🌌 Cosmic Noodles — Week 7 (12/12 from seed) Reading the plant, not the panic First of all — welcome to everyone new joining the diary. Quick recap below so nobody has to dig through old reports to understand how we got here. This is a 12/12 from seed run, which means there is no clean, universal “flower week.” Each plant decided on her own when to flip, stretch, and settle. That context matters for everything you’re about to read. ⸻ 🌱 Quick recap — Seed to Week 7 • Germinated and flipped 12/12 from day one • Early structure built with air training + metal clamps • Focus from the start was: • Structure over speed • Roots over tops • Stability over chasing charts • Plants developed strong internodes, upright posture, and open architecture • No rushing, no forcing — just guidance By Week 6–7, structure was locked in. Which brings us to now. ⸻ 🌡️ Room conditions (current) • 🌡️ Day temp: ~28 °C • 💧 RH: ~65% • ⚡ EC: ~2.4 • pH: ~6.5 • 📏 Height: ~40–80 cm • 💡 LED lighting On paper, some growers panic at 28 °C in flower. But here’s the difference between growing by numbers and growing by understanding. ⸻ 🍃 LED, leaf temperature & VPD (the part most people skip) Under LED, room temperature ≠ leaf temperature. LEDs don’t radiate infrared heat like HPS. That means: • A wall sensor can read 28 °C • While leaf surface temperature is often 2–4 °C cooler And plants don’t feel the room — they feel their leaves. That’s where leaf VPD comes in. If: • Room temp = 28 °C • Leaf temp ≈ 24–26 °C • RH = 65% 👉 Leaf VPD lands right in the comfort zone for early–mid flower. And the plants confirm it: • Deep, relaxed green • No tacoing, no stress-praying • Strong internodes • Uniform uptake across phenotypes That’s real data. We’re not ignoring numbers — we’re letting plant behavior be the final authority. Stability beats “fixing” something that isn’t broken. ⸻ ✂️ Defoliation — why it was heavier this time Let’s be clear: This was not aesthetic defoliation. This was functional defoliation. Context matters: • 🏠 8×8 room • 🌱 ~27 plants • 🌬️ Airflow, humidity pockets, and light distribution scale very differently Sometimes a single plant wouldn’t ask for defoliation — but the room does. Why we defoliated: • Improve airflow through a dense canopy • Reduce micro-humidity pockets • Let photons travel into the canopy, not just hit the top • Reset apical dominance • Refocus energy toward flowering sites Yes — I went harder than initially planned. But: • Genetics are strong • Roots are dialed • Feed is stable • Plants are healthy Healthy plants recover fast. Stressed plants don’t. These girls are clearly the first category. ⸻ 🌿 Plant-specific notes (this update) 🌀 Cosmic Noodles — air-trained plant • Fully defoliated • All metal clamps removed • Structure is now self-supporting • Training phase is complete • She doesn’t need guidance anymore — just space This was a key moment: We built what we needed. Now we step back. 🌿 Sister plant • Also defoliated, fairly deep • Naturally bushy, jungle-style growth • Needed opening to avoid future congestion • Likely will need another light defoliation later — purely structural Same treatment, same feed, same environment — just different expression. ⸻ ⚖️ Nutrition note — slight Cal/Mag signal We did notice very mild Cal/Mag-related signs on some leaves. Nothing alarming, nothing spreading. Important context: • We’re running Terra line, not Coco • Terra Bloom doesn’t supply as much Ca/Mg as Coco A+B • LED + fast metabolism = higher demand We’re adjusting calmly and watching how the plant responds, not reacting emotionally. This week is about observing recovery post-defoliation. ⸻ 🔮 What to expect (and not expect) Expect: • Short recovery window • Faster vertical focus on flowering sites • Improved airflow and light efficiency • Clean structure heading into bulk phase Don’t expect: • A “stall” — these plants are too healthy • A hard flush — we reduce EC gradually, we don’t starve • Identical timelines across plants (12/12 from seed = individuality) ⸻ Final words This diary is not about perfection. It’s about learning, observing, and adjusting with intention. Thank you to: • Everyone following quietly • Everyone asking questions • OGs, newcomers, lovers, skeptics — all of you • GrowDiaries for being the platform that allows open sharing • Sponsors and supporters behind the scenes • And the plants — always the real teachers This week we focused on structure, airflow, and understanding, not fear. Be a giver, and the universe will give back in ways you could never imagine. 