Una settimana e qualche giorno sono passati, finalmente anche questa ragazza ha buttato le radici in acqua e sta crescendo molto rapidamente, speriamo che nel giro di una settimana sia più o meno grande quanto la sorella e che sia un minimo pronta per essere mandata in fioritura, l acqua verrà cambiata tra circa una settimana per adesso ho aggiunto solo un po di cleance per tenere le radici pulite, per il resto sembra tutto ok, apparte un po di variazioni del ph, ma sono cose normali in Hydro penso.. Dai ci vediamo alla prossima settimana e come sempre ringrazio Terra Aquatica per i nutrienti fenomenali e la loro fiducia, Mars hydro per l attrezzature professionali e Anesia seeds per la genetica davvero che promette molto bene! I struggled with this plant the whole grow cycle. She still came out alright in my opinion. She did foxtail due to heat. For a first photoperiod grow in DWC I did good in my opinion. Learned a lot more, and been applying those techniques now. She grew under a Spider Farmer SE5000 light in a New Level Hydro bucket. I used hygrozyme during grow. Welcome to my FastBuds GSC grow-off diary! I plan on growing 2 seeds from the same package - one using a 950ml Gatorade bottle dwc system, and the other sharing a 64L reservior DWC. I'll grow them both while trying to be as simiar in techique as i can, but i'm more interested in how the 950ml does, so might not be super picky about doing things exactly the same, heh. I'm making this all up as I go! Enjoy the ride! Week 0 ====== Day 0.1 - 2 seeds in water for 24hrs Day 0.2- 2 Seeds in wet paper towel, in a plastic bag for 24-48hrs until taproot is out Day 0.3 - 24hrs later - one seed has sprouted a tail Day 0.4 - 2nd seed sprouted tail; put both seeds into rockwool Day 0.5 - 1st seed sprouted from rockwool Day 0.6 - 1st seed doing well, 2nd seed no change Day 0.7 - Checked 2nd seed and hasn't budged, so it's a dud. Started a new seed (had 3 GSC, so all good!) Day 0.8 - 1st seed into the 1L DWC bottle! Day 0.10 - 3rd seed germinated - into rockwool to sprout. DWC Prototype ----------------- - 950ml Gatorade Bottle - 2x small air stones - 1/2" overflow tube where i want the water level to be - Nutrient top-feed line The reservoir below is 19L (~15L of solution) with a small 80gph water pump on lowest setting, which will be on a timer for 15 mins every 3 hours (at first - we'll see how that goes). The water pumps nutrient solution up to the Gatorade bottle and the overflow goes back down into the reservoir.

For a while, was planning on transplanting the #2 pheno, but after a 5-month cure, the unique and smooth smoke of the #1 pheno was the ultimate reason for switch. --- Ca-Caw! Always pheno hunting! This is why we grow! --- Okay, anyways! - [18:22]: Time to transplant! --- Both 7-gallon pots have been pre-amended and ready for more roots! --- Alright let's go cutty! --- Placed both of the spare Heady OG clones in the propagation tray. - [18:25]: Gently removed the solo cups from both fabric pots (on the right side of the tent) leaving perfect holes. ------ Sprinkled 1/16tsp of Great White, --- Dusted the sides of both holes. --- Also sprinkled a bit around the top soil. --- Great! Time to transplant! --- It’s been two days since both have been watered. --- To loosen and unstick the rootball from the cup, I gently squeezed the sides before pressing the bottom upwards. --- Once fully loosened, I simply Vulcan-gripped the base of the plant and flipped her upside down. - [18:33]: Gorilla Goat #1 dropped straight out of her cup! --- Hmm. Not as rooted as I would hope, but roots look white and healthy! --- The original Garlic Budder #1 pheno easily slipped out of her cup! --- Similar the Gorilla Goat, she could have more roots, but that’s okay. Roots look healthy and that is all that matters! --- Did not break up the rootballs. --- Gently flipped and placed each clone carefully into the pre-inoculated holes. --- Pressed and evened out the top soil for both phenos. - [18:39]: Transplant done! --- Gorilla Goat #1 was transplanted into the back right quadrant. --- Garlic Budder OG#1 was transplanted into the front right quadrant. --- To prevent transplant shock and to help even out the soil moisture, going to give 2 cups of wetting solution each. --- Also adding in a few extra microbes. - [18:55]: Filled a pitcher with 6 cups of RO water. ------ Added 1/64tsp of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60] ------ Added 1/32tsp of Recharge ------ Added 1/32tsp of Stash Blend ------ Added 1/8tsp of Horticultural Aloe ------ Added 1/8tsp of Horticultural Coconut ------ Added 1/8tsp of Mycrobe Complete ------ Added 1/2tsp of WDG3000 Extra Strength BTI --- Mixed the solution and poured 2 cups straight into a pump sprayer. --- Misted Gorilla Goat #1's straw mulch with the wetting solution (back right quadrant). --- Took my time and tried to go evenly. - [19:15]: Repeated this process for the original Garlic Budder #1 pheno (front right quadrant). --- Using the remaining 2 cups of the wetting solution, misted the straw mulch for both Heady OG (front left quadrant) and TKO (back left quadrant) mothers. --- Ca-Caw!! Grow strong my veg queens! - [19:22]: As for the remaining veg clones, --- Decided to try to preserve the genetics in solo cups and basic clonal cycling techniques. --- Plan to take new cuttings in a few weeks or so and will begin the rooting process once more. --- Curing has really changed the way I currently hunt phenos and I really don’t want to lose another keeper pheno (recently regret not keeping a cutting of Garlic Budder #4). --- Oh! Also finally decided to fully give tissue culture a go! --- Another huge shout out to Laur and her independently ran business, Plants-In-Jars! --- If successful, learning tissue culture will be a huge ganja journey milestone by providing a sustainable way to preserve and maintain a diverse genetic library. --- Through continuous subculturing and micro propagation, I should be able to maintain unrooted explant cuttings forever. --- Then when needed, theses cuttings can be rooted and conditioned back into a clonal state and back into solo-cups for transplanting. --- Of course, I have absolutely no idea what I am doing, so developing a successful cannabis tissue culture protocol is going to be fun and full of failure, err, I mean, learning experiences! --- What can possibility go wrong right!? --- While learning (which will most likely take a bit), will continue to maintain the vegging mothers and solo cup clones. --- The ganja journey continues! Very big leaves and a good growth. One week more and I'm going to switch to 12/12

