Skywalker OG — Legends of the 12/12 Galaxy Week 7 From Seed | Week 2 Flower Structural Defoliation + Clip Release + Stretch Acceleration ⸻ 🌡️ Environment Snapshot (Current Reality) • 🌡️ Day Temp: ~28°C • 💧 RH: ~65% • ⚡ EC: ~2.9 • pH: ~6.5 • 📏 Height: 40–80 cm • 💡 LED (multi-layer canopy + under-canopy) On paper? Some growers panic at 28°C in flower. In practice? Understanding beats numbers. ⸻ 🍃 LED, Leaf Temperature & VPD (Why 28°C Is Not “Too Hot”) Under LED: • No infrared radiation blast like HPS • Leaf surface temp typically 2–4°C cooler than room So: • Room ≈ 28°C • Leaf ≈ 24–26°C • RH ≈ 65% 👉 Leaf VPD sits beautifully in early–mid flower range. And the plants confirm it: • Deep green tone • No tacoing • No stress curl • No clawing • Strong praying posture • Internode stacking consistent The leaves are not just “nice.” They are metabolically comfortable. ⸻ 🌿 Defoliation — What Actually Happened I didn’t trim for aesthetics. I reset the architecture. From the timeline photos: Before: • Dense interior • Lower growth competing • Air pockets blocked • Light penetration limited After: • Clear lower third (true lollipop) • Secondary branches prioritized • Top energy redirected upward • Under-canopy airflow massively improved And the removed leaf pile? That tells the story of biomass management, not plant stress. Very important: The structure after defoliation still looks balanced — not skeletal. That means you removed intelligently, not emotionally. ⸻ 🔩 Clip Removal — The Branch Memory Effect Now let’s talk about something many growers don’t understand. When you use clips or branch spreaders: • You temporarily manipulate auxin distribution • You redirect apical dominance • You force lateral exposure Once removed? The plant reacts in 24–72 hours. From your timeline screenshots: • Branches begin to arc upward • Nodes reorient toward light • Vertical dominance partially reasserts • But structure remains widened This is perfect timing to remove clips: Week 2 flower stretch phase. Why? Because now: • The branch has lignified enough to hold structure • The stretch will “lock in” the new angles • You avoid late-flower snapping risk You can already see: The tops are reclaiming verticality while keeping spacing. That is textbook. ⸻ 🌱 The Burned Leaves (Under-Canopy Lighting) I saw the small localized tip burns. Important observations: • Not systemic • Not progressing • Mostly lower / under-canopy exposure • Slight edge crisping from proximity to under-light This is photonic intensity + proximity — not nutrient burn. Your EC at 2.9 is high compared to your other girls, yes. But here’s the key: They are eating it. Signs of overfeeding would show as: • Uniform tip burn across canopy • Dark clawing • Slowed growth • Salt buildup symptoms You have none of that. Instead: • Vigorous stretch • Praying posture • Uniform leaf tone So the EC is higher because: This phenotype is demanding more during stretch. That’s not excess. That’s appetite. ⸻ 🚀 The Stretch Now let’s talk genetics. Week 2 flower is just the beginning for these. Expect: • 1.5–2x final stretch potential • Continued vertical gain next 10–14 days • Later pistil stacking compared to indica-leaners And yes — i may need to raise the LEDs. At 60 cm now? They are not done. The fact they are praying constantly tells me: They want more light — not less. But we watch: If distance drops too much, you’ll see leaf flattening before tacoing. That’s your early warning. ⸻ Two Plants — Two Personalities You can clearly see: One Plant : • More structured • Tighter node stacking • Slightly thicker leaf The other Plant : • More vertical aggression • Strong apical reclaim after clip removal • Haze-like frame expansion This is why running multiple phenos is beautiful. We’re not just growing. We’re studying expression. ⸻ 📈 What To Expect Next Week Expect: • Continued stretch (especially haze leaner) • First real pistil clustering • Stem thickening • Faster water uptake • Slight EC hunger spike Do Not Expect Yet: • Bud swelling • Calyx stacking • Resin explosion • Final leaf posture We are still in transition. This is architectural week — not production week. ⸻ ❤️ And The Leaves… You’re right. They are beautiful. Wide, defined serrations. Strong petiole angles. No mottling. No interveinal chlorosis. No stress striping. They look metabolically confident. That’s the best compliment a plant can receive. ⸻ 🙏 Gratitude Section To everyone: • The OGs who’ve been here since seed • The new growers learning through mistakes and wins • The silent readers • The loud critics • The Grow Diaries community • The platform hosting the journey • The sponsors supporting education • And every single person watching this experiment unfold This is not just a grow. It’s documentation. It’s learning. It’s transparency. Photography is part of the story — it’s how we share the fine textures, the glow, and the quiet details that words can’t always capture. I’ve also started experimenting with photo stacking — a technique where multiple images, each taken at a slightly different focus point, are layered together to create one perfectly sharp image from front to back. It’s not digital enhancement or AI; it’s pure photography — a way to reveal the plant’s beauty in microscopic depth, from trichome to petal. You’ll even see a few shots of "ghost me" capturing the shots — camera, lens, setup — because every grow deserves not just to be cultivated, but documented like art. 3/25/2023 Week 6- Day 1 of Veg (Day 52 overall) Added my first between changes SILICA Top offs. Was worried that when you add it to pre mixed Nutes that it can make the whole thing turn into a gummy looking substance. I was ready to drain the system and start it over for the week if needed, but no issues adding it to the tank. the Silica going into the Res didn't gummy the system up, it did drop my PH by quit a bit causing me to have to bring it back in balance. 36 Gallons in the Tank Silica Add .5mil/Gal = 18Mil I topped some that needed to be topped, I defoliated some that needs to be defoliated. Since I have moved into Week 6 I have increased the light intensity up to just over 500 maxing it out for Veg Cycle. Next increase will be Week 1 of Flower. 3/26/2023 Week 6- Day 2 of Veg (Day 53 overall) All conditions looked great. Other than me not putting one of the humidifiers back right which means it didn't work last night so Humidity was lower than I like. But got the Humidifier back on it's stand correctly and it is now pumping away. With that I decided to give the plants a day off from any stresses, no topping, no FIMing, no Defoliation for today. Just some good old soaking up the light rays and the ability to get all the Nutes they would like.. 3/27/2023 Week 6- Day 3 of Veg (Day 54 overall) Looking kind of Bushy today, so I defoliated some, and topped some. 3/28/2023 Week 6- Day 4 of Veg (Day 55 overall) PH was a little lower than I like 5.74 so I added a few Mil of PH UP and brought it back up to 5.94. Not much else at this stage, just I topped a little and I defoliated a little. 3/29/2023 Week 6- Day 5 of Veg (Day 56 overall) Topped a little, Defoliated a little Watched them grow!! 3/30/2023 Week 6- Day 6 of Veg (Day 57 Overall) Main action today was breaking down my old tent and setting up a new tent and getting my second RDWC system setup and ready for clones. I Topped a little, I Defoliated some and started taking a good look at what I would like to take for clones in the coming days. I have a few bottom branches that look every promising for my clone material on each. 3/31/2023 Week 6- Day 7 of Veg (Day 58 overall) #3 is at 16" Tall #2 is at 13" Tall

Hello, my green connoisseur! The moment we've all been eagerly awaiting has arrived—the Harvest Report for our botanical queen, Jealousy, in the Power Buds competition. This has been a journey filled with anticipation, and now, we stand on the shores of botanical triumph. Jealousy, in her final act, bestowed upon us a generous yield of 195 grams of dry bud. It's like a cornucopia of green abundance, a testament to the meticulous care and strategic decisions made throughout this green saga. Each nugget is a jewel, a culmination of weeks of growth, love, and dedication. But the story doesn't end there. Jealousy, in her love for the trim bin, gifted us a beautiful golden pollen. This precious powder, transformed into ash via the French Cannoli style. Also gave me a Charas/Finger Ash ball. It's like capturing the essence of the plant in a tangible form—a botanical relic that encapsulates the spirit of our green empress. Now, let's talk about the auditory symphony that accompanied the harvest. The sound, reminiscent of a tree making timber, is like nature's applause for the bountiful harvest. It's the soundtrack to a successful cultivation venture, a melody that resonates through the grow room, echoing the grand finale of this green symphony. The drying process, carried out over two weeks with a temperature of 17°C and humidity at 58%, is like the slow and methodical crafting of a fine wine. Each day, the buds undergo a transformative journey, evolving from freshly harvested flowers to dried and cured masterpieces. And now, the pièce de résistance—the preservation of terps with the Grove Bag featuring Terploc technology. It's like locking the aromatic essence of Jealousy in a time capsule, ensuring that every toke carries the full spectrum of flavors and aromas. The anticipation for the smoke report is palpable, as the strawberry candy profile promises an exquisite sensory experience. Reflecting on this entire journey, from germination to harvest, it's like turning the pages of a botanical epic. The decisions, the challenges, and the moments of sheer joy have shaped the destiny of our green empress. It's a narrative that will be retold, shared, and cherished in the annals of our horticultural adventures. As we conclude this harvest report, let's extend our heartfelt thanks and shout-outs to Zamnesia, Plagron, Grow Diaries, and the vibrant community. Your support and contributions have been the guiding lights on this extraordinary green expedition. To my fellow contestants and growers, may your own harvests be as abundant, flavorful, and joyous as this one. Here's to the culmination of our shared green dreams, the thrill of the harvest, and the anticipation of what lies ahead. Stay green, stay inspired, and keep cultivating those dreams! With true love comes happiness. Always believe in yourself and always do things expecting nothing in return, with an open heart. Be a giver, and the universe will respond in ways you can’t even dream of . Friendly reminder: all you see here is pure research and for educational purposes only. Missed a week posting. I feel like the buds are forming slow. I have a lot of leaves that are blocking bud sites but am hesitant to cut too much.

Took off single and double blades leaves. Reveg growth continues to look less and less like flowering growth. Repotted the smaller clone into a 5 gallon smart pot with a mix of happy frog soil, perlite and peat moss. Feeding plants once a week now. This plant is super bushy since it came off a flowering plant. I will be taking clones off this plant.

Today is day 40 and she looks like she's starting her third week of flower which is crazy.. as you can see she's starting to produce trichomes already which is awesome... I haven't done anything to her and I think that's how I'm going to grow from now on I'm just going to let them grow naturally because it's the fastest for one and two it's easier lol ... We will see in the next few weeks what she turns into.. I'm really hoping that the outcome is great as I mentioned this is my first time going all organic so I'm not used to the size of the plant but it is early yet so time will tell.. thank you Sensible Seeds for these genetics and I highly recommend you guys checking them out.. hope everybody is doing well God bless and happy growing ✌️😎 P.S don't mind the little runt of a plant you see in the video that is neither Sensible Seeds genetics it is just a seed that turned out to be a runt that I'm letting grow out for the heck of it.. it in no way has anything to do with this company.. thanks for checking it out until next time ✌️ https://www.sensibleseeds.com/

Day 71 - Starting week 11 and still not much going on. Gave her water and nutes yesterday and just letting her fatten up as much as possible before chopping. From the looks of her, she’s still got a couple weeks but starting to show quite a bit of cloudy trichs but still quite a few clear. Day 72 - No major issues still, she is definitely foxtailing and not looking like the buds are gonna be as fat and dense and they could be but thinking it was either because of the heat we had for a bit or could of been from stress when I did the heavy defoliation or just a combo of them both but she’s for sure stinky and sticky and should still produce a good amount. I did give her two gallons of water and nutes today and thinking about just straight water from here on out. Day 73 - Still nothing new today but I am noticing that most of the colas aren’t really fattening up much but continuing to foxtail so might end up chopping her this weekend, especially since she’s pretty much all cloudy trichs in there with just a few sporadic clear and ambers. Gonna give her a few more days to see what happens and decide what to do this weekend. Day 74 - She’s most likely going to be getting the chop tomorrow. She’s foxtailing pretty bad now and I looked all over and couldn’t find any clear trichs, all cloudy with scattered amber. So instead of her continuing with the foxtailing, I’ll harvest her and salvage what I can. Day 75 - Nothing new, decided to give her another day or two before chopping, might end up doing it on Sunday. Day 76 - Still not ready to chop this girl yet so gonna give her a little more time and might not do it tomorrow either. Might end up giving her another week. Every time I think I’m ready to chop, I’ve been told to give her another week so that’s what I’m gonna do. Day 77 - The end of week 11 and giving her some more time before chopping. Not sure when I’m gonna cut her down yet but she keeps throwing out more and more pistils so letting her go at least another week.

