**Vegetation Phase - Week 1** The Donutz ladies have officially stepped into their first week of vegetative growth. After a strong start, we’ve gently introduced a small dose of Greenhouse Feeding Bio nutrients to begin supporting early growth. Watering remains minimal, as these young plants aren’t thirsty yet — they’re steadily finding their stride, with roots spreading through the Floragard Growmix soil. **Environment & Care**: - **Water**: Lightly administered reverse osmosis (RO) water keeps things clean and precise. - **Nutrients**: A hint of Greenhouse Feeding Bio fertilizer to nudge growth along without overwhelming. - **Conditions**: Temperature and humidity kept stable for optimal root and shoot development. **Plant Progress**: - All 10 Donutz are healthy and showing strong vigor, with consistent growth. - Leaves are vibrant and lush, indicating proper photosynthesis and nutrient uptake. - We can almost imagine their roots spreading through the rich Floragard soil, exploring and establishing themselves, while above ground, they’re standing strong and ready to keep pushing upward. The sea is calm but promising; each young Donutz is primed to expand and flourish. The tent remains a harmonious environment, setting the stage for an epic SOG canopy. Patience and gentle care continue to be key as they find their rhythm in this new life.

Two weeks have passed since the flip. Plants haven’t started flowering yet, but they’ve already shown their sex. The height distribution turned out quite interesting, almost like it was planned. Weekly growth: #4 – 55 cm – getting pretty close to the light already #3 – 24 cm – perfect size for my box, exactly what I wanted #6 – 7 cm – solid progress compared to last week Overall everything is stable. I’m doing light defoliation, removing 2–3 leaves per day where they block light from growth tips. I’m not going for heavy defoliation — after reading and watching a lot, I’d rather keep the leaves. There’s also an opinion that around week 3 you shouldn’t remove too much anyway, and in general aggressive leaf stripping isn’t a great idea, partly because of mold risks. Why mold? Because external humidity isn’t as important as internal humidity inside the buds. The plant constantly releases moisture through transpiration all the way until harvest. If you remove most of the leaves, where does that moisture go? Exactly — into what’s left: buds and small inner leaves. That can create near 100% humidity inside dense flowers. You can drop RH in the room all you want, but inside the buds conditions for mold can still be ideal. Add a strong day/night temperature swing reaching the dew point, and it becomes a perfect environment for mold. So I’ll keep most of the leaves, just thinning enough to improve light penetration both from the top and bottom, without going overboard. Gradual defoliation also causes less stress compared to doing a heavy lollipop in one go. This isn’t a commercial farm with 1000 plants — we can afford to be precise and take off a few leaves every couple of days. Nothing more to report for now. Plants are still stretching — expecting the first “buttons” any day now.

