Day 1 of week 8 , about 3 weeks left until harvest. The buds have a higher percentage of amber pistils. The buds are getting a bit wider and their hairdo is a bit less spiked. Some minor issues with low humidity in the seedling stage. Once past the seedling stage this was a very easy grow. After my daily reservoir change I noticed after moving a few buds that yes i'm smelling licorice . It smells exactly like licorice sticks . I also get pine and some other spice, maybe cloves. My carbon filter still keeps the smell under control but opening the tent gives you a good slap. Buds look close to being ready . I will do a trichome check Sunday and a video. OK I took a few trichome pictures today at 8 complete weeks (Saturday ). This is my first photo period grow so I want to go close to the 10 week Cropking suggested flowering time.

This plant plus one more started to wilt earlier on in the week, I figured it was probably time to transplant seeing as they had been in the solo cups for 2 weeks. After transplant plants seemed to be happy again. I introduced amino acids this week as well. They are getting the grease spray and drench program

- WEEK 8 - ----- Day 50 ----- Woo hoo. End is in sight and the plants are still PACKING the pounds on. Big Bertha is 11 inches long, 2 inches wide. The hidden massive Gertha is 8 inches in circumference in the middle in just bud alone and isn't even the largest part of this 8 inch long nug... Fed 1150ppm 13L 6.4pH 5-15+ days left. 2-4 days till I start looking into trichome finish period. Forgot to take a regular full shot and shots of tropicanna glookies. oh well. Later tonight if I remember. I stopped bud candy cause I'm using a lot more molasses and its literally a sugar in itself so why put in bud candy which is just sugars... seems redundant. ----- Day 51 ----- Easy day of watching. Some nice bud shots today. The whole basement smells of weed candy. Back right Tropicanna is pineapple gummy bear, front right is just gummy bear. Wedding Cake is like sweet weed, you get the regular smell of pot but instead of skunky its sweet but that Tropicanna is just alllll candy no weed smell at all. I did the first 60x shot today. 5% cloudy 95% clear on the Tropicanna. Long ways to go. I'll be doing the Wedding Cake later tonight, got side tracked. ----- Day 52 ----- Fed 1200ppm 6.4ph 12 Liters Tropicanna Glookies is going full blown purple. Should be covered in dark purple coloration within the week. Wedding Cake is just fat. Super fat large nugs. Easy day. Forgot to take trichome pics of Wedding Cake will do that later today probably. Well, the largest bud is 1 foot in circumference now... rofl ----- Day 53 ----- Easy day. Fed some water, they're getting thirsty again. I'm going to do a 13L feeding , then next day 5L water. So that's what I did today. I'll be dropping the Kool Bloom Powder & CaliMagic by day 56 and only feed 1/2 strength molasses only. Will pick the buds off as they finish, not gonna do 1 big chop unless it manages to turn out that way. Colors are going wild. Will check Wedding Cake & Tropicanna trichomes before lights out will update pics then. ----- Day 54 ----- 1300ppm 13L 6.4ph fed Here's some pics. Wedding Cake is nowhere near ready by the trichomes. Barely any cloudy, no amber. ----- Day 55 ----- Tropicanna really turning purple now starting to infect the leaves at top of canopy. Can't wait for what Day 63 holds for all these ladies. Not going to check trichomes till probably day 58 Easy day, last fert feed with chemical nutrients tomorrow, after that its just molasses. ----- Day 56 ----- Didnt even bother with ppm/pH. Molasses. roughly 30-50ml in 13-15 Liters. Smoked a tester of the Tropicana Glookies (Sativa) God daaaamn. Shits fire. Extremely strong. Very Cerebral and its not even at its peak yet... I've chosen Tuesday as Harvest day for both Tropicana Glookies plants (they're clones of each other) A single Wedding Cake testing nug is drying right now, I'll judge when it gets harvested based on the high, and if not sufficiently near my level i'll give it 2 days before drying another nug and trying again. I want heavy ass couch-lock. 6 days for Tropicana. Probably 8 for Wedding Cake. Will send samples off to Canvas Labs for testing like I've done in the past and will be making both edibles and bubble hash and will post those here as they happen. Once thats done I will see if I can restart veg mode in this grow, and if so I will keep this going until the plants die (and just make side diaries for each individual plant variety grow). After switching the light schedule, our supposed "autoflowers" have finaly started to show signs of actually flowering. Week 9, what a trip. This grow is full of surprises and new lessons for me: the potting mix i have used for this grow is apparently purely peat (black and white peat moss) with perlite mixed in. After digging into some more information about all kinds of soils i found out that i was apparently growing "hydroponically" because this is apparently a soilless mix. The world is full of surprises 😅 This does explain a lot of the stuff that i've been trying to deal with in the last few weeks: first and foremost my plants were looking like they were developing a range of different nutrient deficiencies. I still find it hard to tell which ones, but symptoms ranged from decoloration and deformation of the lower leafs up to small burnt tips on the developing flowers, new growth being brittle and signs that looked like underwatering. I'm convinced that this has a lot to do with the fact tht this is a soilless medium with 0 pre-supplied nutrients (the light mix does supply nutrients for a week or two, but no more). I've been going really slow on the feeding because in previous runs i tended to overfeed and had issues with that, so therefore only used about a quarter to half of the recommended dosages. So, at this point i've completely switched up my feeding: i bought 2 new bottles of hydroponic fertilizers (GHE Bloom and GHE Micro) and i'm using those in addition to a little bit of plagron terra grow - to make sure the plant also gets its fair share of nitrogen. After 3 days of watering with this stuff (both at 2ml/L) the plants are almost literally screaming "THANK YOU!" and seem to be really benefitting from this new insight and change of strategies.

