We are trying to survive the heat wave we have here at the moment. Hopefully an extra dose of silicone will aid a bit... Both plants look very well. The mainlined plant is slightly taller at 58 cm, while plant 1 measures 54 cm.

Did some slight training on one plant. Defoliated a couple lower points but overall just letting them do their thing. Got everything locked in at this point. I've got to water daily. Half of the girls already have some color in their pistols! Thanks for stopping by.

I harvested her today, the trichomes were to my liking. She is STINKY, she is definatly taking after her diesel heritage, granted, she does have a super fruity tropical smell. She developed some purple tinges to the calix with the lights out temp in the 60's. Super starchy, and lanky. She needed support 3 weeks into flower. The buds are fat and solid. There was some foxtailing at the end, but its expected. She is super frosty and I'm happy with the outcome thus far. I'm trying out whole plant hang drying instead of individual branch hanging. Definatly saving me some time.

Still not given any food at 35 days since popping. She's growing well and I've put her in a 4ltr pot. I've pinched the top out to slow down the vertical growth.

Happy New Year!!! Over the past week I did some HST bending on my photos and cut down 2 of the 3 Blackberry’s. The branches are starting to recover and straighten out after the HST now. I still have some issues with pale leaves and a few spots here and there. I’m going to try adding some Dolomite Lime with the next watering and think that should help with the paleness. I’m also going to up the amount of CalMag and Mammoth P to see if that helps with the spotting. I’m not sure if I should see the spotted leaves recover or if the spots will remain. I suspect the spots will remain on the existing leaves regardless of what I do at this point, but hopefully no new spotting will develop. The lights went off before I was done taking pics, so some pics will look a little different. The pics with the lights on I had to color correct, they still look a little more on the yellow side than in reality, but much closer to reality than the pre-color corrected versions. Once the lights went off I turned the flash on for my camera, those pics did not need any color correction. You can see the differences in the pics of all plants, the first 2 are color corrected with the lights on, the last 2 are taken with a flash and no color correction. Also all close up pics of the Critical+ are with the lights off and flash on. I read several books on cannabis over the past few days, some good, some not so much. One that I liked was “Marijuana Cultivation Reconsidered: The Science and Techniques For Huge Indoor Yields” by Read Spear. This book is available on Amzon’s Kindle Unlimited service, which costs $9.99/month, but they offer a free 30 day trial (which is what I’m using at the moment). Reed’s book is broken down into 3 sections, the first and third go fairly deep into the science behind growing, he does a pretty good job at breaking it down in easy to understand terms, but I had to read several sections 2 or 3 times to really get it (or just move on with as much understanding as I could digest). The second section is the nuts and bolts of growing. Most was a review but there were several topics he touched on I hadn’t thought of in a while. And again its well written. He also offers the section only in a separate book called “Small Spaces, Big Yields”. If you are not interested in going deeper into the science behind growing, “Small Spaces, Big Yields” is what I would recommend (if interested in reading books on cannabis). I took some notes while reading and I’m going to add some of these notes in my dairy updates over the next few weeks. This week I’m going to include a note on electrical, this should be a fairly basic concept, but it is super important IMO… “Electrical Items In a sealed grow room or in a tent, you will have water pooling on the floor from time to time. There is no avoiding this. Mop it up when you see it, and never put your electrical gear directly on the floor. Never. Not even for a moment. In fact, let me stress this point in bold capital letters. ALL ELECTRICAL GEAR MUST BE MOUNTED SECURELY ON A WALL OR TENT POLE.” -Read Spear I’ll add more did bits like this in my diaries over the upcoming weeks. If anyone has any good book recommendations please let me know in the comments. I’m looking for books that might not be as popular as the ones by Jorge Cervantes or Ed Rosenthal (I’ve read those). I did just order “True Living Organics” by The Rev which I’m looking forward to reading. But I’m looking for more. I really want to step it up and learn as much as possible. Update of the garden

Day 32 - Heater was blowing directly on a couple of the leaves that turned brown. Cut them off. Raised lights up again. I think my development is a little slower than others but I have had a lot of trial and error. Day 33 - added tomato rack for LST. growing nicely. Day 34 - Stopped nutes as I was getting a little leaf burn in lower leaves. Looks good otherwise. Lights are dialed in. Day 35.- This is what too much light looks like. Day 37 - Switched to the grow light. Moved the heater. Growing nicely. Day 38 - Lights dialed in REDUCED water. Stopped watering for 2 days. Day 39 - Full Lights on now. Put more holes in the pot. Draining nicely now.

