Groeiverslag: Purple Mints (Paradise Seeds)
Week 1 bloei (dag 35-42 vanaf ontkiemen, eerste week na switch naar 12/12)
Totaal week: ~week 5 vanaf zaad
Opstelling: 3 × 11 liter stoffen potten, Biobizz Light-Mix, BestVA 415W LED (op ~40-45 cm hoogte, 12/12 schema, dimmer op ~70-80% voor bloei-start), EC 1,4-1,6, pH 6,2-6,5, temperatuur 24-26°C dag / 19-21°C nacht, RV 45-55%
Algemene groei & stretch
Hoogte: 38-44 cm vanaf de grond (gemiddeld ~41 cm, +9 cm sinds week 4)
Aantal knoppen: 8-10 sets + top per plant
Stamdikte: 11-13 mm
Rek: Minimaal tot matig (~25-35% groei), zoals verwacht bij deze indica-dominante Purple Mints (75% indica). De planten blijven compact en bossig – geen wilde stretch, perfect voor de 11L potten en versterkte LST-structuur.
Kleur: Diep donkergroen, met bij twee planten nu duidelijk paarse gloed op bladstelen en nieuw blad (anthocyanine slaat door door de bloeiswitch + koelere nachten). De derde plant blijft nog grotendeels groen, maar toont wel paarse hints op de onderkantjes.
Bloemontwikkeling (week 1 bloei)
Pre-flowers ontwikkelen zich snel: kleine witte stampers exploderen bij alle knooppunten, knoppen beginnen te vormen (calyxen zwellen op). Nog geen echte knoppen, maar de sites worden beschadigd en hariger. Geur intenser: zoete munt + fruitige (aardbei/banaan) ondertoon, met een lichte prikkelende/skunky hint – typisch Purple Mints die al ruikt als je erlangs loopt.
Bladontwikkeling
Bladeren gezond en donkergroen, suikerblaadjes groeien mee en worden plakkerig. Geen tekorten, geen verbranding of gele randen – fanbladeren blijven strak. Nieuwe groei focust nu op bloemvorming op plaats van hoogte.
Wortelontwikkeling
Wortels nog actief in de 11L potten, maar groei vertraagt licht nu in bloei. Witte wortels vullen de pot goed, drainagegaten tonen gezonde activiteit. Geen stress – de grotere potten helpen bij de voedingshongerige fase.
Water & voeding deze week
4-5x bewaterd met 1,8-2,2 liter per plant (25-30% aangepast aan hogere drinkbehoefte in bloei)
Hesi bloei-schema gestart:
– Hesi Bloom Complex 5 ml/L
– Hesi Boost 2 ml/L (2x per week)
– Hesi PowerZyme 2 ml/L
– Hesi SuperVit 1 druppel/10L
EC: 1.5-1.6, pH bijgesteld naar 6.3
Plant drinkt meer sinds de overstap; geen overvoedingssignalen – alles opgenomen en strak.
Training / vorming
LST/scrog-net aangespannen: alle hoofdtakken (7-9 per plant) op gelijke hoogte gehouden. Met minimale stretch is de kroon mooi plat en vaak gevuld – ideale lichtpenetratie onder de BestVA 415W (volledig spectrum, Samsung LM301B diodes). Geen nieuwe training meer; alleen bijsturen als nodig.
Samenvatting week 1 bloei
De overstap naar 12/12 verliep perfect – minimale rek, snelle stamperontwikkeling en vroege geurboost bij alle drie de planten. De Purple Mints-genetica schittert al: compacte structuur, kleurvariatie en voedingshonger die goed wordt opgevangen door Hesi Bloom + Boost en de 11L potten.
De BestVA 415W (gedimd maar krachtig) dekt het trio uitstekend in ~120x120 cm gebied. Verwacht in week 2-3 bloei gevormde toppen en meer trichomen. Nog ~7-8 weken tot oogst (totaal 55-60 dagen bloei).
Dit trio wordt vet – drie compacte, kleurrijke beestjes onder goed licht!

Depuis quelques temps je ne vois pas beaucoup ma culture car j'ai déménagé et qu'elle ne se trouve plus chez moi. Je passe la voir uniquement pour l'arroser, environ une fois par semaine. J'ajoute du Bioenhancer une fois sur 2.
Malgré mon absence les plantes m'ont l'air d'être en bonne forme. Pourvu que ça dure ! ❤️️🤞
Intensité de la FC3000: 90%
Ventilation : Extracteur mars hydro 6 pouces avec filtre à charbon puissance : 4/10 (24h/24h) + 3 ventilateurs à l'intérieur ( ON 8/24h). ils s'activent à un horaire différent.

Plants look,smell, and feel amazing. I think they've put on most of their weight now and the buds are starting to get really cloudy! I started the slightly older plant in the front on her flush at the end of this week. I believe the one in the back seems to be a week or 2 behind.

se ve un incremento en tricomas, ya el olor esta muy penetrante. ademas algunos brazos se doblaron lo que provoco que las amarrara para poder sostenerlas. en la proxima semana se sacara todo nutriente que contenga nitrogeno, dando ya el engorde final.

Learned my old ph meter was bad, got a new one and found the runoff ph at 7.6! Even with my tea at a ph of 5.4. No wonder she looks deficient in a few things. Going to add a topdress of DTE soil acidifier with a little extra sulfer added in next watering to see if I can't get her into a better range. Let's see what happens!