So It's week 7 of flowering for my Supafreak Girl and let me tell you, she's looking absolutely stunning! I can't help but feel proud and excited every time I check up on her progress. It's been a bit of a wild ride getting here, but it's all been worth it. The Supafreak strain definitely lives up to its name - this plant is a freak of nature in the best way possible. As we are in the maintenance phase, I'm just admiring her beauty and keeping an eye on those trichomes. It's amazing how much can change in just a day or two. How did you create/breed Freakshow? A. Methodical selection, line breeding, and culling is the short answer. Read our About page for more details. Q. Is it an indoor or outdoor type? A. Everything I've ever worked has been outdoors, including of course Freakshow. It has been our experience that outdoor (or sun grown, as it's recently being referred to) cultivars seem to perform extremely well under artificial conditions. This is true of seed starts or clones made from seed starts. The opposite is not always true; indoor clones often give an outdoor grower headaches because they don't always make the transition smoothly. This is due to light spectrum, temperature, and/or photoperiod changes. Yes, Freakshow will do exceedingly well indoors, and will thrive and mature just fine in a wide variety of natural environments as well, so it's definitely both and I think might even prove to be more resilient to those sorts of transitions. Q. What are the potency and terpenoid levels? A. Average 18-20% THCa, THC; negligible CBD, CBN with terps variable, averaging 2.5-3.5, primarily limonene and pinene, but this is variable, there was a lot of diversity in terp combinations and compositions in all the prior generations, it's just something that was left "as is" for now. The different parallel lines that we are developing can be directed in a few different pathways flavorwise. Q. Why are the seeds white? A. Why is the sky blue? No, the mature seeds are shrouded by a rice paper thin membrane which has coloring and mottling on it, but it's so fragile that it disintegrates in the process of shucking. Stripped of the outer layer the seeds are very pale, nearly white. It came as no surprise that this plant would have abnormal seeds. Q. Is it a GMO? A. Wow...? Well, it's seriously "modified" and the modifications are definitely genetic, and it is an organism. (Genuinely Modified Organically!) Uh, no. No radiation, no recombinant DNA, no gene splicing or editing, no TALEN or CRISPR! These biotechnologies don't belong in the food and medicine plant industries. Sadly, in the near future it will become commonplace and widespread in cannabis and other medicinal plants as it is already is with food crops and ornamentals. I'll avoid discussion on this topic for now, but we hope some people enjoy consuming Frankenbud! Q. What's the floral period length? A. 8-9 wks, finishes early Oct. at most latitudes and elevations. Q. Is it a big producer? A. Freakshow will produce nice, fat, dense colas (see gallery) with remarkable trichome coverage, and you can expect yields according to your veg. time, root space, and general knowledge and expertise as a gardener. The same set of variables apply to expected outcomes regarding cannabinoid levels and terpene profiles. Q.What is the lineage? A. (Bigbud x Skunk#1) x (Big Sur Holy Weed x Banana Kush). NLD("Sativa") dominant, but the afghanica influence is apparent. I'm pretty sure that Freakshow contains some Trainwreck and some Maui Wowie based on some research I did on the origins of the Pineapple Express. Interestingly Big Sur Holyweed, OG Kush, Banana, Trainwreck, and Maui Wowie are all of unclear origins. We have to remember that these are all just names and that they don't really mean much. The exact heritage of any cultivar today is impossible to determine accurately. Also, considering the amount of continuous shameless hybridization that has occurred in the last 40 yrs., any modern kind could easily contain over 40 kinds. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. Appetite suppression is a side effect, but the enjoyment of food is enhanced. I personally will attest to all of the above. We all have different receptor profiles, so these are just generalizations. Couch unlock. Q. Is it pest and mildew resistant? A. Indeed it is. On many occasions in the last few years, it has been observed that when pest and mildew issues were affecting other plants adjacent to in the vicinity of Freakshow plants, for unknown reasons the freaks remained entirely unaffected. This includes 0botritis, PM, various mites and insects, soil fungus, etc. We haven't heard any complaints along those lines so far, so if anyone has any problems, especially with a rigorous IPM regimen in place, we would like to hear about it. And if anyone can attest to the extreme level of resistance it seems to have we'd love to hear about that as well. Q. Does it contain web-leaf genetics? A. I thought I better clarify this because there are a few people thinking that because of an article "Growing Marijuana that Doesn't look like Marijuana" that mentions that I had worked web-leaf types years ago and had eventually turned that into Freakshow. This is incorrect and I'm needing to get ahold of the writer to have him change it. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations. hey guys so we are getting very close now . i collect my new aircon unit tomo morning im going to throw straight in tent and drop down to 18 for last few weeks . I started flush begining of week on both girl looking so nice a d smell is just amazing . Til next week only a few more to go 😀

Getting ready for flowering! On day 45 I placed a metal grid (90x90cm) on the bottom of the pot and a same one on the top as a scrog grid. Then I did a huge defoliation removing as much as I could under the net, exposing many small colas that were covered by upper leaves. On day 46 I didn’t switch off the lights in the night, so the princess has been awake for more than a day. I switched off the lights in the morning. After about 30 hours of darkness, on day 47 I switched lights back on and set up the timer for the switch to 12/12. In this first week I’m waiting for the plant to empty the reservoir, then 2 days of flush, and will start kicking bloom nutes (with fungi, bacteria and sugars) at half dosage next week.

