week intel: its time for second pruning they grew up too fast and need second pruning as below : first i remove big fan leaves and only leaves then let them rest for 1 day then the second part of pruning will get done that is removing branches based on these conditions: 1-if the branch is very low and never can make it to the top , 2- if branch is in shade even after pruning fan leaves , 3- if there are too many branches at the small space then non of them will get resources so if there is no space for branch then , they must get remove. everything is perfect! stresses : pruning big fan leaves and lower branches + a little E.C stress around 1.7 once a week feeding: i feed them 3 times this week with this order : day 1 : i feed them heavy with silicate +base nutrients(calcium & micros + Bloom) about 884 ppm - 1.7 e.c to cause a little stress. day 3 : i feed them low dose of Feeding Booster + Karbo Boost around 325 ppm - 0.6 e.c to let them recover a little but not fully recover still a little stress will caused. day 5 : i feed them with low dose of Top-Max + B-52 around 213 ppm - 0.4 e.c to let them recover the stresses to get ready for another stress next week. guide of the week : no more stresses from now on till the end and from next week i'll reduce the amount of nitrogen and calcium to below half to the end.

This beautiful plant keep growing very well and it started to produce a small amount of smell. This week i done the first topping on the main stem (as you can see in the video). I put a little bit of melted candle on the cut, that is why you can see some white things. I have done this to dont let in any bacterias or fungus. I transplanted it in the biggest pot that i had (16l)😍

During the third week of vegetation I started practicing Mainling's technique. To do this, I patched the plant at the third node and cut all the underlying shoots. ✂️🌱 I tied the two main branches with string to keep them down. The plant appears to be responding well and shows no signs of excessive stress. ✔️

🌱 Grow Diary: Week 1 Wrap-Up (Day 0–7) Week 1 of Flower Complete Key Milestones Achieved: · Successful Flip (30 May): I switched to 12/12 with a healthy 90 cm root mass. · Stretch Phase Initiated: My plants showed significant daily water consumption (3–5l day). Canopy height increased visibly. · pH/PPM Stabilization: I managed nutrient stratification by lifting the pot tops to mix. Settled sediment was successfully reintegrated. · Concentrate Calibration: My homemade 5-7g/1.75L of A&B batch was measured at 3,455PPM and tested for real-world effect (+42 PPM per 100 mL in ~10 L). This is now a reliable tool. Week 1 Final Readings (End of Day 7): · Plant 1: 612 PPM / 6.01 pH · Plant 2: 652 PPM / 6.06 pH Nutrients & Additives Used: · Canna Cal/Mag (RO water base to ~200 PPM) · Sensi Bloom A + B (Base) · Voodoo Juice (2 mL/L) · Homemade Concentrate (3,450 PPM) · pH Up (Small drops for correction) Health Assessment: · Roots: Thick, white, and filling the bucket. · Canopy: Flat, wide, and entering the stretch. The "To Do" for Week 2: 1. Hydroguard arrival (7–12 June): I will continue Voodoo Juice until it arrives. When Hydroguard lands, that will be the next reservoir change. 2. Additives: Big Bud and Bud Candy are ready for Week 2 (Day 10-14). 3. Water Level Monitoring: I will keep a close eye on the level. My plants are drinking heavily. I will top with RO water as needed. My Assessment: Week 1 was a textbook transition. I handled stratification, calibrated my concentrate, and kept the pH in the sweet spot. My plants have responded with aggressive growth. I am now entering the "bud formation" phase of Week 2. Few days before i have been adjusting my light schedule by reducing the light period by 15 every day to get them accustom to the longer nights. must say that the RH in the tent which used to be around 65 on a good day is now around 70%. Will have to ring out the dehumidifier. They are still on the same water regime but i think during this flower period they consume more water. Also I am unsure how to properly defoliate these ladies. So much mixed literature on the topic. I need to though as the girls are getting bushy and I have found some leaves on laying on top of other leaves and forming wet surfaces. A prime environment for PM and other shit that wanna mess with my harvest.

Still growing strong actively. In particular Ryu developed lots of newly freshly white pistils but also the lower bud sites started to grow significantly. Fingers crossed that this will grow smoothly towards the end. The emergency harvested branches were ok but way to soon of course. At the same time they haven’t been very big either so I guess the impact on final harvest won’t be as big/maybe even beneficial as for air flow, nutrient supply etc for the rest of the branches. Also those I harvested have been excluded by my counting so far as I haven’t seen them since they were too low. There’s another one such candidate who might have to be emergency harvested as well but he’ll have a full more week and also he is heavily coated in sugar already. Let me know in the comments how well you can see the sugar coating, especially the lower bud sites sometimes have an excessive coating. Would be interesting to know whether this has anything to do with lower bud sites doing something that it makes them sugar up more. Or maybe it’s the light that is different in these darker areas The image quality in the video for some reason is much better often than in the photos. I don’t get why the iPhone isn’t just doing what it does in video mode in photo mode as well.

