Hier een close-up van รฉรฉn van de buds in week 6 โ kijk die insane trichome-laag! De hele top is bedekt met een dikke laag frost, alles glinstert onder het licht. Nog steeds voornamelijk groen, maar de pistillen worden dikker en donkerder, en er zit al een lichte paarse gloed in de calyxen bij sommige phenoโs. De echte paarse/blackout kleuren laten nog even op zich wachten, maar de resin-productie is nu al next level.
De bud ziet er super gezond en harsachtig uit โ precies wat je wilt zien in week 6 van een indica-dominante kruising zoals deze.
Stand van zaken in Week 6
De 16 planten zijn in volle ontwikkeling en de bloei versnelt echt:
Bud-ontwikkeling: Buds zwellen flink op, calyxen worden groter en dikker. De toppen beginnen compact te worden.
Trichome-productie: Mega frost overal! Sugar leaves en buds zitten onder de hars โ veel phenoโs lijken nu al harvest-ready qua trichomes (maar nog niet qua kleur/rijpheid).
Kleur: Nog grotendeels groen, met lichte paarse hints bij een paar planten. Ik hou de nachttemperatuur laag om de anthocyaninen te boosten โ verwacht meer paars in week 7-8.
Aroma: Wordt steeds intenser in de tent: zoete druiven/bessen (Red Wine) met een gassy/funky punch (The Bird). Ruikt nu al als een premium strain.
Gezondheid: Topconditie. Bladeren donkergroen, geen tekorten, goede stretch voorbij, alles gelijkmatig.
Wat te verwachten de komende weken
Nog 2-4 weken bloei (afhankelijk per pheno: 8-10 weken totaal).
Buds harden verder op en trichomes gaan van helder โ milky โ amber (tijd om te checken met loep!).
Hopelijk meer kleurverkleuring bij de Red Wine-dominante phenoโs.
Beginnen met lichte flush richting het einde.
Conclusie
Week 6 is waar het echt spannend wordt โ de frost is insane en de potentie schreeuwt eruit. Deze The Bird ร Red Wine F1โs ontwikkelen zich prachtig, en met zoveel variatie in de 16 planten ga ik zeker een paar absolute killers vinden. Nog geen paars spektakel, maar de resin-laag maakt het al de moeite waard!

June 29: she should start strong vegetative growth soon.
July 1: last 30 days have been 1.5 C cooler than historic average and 3 C cooler than last year. Starting the autos late was likely not a bad thing this year.

They have started to pick up well after the deficiencies but it shouldn't have slowed them down that much. These are stated as 6 to 7 week flowering time and we are nowhere near finished yet........

All in all this grow was super easy. I couldve done some things to make it better but she pretty much did all the work. This strain would be perfect for a SOG style grow because it produces mostly a singular main cola nug that's pretty huge and then the bottom nugs themselves are also decently chunky.
4/22 chopped the lower half the plant. Wet it weighs 50grams. Still have the main cola in a dark room for another day or so before im gonna chop.
4/26 bottom half of plant dried in 4 days.
5/2 top cola dried in 5 days. Total weight is less than 20 grams at 19.4
5/12. Ten days of cure and shes looking even better. Spongey thick nugs. Dark red almost brown Pistils with pyramid shaped nugs.
I also wanted to not how fast and easy this grow actually was. She has so much amber I probably couldve chopped her 2 weeks previous. 3 weeks veg and 5 weeks flowering and some would chop.
Review.
Growing 9/10 for ease of growth
Super fast and simple. You can Fuck up and get fat buds lol
High: 9/10 super stoney. No paranoia
Yield:8/10 plant a super short. Like less than a foot. Can probably yield around a zip roughly
Bag appeal: 7/10after cure buds look good. Before harvest buds look fantastic as well

week four flower everything looks fine so far :D
I water them with 1.5l every 48h
the light I use was set to 100% and it hangs 80cm away from the tops

Added some mosquito bits to try and help with some fungus gnats. Hasn't been too much of a problem but it's always good to get ahead of the game.

23/04 - Changed solution waiting for the flush In the Week End (26/04)
Added MICRO Trio and Diamond Black - EC is now 1,5 and it will stay between 1.5 - 1.6
Maybe I will boost to 1.8 - 2.0 after the flush near the flowering stage.
We'll see...

Well going to give it one last week to flower. Started giving her just water and backed off flowering neuts completely this is my healthiest girl she also gets the award for the most used and abused. (Heat stressed, gnat attack and snapped her main kola ) smells like blueberries and fuel

She grew well this week. Another 11cm.
Day 42 - I trimmed off about 6 large fan leaves to give lower bud sites some light.
This is her last week of 20/4 veg.

26/10/20 - The mutated plant topped itself and then recovered. Shame to see this touch little girl go, but there's no room in the tent :'(
Some slight pH issues, sorted with a new pH pen.

Growth is phenomenal , scent is starting to get stronger. Looking super healthy noticeable growth daily. That bud candy from advanced nutrients is really coming into work now. That makes me super excited. THICCCC ๐ญ trim in full force or i think anyways lol. Advanced nutrients Bud Ignitor introduction this week!

Dรญa -4 (02/05): Se coloca la semilla en tubo de ensayo con 15 ml de agua (EC 0,5) + 3 gotas agua oxigenada (H2O2) en un lugar oscuro a 25 ยบC durante 48 horas
Dรญa -2 (04/05): Se prepara una maceta (11L) con 8,8 Litros (80%) de sustrato PRO-MIX HP BACILLUS+MYCORRHIZAE + 2,2 Litros de Insect Frass (20%) + 110 gramos de Earth Vibes Super Soil (10 g/L substrato)
Se mezcla con el agua del 1er riego (EC 0,4) la parte proporcional de la probeta de microorganismos y se riega muy lentamente hasta percolaciรณn profunda
Se hace un agujero de 1 cm de profundidad, se coloca la semilla al azar en el agujero, se tapa con un poco de sustrato y se humedece ligeramente con agua en spray
Se coloca parte superior botella en la zona de germinaciรณn para mantener humedad relativa alta
Se introduce en el armario con la lampara ENCENDIDA para mantener la temperatura 20-21 ยบC en las horas nocturnas

13.09.25 VW21 Both are looking good and are developing tighter nodes than when they were outside, I'm going to have to keep cutting them back every once and a while I also applied nematodes against thrips and fungus gnats.
20.09.25 VW22 some spots and some yellow leafs, I think it's a root problem, probably root bound, but both seem healthy and are getting thicker so maybe just top up with Coco coir and give a slight different nutrient schedule less Tri Part Bloom could do the trick MAYBE lol.