We are running pack 268, grateful to have secured them. All plants come from the same line, but we intentionally allowed structural differences through training variations. All training has been low stress, but: • One plant guided more assertively with clamps. • Others shaped gently. • One allowed more natural vertical dominance. Same genetics. Different structural expressions. Same flower development pace. That’s important context. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment & Room Conditions 📊 Current Conditions • Canopy temp: 27.9°C • Humidity: ~70% • CO₂: 1000+ ppm (lights on) • PPFD: 800 → 1300 µmol/m²/s (size dependent) The room is full now. Dense canopy. But healthy density — not chaotic. ⸻ 🌱 Substrate • Soil EC: 0.91 • Medium temp: ~22.5°C • Moisture sensor reading: ~94% (but dry-down cycles actively implemented) Dry-outs are working. You can see the EC stabilization in the chart — no runaway accumulation. The graph shows controlled feeding and dry-back rhythm. That rhythm is key. They’re drinking well. No signs of stagnation. ⸻ 💡 Lighting Strategy Main Light High intensity, climbing as canopy grows. 🌞 UVA / UVB — 6 Hours Mid-Cycle Purpose: • Mild stress stimulus. • Activation of plant defense mechanisms. • Potential terpene upregulation. • Resin density encouragement. Important: UV is not a magic switch. It is a controlled stress input. We are applying it during peak metabolic activity — that’s strategic. Monitor for: • Leaf tacoing • Excessive stress response • Overly rapid senescence So far? They look stable. ⸻ 🔴 15 Minutes End-of-Day Red Extension We’re adding 15 minutes of red-only at lights-off transition. Theory: • Increased phytochrome conversion (Pfr → Pr) • Faster “sleep signal” • More defined photoperiod closure In practical terms: We’re tightening the circadian signal. Will it radically change yield? Probably not. Will it refine plant rhythm? Possibly yes. And importantly — it’s controlled, not excessive. ⸻ 🔦 Undercanopy Lighting This is significant in the setup. Benefits: • Lower bud site development • Reduced larf • Improved airflow • More uniform photosynthetic distribution In a dense canopy like yours, this matters. The under-shots shows you good structural spacing — not suffocated. ⸻ 🌿 Plant Structure & Development All plants are: • Strongly branching • Aggressively stacking • Frost levels increasing rapidly The trained plant: • Slightly smaller • More guided architecture • Same flower vigor Defoliation response: They bounced back as if nothing happened. That’s a sign of: • Strong root system • Adequate nutrition • Stable VPD • No lingering stress You can see it in posture. Leaves are praying. Internodes are active. No droop. ⸻ ❄️ Frost Report Resin production is accelerating. Macro evidence confirms: • Early density increase • Even coverage • No patchiness This stage (Week 3 Flower) is foundation frost. Real explosion comes mid-flower. But the signal is there. ⸻ 🌡️ Driver Temperatures & Heat Consideration Measured: • 35.5°C • 32.6°C • 28.6°C Driver heat does contribute to tent ambient load. However: Our canopy temp (27.9°C) suggests ventilation is compensating properly. Week 16 ended

Because of space if had to change this plant 2 weeks ago into 12/12. Now because of space she was moved to a new grow space (that was being used to dry) I had the chance to turn again to 18/6, however I decided not to. Just feels unnatural for the plant to change to 12/12 and then back again to 18/6 even in northern extreme climates. The risk of Hermie or back to veg is very low in autoflowers, but since this plant is a experiment, I'll try to finish her in 12/12 and see how it goes. The smell of citrus dominated the tent when messed up with and the amount of trichomes are impressive, now she needs weight

Every grower wants to pick the perfect moment, but that moment is a whisper, not a shout. Here’s how to listen for it: 🌼 Trichomes Your best guide. Under magnification, they tell the story. When most are cloudy with a few amber heads starting to appear, the flowers are at their peak — full potency and rich aroma. Clear trichomes mean “not yet,” while too many ambers mean the effect will lean heavier and more sedative. 🧡 Pistils Watch the hairs. Early in flower they stand white and proud, but as harvest nears they curl in and darken to orange or brown. When roughly 70–90% have changed color, the plant is signalling readiness. 🍃 Leaf Fade As you feed only water, the large fan leaves begin to pale, pulling the last stored nutrients into the buds. Sensi Seeds Jack Herer 8 weeks of veg completed 28th Jan 2020 I performed some high stress training techniques (HST) to my Jack herer Girl during the week. Basically I pinched and bent the stems of the longest branches to make them grow horizontally rather than straight up in the air. I did this to keep the canopy reasonably even giving all the potential bud sites an even distribution of sunlight. Hopefully this will eliminate a lot of the "popcorn" small buds and create nice fat colas. We shall see in a few weeks time 😃 She also got a nice big drink of High tea which the plants really seem to love . Overall I am very happy with this plants health and characteristics. week intel: im felling in love with them everything is good . this week was time of second net layer , the first layer was for spreading the branches and doing LST now the second layer is for supporting branches for later weeks when the buds gain weight and gets heavy the net will hold branch stand up without benting. stresses: im just gonna cause a little E.C stress to raise the terpens. i found their max tolerance is 1.9 E.C so im not gonna reach or get close to that amount again and beside this wont cause any more streses untill week 6 that will do second pruning and we are done with trainings then. feeding: as always im feeding plants 3 times per week with nutrients , no plain water at all, just with nutrients with adjusted p.h at this order : day 1 : i feed them heavy with silicate +base nutrients(calcium & micros + Bloom) and karbo about 950 ppm - 1.8 e.c to cause a little e.c stress. day 3 : i feed them low dose for start of Green House Feeding Booster around 267 ppm - 0.6 e.c alone cuz this bad boy is very strong. day 5 : i feed them with medium dose of Top-Max around 160 ppm - 0.3 e.c to let them recover the stresses and eat the previous nutrients untill next feed at next week and the next 2 days will rest and eat :D just remember never feed them plain water besides the first week of germination always feed water with nutrients to feed them right p.h every time and to avoid excess water problems, and let them eat the previous meal for 24 hours and dry the soil, so at total only feeding nutrients 3 times a week other days let them dry and rest