Day 88: took some buds from her today actually! I have no smoke 😆 but she tasted decent even from a microwave fast dry, not even a little bit of hay just like weed with some undertones. Very wei😂😂😂😂

4/28/21 week 7 of veg 8 of life. Plant is getting to be a beast. Last week ended up topping more then I planned, and from the looks of things I will probably top at least one more time. I am going to up the nutrients to 550 ppm this week. I am also planning on giving recharge 2x per week. I am increasing irrigation to 4 gallons per. She is drinking about a gallon every 2.5 days.
4/29/21 gave final trim under canopy before flower cycle. Plant looks like a table 😃
4/30/21 I topped 4 more spots to keep my canopy even. I harvested my Super Skunk (you really need to try this strain) so now big Oggie has her own tent. For now she is under 1200w Growstar (250w actual) LED. She looks like she will engulf my tent.
5/1/21 gave 2 quarts recharge
5/2/21 backed nutrients down to 450ppm plant showing a little nute burn on a leaf.
5/3/21 set up self irrigating system. 8 gallons (holds max 14 gallons) water ph 6.01. With nutrients at 470ppm. Plant is now irrigating itself 2x per day 15 minutes each watering. Will be doing daily checks on ph/nutrients.

1 week into flowering
It’s definitely not the biggest one🌱⬇️. And yet, I’m satisfied so far. The weather has been really bad again. Barely 15 degrees during the day and well below 10 degrees at night. The side shoots are still growing very slowly. Let’s see what happens next week. The forecast calls for much sunnier and warmer weather. 🌻☀️

Last Sunday I increased the nutes so that the ppm was on the higher level (600-625) as the feeding schedule showed. Dec 9th I started to see some lime green (video) leaves on new growth. The ppm would go up mostly & down slightly, but the lime green spread & eventually turned yellow (last pic from today). I did a water change the other day & lowered the ppm/nutes to around 575-580 range. I've been reading around that this might be a sulfur deficiency? Some suggested adding Cal-mag. Today I added 2 ml more of Cal-mag & snipped some of the darker fan leaves that had some damage. I ordered epsom salt, waiting for it to arrive (tomorrow). Any other suggestions/diagnoses are welcomed! 😊

Great grow, great strain and a nice harvest. Only difference I would make is having more space and light for her as I had quiet a few strains running along side her. Well done BARNEYS farm. Thanks for the opportunity to grow her.

Leider kam es kurz nach beginn der Blüte wieder zu Mangelerscheinungen wodurch sicherlich noch etwas Potential liegen gelassen wurde. Stand jetzt bin ich mir noch nicht sicher was genau der Fehler war jedoch bin ich in der Hoffnung das der nächste Grow nochmals besser wird. Für meinen 2ten richtigen Grow bin ich trotzdem sehr zufrieden.

Wirklich sehr nice wenn man einfach gar nichts machen muss, ich öffne das Zelt teilweise nicht einmal mehr…
Beste Leben wenn alles automatisiert wurde und man nur den Wasser Tank mal alle 1-2 Wochen füllen muss…
Selbst das Osmose Wasser ist perfekt da dolomitkalk in der Erde angereichert ist und die Pflanzen laufen nicht auf Mangel an Mineralien… einfach super einmal mit super spoil aus einander gesetzt, jetzt gar nichts mehr machen 😆
Und stecken trotzdem top mit super Harz Besatz, UVB und Top Light scheint auch nicht zu verbrennen, es soll ich sagen bin durch und durch zufrieden

Week 19, and it's like my plants have hit a leafy plateau – the growth seems to have slowed down, or maybe I've just gotten used to their leafy antics. But hey, who needs fast growth when you've got an overwhelmingly beautiful smell wafting out of your tent?
When I open the tent, it's like stepping into a fragrant paradise. The smell is sweet, strong, and just downright heavenly. Is this how heaven smells? If so, sign me up for eternity in a leafy paradise!
But it's not all sweet smells and smooth sailing. I've noticed a slight discoloration of some leaves, and I suspect it might be due to a pH issue. Time to put on my plant detective hat and make some adjustments. I'm switching to feeding only pH water for the rest of the grow, hoping to nip this issue in the bud (pun intended).
So here's to Week 19 – a week of heavenly smells, pH detective work, and the ongoing adventure of growing these amazing plants. Cheers to my green companions – may they continue to delight the senses and grow into leafy wonders! 🌿🌺

Привет, мои дорогие друзья. Все хорошо у халкберри, отметила круглую дату в 50 дней. Одуваны опухают вовсю и они покрыли весь куст своими огромными стигмами, ожидаю от неё серьёзного результата. А я ей в этом помогу. Спасибо за ваше внимание. Я надеюсь, что Халкберри будет лидером этого забега, она младшая, а потому и забота о ней чуть большая😄👍🏻
28.10.21. Халкберри 53 дня от рождения. Цифры ппм и пш дренажа показали, что девчонка начала активно кушать на цветение. Все как по учебнику. Отличная салышка👍🏻

D28 - The first day in the fourth week of veg. She is now 18 cm tall, and I'll start doing some low-stress training this week. I trimmed the cover crop today as it was a bit all over the place. I gave her around 1.2-liters of the compost tea I started brewing yesterday, and for once, I remembered to check the pH and adjust it to 6.5. Yay, progress!
D31 - Today, I finally got around to doing some low-stress training. I should have done it ages ago, and I don't even have a good reason for not having done it, but hey, better late than never. Right?
D32 - She is bouncing back nicely from the training yesterday. Starting to smell a bit so I got the active carbon filter installed.
D34 - The last day in the fourth week of veg and the final day as she is in flower now. I did some more LST, as well as defoliation and cover crop trim to increase airflow.

With the very good weather here tnhe plants managed to almost double in height in 7 days time.
Due to rain i didn't have to water the plants manually.
Everything looks well. Sometimes i have to remove some aphids but a few of them won't hurt the plant that much.
I sprayed the plants with Cannacure hope it helps a bit.

Buds are fattening by the day :). Some of the pistols are translucent purple which is really cool. Cant wait to test photoperiod vs autoflower
