behold the epic conclusion of my Medusa F1 odyssey! Week 11 brings us face to face with an absolute masterpiece – our mighty Medusa in all her glory. She has blossomed into a cannabis goddess, and I can't help but feel a mix of pride and hilarity. So, picture this: with scissors in hand and a grin on my face, I bravely took the plunge and performed the cosmic haircut of the century. I snipped the entire girl, leaving her looking like a botanical version of a cool, upside-down pineapple cake! It was a sight to behold, and I couldn't help but laugh at the quirky transformation. With our Medusa delicately suspended upside down, she's now getting ready for her final act of drying. It's like she's doing an acrobatic performance, waving her buds at us from above. Who knew cannabis cultivation could be so entertaining! In all seriousness, though, our Medusa's buds are absolutely mesmerizing. They've reached their peak density and glisten with an abundance of trichomes. The colors are a true botanical wonder, like a vibrant firework display against a night sky. Speaking of trichomes, I continue my daily trichome investigation with the precision of a detective. Each day, I observe those tiny resinous diamonds, searching for the magical moment when they're just right – cloudy with a hint of amber. And the aroma, oh the aroma! Terpenes fill the air with an intoxicating fragrance that makes my nose dance with joy. If only we could bottle this cosmic perfume! Been off here for a while, thought I’d update. She’s been battling some calcium and N deficiencies lately, so I’ve topdressed her with some dolomite lime and started giving her full strength feeds. She’s been thickening up quickly and nicely, and she’s smelling like cheesy BO but in a good way.

Well the pas week has been a lot! We had some dehydration issues, did some defolitation, and additional LST to prep for flower. Starting today, this plant has been kicked into the flower tent and will be starting its journey! Before we went to flower, I gave this guy 1tbsp of Dr. Earth tomato blend. Over the next week or so we'll be switching to Dr. Earth flower girl. Cheers til next time! -Dj Sunstone

Day 28-35 (May 28th - June 4th) (Day 29) My rooted blackberry #3 clone looks like it’s finally starting to reveg. It’s starting to stretch it’s internodes but no new growth yet. Nearly all 9 are pushing roots now. What a waste of time taking clones in flower! Won’t ever do that again. Grapefruit #1 has a twin! I thought it was just an odd formation on the taproot but two seedlings are pushing out. I wonder if it will be genetically identical. It’s definitely slower growing than the other one so who knows. I will try to train them apart when the time comes. (Day 30) I think the EC/PPMs are too high on nearly every plant including my veggies. The promix is actually really hot for a “blank” medium coming in at 1800. Adding compost and amendments to that is probably raising it to 2500+ at least. It should self balance the more I water it but I know for a fact I can get better growth by leaching the soil around each plant. Next time I use promix for anything, I’m going to prewash it like coco coir and add a dash of oyster shell flour for pH and calcium. (Day 32) Purple tuna is now big enough to start lst on now. I’m going to wait a little while for the slurricanes. (Day 33) One of the grapefruits has a twin that actually popped... I’m going to leave it and see how she turns out (Day 35) I’m going to prune off the lower leaves on each plant. I was going to lst Purple tuna but it’s so vigorous I may as well just top/mainline it. Autoflowers are looking established and should be taking off this week. I wonder if this will give them enough time to veg into decent sized plants before they flower. I won’t be topping or even doing lst. My goal is 22 big spear colas from each plant. I’m going to get all my rooted clones into 1.7 gallon pots over the next week or so.

Today is day 56 and things are looking pretty good. Watered with half strength nutrients and will probably switch to straight water in the next couple days. The smell has really developed over the past couple weeks, I would say it was weak and just sweet/fresh but now it hits hard with sweet cream and funk/gas.

Woche 4 / Vegi Woche 3 Der Grow: Am Anfang der Woche wurde das erste Mal getoppt. Ziel des toppen war es, 6 neue Haupttriebe zu haben. Da die Triebe der ersten Nodien viel kleiner waren, als die der zweiten, habe ich solange gewartet, bis die Triebe der vierten Nodien, so große Blätter hatten, dass sie nachdem toppen, gleich mit Photosynthese beginnen können. Dann wurde über den vierten Nodien getoppt und die Triebe, samt Blätter, der ersten Nodien entfernt. Die Pflanze hat das toppen gut verkraftet. Ich mache von jeder Woche Zeitrafferaufnahmen und man konnte sehen, dass alle Triebe gleich nach dem toppen weitergewachsen sind. Den Rest der Woche, habe ich die Pflanze, einfach wachsen lassen. Die Triebe haben sich gut entwickelt und die Pflanze ist wie erwartet kompakt geblieben und extrem buschig geworden. Vermutlich werde ich in der nächsten Woche, die 6 Haupttriebe erneut toppen, um auf 12 Haupttriebe zukommen. Dazu aber im nächsten Update mehr. Im letzten Update hatte ich geschrieben, dass ich die Bodenfeuchtigkeit, versuche bei 55% zuhalten. Dies scheint jedoch zu viel zu sein. Nachdem ich die 55% einige Zeit gehalten habe, wurde der Topf, in der Drainageschicht, sehr nass. Ich hatte zwar noch keinen Drain, aber das der Topf in dem Bereich sehr nass war, hat mir gezeigt das sich dort Wasser sammelt. Aber eigentlich sollte der Bereich trocken sein. Deshalb habe ich die Bodenfeuchtigkeit langsam gesenkt und peile jetzt die 50% an. Man konnte auch sehen, dass sich die Blätter im Verlauf des Tages nicht mehr komplett aufgestellt haben. Sondern ehr leicht nach unten hingen. Was für eine beginnende Überwässerung spricht. Mittlerweile ist der Bereich der Drainageschicht, wieder komplett trocken. Den VPD habe ich im laufe der Woche langsam erhöht, bis auf 1,4kpa am Ende der Woche am Tag und auf 1kpa in der Nacht. Diese Werte werde ich jetzt so weiter fahren, bis zur Umstellung auf die Blüte. Der DLI wurde am Anfang der Woche auf 30 erhöht. I use the airbases with an airdome, and a airstone connected to an airpump. As for the soil i use Plagron Coco-Perlite 70/30. After i transplanted them i moved them into the 100x100x180cm tent. The light is at 40% strength with a distance of 60 cm. Im happy they are finally transplanted into the AutoPots, My plan was to do this way sooner but i forgot to buy the root disks.
