Heute ist ein aufregender Tag im Zelt! Meine beiden Hybriden Brain Damage und High Mars scheinen sich unter den Mars Hydro FC 1500 Lampen pudelwohl zu fühlen. Die Blätter sind sattgrün und kräftig, ein Zeichen für die optimale Nährstoffversorgung durch das Hesi Hydro Zuchtschema. Der pH-Wert liegt bei perfekten 6,2 und der EC-Wert bei 1,7. Die Temperatur im Zelt ist mit 25 Grad etwas höher als ideal, aber die Klimaanlage läuft auf Hochtouren, um sie zu senken. Auch die Luftfeuchtigkeit von 65 % ist noch etwas zu hoch, aber der Luftentfeuchter ist bereits aktiv. Die beiden Ventilatoren sorgen für eine gute Luftzirkulation im Zelt. Heute Abend wird es dann noch mal spannend, wenn der Chiller für die Wassertemperatur eintrifft. Ich bin gespannt, wie sich die beiden Damen in den nächsten Tagen entwickeln werden! Vorschläge?

Day 59-66 transition from veg to flower

In der zweiten Blütewoche läuft alles ohne Probleme. Die Pflanzen zeigen weiterhin gesundes Wachstum und reagieren sehr gut auf die Bedingungen. Wir haben langsam begonnen, die Nährstoffzufuhr auf Blüte-Dünger umzustellen, um die Entwicklung optimal zu unterstützen. Gleichzeitig wurde die Lichtleistung schrittweise von 50 % auf 75 % erhöht, um den Pflanzen mehr Energie für die Blüte zu geben. Zudem wurde eine leichte Entlaubung durchgeführt, um die Luftzirkulation zu verbessern und den Fokus der Pflanze auf die Blütenbildung zu lenken. Alles in allem verläuft die zweite Woche der Blütephase sehr vielversprechend.

The week was great. The roots took to the 1/4 nutes and I’m expecting beast mode soon. Stems are ok, stalks are good until you’ve gotten trunks. This ebb and flow NFT system is the way to go for me. I red something a while back about “kiss” keep it stupid simple. This setup does that and triples anything in souls I’ve ever done. My only new issue is that my humidity is quite a bit higher so I see myself investing in dehumidifiers down the road.

Happy New Year!!! Over the past week I did some HST bending on my photos and cut down 2 of the 3 Blackberry’s. The branches are starting to recover and straighten out after the HST now. I still have some issues with pale leaves and a few spots here and there. I’m going to try adding some Dolomite Lime with the next watering and think that should help with the paleness. I’m also going to up the amount of CalMag and Mammoth P to see if that helps with the spotting. I’m not sure if I should see the spotted leaves recover or if the spots will remain. I suspect the spots will remain on the existing leaves regardless of what I do at this point, but hopefully no new spotting will develop. The lights went off before I was done taking pics, so some pics will look a little different. The pics with the lights on I had to color correct, they still look a little more on the yellow side than in reality, but much closer to reality than the pre-color corrected versions. Once the lights went off I turned the flash on for my camera, those pics did not need any color correction. You can see the differences in the pics of all plants, the first 2 are color corrected with the lights on, the last 2 are taken with a flash and no color correction. Also all close up pics of the Critical+ are with the lights off and flash on. I read several books on cannabis over the past few days, some good, some not so much. One that I liked was “Marijuana Cultivation Reconsidered: The Science and Techniques For Huge Indoor Yields” by Read Spear. This book is available on Amzon’s Kindle Unlimited service, which costs $9.99/month, but they offer a free 30 day trial (which is what I’m using at the moment). Reed’s book is broken down into 3 sections, the first and third go fairly deep into the science behind growing, he does a pretty good job at breaking it down in easy to understand terms, but I had to read several sections 2 or 3 times to really get it (or just move on with as much understanding as I could digest). The second section is the nuts and bolts of growing. Most was a review but there were several topics he touched on I hadn’t thought of in a while. And again its well written. He also offers the section only in a separate book called “Small Spaces, Big Yields”. If you are not interested in going deeper into the science behind growing, “Small Spaces, Big Yields” is what I would recommend (if interested in reading books on cannabis). I took some notes while reading and I’m going to add some of these notes in my dairy updates over the next few weeks. This week I’m going to include a note on electrical, this should be a fairly basic concept, but it is super important IMO… “Electrical Items In a sealed grow room or in a tent, you will have water pooling on the floor from time to time. There is no avoiding this. Mop it up when you see it, and never put your electrical gear directly on the floor. Never. Not even for a moment. In fact, let me stress this point in bold capital letters. ALL ELECTRICAL GEAR MUST BE MOUNTED SECURELY ON A WALL OR TENT POLE.” -Read Spear I’ll add more did bits like this in my diaries over the upcoming weeks. If anyone has any good book recommendations please let me know in the comments. I’m looking for books that might not be as popular as the ones by Jorge Cervantes or Ed Rosenthal (I’ve read those). I did just order “True Living Organics” by The Rev which I’m looking forward to reading. But I’m looking for more. I really want to step it up and learn as much as possible. What up Fam, I apologize for the late update. Been away for 2 weeks from the ladies and my son who was watching them did amazing, as I came back to an absolute forest. The plants almost doubled in size which is crazy the growth they had while I was gone. I started adding bloom nutes and did a defoliation and lollipop this week. I'd normally start my training around week 3 but over all they're happy and healthy as can be. Let's Go Happy Growing.

Welcome back, Other that the time lapse looking like an earthquake went off the RED POISONS are kicking ass the DARK DEVILS did not respond as favorably to the super soil. look like N toxicity! I thought it might have been over watering, but I let them dry out a bit this week and let them use the water left in the soil instead of watering the reservoir again. the DARK DEVILS look liked they stretched this week and there is no sign of nutrient deficiency. give them a drink on Saturday and re hydrate the soil.👍

Week 8 Flower Flush flush flush 💦🚽💦🚽💦 It's extremely important to flush for at least 14 days when using synthetic nutes, or any bottled nutes in my opinion. The aim is to make her cannibalize (fade) as much as possible before she's chopped. By doing this, she's using up her stored nutrients, causing the leaves to eventually die. The better the flush the cleaner the smoke 👌💨 even when in an organic set up, the plant needs to be nicely faded before being harvested. Otherwise she's still full of nutrients. I still feel I'll be able to get an even better flush when I eventually make the switch to RO water, as my tap water holds a ppm value of approx 150. It's not too much, but 0 is always better. She was taken down on Day 57 flower, after a 16 Day flush. I didn't want to take her any further as she was quite stressed being so close to the light. So to avoid getting seeds I waited until she had a beautiful fade before giving her the chop ✂️ I always take my girls down about 30mins before the light turns on so there is minimal chlorophyll production in the plant. This is to ensure the best smell, taste and overall burn after drying and curing. A subtle but very sweet-ish tropical fruit skin kind of smell to her. Her buds are super dense and covered in trichomes. I trimmed off all fan leaves and then each branch was hung in my drying box and placed in a cool area. She was dry after 6 days and ready to be dry trimmed and jarred for curing. I'll post those pics with the harvest update! Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺
