Great growth from all the girls this week. Stretched massively. I have done a major defoliation to let more light to bud sights. 95% flowers are in light now. I will do another Small defoliation next week. Dry amended top soil with bat guano, worm castings and bio life. Should be enough to bring them into mid flower. I had a slight fungus knat issue but got some nematodes and they are starting to clear along with sticky traps. I have also taken cuttings from a few of the girls to cross a few of the stronger strains and create my own strain. First time I will be doing this so excited to see how it turns out.

Week after week, through careful nutrition, TrolMaster monitoring, and endless observation, we watched them evolve. From the early stages of vegetative vigor, through the lush canopy of mid-flower, and even through the challenges of heat and bud rot, these girls showed true resilience. Each setback taught something — about balance, airflow, humility, and the living rhythm of nature. Both plants were ultimately harvested with respect and gratitude. ⸻ ✂️ Harvest & Trimming After about two weeks of slow drying at 60°F / 60% RH, the branches began to snap — a sure sign the moisture was just right. Each plant was trimmed by hand, carefully and patiently, letting every calyx, pistil, and trichome tell its own story. The buds were dense, sticky, and heavily frosted — a trimmer’s delight. Finger hash collected along the way was pure gold, rich in aroma and bursting with terpenes. Each snip of the scissors felt like sculpting something sacred. Both plants were dried whole, allowing for slower moisture migration and a smoother final cure. ⸻ 🌿 On Trichomes and Harvest Timing We chose to harvest when most trichomes were cloudy, with only a few still clear and very few amber. This moment — just before full amber maturity — is where potency meets flavor at its peak. Why cloudy trichomes? Because that’s when cannabinoids like THC and terpenes are at their maximum activity. Too early, and you lose potency; too late, and THC starts converting into CBN, giving a heavier, sleepier effect. Cloudy trichomes deliver a balanced high — euphoric yet grounding — capturing the essence of the strain in its full potential. ⸻ 🌸 Aroma, Taste & Effects The Lava Cake lives up to her name and lineage. 27.4. - Plants are looking nice and healthy, buds are getting bigger, smell is improving too. Still worried a bit about the yellowing, but I think it slowed down. Also, I'm fitting a bit with humidity. However, still better than last round 😎 28.4. - Watered 💧 30.4. - Buds are getting bigger and fatter each day. Even the smell is starting to get stronger. Watered 💧 2.5. - Watered 💧 3.5. Week wrap-up: Everything goes smoothly for now. I am still fighting with humidity level raising after watering, but it seems that airflow is good. Just jarred up for the cure, and these flowers are already top 10 favorite all time. It's just full of chemical funk, and makes me high like I was back in HS. Holy shit. I can't say enough good things about the terp profile on this stuff. I can barely describe it in the state it's put my mind at the moment, wow. I wish I had treated her well during the grow, but I'm still learning. I will 100% be growing these genetics again. Given how good it is with my newbie skills, I can hardly imagine what it'll be like when I know what I'm doing. I grew two ladies in one 13 gallon RDWC bucket. Even sharing root space, they outgrew my tent and I spent all of her flower trying to save the run. Not much more I can write at the moment other than 10/10 wow.

Beg of week 1/22/24 - just trying to maintain. Having ph swings. Taking at least 200ml a day sometimes double

Las flores cada vez mas olorosas, ya dejaron de estirarse y están engordando bastante, todo apunta a una abundante cosecha 😁... Abajo les cubri la tierra con bolsas de plastico para reducir la población de moscas, no son minadores de hojas sino mis plantas ya estarían muy mal con la cantidad de mosquitas que tengo. Ahora reduje los riegos a una vez por semana, porque como tienen 80 litros tienen bastante reserva de humedad. Los bichos bolita también se reprodujeron bastante, la próxima seguro subo vídeo o fotos de los bichos que tengo en las macetas.

Didn't turn out how I thought it was going to but I learned alot from all the mistakes that were made. For the first time using a trellis i see that I need to clear out the bottoms way better because the are a ton of pop corn buds. I should also have some way to top off the plant incase the plants drink a lil faster then expected because there were a few times the water levels got extremely low. Next time im gone have to make sure i have away to reach all sides of the plant once I cut her down I seen the back needed way more attention but couldn't really get back there because the tent was against a wall. None the less lessons learned time to regroup an get ready for the next grow.

Buds coming along greatly & seems like the thrip infection is under control... All plants are quite small this time, perhaps too much light(or lights too near)? Some bud tips are bleached out...i think thats definately from too near lights...i increased the distance now... Increased the lights to 12.5h a day

The spring is coming. The T is 19 C max 15 C min. This winter was dificult this year because she grow up to slowly. I hope bog buds.

Removed bottom set of 🍁 very happy indeed and outgrowing the rest im praying not turning to little boy hopefully is just big 🙄but anyway super happy id say just about to get feed 🏝️

------GENERAL COMMENT------ As planed I lowered the base nutrient to 2ml, and took a break from Cal Mag, to release the N a bit, green is on point now. Tomorrow will catch up with the Cal Mag schedule as usual. Time for some overdrive, for the rest all good, girls are developing well and buds are getting bigger, no issues. Smelling delicious!
