Unfortunately because they were in the dark when germinated & sprouted they stretched for light quite a bit, which made the stems weak, I had to support some but 1 of the Tropicana Cookies was to weak & bent right over. I tried to stake it to support it but it died a few days later! I have put another Tropicana seed in to a jiffy starter to replace it. Added a fan to help strengthen stems & it has started to strengthen them up allready

12/6 Update - seed is germinated and ready to grow! I will post a new weekly update tomorrow! So I had to scrap this plant - it was just growing too slow and it was unfortunately not a health plant. I decided to remove the plant altogether and have started a new seed. Since this plant will be four week behind its neighbor in the tent I will have to modify my approach to training on this one. I typically mainline - mostly just to utilize the space in the best way that I can. This time around I think I will just top it maybe once or twice and then let it recover for two weeks then flip to flower and manage out the lower branches from there. It will be kind of fun to do a side by side with these. The neighbor plant is super healthy and is almost ready for its first topping, I did however go through today and remove all of the growth from the plant (other than topping) so that should slow that one down quite a bit and give this new plant some what of a chance to catch up. Also - check out the worms!!! I pulled out that plant and reached down into the soil just to see what the worm activity was looking like - I pulled out this little ball of freshly hatched worms! Barney's Farm Gorilla Zkittles - Feminized. I'll be growing just one of these plants in this 2x4x5 tent. It will be growing side by side with another plant but I wanted to be able to document them separately. This is my fourth grow using this set up, I'm excited to document the process this time around! Another week has flown by! The girls are doing great, cruise control this week as I have just been monitoring RH and temps. Trying to keep them as low as possible, I’ve been getting as low as 74 during the day and 68 at night. I finally took a look a look at the trichomes with my jewellers loop, lots of cloudy, and a few amber around the leaves and top colas, but still lot’s of clear trichomes. I’ve ordered myself a wireless/usb digital microscope to assist with the process, and looks like it will be here just in time to determine harvest day. 😎🎄 I started by eliminating the nutrients at the beginning of the week. I typically allow for 3-4 pure water feeds before I harvest, and at the rate they have been drinking, this should be enough to get through the 7-12 days they have before harvest. I don’t flush, but rather “rinse” with normal water amounts, allowing the plant to use up the remaining nutrients in the soil. This also allows me to recover most of the soil from my grows and reuse ♻️ with other soil mix. There has been great debate and a great deal of bro science out there for many years, but the recent studies suggest there is no difference in end result when it comes to flushing or using nutrients right until the end, if a proper dry and cure is performed. It’s been a hell of a ride y’all but here we are, looks like she’ll be ready to chop come Monday or Tuesday depending when I have more time Haven’t gotten to much of a description of the flower yet so as for smell- she’s an absolute funky one almost makes you sick to the stomach like a garlic body odor but then a slightly sweet back to it. Based off the record she’s putting out so far I couldn’t be happier to try the smoke. As you can see even with all she’s been through (mainly a tough mag deficiency) the buds are still completely coated in a nice layer of frost same with all her healthy foliage. Will definitely be running some wax from her so I’ll update on that as well. Harvest pics coming soon until then happy growing y’all!!!

Looks a beast I minimise handling and hang whole mius a few larger fan leaves so no wet weight but she's got lovley big colas full of frost with a pungent cheesy aroma. Great plant all in all. An early tester I tried smoked great so looking forward to the slow dried version from my dry tent. Parameters are good in ther at 19°c with the humidity set to 55% for the first two days then I up to 60% for the remaining 10 days or so. Then we cure in jars, burping regularly till a stable 62% is reached and then into heat sealed grove bags. I'll check in with the final report after the cure. Almost exactly 11 weeks from seed. She si a shorts Girl with fat colas, the smell is strong and sweet, the flowers are very hard and sweet, My Main complaint with this strain is the time, because the bank says si a 8 week strain but she doesn't.

