To me the ladies always look so small but they grow at an impressive pace. I’m in love with those nutrients, is my first full organic grow and Guanokalong is impressive, I never seen a similar root development, I transplant the plant from a 0,5L pot to a 1,5l and in 3 day I moved them again to the final 20L Plastic pot because already clogged. Which means airflow and internal light penetration become critical early. And that’s exactly why this week mattered. ⸻ 🍃 The Defoliation — Not Aesthetic. Architectural. This was not cosmetic trimming. It was: • Removing large fan leaves blocking interior bud sites • Cleaning inner congestion • Opening airflow channels • Resetting light distribution across the canopy • Helping the entire room environment (not just this plant) The room needed air — this plant was advanced enough to handle stress. That’s key. Week 3 of flower is the transition window: • Stretch is slowing • Bud sites are set • Energy shifts toward stacking At this stage, a strategic defoliation: • Improves transpiration efficiency • Reduces microclimate humidity pockets • Prevents internal leaf-to-leaf condensation • Encourages bud site activation below the top canopy This was structural architecture. But here’s where most growers confuse: 🔥 HPS vs LED Heat Behavior Under HPS: • Radiant heat warms leaf surfaces directly • Leaf temperature often equals or exceeds room temp • 28°C air under HPS can mean 30–32°C leaf temp • That pushes VPD dangerously high Under LED: • Less infrared radiation • Leaf surface temp is typically 1–3°C LOWER than room temp • So at 28°C room temp, leaf temp might be 25–26°C And VPD calculations depend on leaf temperature, not air temperature. ⸻ 🌿 What Is Leaf VPD? VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) measures the difference between: • Moisture inside the leaf • Moisture in the surrounding air But if you calculate VPD using only room temp, you’re missing the real transpiration dynamics. 9/8 D65 Seems our "good" weather is ending and if the forecast is correct for the next three days, only three of the last ten were sunny. That aint good folks not sure what can be done about it outside of artificial light and that would go on the ATF if any were available. Hey hey my fellow growers, I hope everyone had an excellent week! It is great to be back here at the beginning of week six, let’s get into it! Last week I had misspoke- I said I was going to train 5 of the 6 plants I have going from fastbuds, this was false…. What I meant is all 6… Yes at the time I had only INTENDED on messing with 5 but the last one, the way it was structured with the self top, it was practically BEGGING me to get in there and play with it- and I ask you this- who would I be to deny that little strawberry pie the simple pleasure of a little training? So train I did… Nothing crazy, but actually for all six plants (despite my best efforts, best being debatable) to not go overboard- I have been going in a doing a little bit of training and taking a leaf off here and there if it’s blocking any potential bud sites. I am trying to be really careful and not do too much at once and upset any of them- but at the same time, after stunting them a bit with the taproot incident (which I will keep referring to until I learn from that mistake) I want to do what I can to maximize yield after tripping up a bit in the beginning. We will see how it goes, but for now, everything seems to be doing well and responding well to the bit of training I have been doing. Right now I am seeing a range of sizes among the bunch- the forbidden runtz are both shorter and squatier coming in at about 5.5 inches in height each and I notice everything is spaced a bit tighter on these so I have had some difficulty spreading them out but not to any problematic extent, just in comparison with the rest- Next we have the strawberry pie- the smaller one coming in at 5.5inches, is the one that I was speaking about that had topped itself. It seems to be doing well and handling the training just fine. However the other one, that one is much bigger and is about 8.5 inches tall. It wasn’t until I busted out the ruler that I saw that this was the second biggest plant of the fast buds. That leaves the largest which of course was the gorilla cookies! The smaller of the two is coming in at 8 inches and the larger one coming in at 9.5! They are both tied down and doing great, showing growth each day after being trained and having select leaves removed. We are getting closer and closer to