Week 8 Flower Flush flush flush 💦🚽💦🚽💦 It's extremely important to flush for at least 14 days when using synthetic nutes, or any bottled nutes in my opinion. The aim is to make her cannibalize (fade) as much as possible before she's chopped. By doing this, she's using up her stored nutrients, causing the leaves to eventually die. The better the flush the cleaner the smoke 👌💨 even when in an organic set up, the plant needs to be nicely faded before being harvested. Otherwise she's still full of nutrients. I still feel I'll be able to get an even better flush when I eventually make the switch to RO water, as my tap water holds a ppm value of approx 150. It's not too much, but 0 is always better. She was taken down on Day 57 flower, after a 16 Day flush. I didn't want to take her any further as she was quite stressed being so close to the light. So to avoid getting seeds I waited until she had a beautiful fade before giving her the chop ✂️ I always take my girls down about 30mins before the light turns on so there is minimal chlorophyll production in the plant. This is to ensure the best smell, taste and overall burn after drying and curing. A subtle but very sweet-ish tropical fruit skin kind of smell to her. Her buds are super dense and covered in trichomes. I trimmed off all fan leaves and then each branch was hung in my drying box and placed in a cool area. She was dry after 6 days and ready to be dry trimmed and jarred for curing. I'll post those pics with the harvest update! Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺

Edit from 19th May. Literally 00:09 Pre-Flowering. Fat Banana looks like Hermie. Royal Critical = clean pre-flower. Edit from 19th May. 16:26 Fat Banana had balls sack and pistils growing all over the place. I nuked everything that had balls on it. I left only top node with pistils. Royal Critical is full of pistils, no balls. Now I wish I had photoperiod seeds instead of automatics. I would give Critical 1 extra week in veg. She is around 10-15cm smaller then Fat Banana. I switched the lights back to 400W. Edit from 20th May. 14:45 I think 32C is maximum what these plants can handle. With 600W I was reaching 34C on some top leaves and that could possibly turn the Fat Banana into hermit (she was the tallest). I open the tent a little (front doors), I put big-ass fan on second gear blowing strong wind through the mesh-window of a tent. I put the lights straight up to the ceiling, I literally can't put them any higher. Fat banana is now 58cm tall and around 80cm away from the light. Royal Critical is now 41cm tall and around 100cm away from the light. 50% Humidity 28C under the canopy/on the ground under the leaves 31C Air temperature. Fat Banana fan leaves temperature: 28.5C Fat Banana center/middle of the plant: 30.9C Royal Critical fan leaves temperature: 27.5C Royal Critical center/middle of the plant: 27.8C NOTE: Royal Critical ugly/yellow leaves have higher temp: 29-30C The rest of small plants range from 28 and 32C Surface area/soil temperature DRY: 35C Surface/Soil temp. Such a beautiful week! They went straight into flowering and at the same time the growth stage is still visible. Good potential for large plants. I imagine they will finish in ca. 4-5 weeks. I'm still not sure what's the cause for the discoloration and burnings on one of the girls. I suspect lack of Nitrogen. I will be supplementing with Bio-Grow from BioBizz. We cut her early due to a block off in the autopot system.. but she was frosty as a mofo for being cut way to early and the taste was surprisingly very sweet with a piney/spicy kind off aroma and taste

Start of week 5. Week 4 went well, bud site development is going great, she's gaining size and weight, the smell is like fresh greenery, almost like walking in the spring forest.

This will be one of my submissions for the 2023- 34 Street Grow Cup, Can’t wait 🇨🇦👊❤️ I started as usual by soaking my seeds for about 6 hours in a glass of distilled water, then planted directly into the substrate about a 1/2 inch into the starter pot. I dialed my light back to about 100 watts from the wall, and raised it to about 40 inches above the pots. I covered the pots with domes, and set my humidifier to run non-stop. 30 hours later , they had all sprouted ❤️

June 14: this Sunday Punch EV is a very fast growing plant that can handle some cool weather. The ruderalis genetics from the autoflower used to create this fast flowering (Early Version) add some toughness that make it well suited to short season areas. Likes to stretch too. 😎 it was to be a 16 cola manifold but it has grown so fast i realized I can also match another 8 colas from the next lower node. So i did that final round of topping this morning and we’ll see how it goes. Added second layer of Scrog net to stabilize it and keep the fan leaves from shading the growth tips. June 15: did the weekly foliar spray with Extreme Blend this morning. Rained last couple days which cleared the air of smoke and now it’s a nice sunny Sunday.

