Shadows require light to exist. A shadow is a reduction of light, not a total absence. Greetings from Russia my comrades! Thanks to all those who read me and support. I'm free, and that means that everything is fine and my little farm continues to grow. You know that I decided to grow for experiments parent plant and made him a bunk pot with his hands from a plastic Cup and bottle. Next, I plan to put it in a huge 90 liter construction tank. I want it to be a real tree! After I put a Cup with a plant in a bottle of 5 liters, it adapted and took root. After that, I gave her root stimulants and a working solution. She has derailed many new powerful roots and significantly has increased in growth. I removed five pairs of vegetative leaves from the Central stem, so that they do not block the light to the side branches. The plant is very cheerful, develops steadily.

This week went very well, I did some minor LST, and some light defoliation. I believe I have a nice base built for her, now I am just hoping she grows a little bit before flower. She is starting to show some tiny white hairs, but I think I have another week of growth left. Thanks for checking me out and blaze on.

2020-07-24 (Day 129) This girl and her GSG sister have cow manure mixed in and this is the first week I’ve added nutes. Leaves weren’t yellowing but I felt that overall the plants were pale throughout, especially compared to her clone. From here on out I’m more or less letting her do her thing. I’ll likely have to add supports once she starts bulking up with flowers. I’ll also have to move her and her GSG sister in my yard once flowering initiates as the sun will be blocked more by my hedges come that time. It’s been sunny and warm with little rain, so far knock on wood an amazing summer for growing outdoor. Stay tuned, flowering is just around the corner!

WEEK 12 It was very warm this week for my OG Kush. Some leaves have lost a bit of color, but overall the flower production is progressing well. By now, all of the many large shoots are completely covered with big buds. They’re slowly getting larger, but they still have a long way to go before reaching their full potential. This phenotype takes its time during flowering, but it will certainly deliver an enormous yield. I’m really curious to see how that turns out. The plant is receiving and needing quite a lot of nutrients. At the moment, everything seems to be working reasonably well, and I hope the last few weeks continue like this. WEEK 7 My plant is now well into flowering, but hasn’t stretched much so far. That might be due to the large number of shoots that have developed. Still, there’s already a decent amount of visible buds, which makes me really happy. I expect she’ll gain a bit more height, but overall she’ll likely stay compact and bushy. I’m satisfied and excited to see more of what’s to come. This week, my lamp ran at 600 PPFD, and I watered once with plain water and once with nutrient solution.

Der Haupttrieb sowie die Nebentriebe haben sich gut entwickelt – typisch für das Ende der Vegiphase. Blattfarbe ist sattgrün, keine Mängel erkennbar. Struktur ist offen, luftig und gesund – ein gutes Zeichen für die kommende Blüte. Training: Bereits getoppt, gute Wirkung sichtbar. Die Seitentriebe übernehmen zunehmend die Führung. Leichtes LST zur besseren Lichtverteilung wurde begonnen bzw. fortgesetzt. Wasser/Dünger: Gegossen mit Regenwasser . Letzte Gabe des 5in1 Bio-Düngers erfolgt – ab nächster Woche wird auf Blütedünger umgestellt, wenn sich die Vorblüte weiter zeigt. Sonstiges: Vermutlich letzte Woche in der Vegi, da an den oberen Nodien bereits erste Anzeichen der Vorblüte sichtbar sind (kleine “Fädchen”). This has been a week of consequential stretch to stress the least! Some girls are about done stacking inches and some still got about a week more worth of elongating. Took a calculated risk heavily defoliating and lollipopping them mid-stretch which they seem to have withstood with no issues whatsoever. I’m starting to smell fruit also. Reminds me of my old neighbourhood’s Jamba Juice aroma that lingered around the block in the morning when you knew they were busy squeezing those tropical fruits by the carload!

23/07/2021 (F DAY 56) Seguimos observando solamente. Preparando los dos riegos semanales y cargando el cisterna del blumat. Empiezan a aparecer unos tricomas marrones en la Sweet Cheese pero muy pocos, se estima que semana que viene o la otra se va!

Plants continued to grow well some plants show signs of nutrient deficiencies, trying to address it without burning all the other plants. But besides that all looks good and we ready to flip to flower. 12/12 cycle to start. Clones looking strong and ready to be replanted as mothers for the next batch of clones / SOG

After another weekend spent away from home, on day 26 both Opiums present at 30 cm height, having grown big and bushy. Their thirst increased, I will water them when their next day starts. And do some more LST. Not too long until I can install the scrogging net. I am really impressed by their progress. They developed a lot of branching side branches and look really healthy and bushy. In contrast to what I wrote before, I think I can stay a few days longer with the current 80% 18/6 lighting scheme. Leaf positions do not show signs of light hunger, so no reason to change. Watered them with 1.5 l each on their 27th morning, this time adding some flower fertilisers too. Compensated their relief with some more LST. I can see in timelapse video they are tmelselves compensating this stress easily; it’s amazing to see how fast they turn their heads. You’ll see soon too. For reference: Pot diameter is approx. 25 cm. So lady #1 spreads about this much, lady #2 is even about 10 cm more. Guess they’ll make a very dense scrog surface, but first let’s have them have their stretch. Day 28 evening revealed ladies are getting thirstier. The holey pots might be helpful in root development, but they are not when it comes to keeping the tent clean. Because of their structure, water runs out in respectable quantities each time they are fed, which takes a long time to evaporate and adds to air humidity of course. Which on the other hand is currently quite ok. Outside air temperatures are around 30 °C the last days, so a bit more humidity helps to keep the VPD in range. Which is quite ok as I still cannot complain about their growth – around 2–3 cm each day currently. Grow video for day 28 (sorry about the interferences! Due to the control hard- & software being offline I cannot silence the blower(s) when a photo is taken anymore) shows steady growth and very vivid movements again. Dropping of their leaves around their evening is possibly due to me watering them again as soil was surprisingly dry already. On their day 29 evening, it’s clear to see how much they are stretching: They really gained 5 cm since yesterday! Lights are close to 30 cm, so I think I’ll reposition things a bit when their next week starts. Attached video shows the day’s progress. They say you cannot scrog an Automatic but seeing the development speed and bushiness I decided to give it a try nonetheless. I guess the buds can profit from being a bit more apart from each other if I handle to fiddle them through the holes in time. I rearranged the lights to be at about 45 cm apart from the tops and set the lights to 100% at a 16/8 lighting scheme, waking them up one hour later than before and sending them to sleep one hour earlier. Last day of this week, day 30, shows that growth speed has even increased. Lady 1 crosses the scrog net already which is positioned at 46 cm above soil. Gave them slightly enhanced water again, 2 l each.