🌱 VEGETATIVE (4 weeks) The Runtz seed, placed in a root-riot cube within a DWC net pot, successfully sprouted by day 4, under an 18/6 light cycle (50W at 50cm). The first week saw the seedling establish itself, with roots extending into the DWC reservoir. During the second week, despite slightly low humidity and temperature, the seedling demonstrated robust and rapid growth. Light intensity was increased to 75W. Towards the end of this week, I removed the first set of true leaves as they were growing too close to the substrate. The third week marked a noticeable increase in the plant's water uptake (1 LT/day), which prompted me to raise the nutrient solution's EC to 1.0. The plant showed significant development while maintaining a compact stature – a trait I appreciated. In the fourth and final week of vegetation, as odors began to emerge, I installed a carbon filter, raised the EC to 1.2, keep the pH in the right range and boosted the light intensity further to 150W. By the end of this phase, the plant was bushy, compact (21 cm height), and healthy. 🌸 FLOWERING (8 weeks) For the first week I switched the light cycle to 12/12 and introduced a new nutrient solution adding Power Buds to the mix. During the second week I was impressed to see preflowers clearly visible as early as day 10 of flowering. So, during the third week I made a substantial defoliation session to manage the plant's increasing bushiness, which I knew would be crucial for later-stage light penetration and humidity control. In the fourth week I introduced a PK 8/9 booster, Green Sensation, thereby increasing the phosphorus and potassium concentration in the solution, water consumption around 3 LT/day. Towards the end of the week, I performed another significant defoliation, including the removal of lower, light-starved branches, to which the plant responded well. During the fifth week the stretching phase concluded, with the plant reaching its final height of 69cm. Its focus shifted to bud development, and the foliage began to adopt a darker hue. At this point, my role was primarily to maintain stable environmental parameters and a correct pH in reservoir. During the sixth week buds were visibly swelling daily, the plant remained in excellent health, and resin production became more pronounced. For the seventh week I implemented a change in feeding, completely cutting the nitrogen from the DWC solution, using only Green Sensation at a higher concentration. In the eighth and final week of flowering (week 12 overall), I performed a complete DWC reservoir change. I filled it with plain tap water and maintained this for 4 days leading up to harvest. On day 56 of flowering (84 from seed), the Runtz plant appeared perfectly ready. The buds were dense and glistening, pistils mostly browned and retracted, and trichomes displayed a good mix of milky and some amber. Immediately after harvesting her, I removed the fan leaves, deciding to dry these as well due to their remarkable resin content. ✅ DRYING The entire plant was hung to dry inside the grow box, which was kept completely dark with constant, gentle air circulation for 8 days. The average VPD during this period was maintained around 1.2 (approximately 20°C and 50% RH). Once this drying period was complete, I trimmed off all the sugar leaves. These resinous sugar leaves will be combined with the already dried fan leaves and larf buds, and I plan to use them to make cannabutter for edibles. ⚖️ Dry weight After the 8-day drying period, and once all the remaining small leaves and branches were removed from the buds, I weighed the final product: The harvest yielded: - 150 grams of dense buds and 5 grams of finger hash. For edibles: - 30 grams of larf and a large amount of fan and sugar leaves. ✅ CURING For the curing process, the dried buds were placed in a large, airtight glass jar. This jar was stored in a dark location within a room maintaining a stable temperature of around 20°C for a total of 45 days. The burping schedule was as follows: Day 1-7: twice daily for 10 min. Day 8-10: once daily for 10 min. Day 11-14: every other day for 10 min. Day 15-21: every 3 days for 10 min. Day 22-30: every 4 days for 10 min. Day 31-45: No burping. 📑 SMOKE REVIEW - At 15 days cured a vegetal note is still quite present and the smoke is a bit harsh, typical for a short cure. The effects are already pleasant and potent, very promising. - After 30 days of curing, the Runtz has improved considerably. The vegetal smell has mostly faded, giving way to a much more defined sweet and fruity fragrance reminiscent of candy and berries. The smoke is noticeably smooth, euphoric effects are dominant. - At 45 days, Runtz has expressed its full potential and is now perfectly cured for daily enjoyment. The aroma is intense and complex, an explosive mix of sweet candy and tropical notes. The effects are potent, starting with an uplifting cerebral euphoria that evolves into a pleasant body relaxation, without leading to couch-lock. 🍕 I also made cannabutter which I used to finish a risotto. The result was insane – both the risotto itself and the potency of the cannabutter were exceptional!
