The temperatures peaked at a jaw-dropping 39°C, and even the nights offered zero relief, staying at a sticky 26°C minimum. It’s been an intense endurance test for an outdoor grow! The Daily Hydration & Feeding Strategy: 💧 To keep them from turning into crisp, dry twigs, I had to switch to a strict every-single-day watering schedule. Missing even one day in that kind of heat wave would have been catastrophic. Amazingly, the ladies are showing incredible resilience—they haven’t displayed any noticeable signs of distress or major issues so far. Development is moving along beautifully, though I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there won't be any delayed fallout from the extreme heat stress. Nutrient-wise I'm feeding them at about 75% of the recommended dosing plan to keep them happy without overdoing it in this heat. The Strain Breakdown: 🌿 Lemon Cherry Cookies Auto: This girl is absolutely crushing the game right now. She is already stacking up some seriously decent, chunky buds, and the aroma is getting beautifully pronounced and loud! Every breeze brings a sweet whiff of what's to come. 😉 Amnesia Haze Auto: She has turned into an absolute monster! She’s gotten incredibly big and wide, taking full advantage of her outdoor space. You can definitely see that Sativa heritage shining through—judging by her progress, she’s definitely going to take a bit longer to cross the finish line compared to the quicker, Indica-dominant ladies like the Lemon Cherry Cookies. Bruce Banner Auto & Banana Purple Punch Auto: These are the two shorter ladies of the group, but what they lack in raw height, they make up for in sheer health. Size aside, they are doing exceptionally well, looking super vibrant, healthy, and stacking their own flowers nicely. All in all, I’m incredibly proud of how these genetics are handling a brutal summer. Now that the worst of the heatwave seems to be behind us, I can’t wait to watch these buds really start to swell!

Well into flowering now. She is definitely a more indica phenotype 😭 I must have lucked out first time round with such a Sativa phenotype 😍 I'd love to know more on this side. The likely phenotypes, and how and why they come about. Also what is the likelyhood/prevalence of each of the phenotypes....... So many questions 😂 But anyway, she's looking absolutely fab. Flowers developing well so on she goes a few more weeks! 👌

I have a very small bit of powdery mildew on the girls. I have been using CuSo4-copper sulphate about every 3 days to keep it at bay. It seems to be working really well. They look great, are happy and are working hard on plumping up their flowers. I have 4-6 weeks until harvest would be my guess. Fingers crossed I can keep the effing PM from taking over. 😬

FBT2211 grew well. Nice frosty, smelly, dense buds from looks of it. Had minor issues during growth, but nothing that was serious. The Viparspectra P4000 light did a great job. Day 66 : Continue the juices on NL because her trichomes are 50-50 milky cloudy. She is flowering very well and is like breeders photo. Each bud is like sprouting. She creates seed pockets and these pockets explode with pistils. Its amazing. Breeder suggests to leave her flower for 45-50 days. Until now she flower for 38 days , so yeh 12 remains for sure. I added Calcium because she needs it. Edit Day 70 : I watered her with juices because she stills produces new trichomes. She also started to purple her buds. Her colas are so beautiful. We don't see buds like this every day.

Allright guys & gals, In my Quest to mastering the art of growing my own bud I've reached the classic, overfeeding point but i've decided to just dile it down a gear and keep at it...I'm amazed with the Northern Lights blooming, it looks way readier then the Diesel Haze, eventhough it was planted 2 full weeks after. the budsare smaller still, but fostier and just looking riper....I have noticed the bigger leaves getting some nasty nuteburn (or at least I guess thats what it is) . I will definately go super easy on the nutes next grow. ....Trust the process.... Update... The NL is suffering quite a bit... Update... Giving just water the next times to see if they recover... Pistils becoming brown now and smell slowly getting stronger...

Cellular respiration is the fundamental metabolic process that occurs in all living plant cells (roots, stems, leaves, flowers, seeds) to convert glucose into usable energy (ATP). It requires oxygen and produces carbon dioxide and water as byproducts. Root respiration is not a separate type of respiration, but rather a specific instance of cellular respiration occurring in the roots. Roots absorb oxygen from the air spaces in the soil to fuel their energy needs. This longevity provides a lasting positive effect on soil properties, particularly by increasing the cation exchange capacity (CEC) over time, while regular organic matter breaks down much faster. Biochar generally offers a much higher CEC than coco coir, though specific values vary greatly; while coco coir might sit around 40-60 cmol/kg, biochar can range from tens to over 200 cmol/kg, with sources like Acacia wood biochar or even coconut shell biochar often surpassing coco's capacity due to its porous structure, creating significantly more cation-binding sites for nutrients, making it superior for nutrient retention. Needs to be charged similar to coco but at a much higger rate. But shhhh.. it's a secret. Recommend a balanced ratio of key cations, particularly calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), and potassium (K). A widely accepted general "ideal soil" cation saturation ratio is approximately 65-85% Ca, 6-12% Mg, and 2-5% K. That's roughly what mine gets.
