Hey now, this week went pretty good! The Acid Dough from Ripper Seeds is almost done stretching, she didn't get as tall as I hoped but that was mostly my fault for training her too long. I have noticed no matter how long I train the stems outward, they always grow back up towards the middle in the end, so I am starting to think I am wasting height of colas by training a few days or a week too long. Anyways, other than that I did some light defoliation and that is about all. Super excited to see what my first run of Ripper Seeds will produce! Transplanted em outside in the ground week 6 they got swamped on week 7 and got severely over watered week 8 I put em in new 45 gallon fabric pots and buried them a bit deeper to help root development they look better today then they do in the video....I'm a newb so knew nothing about ph and the 45 gallon pots have a ph of 8 very alkaline so there now not absorbing nutrient....bought ph down and going to start adding it to water and nutes apparently rain water has a low ph and it's raining again all week....hopefully it helps until I'm able to give them ph down....should be hard for them to get over watered in 45 gal pots...looking like a failed harvest

All 3 ladies are ready to harvest. Checked the trichomes, all milky. Super sticky and smelly. Super strong and healthy genetics. Will keep them a feel more days until the next run is germinated.

Another week has flown by! The girls are doing great, cruise control this week as I have just been monitoring RH and temps. Trying to keep them as low as possible, I’ve been getting as low as 74 during the day and 68 at night. I finally took a look a look at the trichomes with my jewellers loop, lots of cloudy, and a few amber around the leaves and top colas, but still lot’s of clear trichomes. I’ve ordered myself a wireless/usb digital microscope to assist with the process, and looks like it will be here just in time to determine harvest day. 😎🎄 I started by eliminating the nutrients at the beginning of the week. I typically allow for 3-4 pure water feeds before I harvest, and at the rate they have been drinking, this should be enough to get through the 7-12 days they have before harvest. I don’t flush, but rather “rinse” with normal water amounts, allowing the plant to use up the remaining nutrients in the soil. This also allows me to recover most of the soil from my grows and reuse ♻️ with other soil mix. There has been great debate and a great deal of bro science out there for many years, but the recent studies suggest there is no difference in end result when it comes to flushing or using nutrients right until the end, if a proper dry and cure is performed. Flowering Week 23: The Great Defoliation & Purple Hints Update: 17.08.2025 | Day 163 Hey Growmies, Week 23 was all about the snip-snip – gave both ladies a serious haircut and opened up them tight spaces. Airflow’s king now, and these girls are breathing easy. Here’s the wrap: Durban Poison – Cleaned & Gleaming After that defoliation, she’s standing tall like a proper little tree – clean stems, no clutter, just good light and air all through her core. The buds are frosting up with pistils that’s turning a soft, shy purple. Real pretty. Smell’s picking up too – still subtle, kinda old-school. Not like these new genetic gas-monsters. If I had to call it something? Flowery. Earthy-flowery. Simple. Honest. Blueberry – Tall, Late & Mysterious This girl’s still reaching – almost 2.20m now, though only three mains broke the 2m mark. Rest is hanging around 1.80m. Buds are forming slooow, pistils are shy. She’s blooming on her own damn schedule – way behind Durban. Started sexing at the same time, but now it’s like Durban’s sprinting and Blueberry’s strolling. Starting to sweat a little… if she’s too late, mold might sneak in when the autumn damp hits. Leaf tucking is getting nowhere in terms of light for the lower growth. This strain is definitely not for the beginner nor for the lazy grower. Can’t wait for the pink buds though! Should be a sight to see! Happy growing! 😎 🌱 Day 32, 09 Feb, Mon ♥️💛💚 Each got 2200 mL 0.7/L of Tiger Bloom and GrowBig 1.0 ml/L of CalMag and Lots of 1.5 ml/L of Big Bloom. Day 35 12 Feb, Thurs ♥️💛💚 Each got 2300 mL Added some Recharge to this 6.4 pH water.

Added a top layer of soil with added nutes so that only needed to water normally and let the top mix do the work down below. Will mix in more compost tea every other day and towards the end of the week, hit it with my normal organic nutes mix. The plant is looking healthy and continues to flower out and each cola is starting to thicken nicely. I have a few leaves here and there showing some discoloration so will watch closely to ensure I don’t have a light or nute issue. Will move the light intensity to 80% on the LED panels after this next week and as long as the leaves still look good. The grow room is fairly warm (80F) and rH is high (75 – 80rH) but my CO2 levels are fairly high as well so the plants should be fine. Running 2 x HO Solarcure UVBs for 2 hours about an hour after the LED lights turn on at the beginning of the 12 hour set and for 2 hours about an hour before the LEDs turn off at the end of the set. Plant #1 – Really starting to get colorful, very purple and frosty. Sorry for all of the bud shots but can’t help it! Super excited to see how she starts to fill out.

The Name of this cross. Then i Mixed Cali Genetics Purple Milkshake female with with a Lady Spider Male. The New Strain is called Black Venom. I believe it wil be Blackish/Purple Like The parents. About the Taste, we will know it maybe in a few weeks :) I Hope this 4 Babys Are females.

Well I said I was leaving her untrained but on day 56 I gently tied back a few branches to open up the canopy. This is looking like it's going to be my best grow yet.

I have spent the last week studying how to use COB led efficiently. On my last grow I just whacked them straight up to "11" and hoped for the best. This grow I intend to change track and try and use the least amount of light possible to get the best results. To be fair my light is way over spec for my 60x60 tent. I want to use the dimmer to lower the intensity of the light to more than adequately match the needs of my space. Then I can use the over head of light intensity that I have as the grow progresses into flower. I would enjoy any comments or feedback any advice is good advice in my opinion.

Ladies are looking awesome! They have a week or more left but will see tomorrow when I check the trichs. They smell so good , mouth watering and they chunked out. I see worms in my organic living soil which is pretty neat.
