Hey now, I hope everyone is having a great weekend. The Strawberry Banana is doing well, I am just doing some LST every couple of days, and she is just starting to stretch. She is still feeding on silica, cal mag, and maxi grow veg nutes by GHE. She seem to be loving this Medic Grow Spectrum X, which I am now running at 70% and also running the UV/IR bars for 1 hour before lights off. I also did a light defoliation this week to allow some airflow and her to focus more energy on the upper branches. I will continue to with LST and veg nutrients until the vertical growth stops, then I will transition her to flower nutrients, and change her lighting to the red spectrum. Day 69 - 15/11/19 Were finally here at harvest and im happy with the result :) i planned as much as i could and winged the rest :) I collected lots of small, early harvest buds and left them to dry. kept a small bit for bongs and put all the really sticky trim in the freezer! gonna make cannabutter with it next week :) I liked the strains i chose from RQS, they took every newbie mistake i threw at them :D ive learned so much and it shows in my other diaries :) Il update this harvest a couple of times through this last week to show the effects of drying and curing, other than that thanks to all for helping and check out my other diaries to see how ive progressed :) Update - 18/11/19 I dried the buds for a couple of days and wow they dry well :) smoked them in a bong and it got me over a rough few days. I didnt see the point in curing this as i only got a couple grams. and to even get a couple of grams off a plant that had such a bad transplant just shows how resistant they are. I loved this strain, the smell was funky and it was a joy to grow. Thank you RQS!

I busted myself up so havent been able to get into the grow much for a couple weeks. They are definitely thirsty and not getting enough water so will water more deeply next time around a gallon per tote a day.

The first part of this week has been great. It's cool but dry. There's was no dew on day 2. It's sunny with low humidity during the day. The plants are feeding on the built up nutes in the soil. I did not feed the listed formula although that is what I use prior to the flush week and thought I'd include it. We missed two projected rains and received one very light rain in the early a.m. hours of day 6 of this week. This was a great week for the girls. The rain didn't materialize like the forecast. We still had p.m. hours humidity in the 90s and cool nights, but these girls handled it. Only one has shown susceptibility to powdery mildew. Overall this is a beast outdoor strain for the Midwest USA. We have had a lot of leaf eating caterpillars attacking the plants because the trees are losing their green leaves. Just some natural defoliation no biggie.

Growing right along. I've got the carbon filter working overtime because these ladies STINK. as soon as the reservoir is empty I'll be pulling them out of the tent for a super heavy final defoliation. Top colas seem to be combining for some HUGE nugs. They are drinking an insane amount of water every day. My 15 gallon reservoir lasts maybe 3 days. Can't wait to try some blueberry headband when they are done.

Very happy with 100% germination rate! They all popped within 36h then put into 70% happy frog soil 30% perlite

All went well this week, apart from my phmeter breaking... I guess more two weeks of waiting. The colas are well developed, but the lower flowers ain't. But both are full of tricomes.

Flowering is well under way! one of the Banana Purple Punches is already kind enough to start purpling! Rootjuice has been faded out to 0. Watering on 13/03 with 4 ml/L of terra bloom, 1,4 EC, 1.5L each per plant Watering on 16/03 with 5 ml/L of terra bloom, 1.6 EC, 1.5L each per plant Defoliated today, hopefully for the last time. Mainly the insides of every plant where it gets too bushy. i used the trellis net in the early week of veg just to help me spread the branches out, now im unsure of what to do with it (continue, dont continue etc) since im pretty happy with how the plants turned out training wise. it still functions to hold my humidity sensors i can check over my feed so its not "useless" lol

basically done, couple days more to ripen and let the soil dry out.

Here we go ladies and gentlemen! Welcome back to my Strawberry Cheesecake by seedsman, Diary. As we can see it was an amazing week after the top dress. She loved it! We have a nice lush color, good growth, and I'm hoping for a good solid stretch in the next coming weeks. I have to say, this is definitely the most uniform and beautiful structured auto I've seen in a lonnnnng time. Well done seedsman, now let's see how she flowers!!

I harvested a week earlier , because I spotted some minor bud rot in lower branches. I don't know why, bud I could not see any sign of bud rot in the bigger buds. I just found them , because I found some twisted sugar leaves, which is in most causes a bullet proof sign. The plant overall seemed to be in a pretty good condition, with minor nitrogen deficiency and some potassium/phosphorus. The last to, I should have added a small amount more, to make the buds a bit more dense, but the current state is ok. Although , it was a complete outdoor grow, pushing bud density would probably have gotten to a more a more bud rot state. This plant is really easy to grow, she almost runs for itself and does need little to no care. I chose a big pot , 25 liters , added 12 liter of light Mix and filled the rest with Coco and perlite. After that, I barely added nutrients and just waited for signs of deficiency, which barely occurred. Aroma: The aroma ist very sweet and some kind of fruity, but not generic , it is outstanding in its own kind of way. You're definitely missing lemon scents, but I think it's more of orange . There are no signs of earthy , peppery or stinky smells. Just pure sweet fruit. Unfortunately it means, I can not smell " cookies". But I thing this also happens to a lot of " cookie" strains and is often exaggerated, if claimed. I hung her up in my whine fridge , 16°C and 60% rlf for the first few days. After that, I turned rlf down to about 52%. She smells exactly like she did outdoors. Her smell does not hit you in the face. But if you smell it, it is really pleasant and calming. The smoking test be added , after I tested it for a few days. Overall in growing this variety, I rate this strain 8/10. I would would give this strain more stars, if I could really smell cherry and cookies. Unfortunately, the cherry smell combines more with the overall fruity smell, which makes it hard to isolate it. I can definitely recommend this strain to beginners, if they seek a user friendly hybrid with a guaranteed nice (bag)-appeal and reliable sweet, but not kushy aroma. A pro grower will definitely hit bigger scales, if grown indoors and preferably in Coco / hydro. I hope you enjoyed my conclusion and take it consideration, when you plan to buy some beans. The pistils on all plants are getting more and more brown, its time to check the trichomes now. I check with a handheld microscope and they are getting milky, but not yet amber, which means they are ALMOST READY TO HARVEST, but not yet. The amount of crystals produced under the Q6W-Gen.2 LED-lamps from SANlight is astounding, the plants are coated in trichomes! This week I stopped giving any nutrients in order to FLUSH the plants, this is VERY IMPORTANT in order to get a smooth smoke of the dried end-product. The aroma of the plants is VERY STRONG NOW, they smell mouth-watering. The Shiva Skunk has a sweet, musky smell with a fresh citrus note to it, its a delight to smell those plants. The Serious Kush smells EXTREMELY fuely and gassy, like the OG-Kush, but with an amount of buds like the White Russian, its FLABBERGASTING. I cant wait to try those two strains...😎