I started the week by flushing the plants. It was time. The oldest two plants have two weeks max. The run off started at 1900ppm and went down to 400ppm. By that time I had pumped about 60 litres through the four of them. The tap water is already 300ppm, so this is a good level I think. The leaves are responding. I can see the nutrients being drawn out of them. They are withdrawing. I am also looking at trichomes daily now. The mature plants are 1/3 clear, 2/3 cloudy, with a few amber. The younger plants are 2/3 clear, 1/3 cloudy, with no amber. I couldn’t wait any longer. I cropped and chopped 3 buds from under the canopy and dried them slowly on a metal plate over boiling water. It took 1/2 hour, but it produced a nicely dried pile of smelly weed. If I lost any potency in the process we didn’t notice. We got really really stoned. If this sample is any indication, I think it will easily be my best grow yet in terms of potency. Now I’m curious about the weight.

Well some information needs to be updated! But in the mean time I’ll leave this here to indicate false heights, temps and nutes are entered, basically copied from last upload. Anyways my dumbass didn’t have all my branches supported properly. So probably back on the night of 140 we had a violent wind storm. I got back on day 142 to make repairs and wash off the plants.

8/15 Yesterday the girls finally got some sun. They're flowering. Like crazy. I do need to do an application of BT once this rain stops. It just started up again. Went back over and things were dry. I decided to hold off watering until tomorrow when I feed. 8/16 Watered the 50 2 gallons, 10 1 gallon, and the rest about 1.5 gallons. I fed a pint to the ten, 2.5 pints to the 30 and 2.5 pints to the FIMMed bluecheese that looked hungry. This way I can tell if they can handle larger doses. I'd like to keep it as small and simple as possible. Gave me a fright this morning when a sheriff pulled in while I was feeding. He was on his way to a neighbors but it looked like he was just admiring things lol. I'm all legals there's no problem there. I put off spraying BT last night because dad had a couple ppl drinking and I didnt want to interact with them. Plus it was to early. The sun hadn't crested the barn yet. At least now u know what time to go spray. I'm finding some lady bugs and I killed my FIRST aphid of the season. I still have caterpillar holes in some leaves though so I might as well hit them with the BT (even though I actively hunt them). No one ever said growing cannabis is easy. Oh and my soil must be BANGING because I found some mushrooms growing in it and like a mycelium web which is awesome. 8/17 This was a quick morning due to an upcoming doctor's appointment. Removed some grass that had grown on the tar from spilt soil as it had diseases on it. I don't want that spreading to my plants. I have one blueberry cheese that I FIMed with four cola's that doesn't have as many leaves and has dropped a few leaves but looking at ot from the other side it doesnt look as open. I know that these girls are transitioning and this is the time I lose leaves. However some plants still seem totally green with no problems despite flowering. I'm wondering if it's a specific phenome thing. I also noticed that the caterpillars are still there and this morning would've been a great time to apply BT but I didn't have time and since I upped the feed I didnt want to do two things at once and have a problem and not know what it is. 8/18 Rained overnight. Plants were soaked. It's not raining now. Plants are definitely overwatered. I'm losing a few more leaves that are yellowing on the bottom interior of a couple plants. Some of it could be from the transition to flower ir the large amount of rain we've been getting. At least my drainage is really good. I need to pull the fence out and co soder cutting a pallet I. Half to better utilize space. I know I say this stuff all the time and I'm not sure it NEEDS to be done. What DOES need to be done sooner rather than later is to apply BT. I can see the damage from them. It's not bad but I want to avoid botrytis as much as possible so those pillars have got to go. Otherwise I've never had plants this healthy and it's been a real ahotty season. Boy those 10th planet's are all mice and green and healthy looking. I'm really looking forward to flowering these strains and see what they can do. I'm already greatly impressed with what I've experienced so far. UPDATE: Wasn't raining earlier then it Rained off and on but just a light steady rain that plants love but it's 3:30 now and it's pouring. Guess I won't be applying BT tonight. We need some sunshine but unfortunately I can't control the weather. Just sitting here thinking I was wondering about using Plant Doctor preventatively just due to the steady rain but I noticed mushrooms growing in my soil and since I haven't not9ced any type of fungal problem I'll revisit that idea another time. Polycarbonate roof or even some form clear plastic and a rough frame of pvc or extra lumber. Theoretically I believe I could move them all indoors for a little bit if need be but that would he a huge pain in the ass. Honestly I've got great drainage and my watering seems pretty