So week 8 has gone by like the others nice and easy although I cant help but think that she is well behind where she should be, on the packet it says 11 weeks to harvest but I cant see her packing on enough bud in 3 weeks to be ready for the chop... im in no rush to chop her down but cant help feel a bit anxious that I have gone wrong somewhere... It is in bloom growing each day, I did defoliation the first day of the week and a little more training the LST The first two days of the week I sprayed both plants with BAC Foliar Spray just before lights out.... Every day I put CO2 pellets in a glass of water while the lights are on.

Apart from the final flush, this T.A. FlashClean can be used at any time during the plant life cycle 💦💦💚 General: Auto Melonade Runtz 🍉🥤🍉 - The plant does not look healthy. At the beginning, when the leaves first wilted and the first brown spots appeared, I thought I had slightly overfed the plant with nutrients. It's strange because I give the other girls exactly the same ratio of nutrients and they didn't react like this. Maybe it's a less stable seed, I don't know. Anyway, I decided to flush the plant with T.A. FlashClean. I did it 3 times, but unfortunately, the girl keeps turning yellow 🍂🍂😕 Training: At the moment I'm just removing the yellow twisted leaves, some fall off on their own. Plants 1 & 3 are doing good. #1 is a beast so far. I will probably start flushing plant #3 here soon, she got stunted and I don’t think she’s really packing on weight anymore. So part of plant #2 was dry enough for jars after 5 days. Dry trimmed about an 38g. Still have about 2-3x as much left to trim. I think I’ll wet trim the other two it seems way harder to dry trim. I’ll have a total dry weight for plant #2 tomorrow.

I love the sativa shaped nug-towers! When my plants grow big, I like to grow them until the very end of their cycle! That's why the extended flower period. Video of Measurement of yield: T=Tops(92grams), M=Mids(59.1 grams), L=Lowers(58.6grams) Total: 209.7 grams (1-2 grams worth, was taste-tested prior to scaling.)

So beautiful..... Full fertilization started with the mix above the epsom salt is granulated so those little white balls are the epsom salt :) The little dried clementine is just decoration ;)

Sorry dad, looks like we’re gonna have to ration this one 🤣 Yield unfortunately on the extreme low end, likely due to my irregular and poor watering habits. While lacking in yield, the effects are very nice, a lovely sativa. Smells like equal parts mint and pine! Inhale is quite minty which is quite delicious and similar to Girl Scout cookies

Had a panic attack this week!!! Found some little fast moving crawlers on my mulch. Most were on the leaves I had trimmed off during defoliation. I come to find out they are a type of mite that eat the decaying foliage and were likely already within the soil itself. Luckily no problem at all. Lots of new growth and they all seemed to respond well to the little LST and HST I’ve used (topping and fimming). Almost daily I come in and press the tops out or down to help spread the canopy before trellising. The purple queen is truly the most impressive lady in the garden at this point. The Citradelic Sunset is a close second. Both plants are expressing 11 finger fan leaves and have very thick branches. I’ve had to raise my lights to 60” and everything has responded very well. They received about 4 cups each of compost tea this week. I backed off my watering schedule to help with the soil saturation.
