I have spent the week bending and tightening all the bondage straps to maintain the even canopy I'm after and allow for maximum footprint. I expect during this week she will get a net slung over her as I am running out of pot circumference to keep using ties. I need to work it all outwards now . She got a spray of boom boom spray this week after the heaviest HST session. It's a Foliar biostimulant that helps the plant recover from stress.. mixed 100ml to 0.5ml of boom spray and applied at lights on Still feeding just plain untreated tap water. About 1l a day ATM. Lights are at 60% and environmental figures are spot on. This is a super healthy plant . I am very very impressed with biotabs as a product. So easy ..

Green and Growing Up Great! She's Growing into her 4th week of Flower! She's Growing in my special blend of ProMix potting mix, a 1/2 bag of Earthworm castings and 2 light handfuls of Diatomaceous Earth mixed Up well for before transplanted! Diatomaceous Earth: Diatomaceous earth is made from the fossilized remains of tiny, aquatic organisms called diatoms. Their skeletons are made of a natural substance called silica. WHAT IS DIATOMACEOUS EARTH? In a nutshell, DE comes from the fossilised remains of small marine organisms called diatoms. Over a 30 million year period, these hard-shelled algae collected on the bottom of bodies of water, eventually forming into a type of sedimentary rock. Fast forwarding, it wasn’t until around 1836 that a German peasant Peter Kasten discovered the ivory-coloured, powdery substance while drilling a well in northern Germany. Ever since, the usefulness of DE for multiple purposes, including industrial and horticultural applications, has been well-reported. Just sprinkle some diatomaceous earth on top of your soil and watch mother nature's secret weapon work its magic.CONDITIONS THE SOIL When it comes to growing cannabis, everyone strives to provide the best soil to grow the best plants—but there’s always a way to make it even better. Making the soil a better medium is called soil conditioning, which is exactly what diatomaceous earth does. It works by improving the retention of moisture in your potting soil, holding a large amount of fluid and drying at a rate that’s much slower. This natural soil additive also helps to retain nutrients and allows for better oxygenation of the substrate. NATURALLY CONTROLS PESTS DE is an all-natural, safe-to-use substance that doesn’t harm the cannabis plant with toxic chemicals. The nature of diatomaceous earth makes it useful against most types of insect infestation you might be experiencing; and unlike chemical insecticides, insects can’t develop a resistance to the effects of DE. So once they’re gone, they’re gone for good. DE is an abrasive. and when used as an insecticide, it gradually scrapes away an insect’s exoskeleton, absorbs the fluids, and dehydrates insects and other critters to eventual death. IMPROVES PLANT STABILITY When using DE in your soil, it can be especially beneficial as it frees up nutrients so that they are made available to the plants as needed. This works via the silica content of DE being absorbed into the plant tissue, which helps improve the plant’s ability to respond and receive more nutrients as DE activates. This in turn results in greater yields and better stability under small pH fluctuations! https://divineseeds.net/ https://instagram.com/divine.seeds?igshid=osxe2v7en33v https://divineseeds.net/ Thanks Again to All my Friends, Family's, Teams, Sponsors, Followers and Subscribers!!! What a journey it has been from seed! I made a lot of mistakes in the first few weeks of this growing journey. I feel like I had a mini-crash after finishing the first year of grad school, and although I am growing cannabis as part of my research project, I haven't been the greatest at paying attention to it. This is not an excuse. It has actually been a learning opportunity. I realized that my body needs proper schedules to function and grow, just like a plant. The problems with the plant have really been my own problems. Let's just say that a plant may be the reflection of the grower. First, the light cycles were wrong and inconsistent. I thought that I could manually control the light schedule for the plants and be alright. However, I was wrong. My sleep schedule has been very inconsistent for the past few months. Mainly because we are living through a pandemic, and secondly because I am a graduate student 😂. How naive was it of me to think that a plant could follow my own rhythms? I guess it highlights my 'plant blindness.' Second, the light intensity was low and PH levels high. In the last five days, I have learned that plants are living organisms (I knew this, but my plant blindness is quick to dismiss it, I need to stop fighting these "plant voices" (signals)) that require a proper environment to grow, similar to humans. Of course, a plant is not human, but it is alive and living. It needs water, a regular schedule (light (active) /darkness (rest), oxygen, nutrients, and an overall good environment to grow. Concern about the size of my plant at five weeks, I decided to conduct a few experiments at home. Here are my notes: Friday, July 23, 2021, I took the plant out of the tent at 6:00 AM and placed it in front of my backyard window that faces the Eastside, perfect for sunrise. On that day, I had a few errands to run, and when I arrived home, it was 2:30 PM. The sun was now hitting the West side of my house, and I had to move the plant in front of my bedroom window. At around 7:00 PM, I went to look at the plant and noticed that its leaves were looking plumpy. So, I decided to take a timelapse to see what I would be able to record. During "magic hour" (sunset), I recorded and witnessed the plant moving with the rhythms of the sun. Plant, like humans, function at their best when they are synchronized with their circadian rhythm. The pandemic has definitely disoriented us to the point that it has disrupted all of our schedules. To this day, I feel tired from everything we have all been through; how could I possibly think that a plant would thrive with such a messed-up schedule? The time lapse made me realize that the plant needs some structure to thrive, and so do I. So, as much as I like to think that I can be disciplined and follow a plant's schedule, I cannot. So, I went to the store and bought the Globe Suite smart plug to automate and schedule the light cycle to 12hrs of light and 6 hours of darkness. Saturday, July 24, 2021, the plant woke up to the set schedule of the lights. I checked on the plant first thing in the morning, around 9:30 AM. The leaves look much greener and thicker than they did the day before. Sunday, July 25, 2021. I was away overnight and did not arrive home until 2 PM. The plant looks twice the size it was on Friday! Today, I will water the plant. I got a PH test kit and realized that the way that I measured the PH level, the first few weeks was wrong 🤦‍♀️🏽. I measured the PH correctly, to 5.9, and added some Reefertilizer grow nutrients to the water. I watered from the top, distributing the water evenly around the stem. My partner pointed to me that the lights seemed dim for the stage of the plant's life. So I had my lights set at 100 watts running at 20 % 😅. I realized that I had not increased the light intensity since the first few weeks of vegetation 🤦‍♀️🏽. So I increased the intensity to 100 watts running at 60%. Monday, July 26, 2021. First check-in 7:00 AM: The plant looks like it loves all of the new changes that I have made! It is finally growing 🤗 The sun is out, but it is not as intense as it should be because tiny particles of smoke are present in our air due to the wildfires, and they create a filter that makes the human eye see the sun blood red. It is quite apocalyptic. Regardless, I decided to take the plant out from the tent and record a time-lapse. It is fascinating how much movement plants have despite showing no noticeable signs of movement (to the human eye). Tuesday, July 27, 2021. It has been five days since I have made big changes to the plant's schedule and environment. The plant is finally showing good signs of growth, and its leaves colours have changed to a deep green. I am not watering the plant today, but I am spritzing it with water. I decided to take another time-lapse of the plant, but this time inside the tent. As I was setting up the tripod for my camera, I accidentally increased the humidifier 🤦‍♀️🏽. Luckily, I noticed within a reasonable timeframe and reduced the humidity and made the environment better. I increased the light intensity to 100 watts at 100%. The plant will stay in the tent all day today because it is raining ☔️.