Day 10 - 2 inches tall seedling. 3rd set of leaves. 4th set emerging from center. PPM 268 2 mL CalMag 4 mL Micro Grow Bloom B52 Voodoo Tarantula Piranha Rhino Skin Sensizym and Bud Candy. Day 12 - Checked PPM 255. First visible roots sticking out from netpot. Plant is green and happy. Added 2 mL CalMag PPM 300. Day 14 - Checked PPM 268. Raised bucket and plant. Light is 26 inches from top of plant. Adjusted light duration to 20 hours on and 4 hours off. Half a dozen roots sticking out from bottom of netpot. 3rd set of leaves have 5 fingers. I believe this means its no longer a seedling. Now entering VEG.

Weather is getting hotter and hotter every day now and will be for another couple of months, so it's going to be a hot harvest... Temps getting close to 90°F now every day for a couple of hours... Plants seem pretty happy so far, taking the heat, hopefully they won't stress too much over that... Flowers getting FAT, QUICK. Need to get some sticks for support for the taller plant. Im feeding almost nothing this week, mostly just plain water. They did get a worm castings top dressing a week ago, along with some diatomaceous earth, and that should be kicking in about this week... My FoxFarm Trio is almost empty , so i will make it last until the end. Pretty happy with this grow, my best so far, and the easiest too... I do have better gear now though... Specially the dehumidifier.... Now im going into the weeks that always kill me with mold. The difference is, now i have a proper dehumidifier and mold should get under control, so i can really explore the 8th and 9th week in flower... Let's hope it works out well Plants smell and look awesome.

Day 30, the ladies seem to like the increase in Co2. I’m still battling the mysterious leaf spots. I sprayed them with Neem Oil just in case it’s some kind of fungus or septoria. This should stop it from spreading if it is. Still maintaining a 6.0 pH. They get a nutrients change in a couple days, I am going to give them a full dose of CalMag, it’s recommended at 5ml/gal and I’ve been giving them 4ml/gal. It’s RO water so CalMag is definitely needed. **I have solved the mysterious leaf spot issue. It’s a Calcium deficiency 100%. Going to raise the pH to 6.2-6.3 and give them full doses of CalMag and see how they respond. Upped their feeding this evening and changed their res. #1&2 are getting 7.5g/gal of each V1 and V2 from FloraFlex nutrients. #3 is getting 10ml/gal of Advanced Nutrients MGB, and 8ml/gal of B-52 Day 31, decided to give the girls a little trim today. #2 and #3 more specifically because they had huge fan leaves blocking out light to some lower sites. Hopefully this doesn’t endure too much stress on them. I’ve also had the lights dimmed this whole time, decided to amp it up to 100% power. Will update again in 2-3 days to see how their responding. Day 35, #1 was showing brown spots again, I think I may be giving them too much nutrients. I dropped the PPMs from 1080 to 880 and adjusted the pH because it was dropping. pH has stayed stable over past 24 hours, plant doesn’t have any affected new growth. I gave all the ladies another trim as they were getting pretty bushy. Still not officially flowering yet they should be starting here really soon though. I’ve never grown an Autoflower before but I’ll learn.