flower I hope to have a bit more time with them but that is totally in their hands, so we will see what happens- the game plan now for me at this point is to keep doing what I’ve been doing- trying to balance on a delicate line. As far as other news… I am doing dishes the other day- I have my phone propped up with YouTube on and dude grows playing (my preferred way to do dishes) I hear the dude mention a giveaway they are doing that I had submitted an entry for recently so my ears had perked up…👀 I saw they had the contest page pulled up and on display and I thought to myself, wouldn’t it be cool if I got to see my picture right now, sure enough- I hear them start talking about my pictures! I in no way won (at this point, my fingers are crossed though haha) and I realize that this is debatably anticlimactic however, I listen to these guys everyday at work so I was stoked! I still am! 8/17/19 I took 6 more clones prior to spraying her with silver. She has been outside for 1 week. I can already smell the tangerine. 😁 Time will tell. The clones are growing like crazy. My original date to start flowering the first 8 maybe more was 9/7/19.... but its going to get too crowded really soon. 30 plants in a 2 foot × 3 foot area gets tight quickly. And watering is a f××king nightmare daily... I actually lift each plant every day to see if it needs water. It never lies, you can always feel it. It's the best way to know. My light is wonderful...I could not be happier. It's an HLG 100 V2 4000k Quantum board. I still have two 19w lights on the side but I will move them to the second level. To use all my space. I got 6 more babies coming.

7 weeks in, and the girls are flowering nicely. Some are close to peak bloom and max feed levels (MBAP) and some have only just started to form the first small buds (PP). The 2 x MBAP and 2 x SOH seem to be the furthest along. Interesting that these are under the much more powerful 480w QB. I've no idea if there's any correlation between light intensity and the speed of an autoflower's life cycle, but all the plants I've grown under the QB seem to finish much quicker than those under the purple LEDs. Pink Panama first started showing small noticeable budding around day 45 (compared to SOH which started flowering around day 18), so I think she's gonna be one of the last to finish up. Check out the long, spindly fan leaves in the pic, the sativa is strong in this one. The mixture of different smells coming from these ladies is absolutely mouth watering. It's more like a taste than a smell!! The WW is reeking like lemon meringue pie. Not a sharp lemon smell, but real smooth and creamy. The BGS straight up smells like "Anglo Bubbly" brand bubblegum, if you know it. Super Orange Haze is certainly living up to it's name, giving off a sweet, cloying Sunny Delight type smell. But over the top off all those smells lurks the MBAP. Fuck me, this stuff stinks. Heavy and dank as hell, like some kind of swamp beast. It's quite menacing, leaves you wondering if it's safe to breathe it in :) I've had some feeding issues with the MBAP along the way, but it's knocking out some fat buds for sure. Nice long, bulky colas, which are probably going to need some support soon. The Walter White is also super impressive. She's been LST'd as much as space would allow, but the thing still looks so much like a damn Christmas tree that I want to put a star on top. Feeding levels of MC range from 5g a gallon up to 6.5g a gallon depending on the plant. Bud Explosion ranging from 1.5 to 2g a gallon. Have a great bank holiday everyone :)

It's seems that Athena finally stopped her stretch and hoping that Xena will follow her sister very soon. Buds are gaining weight and size rapidly. Lots of nice colours and tonnes of trichomes on those buds already. Week 10 Dec 18-24 Dec 18-19 Mainly observation. Xena is still stretching like crazy. both girls are developing beautifully. Dec 20 First watering for this week. 7.5 ltr beetwen both. Runoffs PH's Athena 6.2 Xena 6.3. Dec 21 Due to lack of light at lower parts of conopy decided for another selective defoliation, lowered a bit tallest branches with colas dangerously close to light by tieing them to netting. Couple cm will make a huge difference here. Could not clear well at the back wall of the cabinet due to limited access.I'm very happy with final result. Dec 22-23 Joyful observation of my 🍌💜👊girls development 🧑‍🌾 Dec 24 All is looking great. It's seems that stretch is finally stopped. Girls looking healthy and happy.
