17.05. I don't have anything special to say, of course the weather is terrible... it's 6-7 at night, 15-16 during the day, so they're inside... the temperature inside is 20-21 during the day, at night from 15 to 17 when it's this cold... the plants were exactly 3 weeks old yesterday, today they entered the fourth week and most likely they will wait inside for the fifth week as well because the weather is terrible and there is no point in transplanting yet. 3rd flower week complete. I cant help but think I've ruined one of the 2 girls. Shes taking a really long time to recover and bud growth is slow and steady. I've defoliated for about an hour and a half tonight and now really need to get some sleep! I'll pop back tomorrow with lots more photos and a more in depth update on what has changed this week. Update........ so ive been caring for the burnt up plant throughout the week. Shes not gotten any worse but just seems a little stressed now. I decided to remove the worst of the burnt and dried up leaves last night. I know it will also cause stress but I didn't want the rotting leaves to cause any bacteria growth around the healthy plants. They've been on everyday waterings at around 1.6 EC. I've included some Hygrowzyme in the last few feeds in the hope some beneficial enzymes may help the root zone take on nutrients. Despite one of the pair being unwell the other is healthy and vigorous. Shes not getting the attention she rightly deserves so I've included lots of photos to this weeks diary. I wouldn't want anyone to be put off from growing this strain as it has so much potential. I'm hoping that the healthy plant produces the goods and leaves me wanting more.

Most of my autos in photos were put to pop nearly fifteen days ago. Some of it has been slow.But it's okay because they're gonna pick up soon.

This was a critical week as I transplanted her from the Home Depot ceramic pot to a 3 gal fabric pot, and finally moved into an actual grow tent! Got all of my equipment this week: MarsHydro 24x24x60 grow tent, Spider Farm 1000 LEDs, AC Infinity Cloudline S4 intake fan, iPower 4" Air Carbon Filter/Sock. After I transplanted her, she had mild shock and accidentally broke a stem. Fortunately it was not torn and was able to splint it. Gave 1/2 strength Grow Big. Started LST.

27/02/19 - This one is great, I popped the seed 24hrs after the gelato and this one seems to be developing its leaves a lot faster than the rest, so far really happy with DNA and with mills nutrients, it’s a lot easier to mix and I no longer have to use ph down because once all mixed it’s at a 5.8/5.9. 👌🏻 02/03/19 - Just transplanted all into their final pot, just in time I think as it looked like the roots were starting to circle at the bottoms of the pot, sprinkled half a tea spoon of Mykos on each hole prior to the transplant & fed them 2.5 litres each. I was going to saturate the whole pot but I’ll do that next feeding.

Day 22, 10-2-24: I did some trimming on them today for the first time! They needed some soil added, and I clipped the first 2 nodes and got them looking good! Day 23, 10-3-24: They are absolutely amazing. So vigorous... Great genetics... One of the few genetics companies I've gotten 100% ratios on popping seeds. These ladies are going to be some fine looking ones.. The bigger pot is definitely larger, but oddly, the six inches of soil is bigger than the control five gallon. Didn't expect that but it is what it is 🤷 Day 24, 10-4-24: The leaves on 1 and 2, and it has to be heat. I lifted the aglex 240 w about 6 inches this morning, the lights were reading good, and it doesn't feel hot under the light at their level, so IDK why they are curling. Day 25, 10-5-24: They are continuing to grow steady and robust. They are all generally the same again, and they feel good and flexible. Going to start lst'ing soon. Day 26, 10-6-24: I did some training on #1 and 2. 3, the control, is, lacking. Both more and less soil is doing better than the 5 gal.. 🤷 Life's a garden, dig it? Day 27, 10-7-24: I finally got my room moved around and got my 400 w Aglex in there and I have them at 17 inches from the light at 50% for around a 600ish par. Day 28, 10-8-24: They are growing like crazy! All except the control. #1 and 2 are doing great and are ready to be trained out more. #3 is slowly growing and it's just creeping along...

The lighting intensity is at 833 PPFD, and the solution in the reservoir is fine-tuned to a pH of 6.22, EC of 475, with a temp of 21.8°C. Let’s talk pH in the reservoir: it’s a dynamic process, and I’m constantly adjusting it to keep everything at the right level. The pH tends to rise throughout the week, and each day, I work it back down, fine-tuning it to keep those plants happy and balanced. Managing pH is truly a hands-on job, and it’s worth every moment. I love staying on top of it for optimal nutrient uptake—it’s all about consistent effort and keeping that perfect range dialed in. Leaf Maintenance & Selective Defoliation These leaves are HUGE and gorgeous, creating a lush canopy that’s nearly too perfect! I’ve been taking a few leaves here and there, focusing on leaves that may be blocking light from reaching lower parts of the plant. Selective defoliation at this stage is key because it opens up airflow and allows light to penetrate deep, boosting energy distribution across the whole plant. Big, healthy leaves mean we’re getting excellent photosynthesis, but a gentle, strategic defoliation can guide that energy toward those developing buds. Changed the res added the flowering feed. These all seem to like an e.c of 1. Let it creep up slightly and got a little bit of burn on the tips in a few places. They’ve all stretched nicely except the Runtz which are still quite short compared to the rest.

Auto Maxi Gom is doing well. She has produced her first pistils, and is transitioning into flowering. She should start stretching very soon. It's my first grow with Xpert Nutrients. So I am curious to see what happens. I had to back off on there amounts suggested. It was too strong. Nothing wrong with concentrated, it goes further once you figure it out. Everything is going well. Nothing else much to report. Here we are at the harvest of one of the masterpieces of the season, Rainbow Sherbet Automatic by Zamnesia. ** We remind everyone that we have grown two plants per strain, one without the aid of any technique and the other instead worked with the techniques described below. Technique used // The plant was worked with the MAINLINING technique, particularly successful in this case because I managed to create the main stem parallel to the soil in a truly elegant way. We waited for the second internode and did the TOPPING (at the second to lengthen the vegetative phase in autoflowering plants, it is also better to keep the stem low); from this topping a MAINFOLDING was done cleaning everything that was underneath in the underlying internodes and leaving only the two mini branches to grow as a result of the first topping, the Mainfold precisely (** IF YOU LEAVE OTHER BRANCHES YOU CAN'T TALK ABOUT MAIN LINING THE NAME ITSELF SAYS IT). We lowered the two branches with the arches in LST up to the third internode of each respective branch and we did the TOPPING once again, from here the plant was left to grow directing it with LST as best we could. I probably left a little too much stuff underneath, I could have cleaned a little more. Better with the techniques or normal? It is a plant with a medium-high distance between internodes, the Mainling was truly perfect. This time I am inclined towards the plant worked with the techniques. This is another confirmation that MAINLINING on AUTOFLOWERING in my opinion is only indicated in plants with medium-high internodal distance. If the plant is a declared tall plant, in short, this work can be done, if it is short it can be done too but keep in mind that it remains small. Flower quality // The buds resinified very well, in fact probably something more than very well. I love the resins that are produced in winter. You can see it in the macros at different distances, there is a lot of resin well distributed. The buds are also nice and hard and look much better than the plant left to grow straight which was super resinous anyway. We washed the buds, it is essential, try following the Zamnesia guide and you will see how your buds will taste!