Week 1 and 2 of Veg

Close to harvest these beauties... I have checked trichomes they are ready but I still give several days more or I week from now:) No more nutrition since week 15... I want to flush them properly:)

SUMMARY: I did a heavy defoliation this week on Sunday 14/02 and then switched to early bloom nutes. I removed most of her fan leaves and all the lower shoots which would not receive enough light. One of the Amnesia shoots has been burnt by the heater as it was in direct line and so I have placed the saucer on top of a mug to raise her up a little out of the heats direct path. Also what I suspected was nute burn caused by a drop landing on the leaf appears to have spread...a few bright burn spots appearing on leaves, not sure what it is. DAY 43 ------ Tuesday 9th February 10:30 I fed the Amnesia 400ml which produced around 100ml runoff (25%). I made 5L of transition nutes at a pH of 6.3 and 5L of early bloom nutes at a pH of 6.3. Both made with rainwater. Tuesday 9th February 18:00 I fed the Amnesia 150ml which produced 100ml runoff (67%). [24°C/45%] DAY 44 ------ Wednesday 10th February 10:45 I fed the Amnesia 400ml transition nutes which produced roughly 50ml runoff (13%). Wednesday 10th February 18:30 I fed the Amnesia 150ml which produced 50ml runoff (33%). [24°C/42%] DAY 45 ------ Thursday 11th February 11:30 I fed the Amnesia 400ml of trans nutes which produced 50ml runoff (13%). Need to up morning feed to 500ml. I made 10L of early bloom nutes with rainwater at a pH of 5.8. Thursday 11th February 18:30 I fed the Amnesia 150ml trans nutes which produced 140ml runoff (93%). [24°C/42%] DAY 46 -------- Friday 12th February 11:30 I fed the Amnesia 500ml trans nutes which produced around 100ml (20%). Friday 12th February 11:30 I fed the Amnesia 50ml trans nutes which produced 50ml runoff (100%). I really need to start feeding less of a morning but shes always dry as a bone and light as a feather by the time I can tend to her. [22°C/42%] DAY 47 -------- Saturday 13th February 11:00 I fed the Amnesia 500ml trans nutes which produced around 50ml (10%). Saturday 13th February 18:00 I didnt have any nutes left to feed the Amnesia and cant make anymore until tomorrow morning now. DAY 48 -------- Sunday 14th February 11:45 I fed the Amnesia 500ml trans nutes which produced around 100ml (25%). I made 10L of early bloom nutes with de-chlorinated tap water (no rain water left), 5L at a pH of 5.7 and 5L at a pH of 5.6. Sunday 14th February 18:00 I did a heavy defoliation on the NL stripping MOST fan leaves and any lower small shoots which wont ever get enough light. I also raised the light again so that it is 16" above the canopy of my tallest plant as it was too close now she has grown. The Amnesias main cola is almost level with the canopy of the tallest plant now. I fed the Amnesia 200ml early bloom nutes which produced 100ml runoff (50%). [24°C/46%] DAY 49 -------- Monday 15th February 11:00 I fed the Amnesia 400ml early bloom nutes which produced 180ml runoff (45%). Monday 15th February 18:30 I didnt feed the Amnesia tonight as she doesnt need anymore right now and I cant feed her later. [22°C/42%]

Week 2 for the solo Afghani went smooth. Looked a little slow to develop her first proper set of leaves, but the root development should help speed up her progression. Still feeding off the slow release 444 and is now regularly drinking about 2oz of water every other day. I also spritz the bottom of the outer cup to keep moisture levels high for stretching roots. She's about 36" from the light. Hoping to get a little stretch to make training easier. Added a couple new pics to get the week caught up. Stay tuned, week 3 starts training.

Hello This is the end of week 2 and the beginning of week 3 of flowering. Things are doing good in here. The Dos Si Dos 33 and the Pink Kush have got "the stretch" going on now. Blackberry Moonrocks and Critical OG don't stretch that much. Starting to get a little smelly in here now. I'll trim up this week. Will be removing sucker branches and some fan leaves and opening up the middle and some top leaves to let the light get farther into the plant. OK. Be Cool Chuck.

Week 5 of veg: repotted into the final 12L pots using a 100% organic soil mix I made myself with dry organic amendments only — no bottled organic products. Watered with compost tea, and bent/trained the plants to shape the canopy for a SOG setup. For this keeper hunt (if we find one), we have three Blue Honey candidates: BH1, BH2, and BH4. Root-wise, BH1 seems to have slightly more mass, but nothing dramatically different. Structurally, BH1 and BH2 responded well so far, while BH4 stayed much smaller and stockier — we’ll see how it develops, but at the moment BH4 is trailing behind.

BEGIN WEEK 8 - Day 50 - 12/11 - Light Water. Day 3 into flowering. Observe red stems. Day 51 - 12/12 - Day 4 into flowering. Red streaks on stem disappearing slowly. Plain Water about a cup. Day 52 - 12/13 - Day 5 into flowering. No Water. Day 53 - 12/14 - Day 6 into flowering. 1.8ml Grow + 1.2 Calmag fed. Red Streaks appear to be stopped growing, looking good progress. Trimmed Fan leaves to expose canopy. Minor adjustment to ties. Day 54 - 12/15 - Day 7 - 1 Week in flowering. Light plain water. About 2 cups. Growth like wild, nice dense green canopy formed. Trimmed lower growth, fan leavs, chopped off weak tops from bottom. Adjusted ties, spaced out the main tops. Day 55 - 12/16 - Day 8 into flowering. Light plain water. Day 56 - 12/17 - Day 9 into flowering. 2ml + 1.2ml Ferts. Plant ajustment and red streaks recovered really good. Overall looking healthy to my rookie vision. END WEEK 8.