Hey now, so I am happy I finally decided to run a separate tent for seedlings. It was damn near impossible running 2 humidifiers 24x7 to keep everyone happy. I got 1 large humidifier running 24x7 in my new 2x2x3 and even with my spider farmer sf1000, and exhaust running nonstop, I am maintaining 80% rh and she is loving it as is the gorilla girl auto. She is still growing in pro mix seedling organic blend and plain water every 2-3 days. My plan is to transplant her on day 18 to an airpot full of coco coir, then top her on day 21. If all goes well I will top her twice again on day 28ish, and then just lst for about 3-5 days. I think I trained the acid dough auto for far too long, and I will adjust with this one. Planning to just lst the top 4 colas for 3-5 days to keep them from becoming dominant and then just light defoliation throughout the grow if necessary. I also just received a new grow light in the mail from Mars Hydro which I will be testing out for them on this grow once she is ready for flowering. I’ve heard you’re supposed to flush with 3x the container volume, however that would be around 57 litres for a 5 gallon pot which seems absurd. I didn’t record the amount but I took my time and flushed with at least 30 litres. I will now continue to flush until harvest on 10th April by which point she should have faded nicely and used up any residual nutes. I read that the each time you water/irrigate you draw oxygen into the root zone and this promotes growth and in turn helps to increase yield and so I will endeavor to water her twice per day now until harvest. Well I'm a bit upset last week I ended up dropping my ph meter in a tank of nutes I was mixing and by the time I got it out the meter was junk. I was planning on flushing the crystal but had to wait another week for the meter. I suppose the good thing to take from this was I found out why I was having issues with my plants. When the new ph meter came in I went to check my run off and my nutes that I had all ready mixed up. It turns out that my meter i had been using this whole grow was off by about -2-2.5 so this whole time I had been feeding the plants at around 3ph smfh. I cant believe they look how they do knowing what went on this whole time. Fastbuds crystal meth is 3days into flush and i will be cutting it down this weekend most likely. Mephisto hubbabubbasmelloscope is smelling like sweet sweet candy and is thick in resin Bighead seeds freeze berry/ blueberry crumble has a dank pungent stank to it and also is frosty but larrfy Big bomb is still growing thick and have bud sites everywhere Now I'm ready for the next batch and ready to get dialed in!

Buds are progressing....but not fat like my other grows, hopefully it will swell up and pack on load in the last week's of the grow.

Hi guys, another week started....update comes not at the start of it but her we go. I am estimating they will still get 3-4 weeks max. The smell is already amzing, clearly citrus note in fron with something "sweet and fruity" there. Buds are very sticky and slight changes in colours are noticable on the bud. I was hoping for a certain ammount in the end, as I put much time into these ladies, but I guess I wont quite reach it. BUT I will most definetly be rewarded with some amazing buds with lovely flavour. I can tell that juts from smelling them..... I really want to see them finished beautifully, but I am also anticipating the next run which will be some long awaited blue cheese, lemon tree and I think white widdow, just because I love it still. So far I didnt see any pollination which is a huge relief. I still smoke with that contains seeds, bt lets be honest, taste is not the same. If I could wish for one thing it would be the ladies getting really bold now during their last stage. The strawberry really exploded then and the gelatos after being slow during big heat now seem to "recover" and get fatter. One thing that seem clear to me is that the LCG doesnt like temperature being too high. During the last weeek and a half it was very hot here and it caused the plants to bloom very very slowly. Now that temperature is below 29, they are blooming way faster. So I would recommend to lower light intensity to keep temperature acceptable if possible. I wuld have loved to grow these ladies with full light intensity, but actally I am going with 50%.
