GMO Cookies — Week 8 From Seed (≈ Week 3 Flower — 12/12 From Seed) “Served with extra curiosity.” 🌱 Quick Recap (For Everyone Joining Now) These girls have been running 12/12 from seed from day one. No traditional vegetative phase. They decided their timing — we followed. This is not about chasing more harvests per year. It’s about efficiency, energy management, and less unnecessary labor. We are now at Week 8 from seed, which we consider early–mid flower transition (Week 3 flowering) based on pistil development and stacking behavior. ⸻ 🌡️ Room Conditions The room is looking strong and stable. • Temperature: ~28°C • Humidity: ~70% (slowly reducing) • PPFD: 800–1300 µmol/m²/s (varies per plant height) • Airflow: Heavy exchange + vortex + crosswinds Now let’s explain the why. We are prioritizing leaf VPD, not just room VPD. Because of strong airflow and active transpiration, we can run slightly higher humidity at this stage without creating microclimate issues. Big intake. Big exhaust. Vortex movement. Crosswind fans breaking boundary layers. This allows us to push intensity safely. And intensity is where the fun begins. ⸻ 💡 Lighting Strategy We are not just running a top light. We are using: • Over-canopy lighting • Inner canopy lighting • Under-canopy lighting Why? Because photosynthesis doesn’t only happen at the top cola. Lower sites can remain productive if light penetrates and airflow supports them. Benefits: • More uniform energy distribution • Reduced larf • Better lower bud development • Higher nutrient demand (which we are seeing) This multi-angle light system is part of why we can push EC while still seeing substrate EC remain low. ⸻ Feeding & EC Strategy Current Irrigation EC: ~2.4 Substrate EC reading: ~0.9 That tells us something important: The girls are eating. When runoff/substrate EC remains low despite high input EC, it means uptake is strong and salts are not accumulating. The moment we see substrate EC climbing? We reduce feed EC immediately. End goal: Final week or so → likely water only. ⸻ Current Nutrient Recipe • CalMag Pro • Terra Bloom • Power Buds • Green Sensation • Pure Zym • Sugar Royal (No more Vita Race foliar for now.) ⸻ 🔬 Why We Switched Additives We moved from Power Roots → Power Buds + Green Sensation Power Buds • Encourages flower initiation • Supports generative growth • Helps hormonal shift into flowering mode Green Sensation • PK booster • Adds Magnesium & Iron • Supports enzyme systems & chlorophyll stability • Assists in energy transport during early bulking phase We are now in the stage where roots are established — focus shifts to flowers and energy management. ⸻ ⚗️ Order of Mixing (Chemistry Matters) This is important. 1. CalMag first Our water is very soft. We raise EC to ~0.7 using CalMag before adding anything else. Why? • Calcium stabilizes solution chemistry. • Prevents nutrient lockout. • Reduces risk of precipitation when adding PK later. • Supports cell wall strength during high transpiration. 2. Base nutrients (Terra Bloom) 3. Additives (Power Buds, Green Sensation, Pure Zym, Sugar Royal) Mixing order affects solubility and stability. This is not random. ⸻ 🌿 Plant Development Defoliation was done recently. Result? It looks like nothing happened. The canopy refilled quickly. Structure is strong. Stretch is controlled but active. Stacking is beginning. They are bigger than expected at this stage, to be honest. This is where things get interesting. ⸻ 🔬 Macro Season Begins We are entering the phase where microphotography becomes meaningful. Yes, it’s always interesting. But now: • Trichome stalks are forming. • Resin heads are developing. • Pistil clusters are stacking. • Leaf surface gland density increases. From this week forward, macro and focus stacking will become part of the reports. Not for hype. For documentation. ⸻ 🔮 What To Expect Next Week • Continued stacking • Slight humidity reduction • Possible EC adjustment depending on substrate readings • Increased resin production • Internodal swelling No drastic changes planned — just observation and precision. ⸻ 🤝 Appreciation Section Thank you to: • The long-time followers • The OGs • The critics • The silent readers • The new growers joining • The Grow Diaries platform • The sponsors • And everyone watching quietly This doesn’t happen because I’m alone in the garden. It happens because of community. Photography is part of the story — it’s how we share the fine textures, the glow, and the quiet details that words can’t always capture. I’ve also started experimenting with photo stacking — a technique where multiple images, each taken at a slightly different focus point, are layered together to create one perfectly sharp image from front to back. It’s not digital enhancement or AI; it’s pure photography — a way to reveal the plant’s beauty in microscopic depth, from trichome to petal. You’ll even see a few shots of "ghost me" capturing the shots — camera, lens, setup — because every grow deserves not just to be cultivated, but documented like art. 12/29/21 - Welcome to Week 6! We are almost there. The plants are really showing off colors of yellow, orange and purple. The buds are getting larger and more dense. We fed the plants with the nutrients listed above. 12/30/21 - We are on track for a good harvest. Today is Day 44. We think it’ll be within the 55-60 day mark for harvest. We are just about ready to flush and use regular water for awhile. The buds are huge and very dense. Check out todays video! 12/31/21 - Wow… So frosty and dense! We are excited for harvest. So far so good! We have lots of purple buds. Happy New Years Eve. 1/1/22 - Happy New Year! They are looking really good this year ;) We are done with nutrients and we are going to water with phed water only. We might run Sledgehammer once or twice to get more of a flush. 1/2/22 - Day 47! The plants are on track. We are getting some massive tops with big chunks of purple on the buds. Such beautiful plants! 1/3/22 - We are loving the colors! We have a few weeks left. Harvest time is coming quick and we are getting everything ready for it. We are going to use an iPower bowl trimmer and toss all the popcorn in the bowl to be used for scented topicals. 1/4/22 - Looking really good today. We are just watering with plain water and the buds are like rocks. We have a ton of work ahead of us lol. It’ll be worth it!

