🍋🍒 Lemon Cherry Gelato Week 8 From Seed Week 4 Flower (12/12) The Room Is in Full Reproductive Mode ⸻ 🔁 Quick Recap — The Road to Week 4 12/12 from seed. No extended veg. Early structure built under restraint. Defoliation last week to open airflow and light pathways. And now? We are no longer initiating flowers. We are building them. Week 4 is the bridge between stretch and stacking. This is where architecture becomes yield. ⸻ 🌿 Structural Expression — Why These Girls Stand Out Lemon Cherry Gelato isn’t the tallest in the room. But structurally? Among the most dominant. Wide lateral branching. Thick stems. Uniform top distribution. Deep, lush green coloration. Post-defoliation response was extremely strong. No stall. No sulking. No nutrient imbalance signals. You wouldn’t guess they were stripped last week. That tells us: • Root system is robust. • Environmental stability is real. • Carbohydrate reserves were sufficient. • Stress recovery window was optimal. Week 4 recovery like this sets up week 6 density. ⸻ 🌡️ Environmental Analysis — High Energy, High Demand Current conditions: • Canopy temp: ~28°C • RH: ~70% • CO₂: 1000+ ppm • PPFD: 800 → 1300 µmol/m²/s This is a metabolically aggressive room. At ~28°C with enriched CO₂, plants can process higher photon density efficiently. But week 4 flower adds a new layer: Bud mass is forming. Transpiration shifts. Microclimate inside the canopy thickens. 70% RH at this density is not ideal long-term. Not panic territory — but now it’s a countdown. Over the next 7–10 days, gradual RH reduction will be necessary as stacking intensifies. Airflow and undercanopy lighting are currently preventing stagnation — and it shows. No mold indicators. No soft tissue collapse. No stress clawing. But vigilance increases from here. ⸻ 💡 Lighting Strategy — Controlled Intensity Main lighting intensity has increased with canopy height. At week 4: 1300 µmol/m²/s is high. But with CO₂ enrichment and no bleaching, they’re tolerating it. We are not chasing light for ego. We are watching leaf posture. Currently: • No tacoing. • No upper bleaching. • No stress fade. That means intensity is within metabolic capacity. ⸻ 🔦 Undercanopy Lighting — Minor Burn Explained Let’s address it clearly. One branch showed minor localized burn from undercanopy proximity. Why now in week 4? Because: • Bud mass increases reflectivity. • Leaf angle changes. • Tissue sensitivity rises during reproductive build phase. The under-light hit a close node. Symptoms: • Slight edge burn. • No necrotic spread. • No systemic reaction. Action: • Light repositioned. • Distance corrected. • Continued daily inspection. Response: She stabilized immediately. This is why daily plant handling matters. Yes, we physically take them out. Yes, it’s work. Yes, it’s worth it. ⸻ 💧 Root Zone & Feeding — Transition to Potassium Demand Soil EC: ~0.9 Watering EC: ~2.4 pH: ~6.5 Medium temp: ~22.5°C Moisture: ~94% with active dry-backs In week 4 flower, demand shifts: Nitrogen importance decreases. Potassium and phosphorus importance increase. Micronutrient balance becomes critical. Dry-back rhythm is stable. No EC stacking. No salt stress. No overwatering symptoms. They are drinking aggressively. That’s what you want entering bud expansion phase. ⸻ 🌸 Pistil Development — Now It Means Something Different In week 1, pistils signal initiation. In week 4, pistil density signals stacking potential. Right now we see: • Dense white pistil clusters. • Even site distribution. • No re-veg behavior. • No hormonal confusion. Flower genes are not just active. They are stabilized. The plant has committed to reproduction. What happens in the next 10–14 days determines final structure weight. ⸻ The Room Is Alive — But Heavier From the time-lapse frames: The room looks thicker now. More mass between nodes. Less empty space. Leaves are still praying. Stems are supporting weight confidently. No structural bending yet. We move plants daily: • Watering outside tent. • Full inspection. • Leaf repositioning. • Light proximity adjustments. This is not automation farming. This is hands-on cultivation. The room breathes. We respond. ⸻ What To Expect — Weeks 5–6 Stretch will fully slow Vertical stacking will accelerate Calyx swelling will begin RH must gradually drop Light intensity may need micro-adjustments Trichome heads will begin visible formation This is density window opening. ⸻ 🚫 What Not To Expect No dramatic fade yet No final terpene expression No harvest timing predictions No heavy amber trichomes We are mid-race. ⸻ 🙏 Gratitude — Because This Is Shared To GrowDiaries — for hosting the documentation. Photography is part of the story — it’s how we share the fine textures, the glow, and the quiet details that words can’t always capture. I’ve also started experimenting with photo stacking — a technique where multiple images, each taken at a slightly different focus point, are layered together to create one perfectly sharp image from front to back. It’s not digital enhancement or AI; it’s pure photography — a way to reveal the plant’s beauty in microscopic depth, from trichome to petal. You’ll even see a few shots of "ghost me" capturing the shots — camera, lens, setup — because every grow deserves not just to be cultivated, but documented like art.