💚 Growers love to all 💚 📸 P.S. – The Eye Behind the Lens All photos in this diary (for now — except for the ones showing the camera, which I took with an iPhone) are taken with a Sony A6700 paired with a Sony full-frame macro lens and a few more. Photography is part of the story — it’s how we share the fine textures, the glow, and the quiet details that words can’t always capture. I’ve also started experimenting with photo stacking — a technique where multiple images, each taken at a slightly different focus point, are layered together to create one perfectly sharp image from front to back. It’s not digital enhancement or AI; it’s pure photography — a way to reveal the plant’s beauty in microscopic depth, from trichome to petal. You’ll even see a few shots of "ghost me" capturing the shots — camera, lens, setup — because every grow deserves not just to be cultivated, but documented like art. Grow on 🌱 Rocko Flower Day 66 / Day 126 – Final Ripening – Kush ready, Gusher still cooking The Dutch Passion Double Run is now clearly entering the final ripening phase. Both plants are showing their genetic differences very clearly – especially when it comes to ripening speed. While the Triangle Sherbet Kush already looks very close to harvest, the White Gusher 33 still wants a little more time. 🌡️ Climate The climate this week became a bit cooler and more humid again. You notice that immediately in the tent: humidity rises faster and the VPD drops slightly. Without an AC it’s not always easy to balance perfectly, but at this late stage it shouldn’t affect the plants too much anymore. 🌿 Plant Status Both plants are clearly in the final stretch, but moving at different speeds. The Triangle Sherbet Kush now looks almost fully matured. The buds are massively swollen, dense and heavy. There isn’t much growth happening anymore – it seems to focus mainly on ripening and resin production. The leaf posture also says a lot: many fan leaves sit in the typical canoe position and hardly move anymore. The plant clearly signals that it’s almost finished. The White Gusher 33, on the other hand, still needs a bit more time. She looks slightly more active overall and in some places she even keeps pushing a little more, although some buds already look quite advanced. Structure / Genetic Expression At this stage the genetic differences become especially visible. The Triangle Sherbet Kush shows classic Kush structure: extremely compact, heavy buds stacked tightly and swollen to the maximum. The White Gusher 33 is also very frosty and compact, but overall appears a bit rougher and slightly leafier. There are more small sugar leaves between the buds, and the light foxtailing gives the flowers a more lively structure. In short: • Triangle Sherbet Kush: dense, heavy Kush buds • White Gusher 33: slightly more sativa-leaning structure with foxtails 🔬 Flower Status / Trichomes The Triangle Sherbet Kush already shows some amber trichomes. Many heads are milky, though not completely cloudy yet. She’s basically already inside the harvest window, but it wouldn’t hurt if the top buds develop a little more amber so the lower buds can fully mature as well. The White Gusher 33 is still slightly behind. Milky trichomes are increasing, but amber is still rare. She is also still producing some foxtails, even on smaller buds where you would think development was already finished. One thing that became very obvious this week though: Both plants got noticeably more frosty. Resin production clearly increased and the smell is getting sharper and more intense. 💧 Care The nutrient phase is finished. From now on the plants are only getting plain water as they move into the final ripening stage. ⏳ Outlook Now it becomes the classic harvest timing game. The Triangle Sherbet Kush feels almost ready already. The White Gusher 33, however, still needs a bit more time. So for now it’s simply about waiting a little longer. Harvest in about one week seems possible – but it could also be that the White Gusher stands a bit longer. The finish line is very close now. 🏁 Weekly Summary Kush is ready. Gusher still needs time. Grow on 🌱 Rocko

It's that time again – the Week 4 report for our Power Buds competition, and let me tell you, it's been an exciting week of growth and cultivation! Our verdant companion, Jelousy, has been flourishing like a botanical superstar. Now, let's dive into a decision I made this week – the transplantation. While some may opt for the instant gratification of planting directly into their final pots, I've chosen the path less traveled. Jelousy has been gently ushered into a larger pot, not yet her final abode. Why, you ask? Well, let's talk roots! Transplanting into a larger but not final pot is like giving our plant a roomier apartment without handing her the keys to the mansion just yet. It encourages the development of a robust root system, allowing Jelousy to establish a solid foundation for future growth. It's the horticultural equivalent of laying down the groundwork for a skyscraper. And speaking of roots, let's chat about the magic touch we've added during the transplant – the Aptus Holland Mycor Mix. This isn't just any mix; it's a microbial powerhouse that works wonders beneath the soil surface. Picture it as the unseen orchestra in the symphony of plant growth. The mycorrhizal fungi in Aptus Holland Mycor Mix form a symbiotic relationship with the plant roots. They extend the root system, enhancing nutrient and water absorption, while the plant provides the