Week 8 is finally here! We changed up the nutrient feeding to the week 8 on the feed chart. I am diluting everything at a 50-40% rate to keep EC within acceptable ranges of 0.8 - 1.1 EC. I started adding Terpinator to the mix and I do notice a significant smell increase vs. without it. I am going to keep using this as I think it is a great supplement. I did figure out that even though on the bottle and on the specific feed chart, it says it is a light formula that will have minimal impact on EC and will not burn your plants at the recommended rates - it will! First time mixing up my nutrients with terpinator, I had to dilute it because the EC was too high. I put the recommended amount in my mix, and checked EC and low and behold it was high. The next feeding I did a 50% dilution rate and that seemed to be ok if you are diluting your other inputs properly to compensate. ALWAYS make sure your EC and PH are in check prior to fertigating your plants. I am watching the trichomes on a daily basis and am looking to harvest sometime this week or next. I plan to dry it in the tent it is growing in as it has AC and good airflow. Once they are done drying, they will get trimmed up, lightly vacuum sealed and stored in the freezer. Welcome to my Fast Buds sponsored shootout and living organic soil v coco side by side. I also plan to use this grow to my full advantage regarding a few age old nagging questions about methods. I have had a keen interest in L.O.S ( supersoil) since reading a few threads a while back on how amazing and productive it can be. After too much research and procrastinating I had to give it a go. I have been a decades coco/nft grower and recently threw my hat in the rdwc ring too. I have avoided soil due to the overwatering worry ( heavy handed chimp brain !) and the best potting soil/feeds. Catching up on the advances in indoor soil gardening and organics led me too subcools supersoil recipes to name a few but being a town dweller with farms everywhere around me still drew blanks on a lot of the ingredients needed and where the hell I could even begin to get them from. Thankfully , commercial savvy has now made buying it in ready to use and with a full range of beneficial bacteria ect available in amendments from a grow shop here in the uk. ecothrive have realised the potential for us to dive into this medium with all the mixing , measuring and resourcing. I bit the bullet and £150 later I now have 4 x37Litre pots that will be used for as long as I want to feed the soil for without EVER needing nutrients again potentially. The coco has also had charge mixed in to encourage the bennies to colonize there too. I will be using the shogun nutes that I know do the business with coco to compare with for yield , growth and taste. I have 3 seeds each of 4 Fast Buds Strains to use as a control for the grow and am journaling each strain in their own diaries. This statement will be used to start each one as the information is identical at this point but following this I will do them individually. I am now starting their second week since opening the seed packets , straight into soaked and shook root riot cubes and into the heated propagator. They had all showed their heads by end of day 3 and a couple needed helmet surgery to open up without being hindered . I have has them in the prop for a few days but they needed to get settled as they were popping roots out all over the cubes. They have now been in their final pots for 2 days complete and starting their 3rd today at day 8 since planting in cubes. I am impressed with the speed and success of these girls already (12 of 13 germinated) . Well done fast buds. So here we go folks , any comments , ideas ,questions , advice are always welcome and I hope we can have some fun experimenting with defol v non defol , topping v fimming v bending and any other curiosities along the way. Day 15 wow they are growing so fast Day 16 all girls got a flush we thought we might be putting to much nuts in it Day 17 I still can’t believe how fast these girl’s grow Day 18 all girls growing good Day 20 girls got over watered yesterday so taking the day off Day 21- last day of week 3 and growing great girls got watered today

Talk about a mission accomplished, dam you Lamby… you had me excited at one point when I thought you were an auto, but to my shock, you are a regular, you just have a long ass flowering window… at least unlike her sisters within the 4th cycle, she did not reveg she just focused on flower, the buds are bulky and firm, scent is amazing, you would mistake her for a cheese strain. I should not be disappointed by the plant’s size! Because I planted her during winter, and all outdoor or greenhouse(unless you have a GH that is climate controlled), do not grow as big as the would during spring or summer season, and due to this factor, I only got 59g of wet bud. But I have faith the other ladies will produce a higher yields. Last I smoke this strain was earlier late summer or early Autumn, and from smoking to growing now harvest, I wish I am blown out the water with this strain, it’s time to conduct that questionnaire. Or even better go to an established cannabis club, and get them to samples bud, and ask for a review.