good so I might be alright doing nothing. We shall see knock on wood. 8/19 Plants were soaked this A.M. I took a video and uploaded it (which takes forever). It's sunny though today and after the sun comes out after a period of rain the plants grow like crazy. Everything is flowering nicely. I think I can go to the end of October. I talked to a lady today that said she'd already harvested some of her peanut butter breath clones. It's my buddies mom and if you look back at one of my diaries NY mendo breath was done in September. These girls have a ways to go but the are explosively flowering which is good. It's easy to tell which strain is which. Pheno's vary but the flowers on the plants are easy to distinguish from one another. I've also never had plants stay this healthy green this long! Previously I'd have multiple pests, wpm and maybe septoria at this point. I think I've upped my game. Knock on wood. My worst problem now is worrying when to spray BT for the miner caterpillar problem. I have wasps, lady bugs and a shit ton of birds from the 3 bird feeders. I see them dart in and out of my cage. Chances are I'll spray BT tonight and take some pictures if it's nice out. 8/20 The sun is finally out. Bags are still heavy. Looks like it Rained again. I found caterpillar shit so I REALLY need to get that BT applied. I also saw minor damage to a budsite on a low hanging branch. Looks like those fucking earwigs bur I'm probably being paranoid. I also had to remove the rope that I was using to support "the big cheese" because with all this wind and rain it "rubbed" against the stem and caused an injury. I don't need that now anyway with the trellis up. Bids are developing rapidly and stacking up nicely. I have a couple plants that aren't as green as the others bit it may be do to all the rain we've been getting. I think I need to increase the volume of liquid i give my plants when I feed. Next feed I'll be doing at LEAST a quart. Due to my w8fes illness I haven't been able to spend as much time there as I should. No fungal stuff "YET". I have seen some leaves that show the plants have been over watered. Drainage is good though. I forgot to upload the video from this morning and it's uploading super slow so I'm gonna have to upload it tomorrow 8/21 Awesome. Went to town and left without going to my doctors appointment. Good job man. 👏 ANYWAY....My phone was dead when I went to town so I coukd only upload one video. I'll have to do the others later. I mixed up a batch of bt 1 tablespoon with half gallon of water (as that's what this hand mister holds. I went around the cage and sprayed every angle. Then I went to each individual plant and sprayed while spreaking the branches to make sure I got the interior. I used almost the entire half gallon so I'm hoping this will help. Bags were heavy but doesn't take them long to dry out. I'm wondering if the yellowing that is moving up (on the small purple punch and the one in the tote) is because they need more nutes, they're transitioning to flower and really stacking up or because they've been over watered with all this rain. Opinions are more than welcome. I'll check the girls tonight and if the are wet enough I'll feed and at a higher volume. If they aren't ill wait till they get their full water. MY WIFE WAS HAVING AN "MEDICAL PROBLEM AND SO ON THE WAY TO THE DOCTORS I CHECKED THE PLANTS. THE 10TH PKAMETS WRRE DROOPING. I QUICKLY MIXED UP ENOUGH TO FEED EVERYTHING AT LEAST A GALLON AND THEN GAVE THE ONES THAT WERE THE WORST LIKE AN EXTRA HALF GALLON. JUST ENOUGH TILL WE GET OUT OF THE ER THEN I'LL GIVE THEM THE OTHER HALF OF WATER AND ILL FEED THEM. AT LEAST MY WIFE IS OK. UPDATE: Took my wife to the hospital. They did a shit ton of nothing which is par for the course. However, luckily for me (yeah right) I got back early enough to give the plants another half gallon of water each and then I fed increasing the volume to 2.5 pints (upping the big bloom to 3 tsps per gallon) but I ran out of feed on the last plant. I only mixed up two gallons and it was super dark so thar one container plant will need to be fed tomorrow I guess. This is masterofsmeagal signing off to fucking FINALLY get stoned!

Was harvested whole. Roots and all. Got a much better pheno this time with the addition of the IR/UV 45 it made for a great impact on the resin. At the moment, she's 6 days drying. Prob 4 more to go. Really happy with how she's drying. Will fully Trim soon before the sugar leafs dry into the bud. She is about half way through process. Will update on weight and true smoke report.. The taste I have had, was really nice. But quick air dried bud, is no where near the taste of properly dried bud in a good environment 16-19c "should be kept at a max of 18. It only goes beyond that for a few hours during the day. She's at a RH between 55-62%.

Haven’t posted for a while but these babies are doing well despite the neglect from a few weeks. I’m locked back in now! Left is one of the Grandpa’s Cookies, middle is Money Maker, right is the other Grandpa’s Cookies. The GPA Cookie on the left is showing nice purple coloring. The GPA Cookies smell just like the Black Banana ancestry I heard about. Nonetheless both are getting really frosty.
