Now that Bertha is gone the tent smells Karenish. See you tomorrow! Day 78: Added several more carnivorous plants to the budding collection. Enjoy! Day 79: Fertigated 5l. She's starting to mature now. Frost developing slower, buds fattening and ripening faster. Were maybe two weeks away here. Night 80: Added tent photo and vid. Day 81 update later today. Day 81: Added a lot of media. Got a cheap digital microscope to try and get better micro shots. As you can see Karen is nowhere near yet. Day 82: Things are moving very fast, just look at the difference today. I am certain were with 2 weeks of harvest. Does anyone have advice on flushing/not watering. Fertigated 5l. Day 83: At the current rate of maturation I think the end of next week maybe be harvest time. Height 51cm Day 84: Karens smell is really strong now it washes across your face when you open the tent. End of week summary: A full week of nothing but bud swelling and maturation. I still think she needs another 2 weeks. Unfortunately my living situation has rather abruptly changed and now I have a tough choice to make: harvest/destroy or move plants. There is a strong chance I will chop Karen at the end of next week if she is ready or not.

Plants that are too far from an adequate light source will respond by accelerating stem growth in order to get closer to the lamp themselves. Especially when there are many other plants. A lack of lighting can easily cause overcrowding in a growing chamber, reducing the steady progression of your crop and the distance ratio between your bulbs and your plants. To address this problem, be sure to provide enough light to your plants to prevent stem growth. At the same time, you should not position your lights too close to your plants either since this would also result in an over-stretching of the stems and in some cases, the loss of your crop. In addition to the distance between the light source and the plant, the type of light you will use also affects the size of the stretching of your crop. The orange and red lights encourage stretching and result in thinner, larger stems. And conversely, blue light stimulates a growth of thicker stems and a smaller size. When a species is ready to enter the vegetative phase and undergo its most drastic stretching period, metal halide lamps can be used to deter far too long stems. THE HEAT Heat is another essential element that can determine the stretch size of your plants during vegetation. Temperatures above 27 degrees push the stems to lengthen more and more and will propel the potential of sativas to push as high as possible. Heat lamps that are positioned too close to plants create an intolerable environment that will grow large, soft plants that will potentially wobble until they fall and lose flowers in its fall. OTHER CAUSES OF STRETCHING There are multiple variables that can lead to the stretching of plants beyond what could normally be expected of the plant. Environmental stressors resulting from transplantation (when a plant passes from one pot to another) can cause the plant to return to shock. This will eventually trigger a reaction causing a stretch. Cannabis plants that are not grown in decent conditions or do not receive enough nutrients will respond in a variety of ways and this includes stretching. Crops that are not spaced far enough apart are likely to stretch to sting the light to other plants. Due to extreme proximity, the plants will fight among themselves to reach the light, forcing them to expand as much as possible throughout the crop. HOW TO CONTROL STRETCHING DURING FLOWERING Stretching during flowering, you guessed it, takes place when you move your plants from the vegetation stage to the flowering stage. This is a completely normal reaction, as your plants are preparing to bear the weight of their heads. Stretching of a plant at the beginning of flowering varies widely; some plants can double in height while others grow only a few centimetres. There are, however, two main variables that can give you at least an idea of how your plants are stretching during flowering, and how much. Here are these two variables: Variety: Genetics has the greatest impact on the size of your plant. In general, sativa varieties stretch more than indicas and tend to develop long, slender stems. Light: Some lights, such as HPS, are more likely to encourage stretching. In addition, great distances between your canopy and your lights will cause the plants to stretch as they try to get closer to the light source. Stretching during flowering usually lasts the first two weeks of the phase. To minimize stretching, keep your lights between 10 (for CFL) and 30 centimetres (for HID) of your canopy. Finally, choose indica varieties if you have a smaller growing space. HOW TO AVOID STRETCHING In many cases, you can expect your cannabis plants to stretch during the flowering phase. Keeping that in mind helps to make a plan in case your species ends up growing much more than you could have imagined. If the information is available, get information on the standard size of your species and compare it to the size of your growing space taking into account the necessary distances between the bulbs and the plants. TRAFFIC While outdoor crop operations benefit from natural air to naturally limit stretching, indoor crops must assume the maintenance of air circulation within a confined space. Basic ventilation is enough to help the cannabis stems strengthen and become thicker rather than too high. In this way, the plants continue to grow vigorously without reaching heights and at the same time, your tolerance ceiling. MANUAL INTERVENTION For growers who want to get their hands dirty, there are physical procedures that can be done to reduce stretching. Similar to the natural effect that the wind has on cannabis plants, manually bending the leaves and stems will cause tiny cracks in the plant's tissues that will cause the plant to focus on regenerating its wounds instead of its vertical growth. THE TOPPING Topping is a form of manual intervention on cannabis to influence its performance, shape or size. In essence, topping is a process in which a new node is cut, growing from the plant to reduce its size and create a "v"-shaped notch that will eventually form two heads. Topping may be an effective measure to combat stretching, but it is important not to do so when the flowering phase begins. In most cases, an abnormal stretch of cannabis plants will not completely destroy your crop. In fact, stretching can indeed help increase your performance. For growers with a growing operation large enough to contain tall plants, stretching can increase the total yield of a species with more vertical space for head formation. In both cases, stretching can easily be planned in advance and there are multiple solutions to help you with this problem which is all too common. May the force be with you 💪

Not much to report, DS1 is the bigger of the two, both smell nice, very frosty and lots of purple. Will update in 7-10 days with initial smoke report and dry weight. Week 7 mix pack looks like we have 4 different strains of 4, it would be really really lucky but to be honest all 4 plants are not even close in structure, bud, leaves and color. So it would be: Guava Banana purple punch Apple Strudel Cherry Cola All RF3 This is also the order in which I put the photos. Guava looking a bit forward. Week 6 for Papaya Cookies… it has a lot of bud sites, maybe I should have cut some to redirect energy to bigger buds but let’s see what happens. Love the mystery in this grow and the colors it’s showing. Exited for what’s next!!