Hey now, was a pretty good week for the Sour D, I didn't really make any changes as far as the nutes, still at EC of 1.6, with water from my dehumidifier, then cal mag, then maxi bloom powder, then liquid kool bloom. Only real issue I had this week was on day 58 I noticed her leaning a little bit, and I went to move her pot, and she almost toppled over. It really scared the crap out of me, so that is why you now see all the wire tires wrapped around her base. Definitely something I will be more mindful of in the future. Still dealing with high temps and humidity, but my dehumidifier has been a real Beast. I will also add that when I open that tent, the smell of Diesel Fuel, and Lemons smack me in the face like a 2x4. I have never smelled anything that pungent before. I am amazed at how well my Terra bloom carbon filter is doing, although I am sure it helps I have an 8x24" inch filter and Infinity T8 exhaust running on the lowest possible setting in my tiny little tent. Really hoping for some thick and sticky flowers! Thanks for checking me out and and Blaze On....

Day 50 - Checked PPM 1,030. Added 10 mL of CalMag Micro Grow and Bloom. Added 5 mL of Big Bud Sensizym Bud Candy Nirvana Rhino Skin and B-52. PPM is 1,550. Plant is 51 inches. Raised the light to its highest position. Tons of bud production. Day 51 - Checked PPM 1,590. PPM went up so i diluted with RO water. PPM is now 835. Plant is 52 inches tall. Leaves are getting glossy colored and sticky. Day 52 - Checked PPM 1,560. Diluted again with RO water. PPM is 725. Bud production scaled up. Green mass forming between white hairs and sugar leaves. The stock reminds me of the body of a lizard. Plant is 54 inches tall. Day 53 - Checked PPM 1,130. Added RO water. PPM is 650. Added 10 mL of CalMag Micro Grow and Bloom. Added 5 mL of Big Bud Sensizym Bud Candy Nirvana Rhino Skin and B-52. PPM is 1,620. Plant is 55 inches tall. Tons of white hairs. Bud production everywhere. The mylar emergency blanket allows the light to penetrate deep and low into the plant. Day 56 - Water nearly gone. Added 2 gallons of RO water. Added 20 mL of CalMag Micro Grow and Bloom. Added 10 mL of Big Bud Sensizym Bud Candy Nirvana Rhino Skin and B-52. PPM is 1,690. I can see trichome production (frosty buds and sugar leaves). The hairs are still white. Light is 2 inches above plant. Light is nearly against the ceiling. It stays this way til harvest.

Hoping to have a quick germination as I am excited to begin this grow. My tent is in the basement and I have a small dehumidifier placed beside my intake fan.

One or two more days and she’s getting chopped smells unbelievable

Hoy hace justo una semana que llegaron y las puse en las macetas pequeñas, donde han estado 5 días hasta que las he pasado a las macetas de 1l que usaré esta vez para darles crecimiento. Las dos veces anteriores las puse del tirón en la maceta final, a ver qué tal sale así. El clima está siendo fácil de controlar porque las condiciones son idóneas en el exterior. He cometido algún pequeño fallo como transplantarlas demasiado pronto creo yo, también algún desbarajuste con el ajuste del humidificador, ya que es nuevo y aún no controlaba bien. Por lo general contento por cómo están evolucionando hasta el momento. A seguir dándoles cariño para que crezcan sanas y fuertes 💪

Olá companheiros✌️🌱, esta semana o diário está mais centrado na tropicanna Poison ela está no dia 55 de floração, e continuam a nascer pistilos e mais pistilos , e a menina continua a engordar, continuo à espera da Cor âmbar de alguns tricomas, mas ainda nada, esta semana que passou dei só água a 6.4Ph, a tropicanna cheira muito a terra junto com tropical doce, vou esperar mais alguns dias para a colheita, o que acham?! Another week down and it appears that the upward stretching has finally slowed down to a crawl at this point. I probably could have done a far better job managing these plants for maximum yields given I was doing some quick and dirty pheno hunting it really wasn't needed. I am glad to see the buds are beginning to swell nicely now. The time lapse really shows it off well, even if it is a bit over-exposed. I *really* need to get some better glass in there.... This old Brino 720p camera isn't cutting it when I want nice close shots. The buds are showing some nice trichome development as well. I'm more than a little curious to see how they after another month of filling out.