Hey Growmies and welcome to Week 2! I'm absolutely thrilled with the progress, and the one twisted plant is probably due to stress or slightly genetic. The first seven days with 30 minutes of infrared light, or 15 minutes before and after the main light, are having a noticeable effect on the stem and its growth/thickness in all the plants; it's like they're on steroids. 📈 Current Conditions 🌡️ Day: 24,0-26,5 °C 🌡️ Night: 19-20°C 💨 Humidity: 60-65% 🌬️ VPD = 0.9-1.2 kPa 🔦 PPFD: 300 µmol (20/4 light cycle) 💡DLI:20

Week 3: The Big Move for Charlotte & Makayla The "Solo Cup Sisters" are officially leveling up! This week was all about transitioning the Northern Lights into their permanent homes. They’ve handled the shift like champs and are looking vibrant and healthy as they settle into the 10-gallon fabric bags. Growth & Vitals Charlotte: Currently standing at 100 mm (approx. 4 inches). She’s showing great vigor and tight node spacing. Makayla: Following close behind at 85 mm (approx. 3.3 inches). She might be the "little" sister for now, but her leaf structure is incredibly robust. Appearance: Both plants are sporting a deep, healthy green with no signs of transplant shock. The internodal development is exactly where I want it to be for future training. The Setup Medium: Using the "secret sauce" 50/50 organic garden soil and potting soil blend. Containers: 10-gallon fabric bags. These are perfect for providing the drainage and root aeration these girls need. Environment: They’ve been spending time on the deck to soak up the morning sun. I’m keeping a close eye on the High Plains weather—bringing them inside when the Colorado wind gets a bit too rowdy to ensure they don't get beat up. Strategy & Next Steps Training: I’ve got some LST (Low Stress Training) hooks ready to go. I’ll start gently guiding their growth once they establish their roots in the new medium. Trellis Prep: The plan is to let them grow into a trellis system set about 12 to 18 inches above the soil line. This should give us plenty of airflow and a manageable canopy. Nutrients: Sticking with the organic regimen. I’ll be introducing the FOOP line—Veg, Bloom, and Sweetener—on a weekly schedule once they’ve fully recovered from the transplant. **Note:** The focus for the next few days is purely on root establishment. I'm keeping the moisture levels consistent but being careful not to overwater while they adapt to the larger volume of soil. #GrowDiaries #NorthernLights #Cannabiscommunity #Homegrown #OrganicGardening #Week3 #TransplantDay**

