Hello This is the end of week 10 and the beginning of week 11 of veg. Going good in here. Got some trimming done. Got the bottom trimmed up and sucker branches taken off. I've taken off enough leaves that you can barely see through the plant now. Don't take off too much. It will take a few days for the plants to get over the trim up and heal up, and then I'll start to flower next week. OK. Be Cool. Chuck.

The two main events this week: Defoliation and training. The lady seems to take it well. Apparently the nuts I use have a rather low amount of Phosphorus... I had the same problem in my last grow (dark leaves, slow bud development)... unfortunately that time I didn't get what was happening. So I started giving them "Bud Explosion" now, 2ml/l, which basically contains a mix of Phosphorus and Potassium, and the improvement was almost instantly noticeable! I'm thinking she gets 4-5 more days to recover in veg. then I flip her.

Here we are with the 5th (and last) week of veg! Finally I transplant the Queens in their definitive home. Queen #5 wants to be different, so she decide to top herself in a particular way. I really like her shape and all the branches all around! I have to change the light setup for the flowering stage, but I don't know if the box will be able to hold up two cooltube reflectors: I hope it won't implode for too much weight. Greetings my dear Jungletamers, So a major surprise came when @MarsHydroLED contacted us and asked if would like to try out their new SP 3000 light. Being a fan of Mars Hydro for years, we of course accepted their offer. We are totally in love with this light. I was when I saw it in another grower's setup and was in awe of its output and results. Week 13 (Aug/1/2024-Aug/7/2024) DAY85 - Nothing new. Water, check, repeat. Added Kelp Meal for nutrients this week. I am thinking how I will separate the plants this week--they're starting to bunch up together--staggered may be the best option to minimize space in the garden. DAY 89 - Gave one of the girls to my buddy. Helped with the bunching of the plants in a limited space. They're a lot to handle when you harvest alone. Kept the tall one, the short two(LST), the different one in the 45 gallon pot, and the bushy one(LST-ish). By the way: I include germination as part of the day count. So basically day 1 is when I put the seed in water. These seeds all rooted within 48 hours.

Done final defoliation 3 days ago. Took 2 kg of leaf from 43 plants. Now they all fully exposed to the lamps. Latest to flower. Still stretching so will be quiet big.

Unfortunately saw some in the room as well and can only assume there are many more feeding on the ladies. Gave foliar spray using Bee Safe Organicide. Gave all the girls a thorough haircut today and worked on trying to get canopy under control. Vegatation was very thick. Doesn't look like deficency issue with F7 is spreading. Continuing to watch for any changes indicating the problem is still ongoing. I'm pretty confident it's not a PH issue at this point. Seems plants are rapidily soaking up the nutrients in the water. I also found 8 or 9 fan leaves with slight nutrient burn a few days ago. Nutrient burn seems to have tapered off and haven't noticed any spreading. Going to try adding an additional watering to the schedule to see what happens. I'm hesitant to mix stronger nutrients due to nutrient burn I started to see earlier this week. At the same time, need to figure out the cause of the nutrient deficiencies. I'm currently using the Light Feeding Schedule from Mills Nutrients (says "light", but is still 2.06 EC including 0.54 EC for water + CalMag) Need to switch to flower soon but need to figure out deficiency issues before the switch. Defoliation: * Removed quite a bit of fan leaves suffocating nodes. Girls are 10lbs lighter. Despite the nutrient issues, the girls have been filling out fast. Did a timelapse over the past couple days and can see significant growth in a short period.
