign of deficiencies. The Mandarin cookies x Dionysus has a little cal-mag issue but that was a trait from the mother which out of 10+ grows all had a cal-mag deficency. Tag 15 Mädels gehen in dieWachstumsphase 0,5l Wasser mit einem ph wert von 6,0 Licht bei 45cm Abstand mit 60% veg mod Automaticflow macht als Substrat Dünger bis jetzt einen guten Eindruck. Tag 18 Jetzt gehen sie in die Stretch und Wachstums Zeit, meine Lieblingszeit! Da ich diesen Dünger ( Automaticflow Hybrid Substrat) zum ersten Mal benutze, bin ich gespannt wie er performen wird . Licht ist jetzt auf max. ( 65w veg mod ) mit 60cm Abstand Wasser alle 3 Tage 0,5l, ph 6,0

We are full go on flower for the girls. The Purple Punch buds are looking great and smell fantastic already. My inexperience growing shows in the fact that I should have topped the tallest ones one or two more times. I’ll watch early intermodal growth in future grows. I appreciate any thoughts or comments.

*Disclosure: The mother has was flipped into flower 3 weeks ago - Veg weeks now are only for the clones* 03/08 - (M) - Since transplant into 4x4 she has doubled in size and cleared pre-flower accordingly - Nute feeds increased from once to twice a day - One week will be only nutes the following will be clean water. 03/08 - (C ) All clones are rocking out accordingly - All 7 were topped this week - I will only top once and let them run as is - slight increased nute feed for them to provide supplement for the topping - currently still in nursery (2x2). 03/12 (M) - The mother is just coming out of pre-flower and rocking accordingly since moving into the 4x4 - offsetting feeds (3 days - 1 feed every 12 hrs for 1 minute - 3 days no feed) the offsetting feeds seems to be giving me positive results in balancing wet and dry. 03/12 (C) - The clones are coming along accordingly as well - Since topping the off shoots are coming in nicely - all 7 have been moved into the 3x3

Smells likes Candy and Orange, really good strain, and hits really hard.
