I started germination of 1 Gorilla Zkittlez bean on 29/12/2020. I pre moistened my rockwool cubes with ph balanced water to 6.4. Made sure the plug was just damp and not soaked. Using a small wooden dowel I increased the size of the plugs pre made hole. Than I sowed my bean into the hole. Ripped off a small piece of rockwool and mulched it up. Lightly filled the hole in with the mulched rockwool. Than stuck the plug into a misted humidity dome, to complete germination. Shouldn't take anymore than 4-5 days to see a sprout. Once I see some cotlydon leaves bursting to the surface. I will get the plug planted into some 1 gallon pots. Plus get this lady situated into her home. Cant wait! Some Background information on my experience with Gorilla Zkittlez. I've grown this variety out twice so far. Once in a 15 gallon container which became a super branchy beast. That yielded a large amount and filled up it's own 4x4 tent with a little training. The second and most recent time was in a 1 gallon SOG grow. She also flourished in a fast flip SOG grow banging off a fat head frosty main cola, with a few satellite buds. Very adaptive strain and seems to flourish in any environment and any size space. Looking forward too my 3rd adventure with Barneys farms masterpiece.

1/12: impatiently waiting for lemon auto to finish up. Still not sure what the northern lights is trying to do, but..the little buds are slowly growing. S l o w l y... 1/14: things are getting out of hand in here. Northern lights is bushy AF again but the budlets appear to be increasing in size. Lemon is getting closer every day. Looks like I've got milky trichomes and the pistils are darkening. Still a bit early, but I'd be lying if I wasn't anxious for the space.. 1/15: I've accepted that I have at least a week ish left on Lemon auto,but she's getting there! I did some rather risky defoliation on northern lights and holy shit, she's got potential. I'm hoping she's just a slow grower and those buds will really fatten up! Perhaps lemon is just a really fast growing plant? I've also decided that since space is limited, my best bet is to probably rotate the plants every other day to allow all bid sites an opportunity for direct light. I'm reigning myself in. Once lemon auto is harvested I need to NOT immediately plant another. I've got some mephosito seeds I want to get going, but I've learned my lesson. This tent fits two 5 gallon mature plants... Uncomfortably. Three is too many 😂 1/17: wondering if northern lights has is it her to fatten up. Gave her a good flush &feed. Popcorn buds or not, I'm invested (#forscience). Lemon auto is still finishing up. Can't get good enough pics with phone to see trichomes. Clearly, I have a minimum of a week left, but I got a digital microscope so I can keep track! My first experience of having fat nugs😆💚💯

Wk 4 was where I started to notice things weren't as they seemed. Continuous growth and some LST started towards the end of Wk3 and throughout 4 as different plants developed. The 3 girls in the Coco were looking wonderful, with nothing really done to them. - Towards the end of the week I noticed my leaves on the girls In the aero were now dramatically wilting and discolouration continued. - I flushed the tank and proceeded with just water.. 12 hours later after some research I realised I most likely have root rot!! - The following morning I took a look at the roots in more detail and what I thought was a bit of nute burn from the gunky root juice was in-fact slime. - I again drained the tank and rinsed the roots with tap water. Fortunately I have an adaptable tap and managed to hose them with an actual hose sprinkler! (it was better than a shower head). To my surprise most of the slime and damaged root matter rinsed away. I literally just scrubbed the whole tank with Flash bleach and rinsed the absolute crap out of it. - Again more research educated me that organic fertilisers are generally not great for hydro - I also realised that amazons system is terribly designed. The red sprinkler covers which are there purely for inspection let an immense amount of light penetrate through. This was another noob mistake I learned the hard way! Moving on I bought some Regen -e- root and pursued my crusade!