So far the floraflex potpro system has been paying off! My time in the garden went from 90 minutes to 15 minutes and the results speak for themselves. Since theyre all still in veg im expecting some big girls. Tried to hop on the no calmag schedule but some didnt take to well to it. So i dropped my dosage back to 3gr per gal of B1 and B2. New growth looks nice and healthy on the affected plant so i might start raising the dosage

These girls are doing great. Running out of room to move my light so hopefully they're done growing up lol. Small nugs are starting to form and the smell its starting to get strong smells very nice. Got a bigger dehumidifier to help with humidity was staying between 50-70 the last couple weeks finally getting down to 40. They're appetite is really ramping up now and they're drinking about a gallon a day between the three of em.

This is looking like the final week on the mango, they are 2 weeks into flush now and the colours are so vibrant! I am off on holiday in September and need ten days to dries these before hand, so I maybe forced to crop next week Friday. We will see how it goes. I have been checking the plants all over for milky and amber trichomes. So far I can say the mango has about 80% milky 15% clear and 5% amber..... she's not far off 🤤. The amnesia has about 75% milky 24% clear and 1% amber. These do vary between top and bottom of plants of course. But take them as an average. The amnesia is sooooo fat! And I am in love with tho colours of the mango. Will keep you all updated and add some proper photos of the final plants on harvest (without L.E.D light), that will all be next week. See you then!

This genetics requires a lot of heavy feeding and heavy light and a lot of space because they gonna grow like beasts. In about 79 days from seed they were ready . One of the plants had small buds but full of trichomes, rich in terpenes with a nice smooth Latte creamy smell, the other had fluffier buds with more hazey smell

Took out second Gator Breath plant which is even more incredible in terms of crystallization smell and buds size then previously cutted same strain plants. For the Total eclipse i am completely disappointed on the results: The plant may look quite potent but in real yu simply have no buds after trimming, tons of small leaver but no good material. I knew this was sativa hybrid but still.. You can see the comparing of two strains on the photos down here...Maybe I did something wrong during the growing, gonne ask expert-brothers on forum later.

Looks like I fell into the classic coco trap — when it’s still too early to water to runoff. You either overwater, or the pH in the root zone keeps rising every day. The result is obvious: #4 and #6 got calcium and phosphorus lockout because I didn’t water to runoff right after transplant. They’re still recovering. #3, on the other hand, is doing great — you can tell by how perky she looks. She was transplanted later, so she got proper runoff earlier than the others. It literally took just 2–3 days without runoff to cause issues. Overall, these are just early-stage problems that won’t matter later. We’ll probably remove those big leaves anyway since they’ll be in the shade (or maybe not, if they’re still functional when side lighting kicks in — then the marks might stay 😄). Plants are already adapting to the watering routine, and root zone pH should stabilize soon. Feed (input): EC 1.5 / pH 5.4 (today tested 4.9 just for fun) Runoff: EC 1.1–1.2 / pH 6.4–6.7 Experimenting with VPD — was around 1.3–1.35 most of the week, now pushed to 1.5. Growth rate is decent, leaf color recovered to bright green, no stunting. Interesting note — plant #6 has a very unusual branch structure, never seen side branches attach like this. Doesn’t want to grow upward at all 😄

Think I’m going to have to harvest maybe a little early as I will not be around to water the plant.🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ bit to sure if it’s ready or not. What do you think is it to early and how early ?

So this is day 40 of flowering,I had a slight PH issue with the Lionheart (Granddaddy Crack) plant which is the light green plant, back right. I was able to fix the PH issue by flushing with 6.0 Ph'd water. Other than that everything is looking beautiful. Lot's of trichome development and the buds are setting nicely. The Malawi plant at the back left (tall 100% sativa) is also starting to set beautifully. Malawi has a long flowering time (up to 70 days!) which means the colas will be huge hopefully.