Last week there was a hurricane coming this way 🤦🤷 so i placed the plant in front of the window but of course 0 sunlight, this means we lost some critical time of the buds getting bigger and fatter, bad luck 😔 i think we are giving this plant 1 more week

All 3 strains in the tent came out just incredibly nice but i'm glad i picked the gorilla zkittlez for the diary as i doubt i'll be seeing trichs like this again anytime soon. The pictures do a fairly good job ( p.s. just got the S10 and wow it takes nice pics even compared to the S9) but in person the trichs are so long its almost surreal. like it looks furrry and soft and fluffy. I hope she smokes as hard as she looks cause she looks like she gonna be putting me in a damn coma. The smell is very nice as well. Slightly sweet but still that strong strong dank smell. I CAN NOT WAIT TO SMOKE THESE LADIES!!! 😍😍😍 I've noticed some people are following along, I hope you enjoyed the run and I look forward to posting the harvest. OCTOBER 18th to OCTOBER 24TH Sunrise: 08:31 | Sunset: 18:50 | Total Daylight: 10:19 Weather over the past week saw several consecutive days of full cloud cover and rainy periods. Greenhouse has held temperatures during the day, and only dropped below 10C once (Day 168). Good periods of sun on Day 167 and 168, with the forecast looking sunny for the next few days. I suspect that will help along the ripening process as the plants process nutrients from the fan leaves during the fade. There hasn't really been any issues with humidity levels, as it has hovered in and around 40% to 45% RH Purple Romulan isn't as near to ripe as I'd like, with many trichome heads still clear, with only a few cloudy. Not a lot of time left as it is getting quite cold outdoors, and honestly there isn't a lot of sunlight now that we are down to 10 hours. DAY 162 2L of plain rainwater (cold) applied to each specimen. DAY 163 n/a DAY 164 15C in greenhouse in the morning; Cloudy and cool day overall, but greenhouse holding temperatures above 19C and plants are clearly going through senescence. DAY 165 Steady rain overnight, with armer temperatures; Greenhouse held overnight at 17.5C and 50% RH. Cool, cloudy and rainy day (high of 9C, 97% RH, but greenhouse and the associated equipment performing as designed and holding temperatures at 19.5C with humidity ranging from 40% to 45%. DAY 166 Cool and rainy overnight (6C intermittent light rain). Greenhouse held to 16.5C and 41% RH. Noticed some droop so provided 1L of plain rainwater (cold) via drip in the afternoon to each specimen and everyone perked up thereafter. Temperatures reached 19C for much of the day, with 43% humidity. Temperatures outdoors were a high of 7C, with 80% humidity (or more) during the day. Remained overcast for much of the day, but there was a couple of periods of increased brightness. Plants are doing well, all fading; Purple Romulan's long and abundant pistils have only began to wilt to a bright orange colour wholeheartedly over the last 7 days. Flowers are of decent size, have a typical hybrid shape with trichome production that looks to be average. Smells of pine but has a sweetness as an undertone. Trichome heads on calyxes remain mostly clear. When rubbing fingers over sugar leaves, this plant is notably greasy in comparison to any other specimens in the garden. DAY 167 Overnight low of 2C, greenhouse held at 12.5C and 41% RH. After a cloudy cool morning, the sun broke through and warmed up the greenhouse shortly after the noon hour. Exhaust fan even came on intermittently to reduce temps below 24C. Humidity was ideal all day, in and around 40%. After noting some droop, applied 1L of plain rainwater (cold) via drip. This may be the last watering of the season. I think it will be possible to decommission the irrigation system for the winter over the coming weekend. I can pull 20L of water for use either for this crop and/or the mother tent. DAY 168 Greenhouse 9.5C (-2C outside) in the morning with 40% RH. Sunny morning, with greenhouse warming to over 10C by 9:30AM; Exhaust fan kicked in to hold temperatures at 24C just before the noon hour.
