Week 6 Veg Report – Runtz We Meet Again! Another week, another step forward in our Eternity Grow Cup 2025 journey, and oh boy, do we have a lot to unpack! Cal-Mag Deficiency Adjustment – Pheno #5’s Special Needs This week started with a close inspection of our phenos, and we noticed that Pheno #5 was showing early signs of a calcium/magnesium deficiency. Whether it was slightly off VPD levels or this particular plant being more demanding, we decided to correct it by increasing the dose of RO Water Conditioner. Now, while this isn’t a direct substitute for Cal-Mag, it does contain trace amounts that can help stabilize the situation. 🔬 Understanding Cal-Mag Deficiency: Calcium and magnesium are essential secondary nutrients. Calcium strengthens cell walls, preventing issues like tip burn and weak stems, while magnesium plays a critical role in chlorophyll production, allowing plants to efficiently absorb light energy. 💡 Signs of Deficiency: • Yellowing between veins (Magnesium) • Rust spots on leaves (Calcium) • Slow growth and weak stems ⚡ How We Address It: • Slightly increasing RO Water Conditioner to see if trace minerals help • Keeping an eye on overall nutrient uptake to ensure no lockout • Monitoring VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) closely to optimize nutrient absorption Let’s see how she reacts next week! Branching Development – Pheno #2 Leading the Race All five phenos are thriving, but Pheno #2 is showing the most aggressive branching, pushing outward faster than her sisters. However, overall, we’re seeing very uniform growth, which speaks volumes about the stability of these genetics. 🌱 What is Branching & Why It Matters? Branching is the plant’s way of expanding its canopy, increasing surface area for photosynthesis, and maximizing potential bud sites. Well-structured branches allow better airflow, light penetration, and more even growth—key for a successful high-yield harvest. ⚖️ Topping vs. Leaf Bending – The Training Choice Instead of topping, I’ve decided to go with leaf bending for now. This method allows for gentle manipulation of the plant’s growth without causing major stress. Once we introduce the SCROG (Screen of Green) net, this training will help maximize the canopy spread. •She was started for fun. •Not much to say about her just letting her do her. •Week 3 fead her with 2ml off grow auto from living Soils.

All 3 Pheno's have been topped - This strain seems to have more thicker indica like growth as opposed to a more stretched out sativa hybrid. No negative response to the topping - Waiting for lower nodes to come up. Overall healthy growth.

Pre flowers started on my soil grow. Just started seeing one or two white hairs on my hydro girl. Starting to clear up that calcium deficiency as well.

Business as usual……the stretch continues Was able to get in and defol 2/3 of the pbb. One is def smaller and one is def about 2x the size but its in a 3 gal that’s more like a 5gal. Definitely battling a little more humidity with 4 plants so hopefully the defol does its job. The Candy Candy is shower her flowering later but she’s also 4 weeks younger than the rest. She shouldn’t need a defol though. Gonna do a top dressing next week and see what these ladies do. Wish me luck!

The weekly forecast turned to high percentage of rain every day for the rest of this week. Night 4 and Day 5 we had heavy rain and thunderstorms. Day 6 was heavy cloud cover all day with high humidity. Day 7 we had lots of rain and drizzle. Night 7 we had more rain. These two girls seem to love it. The haven't missed a beat and got a boost when they tapped into the fertilizer. The listed nutrients are ml/gallon of soil and we're fed during week 1.

Hi people! Yes! I transplanted it into a 35 liter pot! and switched to flowering mode 12-12 .. The plant is just huge! this photo was taken immediately after transplanting and LSTb, so the plant is a little sad .. but you can still estimate how well it is developed and healthy .. next week it will appear before you in its full glory!

What's good in the hood growmies!!! I hope all your grows are going well. I missed week 8 and week 11 picture updates due to my busy schedule. These pictures were taken Friday 8/19/22 which was the start of week 12, I finally got around to posting them today which is Monday 8/22/22. Week 7 of flowering, everything is going as planned. I will give these babies the chop in a week maybe 2 max. I have been feeding them every 3 day which seems to be when they need a refill. Starting this Friday, I will only feed them plan PH'd water until they get chopped that is my way of flushing them, I like to do it progressively rather than flush all at once. It has been a very stress free experience for me, I feel like I have the game down pat as far as growing from seed. I still have my Caramelicious Feminized Photo mother plant vegging and growing and also White Widow#3 (which is 3 weeks behind the other White Widows) I just haven't been taking pictures of them. Been doing a lot of tweaking with the new gear and multiple sets of plants. Been quite a busy week and probably behind a bit on keeping track of everything. I'm currently working on trying to get better charts made to keep track of things like light schedules, detailed feedings, height change per day, etc. My current setup is my oldest 1st set of plants (5plants) and my 3rd set (6 seedlings), in my new 4x4 Vivosun grow tent equipped with a Spider Farmer SF-1000. I have kept my 2nd set of plants (4plants) in my original 4x2 Vivosun equipped with 600W Vivosun LED. These plants had been extremely stressed due to not having soil or containers available with shipping constraints. They've been doing a lot better since then and I'm hoping they make a full recovery. Fingers crossed! Running 24hr light schedule. Both tents equipped with temp/hygro high and low ranging from about 71-81°F with an average of about 78°F. Watering by plant pot weight, according to GH FloraTrio + CalMag Schedule. Mild LST via tucking of leaves blocking developing sites. No more than 3 leaves removed per plant, per day to avoid stress. ______________________________________ Can't wait to start upgrading the quality of my journals and to hear you all's feedback! It's running all three of my fans, both lights and has the carbon filter system and humidifier hooked up to it as well. I basically have the other 4x2 just sitting as a shell for the moment. Either planning to save it for climate control when curing the first harvest or sell it to invest in another Spider Farmer SF-1000 LED or equivalent and possibly another 4x4 tent. I have started a grow chart that's still a little sketchy but if nothing else having it here hells me keep up with it that much better. The first set of plant's nutrients was made to 4gal of water. The mix is a ratio of (Cal-Mag/GHMicro/GHGro/GHBloom) It's mixed (for the 4gal) in order; 10mL, 5mL, 10mL, 10mL. 440ppm @ 98.5°F 890EC @ 2.2°F us/cm This new nutrient mix was applied for the first time tonight and will run about a week. I'm running a bit behind according to the GH schedule I was following due to stunting the growth I felt like over a couple issues to where I have them an extra week of veg nutrients. As I have defoliated them and they have seemed to take it pretty well, I'm hoping the increase in bloom nutrients will kick the buds into overdrive for production and the plants will start to thicken up again. The second mix follows the same order as the first set in regards to nutrient usage. This mix is only mixed to one gallon. It as follows; 2.5mL, 2.5mL, 1.25mL, 2.5mL. 500ppm @ 98.6°F 992EC @ 0.4°F us/cm This is mostly following the same GH nutrient schedule as the first set only about 2 weeks behind. These plants suffered from being in too small of containers for too long and I believe this stunted their growth. I've had them in suitable new containers for a couple days now and hoping this new mix of increased nutrients will bring them back to life a bit and get them back in schedule. I'm honestly not too sure still about the ppm and EC numbers but a few bud-dies have mentioned that it plays important roles in plant health. So until I can better research good numbers and how to control it for my set up, I'm at the very least trying to keep track of the data. I apologise about this large chunk of text!