Day 49 flower- Discovered loads of adult fungus gnats around the sour kosher#1.. thinking that’s why it’s been showing signs of stress and some yellowing and curling on fan leaves around the top colas. Put down a bunch of sticky traps and going to let them dry out for now. Smell is so strong from the blue gelato 41, gassy cake smell. The sour kosher #2 looks and smells incredible, has been healthy and green this whole grow with great bud formation/production! I’d love to keep this pheno but can I take a cutting late flower? Or maybe I’ll just re veg it. 24k#1 is still massively behind on bud development, coming like a true sativa. I may well end up having to harvest this one later than all the rest. Still having problems with the 24k#2 top fan leaves turning very yellow and crispy.. but the bud production actually looks really good and frosty. Only 3 weeks to go so I’m sure it will make it, lots of green leaves still left lower on the plant. Trying to keep the dog out my room but there is still husky hairs throughout the whole grow 🙄 unstoppable. Can’t wait to get these drying and taste the final product!

Did some defoilation, buds are swelling and smelling A.Full sunlight 8am-5pm plus 3 hours 600w hps.Halved base nutes and doubled bloom more or less.

Day 69: As you can see, lucky the buds gone bigger but because of these intense feeding to fix the grow, they start to get nutrient burns. So for the new week i might only give water until the end with maybe some Regulator, enzymen, humic-blast... They also don't drink fast anymore. Another indicator that they having a hard time taking all the nutrients and that they are at their end of their stage. Some smaller plants, that finished growing and flowering faster, are already done and will get cut down in the comming days. These plants are some Gorilla's and some are cherry cola's. As you see, some have been foxtailing because i had to raise the lamps everytime. I personally don't like fox tail buds but i know some people that love them, pure flower to smoke. I really liked to make those photos in the dark, It shows many flowers and thc.

Today I’ve taken off the top buds. They were looking ready under a microscope. Hopefully the rest of the buds are ready in a couple of days.

La planta está reaccionando con mucho vigor 😍💥 Este día añado a la carpa el sistema TrolMaster TCS-1 Tent-X Día 26 (11/02). *********Week 4 Flower - October 10 to 16, 2020, Days 22 to 28********* They are doing awesome!!! Nice progress for week 4. The tent is getting stuffy and full. Flower has been very strong for growth. Cream 47 girls are getting thicker and praying hard everyday. The leaves are big and pointing up everyday. Further leaf strip this week to allow more light below. Nutrients are following the same for the most part this week. Big Bud doing its job and helping to swell the colas. Silica still added to keep strengthening her stems. Overall, stay the course this week and keep them happy. Getting stuffy and looking forward to a bigger tent arriving soon😀 Little more detail........ Oct 11/20, Day 23 - 4L - Rezin, Terpinator @ 2ml, Big Bud, B52 @ 1.5ml, CalMag, Sensi Bloom, Bud Candy @ 1ml - good amount of runoff from the pots. - water only next feed.....reminder😀 - had some higher heat levels yesterday at 86 degrees. The leaf strip is helping and down to 82 now. Oct 12/20, Day 24 - Light watering again today. - 3L with Enzymes @ 1ml = 25ppm and 5.6pH - Leaves are darkening up.....little concerning. - letting them do their thing. Oct 13/20, Day 25 - 3L - Rezin, B52 @ 2ml, CalMag @ 1ml = 400ppm and 6.1pH. (missed pH was 6.4…...added B52 to lower) - took a couple of lower branches from C47 girls. Oct 14/20, Day 26 - 3L - Microbial Mass @ 1.5ml, Piranha @ 1ml = 80ppm and 5.9pH (was shooting for 6.0) - C471 had runoff pretty quickly. - Microbes to help the roots as we get closer to the end. - sticky girls removing a couple of leaves today. So that wraps up the week. They look good but I am not seeing huge changes from the start of the week? Looking good though......keep getting frosty girls👍

Week two of flower nothing exiting happening yet. The plants are very healthy and happy for the most part. The Purple Shah #2 has a slight mag def I have not been able to keep up with but nothing major.

Week 8 (Day 56) Flower- Sooo close! Another week done, and just days away from harvest. I’m going to do one more day of light, and then 48-60 hours of dark, then girls get chopped 🤗 They are smelling strong 👃, like OG skunk, sandalwood/cedar and cherry wine. I can’t wait! I’m looking online for some new Autoflower’s to fill in between getting some new photos going in the new year. New grow starting soon!

Fat and sticky....

This is my very first indoors plant. The buds are very dense and have a strong smell. Bringing her up has been quite easy and the new mars hydro tsw2000 light has done a great job. Have trimmed most of leaves off and in 48 hours darkness and she is ready for harvest. Very very satisfied with this girl