Well if your following along my other diary you would know the very unfortunate news of my pound cake going herm. I think I may move the pound cake outside possibly I could keep running the diary but do not want to risk pollination. This papaya cookies is absolutely amazing the yield is high I didn’t do any LST or topping or even tucking of leaves. She grows large & in charge. The smells absolutely pungent I am not running a carbon filter and can smell it 40 feet from the front door. Check back next week to see just how fast she buds & remember it’s 4:20 somewhere

Our Zamnesia photoperiod plants have also started their journey into the magical flowering period, this is the first week. ---- The general environmental conditions are good, the heat has increased a bit again but for the first weeks of flowering it is not a big problem, let's remember to never exceed 27 degrees centigrade in the last 4 weeks to avoid jeopardizing the quality of the flowers. If necessary, open the growbox but never let it exceed 27-30 degrees where 30 is already a lot. The good thing is that as soon as the lights are turned off the change is already visible a bit and as autumn progresses we will also improve. The humidity is fluctuating but we try to control it with two dehumidifiers when necessary, pushing both possibly not into the growbox but directly into the room. (I dehumidify the room and the air in the growbox should also be dehumidified) - Our two Karen Kush plants had a bit of a hard time during the vegetative stage and I applied my emergency rule when a plant isn't doing very well. The plant that was having the most trouble was topped and is now about to send out 8 central tops and two lateral tops that were LSTed and have been branched out, really beautiful, great work, I told the guys at Zamensia that I was trying to come up with something and fingers crossed it seems I succeeded. A result that is obviously pleasing to the eye as well. Beautiful. This one is still in the vegetative stage in a separate small growbox. The second plant was also having a hard time, it seemed to be going into deficiency, it showed signs of over when I tried to recover so I gave it a good clean to give the plant less stuff to manage and now it seems we're going straight up well. She's flowering with the others. --- Technique chosen as I mentioned one of the two plants was left to vegetate, topping on the main central line up to 8 buds now growing. However, unlike the main lining, I left two side branches which also have some nice branching and I applied a symmetrical and pleasant LST. --- Feeding Program - The fertilizers are always Plagron and I am following the table that I generated on the site depending on the substrate chosen. Create your card and follow it, never be presumptuous my friend as I have been in the past, follow the card and look at the plants, not all need the same amount of fertilizer. We have arrived at the moment to give a good dose of ferrò in the first weeks of flowering, already of race life not sprayed but mixed with fertilizers. ---- https://plagron.com/en - Power Roots - 1ml/l - Alga Grow - 4 ml/l (Plant 1 in veg) - Alga Bloom - 4 ml/l (Plant in bloom) - Pure Zym - 1 ml/l - Sugar Royal - 1ml/l - Vita Race - 5 ml/l --- The 100% Organic pack by Plagron can be found on Zamnesia at the link: https://www.zamnesia.io /it/11457-pla gron-easy-pack-natural.html --- Dehumidifier is now running between 50% - 55 % / / Site Strain Description // Formidable genetics: These seeds contain the genes of Monster Bud Kush and White Widow. And here we are! CHOP DAY! This strain has been impressive and smells like a bag of oranges! Oh so lovely! This girl packed on the weight. Several branches are hanging and has caused some side branching to separate from the main stalk(my fault for cutting the scrog net). Will definitely be growing this strain again!

Day 22 22/07/24 Monday Nothing new to report. Starting to see them beautiful fans appear that's all 😁✌️ Day 23 23/07/24 Tuesday Feed today, giving them straight all nutes Inc flowering nutes. I will update the dose as they grow and develop a bigger hunger. (Not sure what's wrong with Overdose #2, bit mutated, we'll see how she gets on 😅) Video updates 👌💚 Day 26 26/07/24 Friday De-chlorinated watering pH 6 with 5ml calmag to 5L water. Watered each with 250ml and had small run off. I will continue to feed/water with small run offs to help prevent salt build ups. Video update.

Start of week 4 of flowering. Week 3 went well, even with temps reaching 35°c in the closet. I've since added another fan to circulate more air, temps have dropped down to 31°c. Despite the heat stress, the plants are growing rather well and bud sites are developing nicely. Light defoliation again this feeding. Based on the heat issues, I need to upgrade my exhaust fan, 100 CFM isn't enough to get ride of the heat.

This week was a little rocky. Two girls on the outer edges are good, but the middle one is drooping and foxtailing already. It's weird because my middle plant was larfy last run as well. I might push her to the corner and let her do her thing with less attention... because I just got a photoperiod runtz clone that's gonna need some space and perhaps its own light. LST seems to be going well for the other two though. Sometimes with autos, it's just a genetic thing. They can be temperamental girls sometimes.