Off to a good start these sour patch kiss by elev8seeds are just taking off! Today is feeding day. I’m excited cause I’m gonna use the foliar spray included with the kit. In the pics you see the mother as well all are loving the kind led k5 xl1000 wifi nothing but leafs stretching! So far in veg this strain/genetics seem 💪 I’m Thinking of topping in the next few days, clones seem to settle now and I see growth so I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out! Have a great safe Sunday! . https://www.kindledgrowlights.com/?rfsn=3215824.c8e54f

This lady had some beautiful colors throughout the grow, she wasnt quite as sticky as I expected giving the name but all around great smoke! Will be growing this again with a different feeding schedule to see if I can get a little more out of her but still happy with the results! Thanks for following & happy growing friends!

Day1: Father and child both doing well after a successful and happy birth. Day 2: The stem stretched a bit further than I would have liked so I’ve added another layer of soil to build up around the stem and I’ve moved the light a bit closer. Looks good now. Day 3: Continued to use the Force to make the seedling grow. It’s looking happy and healthy. It’s tedious work just standing there 18hrs a day. Day 4: Another good day of growing. I had R2 telling me dirty jokes to keep me distracted from the monotony of the task. Put some water around the stem just to dampen it down a bit. Day 5: Nothing to report. It’s already starting to feel like I’ve been here for a light year but Mr.Nelson said he’ll be bringing round some bud soon so that should help with the boredom. He said it’s important that I learn for myself by actually trying it, the difference between Indica and Sativa. Day 6: Dampened down soil around seedlings 🌱 Day 7: A week down and everything is looking good. Dampened down soil again today around seedling 🌱

So WHY is this auto taking so damn long to mature??? Is this normal? It's my first hydro grow, but my wife's soil grow started after mine (more than a week) + was grown in the exact same room .... but has been harvested over the past TWO weeks. Thoughts? Not much needed doing this week. Did a huge trim mid week that was posted to a mid week update in last week's diary entry. She didn't like it at first but then bounced back pretty well. I think I have a very slight touch of nutrient burn on some of the tips, but it could also be a touch dry as we're having a hard time keeping the room over 40% humidity as the outdoor temps here are stupid cold recently. Hoping to harvest in 2 weeks or so.. but could be longer. Urgh. She's a big, bountiful, heat-loving lady that's finally a under a bit of vegetative control... but apparently REALLY likes to take things slow.

Starting week 4, I've just been leaf tucking. They are starting to stretch. The Nightmare Comet never sprouted, I popped in a Gorrila Cookies from Fast Buds just to have an auto in the Gia Green Mix; to see how it grows. I'll train it as needed, depending on how big the Speedrun strains get. On another note, the smaller of the Granite Haze Twins isn't making much progress compared to her big sister. I culled her, RIP.

Better and bigger everyday! I have finally overcome my problems with nute burn. I create 1 gallon of the solution w/ no dilution, running full strength nutes, and this solution is lasting 1 week+ now. Then daily, fill 1 gallon with purified city water, with 1ml of Heavy 16 Roots for PH balance. Since I topped the 4 bagseed plants multiple times very early in veg growth, they are extremely short and bushy. But the flowering stretch seems to definitely be happening. Plus they have a ton of budsites being created. Still waiting to see what sex the 4 bagseed are. I have multiple close-up pictures of the 4 bagseed photos if anyone can see any signs of the sex? No PM or mites I can observe. Sprayed for them in week 5. Every day I am defoliating the lower branches of the plant as it becomes more obvious what isn't getting light. No smell. Bagseed were started from seed, germinated using paper towel method, and pretty neglected with light up until week 4. Also they spent too long in small containers before being transplanted. Unidentified genetics/sex. Clones were bought anywhere from 9 inches to 13 inches tall. But the clones have just really taken off in their larger pots. The Blackwater plant in the middle is the smallest clone of the three I received, and it was also filled with less dirt than the other 2, which are obviously taller an bushier. Anyone see anything else I should be doing?

LaFanta seemed stucked comparison to early skunk plants, that evolved well this week. Some leaves presenting very light spots, looking as they recieving foliar feed/ipm however last foliar application was on Sept. 30th.

Finished on day 87, was fully ready. Buds displayed a rich dark green and purple colours at the end. Didn't need much feeding or nutrients, although if I had stayed ontop of it more I have no doubt I'd have yeilded more. Great lil strain to grow.
