August 23: Just finishing up about 36 hours of darkness, then I'm going to wash the buds, then hang them. Harvesting a bit early due to time constraints but it looks good. The smell is very dank, not a tropical skittles smell, much more like wood glue as I've seen mentioned in other reviews, although I'm starting to occasionally catch a sweeter tropical scent as well. I wanted to leave it a little longer. There were still a lot of white hairs when I started the dark period, but a lot of them seem to have developed into swollen calyxes so I'm pretty happy. I was a little worried they were making seed pods after last time, but I broke one open and all that was inside was red hairs. I'm going to keep an eye on the RH while they're drying and get them into jars and try to wait as long as possible before I start sampling. I can tell this is one of those batches that's going to get better and better if left alone for a couple months. Just did the wash, did 1.25 cups of 34% food grade H202 and a squeezed lemon in a 5 gal bucket. Another bucket of just water to rinse. Then I had a fan on it while hanging in the sunlight from a skylight in the bathroom for 30 min, then put the fan further back and on oscillate, then turned it down an hour later. Left it in there for a few hours, then hung it in the grow tent with everything removed except an oscillating fan, pointed away from the buds. I have the whole plant hanging in the middle of the tent and the tent is holding at 60% rh. Next run I'm going to do 2 buckets and only top once. I might leave them a bit longer in veg too to maximize the height in my grow space, and I'll get a proper 500w bulb instead of continuing to run 1000w bulbs at 50% to lower the heat a bit. The weather will be cooler and I'll only run one air stone in each bucket which should help with res temp. I'll probably foil-wrap the buckets again as well. I should be able to get another run done by the end of the year. I have a White Widow fem seed I've been waiting to use but I'm not sure what else I want to grow yet. Maybe Granddaddy Purp. I'll take some micro pics of the trichomes this week and start curing, and I'll post a proper review in a couple weeks. Happy growing everyone! August 24: I took it out of the tent to inspect. No mold or mildew. The middle of some buds are still pretty wet. I'll keep an eye on it. Wet weight on the stem is 158 grams/ 5.5oz. I harvested a couple branches last week and hung them up. I just ground up one of the buds, left it overnight and vaped some today. There was a bit of Chemdawg Tangerine in the grinder already but overall I got a lot of thick vapour, instant effects, and a really great tropical taste. I busted out the microscope camera and I realized I had a couple buds that fell off before I washed the plant in the H202, and a couple buds that came off in the washing process. It doesn't look like washing the buds took off any of the trichomes. I do seem to find less debris in the buds, not that there was much there before. The trichs look great. Just a light toasting of amber. The washed bud actually seems more dry than the unwashed bud. August 25: there's a real chlorophyll smell coming from the drying room today, it was much terpier yesterday. Leaves are getting crunchy, stems are still fully bendy. I ended up taking it down in the evening. The drying room rh dropped from 60% to 55% and the buds were starting to look too dry based on my last grow. I put it all in a paper bag for the night and I'll put it in jars tomorrow morning. Broken down most of the way it came out to 48-49 grams. From the bud structure, I definitely feel like it would have benefitted from more grow time if I didn't have to travel. More to come. August 26 - the edges of the buds are getting really crispy and the buds are getting tighter. I checked the paper bag earlier and it was 65-70%. I got the impression it was time to put it into jars. I'll keep the lids off for a bit.

Couldn't help but take lots of photos this week.. Nuggets are really starting to fill out and the white hairs are beginning to brown. Lots of new trichomes without heads and a few have turned milky. Thought this would be done by now and I really need the space for my other girl thats currently stretching due to lack of light. Considering that and also not wanting to harvest prematurely, I'm trying to decide when to start the 7-14 day flushing period, any advice would be HUGELY appreciated. Thanks for stopping by 😎

