🌱 Skywalker OG — Week 5 From Seed (12/12 Run) Hello everyone, welcome to another update, and a big thank you to everyone following along, newcomers, longtime readers, sponsors, platform, and of course the breeders and creators behind these genetics. It truly means a lot to share this journey together. For those just joining: this is a 12/12 from seed run, approached gently and observationally. No rush, no aggression, just letting the plants express themselves while we listen closely. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment & Room Conditions • Temperature: 21°C • Relative Humidity: ~58% • Outside conditions: 4–5°C with 90–98% RH Given what’s happening outside, I’m actually very happy with how stable the room is staying. The plants seem to agree, posture, color, and overall vigor are excellent. • CO₂: ~666 ppm For now, this is perfectly fine. No need to push or supplement — steady and natural. ⸻ 💡 Lighting Strategy (Top + Under Canopy) At the start of the week: • Only top lights are running • Power: 100% • PPFD: ~700–850 (depending on plant size) As the plants stretch and rise above the under-canopy fixtures, we’re now introducing under-canopy lighting: • Lumiflora under-canopy lights • Starting at 30% power This is very intentional. The goal isn’t to blast the plants, but to teach them that light and photons will be arriving from more than one direction. We want a gentle adaptation — letting the plant reorganize how it uses light rather than forcing it. Power will be increased later, but right now it’s all about adjustment, not intensity. ⸻ 🌿 Training Approach (or lack of it) Because this is a 12/12 from seed run, we are being extremely conservative. • No topping • No hard training • No defoliation The only work being done: • Leaf tucking • Gentle leaf bending And the response has been incredible. These girls are reacting with: • Tight internodes • Bushy structure • Calm, confident growth Sometimes, truly, less touch = better performance. ⸻ 🌱 The Triple-Branching Lady (Main Focus of the Week) This week’s highlight is one very special plant showing clear triple branching. At each node, instead of the usual two shoots, she’s producing three distinct branches, stacking from the bottom all the way up. The structure almost looks like she’s tucking herself naturally, creating a dense but elegant framework. This is not something we forced. It’s purely genetic expression meeting the right conditions. She looks happy. She looks calm. And she looks like she’s planning something special. We’ll be doing a dedicated report on her by the end of the week, because this kind of morphology deserves proper documentation. ⸻ 💧 Watering & Nutrition Strategy Water Source We’re using a mix of: • Rainwater • Dehumidifier-collected water This water is extremely soft, so this week we introduced something new: ➕ CalMag Pro Not because the plants were asking — but thinking ahead. Before adding nutrition, we want a proper mineral foundation. This helps stabilize uptake and prevents issues before they even show up. Aside from that: • No changes to the main recipe • Everything remains steady and predictable ⸻ Two Systems, One Tent (Why Autopots + Hand Watering) We currently have two feeding approaches in the same tent: 🔹 Autopots (6 plants) • Mineral-only feeding • EC: 2.29 • pH: 6.0 Organics and autopots generally don’t play well together. Organics are alive, they change over time, they ferment, pH drifts, and control becomes very difficult when solution sits for long periods. It’s not just about smell — it’s about stability. 🔹 Hand-Watered Plants (including the Skywalker OGs) • EC: 1.43 • pH: 5.9 With organics, hand watering gives: • Better control • Individual feeding per plant • The ability to respond to how each plant drinks and eats And honestly? I love this approach. Each plant gets treated as an individual, not a number. ⸻ 🌿 Overall Plant Health • Deep, lush green • Strong structure • Bushy growth everywhere • No signs of stress This run honestly feels too good to be true sometimes — but it’s real, and it’s exciting. ⸻ 🔍 Growth Stage & What to Expect Next Even though this is Week 5 from seed, the plants are still finishing what I’d call their last week of veg. By the end of this week, we’re starting to see: • Clear pre-flower signs • Early transition into flowering behavior This is a very important phase. The plant is deciding how it wants to flower — structure, spacing, and energy distribution are all being set right now. What to expect next week: • More visible pre-flower development • Stretch continuation • Increased response to under-canopy lighting What not to expect: • Heavy defoliation • Aggressive intervention • Rushed decisions We’ll continue to observe gently and respond calmly. ⸻ 🙏 Final Thanks Thank you again to: • Everyone following along • The OGs and the newcomers • The sponsors and the platform • And especially the genetics that make moments like this possible This is a joy to document, and an honor to share. More soon, especially on that triple-branching beauty 🌱 As always, feel free to share thoughts, observations, or just enjoy the ride with us. 👽 New team member Meet Mr. Baggy Our new fluffy alien/beaver/whatever-he-is friend, won through a Grow Diaries contest. Expect to see him around — he’s officially part of the grow now. Week 5 Veg/pre-flower | 8×8 Tent | Master Conditions 🌍 External Environment (Context) • Outside temperature: ~5 °C • Outside RH: 92–96% (very high humidity) • Strong seasonal pressure influencing internal stability ⸻ 🌡️ Internal Tent Conditions • Tent temperature: ~21.8 °C (noted drop due to cold external temps) • Tent RH: ~58% → Very good considering outside conditions ⸻ 💨 Airflow & Circulation • Primary airflow: Bottom → top → wall return • Pattern: Full-room vortex circulation • Additional fans: Central airflow to break blind spots and mix layers • Goal: No stagnant pockets, uniform VPD across canopy ⸻ 💧 Water Source & Rationale • Water: Dehumidifier water + rainwater • Base EC: force • Systems designed to support plant intelligence, not override it FOR DISCOUNT CODES AND MORE JUST FOLLOW THE LINK https://website.beacons.ai/dogdoctorofficial 📲 Don’t forget to Subscribe and follow me on Instagram and YouTube @DogDoctorOfficial for exclusive content, real-time updates, and behind-the-scenes magic. Photography is part of the story — it’s how we share the fine textures, the glow, and the quiet details that words can’t always capture. I’ve also started experimenting with photo stacking — a technique where multiple images, each taken at a slightly different focus point, are layered together to create one perfectly sharp image from front to back. It’s not digital enhancement or AI; it’s pure photography — a way to reveal the plant’s beauty in microscopic depth, from trichome to petal. You’ll even see a few shots of "ghost me" capturing the shots — camera, lens, setup — because every grow deserves not just to be cultivated, but documented like art. 7/11 It's pouring. We got like 2 in of rain. I compared the flowering with that of the mendo breath I grew in a previous journal and they are real close. Tjat was DONE DONE in September. Judging by the small preflowers they are going to be ready approximately around the same time. I think I'm going to have a middle September harvest with some and some will go to October. Realistically, I should've changed this to flower. I like to call it "the stretch" though. Plants are stretching like a mother fucker. Seems like the less I fuck with them the better they do! No nutes yet. I'm going on vacation for a week and I think I won't feed before I leave either. Plants don't look like they are lacking in anything. Just because I have tons of nutes doesn't mean I need to use them. Still need to put up the secondary supports for flower. Went over after a break in the rain. Went through each plant one by one. Most had leaves that were either turning yellow or yellow at the bottom interior. I only removed leaves that were dead or dieing. I should probably have degoliated more but I'm doing the KISS method this year. Things seem to be doing good that way. Some minor pests. I found a slug but put out slug bait for those and earwigs. Noticed a few white flies and multi color flies (probably fungus knats but they are up at the top, not down by the soil. I'm going to think about it and do some research. Damage is so MINIMAL and pests are MINIMAL that im holding off spraying. I mat start nutes tomorrow though. I'm uncertain on a lot of things. I need to meditate on it. Just because those interior leaves died the plants are still a LUSH dark green so I think they're alright. It's going really good but I'm going to be on vacation for a week. I can still monitor daily with my camera's and my family that is watching them will FaceTime me every morning and show me what's going on. They know what they're doing and if something arises I have BASICALLY a growers union in my town. All family. We look after each other. That's the only reason I considered even going. However, the event horizons, sherb pie, toasted toffy and AT LEAST 1 GMO "LOOK" like they will be flowering early. Like I said they look similar to a mendo breath pheno on another diary that finished in September. We shall see. I'm excited that's for sure! 7/12 So far no rain! Super hot and muggy. Killed a jpn beetle and a moth larvae this morning and another beetle this afternoon. I'm seeing SOME pest damage which makes me want to spray before some of these plants take off flowering. There isn't much damage and tje birds sit on the top just WAITING for a chance to swoop in and grab something. I've seen tons of wasps tjis year. I killed a snail yesterday and put out slug bait around my pallets. I'm leaving early tomorrow. I'm CONSIDERING doing an application of Cap'n Jack's before I leave. I'm not sure. I made little DIY videos for dad and I hope he follows them. If not I'll have another grower come help. With all the rain I noticed some white flies when I shook a couple plants. I don't have time to really deal with it right now. There were only a few and I think spinosad would kill those too. Either way it will be fine. I can monitor via camera. I can even hit an alarm that goes to four different people. Still. I don't like leaving my girls. Especially in this heat. 7/13 Left early for a short vacation. Just got a picture saying it's sunny there and my plants are doing good. I'm lucky to havecthe crew that I do. I'm sure if I asked they'd put up yellow sticky traps. That's something I may consider. 7/14 Dad said it Rained last night and driving down here it was just PURE SHEET RAIN. He sent me pics I uploaded and everything looks GREAT! gonna get sun after all that rain and wind. They are gonna explode! 7/15 Still on Vacation. Dad showed me the plants and said they looked a little dry so I had him use the 4 GALLONS OF WATER I HAD PREMIXED FOR HIM TO WATER THE GARDEN. This way each plant gets a half gallon. It's supposed to be in the 90's with no rain tonight. Rains euppised to come tomorrow but I've seen how fast a bag can dry out in ONE day with super hot weather and high winds. The wind blows through the bag drying the medium out. Dad's right. Things do look amazing. I'm having fun but it will be nice to get back and see if I was right and those few plants are trying to flower. Looks just like those two mendo phenomes that flowered early. 7/16 still on vacation. Got a nice rain for the plants. Not much though. 7/17 Had DAD WATER FOUR GALLONS ON THE GARDEN. ANOTHER HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT. I really miss my girls. I'm ready to get going and start doing the things that need to be done. Few more days and I'll be home with my pretty ladies. Last time I came back to nice little flowers. They looked about in the same stage when I left. I love early finishers. They're stretching thsts for sure.

5/5/2024 Pistils pistils pistils 5/8 these plants are fucking exploding! Super exciting to see them like this. Pistils everywhere and they’re just STACKING! don’t even see budlets yet, just pistils. The structure of these plants is beautiful. They handle training fairly well. I topped one and super cropped it and did a bit of lst. I was feeling impatient so I decided to see what happened if I pushed the one a little harder and left the other to grow naturally.

Hi 😎 everything is going great. they react very well to topping 😄. The new stragglers are also doing very well. The stragglers are brought to bloom without topping, as the topped monsters are otherwise too fat 🙈 Let it grow 💪🏻

Hello. This is the end of week 6 and the beginning of week 7 of flowering. Oh No... I got about 1/3 of the branches leaning over... I should have raised my top net... I said to myself in hindsight. I'll have to do something different next year. Oh Well... The good news is.... I've got buds so heavy they are falling over, giving light to the secondary buds, making them grow bigger and denser. I see some thrips marks around, but not a lot. Keeping an eye out for spider mites and WPM. None yet... I have been giving a bit more water now that it hotter in here. The same amount of nutrient solution, 15 gallons a week, 3 minutes a day. But I'm giving an extra watering a week (about 2 gallons for each plant) to keep the leaves from wilting. The garden is doing good. I've got food coming up all over the place. OK. Keep Growing Straight. Chuck.

Had no issues at all with this girl.. she's growing lovely. I have removed the bigger fan leaves so the lower flower heads can catch up. I wanted yo top her but at this stage I'm not chancing it.. She's actually at 3 and a half weeks. This week maybe early next week she's due to flip into flower. So only good things to come.

Day 37 Great growing this orange sherbert by @fastbud420. This week is starting to really get into flowering, i think will stretch à lot. At least i hope. Need à lot of feeding. Trying to get as much light is possible to flower but i defoliate being really carefull. Day 42, last two days stretching became really fast, as results i think that needs a lot more nutrients i’ll increase bio grow from 1(as schedule) to 3 ml/lt, and i’ll stop Top max as i started big bud and i don’t want too many salts to accumulate into the soil. Suggestions are acceptéd and welcome. Video of day 42 is took in darkness just a few minutes after lamp switch off. Let’s ho

Ah, welcome to Week 6 in the comedic garden odyssey of my green darlings! This week, I embarked on a sequel to the botanical blockbuster – "Defoliation: The Reckoning." It's like my plants are starring in their own leafy action movie, and I'm the director, yelling, "Cut those leaves, my green warriors! We need more drama and less foliage!" So, there I was, with pruning shears in hand, orchestrating the defoliation dance. It's become a routine, like a bi-weekly leafy spa day. The ladies might be secretly plotting to stage a plant intervention, but hey, I'm just trying to keep them on the path to becoming the Gisele Bündchen of the plant world – tall, fabulous, and with the perfect amount of greenery. And oh, the growth – it's like my plants are on a horticultural steroids regimen. They've been pushing out new leaves faster than a high-speed printing press cranks out newspapers. I can almost hear the plants chanting, "Photosynthesis for the win!" Now, let's talk about the elephant in the garden – or should I say, the scent in the tent? There's a hint of something in the air, a fragrance that can only be described as "Eau de Cannabis." Yes, my friends, the green aroma of progress is wafting through the tent. It's like my plants are getting ready for a botanical perfume launch, and I'm their unwitting fragrance tester. As I stand there, surrounded by my leafy divas, I can't help but chuckle at the thought of my garden becoming the talk of the plant town. "Have you heard about THCpapaTHCPAPA's garden? It's the chicest spot in the plant world, darling. You can practically smell the success!" Week 6 has been a horticultural sitcom filled with defoliation dramas, growth spurts, and the subtle scent of success. Stay tuned for the next episode of "The Green and the Glorious," because in the world of plants, every leaf has its own story to tell. 🌿🍃🎬

Mar 24: Watering till runoff now... runoff ppm was 2500+... Will be using very mild nutes to flush over 1 - 3 feeds... or until I am near my input. Mar 26: Continuing to use 650ppm feed with bloom focus, 2L per plant gives 15% runoff... Runoff ppm is still very high... I wanted to check pH of runoff but the color is so vibrant i cant use the pH drops to view color, need to get a pH probe. Plants are thriving, no issues at all. the extra fan fixed the post-water droop. One plant is bushy and has the most bud sites, One is the smallest but has the most uniform structure, this one has the biggest buds and thickest stalk, One is about in the middle of the 2. Mar 29: one of these girls gets droopy early when its time for water, thought the canopy was too high so i tied down some more, no cigar... gonna try increasing calmag, if that doesent work im going to reposition in the grow box to a side instead of middle, may not need the upper end ppfd...