Day 92 30/09/24 Monday Feed today using de-chlorinated tap water pH 6 with calmag. She has shown drastic improvement this week with trichome development, colours deepening too a purple and pink . Pistils forming a deep 🧡, and the calyxs are forming like rose buds 🌹, tight upright curls , doused in trichomes 😍. She is looking amazing, deep purple hues, covered in trichomes, smelling incredible 🤩💚 Will start the flush next week 💪🙌💚

Ok, so day 46, i see a lot of “hairs” turning dark/brown/yellow, so i gave it fresh water no nutes. But it is only the top buds, so maybe i will feed 1-2 times more before flushing. Thats for lsd-25. blueberries, on the other hand needs more time. Day 47: very beautiful colours, and the sweetest smell ❤️

Seeds germinated in room temperature water for 36 hours in the dark.Planted today in 3 gal pots with a mix of happy frog and ocean forest soil.Used recharge in the first watering and now I wait for these 9 girls to be born .)

Hey yall! Happy New Year!!! 😊 🎆 🎇 🌟 🤩 Hope yall are having a great Holiday season. In an attempt to finish this harvest early, as stated previously, I am switching to 12/12 lighting for the flowering period this week! Super stoked as the girls are looking good and have a canopy that is mildly acceptable to me, if I had more time and a larger tent, and not a baby on the way I would veg more. But it's all good, because I wasn't the most confident in Beaver Seeds, although their genetics looks good, there are so soooo many great breeders out there. Anyways I topped the shorter girl early this week and topped the taller girl just about 3 days ago, she has recovered enough for me to feel comfortable to switch to flowering. Also the leaves on my tall girl's right side was getting burnt from my humidifier being too close and the moisture droplets started to fry under the bright LEDs. Temperatures are almost always fluctuating, that and trying to maintain an ideal VPD has been most struggling. Although I haven't dialed in my grow area, and changed where I was growing twice. Get it dialed! Get it dialed! I did at Fermented Irish Sea Moss, I obviously did not collect this from the ocean since I am nowhere near Ireland. But I had it on hand and it was going to waste. Use what you have locally or what would go to waste. Also made some new Fermented Aloe, very easy and I highly recommend it! Also just ordered a C02 meter, adding some DIY C02 with yeast, water and baking soda. Will let yall know how effective it is and get back to you on recipe info. Well, the drought stress in week 11 really fucked my plants up, but Twiggy recovered, while Zoey was hurt pretty bad. If I did nothing, I'm betting harvest would've been 25% more, and Zoey's buds wouldn't look so crappy, but overall, I was so happy with this grow! I was under a time crunch, so only did minimal veg for 4 weeks, topping once. Daily watering with 1.8EC mix that was pretty consistent. Kept pH between 5.5 and 5.8. Kept tight control on humidity and temperature up to mid flower, then kept air circulation on to keep room humidity around 55% Things I'd do differently: 1. Veg longer - I'd love to try a mainline 2. Canopy control - wish I had spent the time on a SCROG screen, or at least a couple of rings. 3. More light sooner into flower. Waited about 4 weeks into flower before maxing out the light. Probably could've bulked them up significantly if I started earlier 4. Drought stressing - For Fucks Sake, keep a close eye on your plants, and the minute they start to wilt, get the water back on 'em!!! 5. Measure your run-off more frequently for salt build-up. Didn't have any problems, but it's a good best practice. 6. Set up proper closed-loop environment to allow for CO2 enrichment. 7. Set up a clone environment before you get to flower. Oops. Things I was happy with: 1. VPD control system (heat, humidity) during veg and early flower worked flawlessly. Never any nute burn, and super healthy plants. 2. Sterilized soil and grow-room before starting - never had a single bug or any mold/mildew issues. Used a MERV 13 filter on the air intake, exhaust through carbon to crawlspace. 3. Coco/perlite mix - super drainage, low build-up, very healthy roots. 4. Power meter - neat way to measure what's really going into the grow, so when your wife complains about power usage, you can show her the real numbers. 5. Photone app on Android S20 - Knew where my PPFD was for optimal growth control. 6. REX-C100 PID controller for toaster oven - super tight temperature control comes in handy for decarbing as well as toasting oak for moonshine.
