This strain was a breeze to grow. The purple phenotype is hands down some of the best herb I have ever tried. Well, this strain is surely flowering for a long time, it's still stretching. I wonder if it will stop stretching and start fattening the buds this week... Anyhow, one of the reasons why I don't defoliate much is because the plant does that by itself. When the lower leaves receive almost no light (because all the light is blocked by the thick growing canopy) they start to send their nutrients to the top. When they are donez they just fall off on their own. You see, leaves are like solar panels AND nutrient reserves! Just make sure this process is slow and the leaves that receive light are still very healthy and green. If many leaves are falling or if they fall really fast you gotta make sure is not a deficiency or nutrient lockout! ... Again just water your plant with bloom formula (and a bit of calmag) to an EC that allows you to maintain the plant heathly and the runoff not to high (in my case 1mS/cm). Remember to alternate nutrients and pHd tap water. That's pretty much all left to do from here to harvest. Obviously if you see something wrong try to correct it. Day 66 update. I dropped something on my plant. It bended one branch very badly and severed some leaves and a bud :( Well, accidents happen. Luckily cannabis is a very very resilient plant, one might be surprised at how much this plants can take. Anyhow, taped everything together loosely, pulled the most bent branches upwards with a thread and I will wait for it to heal... If everything goes well, this branches should be even stronger than the others. Let's hope that's my fate! Update day 69. Although I have been feeding with 1.0 mS/cm once, then pHd water then feed again, the run off from today measured 3.0 mS/cm ! It's climbing still. I flushed again, until the runoff was at 1.5 mS/cm. I think I understand what happened, my theory is that the plant needs a lot more water now, but not as many more nutrients. So it takes the 2.5 daily liters of water, but it might only eat the nutrients in 1lt of water, so the rest stays on the roots and accumulates, raising the EC of the soil. So far, by checking EC on the soil once every week or two I have avoided nutrient toxicity and lockout. I think there are two options, either lowering the concentration of nutrients I feed it (so 2.5 lts a day will contain less dissolved nutrients), or spacing out the feedings with more intermediate waterings of plain water. I think I am going to go with the former, next week I will try feeding an EC of 0.8 mS/cm on 3L then tap water and so on from next week on. I prefer to underfeed than to overfeed, which is what I recommend for other boobs, it's better to have some yield than to risk killing the plant. We will get better with time...

Woche 13 ging nur zwei Tage. Für meinen Geschmack war die Pflanzen an Tag 58 ausreichend reif. Zuvor wurden ja schon die Headbuds geerntet, da es kleine Opfer an den Pilz gab. Die letzten Tage verbrachten die Pflanzen bei 48h dauerhafter Beleuchtung und abschließenden 12h Dunkelheit. Ob eines von beiden einen positiven Effekt hatte lässt sich nicht klären aber kaputt gehen, kann davon nicht viel und ich kann Argumente für beides nachvollziehen, von daher kombinieren wir mal beide Varianten. Alles in allem war es jeden Tag eine Freude das Zelt zu öffnen, zu sehen wie die Blümchen sich entwickeln und sich von ihrem Duft betören zu lassen. Da die Gesetzeslage es so möchte, werden nur 250g für den Konsum im Cannatrol getrocknet und gecured. Somit sollten wir rechnerisch bei 50g Trockengewicht auskommen. Der Rest landet in einem Wurmkomposter, um zumindest die aufgebrachte Energie nicht ganz zu verlieren. Bleibt Sauber! 💚🍀🌍

Skunk Special, a.k.a. Red Skunk, stems from the infamous Red Skunk clones that conquered the Netherlands in the late eighties/ early nineties. Ferry started working on the Skunk Special in the nineties. The Skunk Special is the result of several S1 lines inbred with a 25% of Automatic. The current line was selected over several generations in order to retain the right and essential Skunk features, yet creating a fast flowering strain. Showing almost no variety between the individuals, this is among the most stable and homogenous strains since it was selected from a few thousand plants. This Skunk Special is a powerful and strong plant with thick, solid stems, creating massively tight buds during the flowering stage. The Skunk Special has gorgeous looking red pistils that give this plant an amazing bag appeal. Skunk Special is suitable for indoor, greenhouses and outdoors if grown in temperate and/or the warm Mediterranean climate. It is a massive yielding outdoor behemoth with amazing trichome production. The smell can be described as extremely pungent and citral with the classic cat-piss smell of the old-school Skunk. It is a very clean smoke. A Skunky and slightly sweet taste that is pleasantly acidic towards at the end. A mildly relaxing body high that causes a tingling sensation combined with a very pleasant head high.

