End of Week 8 (First week of flower) Increased the CO2 to 1200ppm and the ladies love it, already started stretching within the first 3 days of flower which shows that CO2 definitely boosts the grow cycle of cannabis. The main top-sites are popping up everywhere and everything looks evenly spread out. I defoliated again because the fan leaves are growing so fast and blocking bud sites. I also did one last lower canopy maintenance and removed small and stalky bud sites and stems below the trellis net to make sure I get maximum energy distribution to the main colas. I also added some GHF BioEnhancer to make sure the soil-microbes are happy and that the plants reach their maximum potential. Pest Report: EXTERMINATED! Thrips VS Ladybugs VS Neem Oil... I decided to fight fire with fire - I purchased Swirski-Mites from Koppert (They are beneficial insects that feed on the eggs and larvae of thrips and other unwanted pests). As for the adult thrips - I got very lucky and found about 10 Ladybugs in my garden and decided to introduce them into my grow room as they will feed on adult thrips and any other unwanted pests. Then to be extra sure I know that neem oil hinders the life cycle of pests like thrips causing them to stop colonising in my grow room. So I sprayed the ladies every day during the dark period to make sure there are no pests that I or the Ladybugs have missed. Mission accomplished. No more wilting and definitely no more thrips.

I started brewing a batch of Compost Tea today which should be ready in 24-36 hours, after which I'll give the Wedding Cheesecake FF a treat! 5/19- I'm almost certain that slugs are the culprits of all of the leaf chewing that has occurred. I only wish I had figured it out sooner but, on the bright side, this is a photoperiod and she has plenty of time to recover so she'll be just fine. Once I figured out that I was facing a slug attack, I immediately deployed my favorite defense against slugs and other little soft bodied buggers and their larvae... Diatomaceous Earth. This stuff is death to fungus gnat larvae, along with other pest larvae and will ruin a slugs day quickly! If you look at diatomaceous earth under magnification, it resembles shards of glass and acts as the same on the soft bodies of pests either repelling, or killing them! 5/21- The Wedding Cheesecake is putting out a ton of new growth and has maintained her color and vigor. I have been training her branches through the trellis net as they get long enough and will probably be installing a second net before too long! Our weather has dried out and warmed up so I'm watering daily with well water straight from the garden hose. 5/23- Eight weeks of growth for the Wedding Cheesecake Fast Flower and she just keeps looking better by the day... She's going to be a gorgeous plant! I cannot wait to see her in a month or so... can you? Just chuggin along this week, didn't do much... struggled to keep temperature at stable 68°

This girl is a late bloomer, but now she is starting to reach my other girls. The plant stopped to grow and now she is pointing all her energies to to flowers. The smell it's very strange ( in a positive way). I have done some lollipopping because the plant is very bushy with 12-13 main colas, and a lot of side branches diddn't see the sunlight so i chopped them. Also I've found some unwanted guests, but outdoor it's a common thing. The first 5 weeks, I sprayed a mix of water and neem oil and it all went very good without any parasite, but when the plants started flowering I obviously stopped giving them neem oil, and now I founs sometimes insects, but nothing to bad, I nedd to wait another 3-4 weeks and then I'll harvest it :)

This thing was very easy to grow. Liked low PPMs in flower. Around 600 was plenty for her. Will report taste and effects when curing is complete.

Casey's Rollex OG is making good progress. I topped her today, and pruned the root tips. I also removed the first node branches. I left the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th nodes for main branches. She has some big leaves for such a small plant still. Everything is going good. With great joy I will start my second season growing cannabis. I hope to learn from some small mistakes from the first season where I was surprised by my performance as a first-time sailor cultivating the BlueDream strain. This season I left the 4 seeds of GorillaGlue 36hrs in a pot of water to break the dormancy. After that I used the napkin technique for more 42 hrs. So I put each one in a 5-gallon airpot, as they are automatic and go to harvest in the same pot. After 24hrs in the vase the first 2 little leaves came out. I made a homemade dome with a 2-gallon water bottle, cutting it into strips and lining it with plastic with some holes to keep the humidity high during this initial phase. We entered the first week of cultivation and unfortunately due to an oversight I got confused in the fertilizer table and clearly the dreaded overfert happened. I did a watering only with water to try to remove the excess fertilizer let's hope it works.