Their first Neem oil leaf drench massage. Their first fertigation or watering. For the Og kush the third week Biobizz nutrient dose was followed. The only addition to the third week All Mix dosology was the inclusion of Alg a mic. At the above rate + Great white + bactrex. The above list of nutrients correspond to the OG KUSH Allmix schedule and doses. Fot the amnesia haze the watering had only Bactrex, White sark and Pro symbiotic at the doses listed above. No pH was adjusted nor measured and no EC either. *03/29 UPDATE* Since no option given for "breaking down" each strain individually ragarding the Nutrients section I ll update the irrigation/fertigation/nutrient regimen for each week in this section. Each time something changes on the Nutrients section it ll always be the last used doses of nutrients only for the OG Kush strain. For the Amnesia only CalMag treated water will be given in alternate irrigations along with a twice a week bacteria introduction to the system. So, today both plants got 1.8 lts of RODI CalMag treated water to .340EC with a controlled pH of 6.3. The Amnesia had a significantly higher runoff which I didn't anticipate nor understand but I'll find out why for sure. Some light LST directional guiding was given to the plants for forming purposes and future canopy levelling. In the Grow Hut since day one the plants are continuously enjoying the company of Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia s music. They love it! *03/30 UPDATE* The best possible outcome regarding live phytoprotection by beneficial insects for pest control. As of yesterday I have two unidentified tiny sliders, possibly common garden ones and as of today a Coccinellidae sp. larvae running around the canopy (check the video) Hope for many more of them sweet protectors. Neem oil along with DE has successfully helped in deterring some Gnat "congregation". *03/31 UPDATE* Plants are growing strong and vigorous. Some LST done and their new canopy hairdo can be seen in the pics.

I'm so happy to see pre flowers at 4 weeks... going into week 5 Dutch Blue Automatic is looking strong and robust growth everywhere. Thank you Marcel, @ Spliff Seeds for the opportunity to grow! Life is good! The true UVB light has been killing any insects and any mildew or mold... UVB is a must have in every garden.

Easy grow, was Concerned at first about leaf shape, I thlught issues at first, but seems to be a crinkle leaf pheno. Its goddang chop day on this mammy.

*Increased PPM From 650 to 750 *Plants look a little bigger, but also need to be transplanted into bigger containers for flowering. *Limited space will make them stay there we will see what happens.

Allowing the girls a week more veg under the scrog to fill up the net. Watered I. At 600ml top dressed 1tbs grow 3tbs bloom, 2tbs insect frass, 2tbs worm castings, 1tbs myco. A Recharge only day and a Silica only day. Yucca as a surfactant.

This week didn‘t started really well. There were big rainfalls all over germany but especially in my region. I had the plants in the greenhouse so they were safe but after days of rain the water started to drip into the greenhouse. I tried to keep the plants in dry spots but just saw that one of my plants had mold in her flowers. I immediately cut the piece with mold off to keep the rest of the plant safe. As I removed the leaves from the buds I carefully looked all over the buds and cut the mold and the area around it off. I also cut all the buds off the stem and will dry them seperated from each other and not hanging on the stem like last time. This way the risk of another mold infection after the harvest is lower. The next bad news is that the Painkiller looked really sad. Lower leaves were turning yellow or white and the leaves were hanging down. I decided to remove some big fan leaves and to cut off the yellow and white small leaves. Then I watered her good and gave her some self made nutrients out of nettles. In the evening the plant already stood straight again and looked good!