DAY 6 WEEK 2 - FLOWER Hello fellow growers, I'm thrilled to report that my current grow is progressing smoothly as I enter Week 2 Day 6. The plant is showing promising signs of healthy growth with no apparent deficiencies detected thus far. However, I've encountered some peculiar symptoms with the leaves; it seems like there's some tissue tearing or ripping occurring. Despite thorough inspections, I'm confident in stating that pests are not the culprit, as I haven't observed any other signs they typically leave behind. It's a bit perplexing, but I'm keeping a close eye on it. One aspect I've been experimenting with in this grow is the use of an ExHale CO2 bag. While I had hoped for a noticeable increase in CO2 levels, I haven't seen a significant improvement. After careful consideration, I suspect that the lack of a sealed environment is hindering its effectiveness. Humidity issues prevent me from sealing the environment completely, which likely results in the CO2 being dispersed rapidly. For now, I've decided to forgo using the CO2 bags, but I'm open to revisiting them in the future if I can establish a sealed environment. Looking ahead to the start of Week 3 of the flowering stage, I plan to introduce PK boost additives to enhance potassium intake. This strategic addition aims to support robust flower development and overall yield. Despite the minor setbacks, I remain absolutely thrilled with the progress of this run. With approximately five more weeks to go, I'm eagerly anticipating the taste and aroma of the final product. I appreciate all the support and encouragement from fellow growers. on day 21 of flower the 2 lady have got a new Haircut. Also some composttea on day 22 of flower. Light hits the plants with around 850 PPFD. Both plants look very similar (same leaf shape and structure), but one is about 15% larger than her sister. They both look healthy and vigorous.

As you can see, LST works well, Gorilla Strawberry tolerates LST very well, in almost all plants I managed to keep the branches at the same height I made a minor defoliation of large leaves. The rest I slide under the twigs every day so that they do not make a shadow. Due to a high wind that lasted 2 days and LST one of my Gorilla Strawberry broke in half and holds on about 20% of the stem. I was thinking about trying the method HST and I will remove the cracked part of the plant, but I did not have the heart to cut it off, so I decided to use the patch that I carry with me in the first aid kit if I cut myself. From two twigs and a patch I made a primitive splint. The next day I took an insulating tape with me into the forest and once again wrapped the splint for better strength. And as you can see, the plant lives and thrives :) Next, I want to show you the pest Leaf Minner, which makes tunnels in the leaves and then pupates on the underside of the leaf I tear off the leaf or crush the pest Next, I would like to show you a very useful beetle, a ladybug that eats, for example, aphids, in the photo you see a pupated ladybug larva, do not kill it !!!

Another Veg week down and heading into flowering... 'Good Girl' is looking great. She has good color and pre-flower development so I'm really happy with where she's at since she's basically on par with the Euphoria as far as size and shape. 'Problem Child' however is... Well you guessed it, having problems😜 I made a short video this week to show you what's going on. If anyone has any recommendations that would be appreciated, otherwise I'll give her more dolomite lime and some trace minerals to see what that does, since she seemed to respond well to the Lime before. I would just like to get her sorted since this is a crucial time. It's very frustrating since both of these plants are the same strain raised in the same soil given the same nutrients and the same environmental conditions and the difference between them😩 I think more than one factor may be causing the problem. She did get a little heat stressed early on just like Euphoria, but unlike Euphoria she never quite fully recovered from it. Some might argue that it's nute burn but I don't think so given her chlorosis. I think it's likely a nute ratio that's off, and after doing a little research it may very well be a Potassium Deficiency. Therefore adding kelp meal would be a good bet and I was already planning on starting to add in molasses now that we're switching over to flower. I just hope I can get her figured out and into a decent groove so that she'll produce some nice flowers🙏

Hey everyone :-) I am so glad that all the clones are looking great again because the pump failed overnight in the last few days and everyone hung their heads the next day 😔. Once again you notice how fast it can go as soon as the electronics fail. But everything was fixed in time and, as always, I have all the parts available for replacement. They look great again and stretch their heads towards the light :-). It remains exciting to see which lady stays in the end because, as mentioned in the last diary, I will only leave a single clone to train him to a single bush with topping and ScrOG ☺️. July 6: looking good starting a new week. In a few days out I’ll add another scrog layer to space out the 16 colas. July 7: draped a piece of scrog netting across the plant and exposed the growth tips while tucking in the fan leaves. Net is not tied down as I realize it doesn’t need to be. Will add another final scrog net in about two weeks. Hot weather forecast for next two weeks which is pretty much perfect timing. 👍👍 July 10: hot last three days (32 C) with a super high overnight low last night of nearly 20 C. Added a second scrog layer to separate out the growth tips a bit further. Adding loose scrog net layers seems to be working quite well while maintaining the easy portability that I need to chase sunlight hours in my yard. I was away with a lot of work outside the city. but I have returned. She will be healthy. With the first day of the first week in her third week of flowering, she will be a little sweet. She will be a citrus with a normal smell of 59 cm and that is for the time being.