fungi with sugars. It's a harmonious dance of give-and-take, resulting in a healthier and more resilient plant. Applying this mix during transplanting is like giving Jelousy a team of loyal assistants, working tirelessly to ensure she receives the nutrients she needs to thrive. It's nature's collaboration at its finest. Now, let's talk visuals! I've prepared a mini video report showcasing the awe-inspiring beauty of Jelousy. Her leaves are lush, her stems are sturdy, and those roots—oh, those roots—are reaching for greatness. Check out the video link to witness the botanical magic in action. As we soak in the visual feast, let's extend our heartfelt gratitude to Zamnesia and Plagron for making this journey possible. Their support is the compass guiding us through the green wilderness. And, of course, a round of applause for the incredible Grow Diaries community. Your shared passion and knowledge create an atmosphere of growth and learning. To my fellow contestants and growers, may your plants continue to thrive, and your dreams of a flourishing harvest come to fruition. Here's to a week of roots reaching deep, leaves stretching high, and the joy of watching our botanical companions flourish. Stay green, stay inspired, and keep cultivating those dreams! As always, thank you all for stopping by, for the love and for it all. This journey of mine would just not be the same without you guys. The love and support are very much appreciated, and I feel honored and blessed with you all in my life !!! With true love comes happiness. Always believe in yourself and always do things expecting nothing in return, with an open heart. Be a giver, and the universe will respond in ways you can’t even dream of . Friendly reminder: all you see here is pure research and for educational purposes only. Genetics - Jelousy @Zamnesia Nutrients @Plagron Light - @viparspectra P2000 Room size - 3x3 - 0,9x0,9

She only grew 8cm this week. The stretch is slowing down a lot now. She's doing well. Nothing else to the report as I'm just letting her do her own thing. Still loving her Sativa-like leaves!! 😍 They are as thin as a blade! For nutrients I'm using 15g of 20-20-20 powder mixed with 10L of water. Also added 4ml/L of both Cannazym and Terpinator. This brings it to around 1600ppm including ~300ppm for my clean water. ***Sponsored Grow*** = Medic || https://medicgrow.com || Grow = ***Sponsored Grow*** Ok, so first week of introducing the trip tonic line of feed into the medium and getting rid of the lotus crap, all of the newer growth is looking much better and some of the older growth is greening up but I don't expect a full fix for that. Gave some extra grow B in this week as it is higher in P and K and will act as a small PK boost for the stretch that is to come. Flipped my plants to flower as well so they are now on a 12/12 setting. Been using the medic grows mini sun 2's internal timer in the lights and they appear to be working just fine. They have pre-programmed setting of 12/16/18/20/22 "on" cycles, I thought it might have been hold the dial till the number you want came up but its not that fancy. As of now my photoperiod is from 1:30pm-1:30am but I might move this up to 12pm-12am so when I need to look at my plants I'm not waiting till the afternoon. Its really only an issue on the days I'm working. over all happy with the progress, This seedsman plant I have a feeling would be a good outdoor plant given how space out the nodes are, lots of airflow to prevent bud rot but given its flimsy branches would need a lot of support. Will see if the clones make it. It also has not be drinking as much as the other three, but it is almost a week younger then the rest but they all have filled their pots with roots weeks ago so who knows. Lights still running at 80% with V1 spectrum, will increase to 100% after stretch, don't need to growing into them and burning up. Today, day 23 was the last repotting. Girls went from 11.6L to a 20L pot. Now there in the right place, serious things can begin ! I planned to top the girls on wednesday or thursday. It will depends on hos they will recover. Actually, it's my first time with smartpots. If smartpots have a lot of advantages, repotting is not one of them ! I made a mistake : the plants were 60% dry, and abviously, it was not a good idea ! It should be clearly moist. Nextime I think I will water the girls 1 hour before repotting. I hope it will be ok and they will recover from this tough moment.... Will see in a few days 😰😨 Anyway, I have generously watered them right after repotting with no nutrient. Juste clear water with the right Ph. As they are in some brand new light-mix medium, I thought they have enough nutrient for a at least 2 or 3 days. D-25 : Everything is ok. Girls seems to have recover very well :) Anyway, I'll wait at least one more day before topping. D-26 : Topping the girls. Hope everything is going to ok... Also feeding the girls right after the top. During the topping process, the plants were reduced from 25cm to 12cm.
