I guess I first have to extend a big thank you to James and the folks at RQS. The genetics of their “Northern Light” did not disappoint and this was a no fuss grow across all categories. This will be the only time you hear me refer to Northern Lights in the singular. It’s kinda like calling a “pickerel” a “walleye” - you just don’t do that up here😉. She took well to training, showed no signs of lockout or deficiency, and we were at the top limits of botanicare’s recommended feeding schedule the whole time. I’d call this typical NL - the scent wasn’t overly powerful, she grew somewhat squat and while I’m actually very surprised at the final weigh (thought it would be much less), the whole grow was typical of the strain in my experience. Possibly her biggest limiting factor was simply space constraints. The photos pretty obviously demonstrate that she got really crowded out by the neighbouring kush and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if she’d have done a little better with some more room. That said, what isn’t “typical” are the effects. RQS touts this as a cup winner and I can see why. Had the opportunity to sample a little and WHOA! She Hits with a lasting, cerebral and euphoric effect that starts as a light, happy high. Not a crippling or dulling effect at all. Just everything you’d expect from a well rounded strain in general. Perfect. I almost wanna describe it as a classic sativa but I’ve been smoking nothing but a pure indica for so many months now that anything different is gonna feel that way 😂. Thank Christ for some new stash diversity: 1:! Many, many thanks to all those who cared to comment, suggest or converse on this one. It’s been a pleasure hearing from everyone and I did what I could to keep ‘er interesting : 1:. Next up will be a couple autos on RDWC before the summer outdoor season (and a significant indoor upgrade) is upon us. Took the ScrOG net out since I had messed up and let the plants get too bushy. Maybe try a full ScrOg next time. This time I think we’ll finish without it. Defoliated a little bit last week and took it slow. Tent smells strong this week when opened, very thankful for the carbon filter in the tent. Hopefully I get better bud development in the coming weeks. Currently watering each plant about 1/2 gallon every 24-36 hours each. Flushing this week then adding new ferts and lowering dosages.

22 hours after soaking in water (3 parts) and H2O2 (1 part) the tails emerged. 4 out of 4.

Veg week two. Everything seems to be ok at this point.

-Sensi Seeds Research: The Sensi Seeds Research breeding project has created eleven cannabis seed varieties. How? By combining new cannabis cultivars with a selection of strains from their long-established cannabis gene bank. For the first time in thirty-six years, they are opening the doors of the Sensi Seeds Research and Development Department. Week #13, week 6 of flowering : Everything went well during the week, maybe except the fan falling down right in the ScrOG ... damaging some stems, but after tying them to some sticks it looks ok, I don’t really see any difference in the pictures by the way. Tough genetics, I’m really happy with all of them, I can’t complain on anything. There’s buds everywhere, all dense and hard, this is what I like. 👍 Reducing BIO Bloom ( not Organic Bloom ) just a bit for this week, it might be one of the last feeding with Alga-Max for some plants and probably the last feeding for a few of them, I don’t know yet all depends on how it turns during the following weeks. 👉Tip for new growers : you must stop adding any PK boosters 2 weeks before harvest ☝️ Mars-Hydro SP 250 is very effective. I’m growing 3 small plants between the ScrOG’s, was using my tubes for seedlings to give them a bit more light but nothing was really happening, they were having a hard life trying to grow some buds. But after just a lil bit more than a week under the SP 250 they started to make buds, getting fatter and denser, even the small nuggs in the bottom are getting some light which was impossible with the tubes ! (I’m looking for a job in the Cannabis industry as Master Grower, Mineralogist, Quality Control 🐞)

Added a scrog net to help fill out the tent and it's doing its job. A lot of bud sites and really starting to take off. these seem to want to drink more than any other run I have had. I have been giving them 1 quart of water daily and they are loving it.

Seems to really be thickening up excited to see how she turns out 😍

Roots were asking for more space so now it is given to a 12,5l air pot with Royal Mix as soil. This week she is gonna be back to Sanlight LEDs and and add a nice scrog to it.

OK so I think I had a nute burn problem, this week they are on pure water and seem to be perking up a lot more now. Punch 2 has deffo put more on in buds, Punch 2 seems to be lagging idk. Anyway that's it for this week! I actually only have 2 more weeks to finish them off😭 I don't think I'm going to have enough time.

This week I watered the lady once with Clean Fruits so that 10% drain came out again 👍. Today watering was normal again (for nutrients see table above). Otherwise everything was cleaned and checked again. Once the drying process is done I'll be coming back to update the smoke report. Her terps are off the charts and she looks very resinous to the naked eye. UPDATE 02/02/24 The dry and curing process left with some of the most amazing nugs I ever seen and the most is like none other. A pungent smell of lime, diesel, piney and sweet. Pulled 13G worth of kief which wow I'm impressed by all means.