I am not happy with this strain, but I blame myself, I dried it to quick, allowed a lot of airflow in the dry closet when I should of kept the airflow as minimal as possible, slower you dry the bud, the better the result when it it comes to bud size, aesthetics, aroma, smoothness and when smoking it, the taste on your pallet will be fantastic. However I am hopeful when I bake this strain, I will be amazed 😇

Plant still bulking out with clear and milky trichomes. Plant receiving water at the same frequency. May have started the flushing process a week too early.

Eternity Grow Cup - Week 9 Veg Update We are stepping into Week 9 of vegetation, and things are getting exciting! The plants are thriving—compact, bushy, and growing beautifully. This week, we introduced a SCROG (Screen of Green) net, an essential tool for maximizing yield and optimizing plant structure. Let’s dive deep into the why and how of scrogging: Why Install a SCROG Net Now? Maximizes Light Exposure: The net allows even light distribution across all branches, ensuring every bud site gets the optimal amount of light. Controls Plant Height: By guiding the branches through the net, we keep the canopy even and prevent excessive vertical growth. Enhances Airflow & Reduces Mold Risks: Spreading the plant out increases air circulation, reducing humidity pockets and minimizing risks of mold and pests. Increases Yield: More bud sites exposed to light mean higher-quality flowers and greater overall production. For now, we’re still not using the under-canopy lights, though they will come into play soon. The ICL 300 is positioned strategically, and we will likely move them around as needed later. For now, the focus is on structuring the plants and ensuring they fill out the available space properly. Optimizing Airflow - The Vortex Effect Air circulation is crucial for plant health, and this week, we’ve optimized airflow by positioning the fans to create a vortex effect: Fan Positioning: Each fan is placed at the tent corners, pointing in different directions, ensuring dynamic airflow instead of direct wind hitting the plants. Benefits of a Vortex System: Reduces hot spots and evenly distributes CO₂. Strengthens stems by creating a natural resistance. Prevents stagnant air, reducing mold and pest risks. The extraction system is powered by an AeroFan, connected to the AeroFan Smart Remote FRC1, currently running at 60% speed. This setup efficiently manages humidity and temperature while maintaining optimal air exchange. Current Environmental Conditions & Feeding For now, we’re maintaining the same water schedule and nutrient regimen. The environmental conditions remain stable: Temperature: Holding steady at ideal growth levels. Relative Humidity: Balanced to encourage healthy transpiration. PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density): Kept at optimal levels to support vigorous vegetative growth. CO₂ Levels: Elevated but within safe limits, promoting faster growth. The plants are filling the space beautifully, but we know that the flip to flower is approaching soon! Hi Growmies, This was her last week of heavy feeding. I have already decreased the nutes for the coming week and will probably start flushing her the week after. So that she should be finished by the end of the contest pretty much. Regardless of her age the rootball has shrunk only a little bit. I have also taken her out of the scrog to enable the canopy to open up further and allow more light penetration for the maturation of the buds. This worked actually very well, as the weight of the buds pull the plant open. Thanks for stepping by and until next week!

8/30 Rained yesterday and pretty much all night. Plants looked happy this morning. I'm thinking about feeding today or tomorrow. The late flowering special kush doesn't have much longer and it will be done. I'm going to need to do another treatment for the thrips. Nights are so cold that I think they aren't a major problem. No signs of septoria either. No signs of ANY molds or mildew. Even where I took the pillar out but I removed a lot. I am noticing (especially on the pink kush and the special kush in the back) the wierd "top hat" lower buds like I previously did. I don't think it's the chipmunk. It's like they eat fresh buds and leave the top there. I think it might be earwigs but I haven't seen ANY. Birds have been keeping my garden pretty clean. Almost everytime I walk down there it's like a flock of birds takes off lol. I was watching the little finches all perched on my cage. I've seen them dart in and grab a snack. It's pretty cool how it works. Symbiotic relationship. I feed the birds amd they help keep my garden pest free. EDIT: Went to check the girls around 430. It seems like everytime I see the flowers they've swelled in size. Especially the natural mk ultra. Everything is really coming together. Pink kush is behind but it's starting. I'm getting lots of fall colors but I'm losing lots of leaves too. I wouldn't have defoliated as good as I have if I hadn't had problems. I thought the plants were done getting taller or stretching but after this rain they ALL seem taller. The buds are swelling as well. I'm on the home stretch with the early special kush. Few more weeks. Everything looked amazing tonight. I wanted to take some pictures but I left my phone. Smell is greatly increasing.

10 Woche, BW 4. Die White Truffle is ordentlich gewachsen, produziert schon eineges an Pistillen und Trichome. Ist die höchste und breiteste von allen, glaube 2x toppen wäre hier ne gute Lösung gewesen um sie besser auf gleicher höhe zu halten, is aber nur 1 Trieb der hier etwas über"trieben" hat🤣. Ansonsten gehts ihr gut, oben die paar Blätter hab ich leider etwas beschädigt beim rein und raus is die an ner Gelbtafel hängengeblieben, aber die steck es easy weg.
